Chapter 28: New Rivalry

Deku's P.O.V

Melissa continued showing us the sights and wonders of I-Island.

There were areas such as an aquarium, an amusement park, and more.

"A lot of these areas are gonna make their first appearance during the big showcase happening in a few days," she explained, "So you won't be the only ones new to all of this."

"Well its amazing," exclaimed Mina as she was looking around.

"Some of this stuff is usually kept secret as most of our scientists have something they wanna protect," Melissa told us.

I was definitely amazed. I-Expo was going to be a blast.

A pair of two long stretchy hands grabbed Melissa and pulled her back.

Ochako and I got into a fighting stance.

"Let go of her whoever you are!" Ochako said.

"Listen here Shield as I only got one request," The stranger said, "Give me some sugar and I won't hurt you."

I glared at the stranger.

"Hmmm…. Ok," she said as she kissed the stranger's lips.

We were all confused.

"What the…."

"Guys it's ok!" She said, "This is my boyfriend, Han Lee."

The guy took off his robe.

From what I could gather, he looked like a boxer, with strange stretchy hands.

"But you probably know me as The Workout Hero: ReCoil!"

I suddenly recognized him.

"You're the guy who won that awesome tournament!" I said, "I have some research notes on you. You managed to stop crooks from invading a gym, at the age of 15 no less!"

"That's right," Han said, "Nice to know I got a fan."

His quirk involved his stretchy arms which could punch his enemies at a distance! In addition to that, his hands are completely customizable.

Ochako giggled to herself at my geeking out.

"Han, you're doing well," All Might said shaking his hand.

Later, Melissa took me, All Might, and Ochako to a room where her father was.

"Wait out here," she said, "I wanna surprise him."

She then went in to have a little talk with her father.

"To celebrate your research, I brought a guest."

All Might went in.

"I am HERE!" He said surprising him, "Its been a long time David!"

David was amazed to see his old friend.

"It's been ages since we last have seen each other," All Might said, "How long has it been?"

"That's just gonna remind me how old I am," David answered.

They both chuckled.

"David Shield?!" I asked.

I went up to him and started geeking out once more.

"You're the top scientist who won the Nobel prize for quirk research!" I said, "And you even made All Might's silver age costume!"

David chuckled.

"An Enthusiast I see," he said.

Melissa chuckled.

"Melissa, why don't you show the others around a little more while I continue chatting with All Might?"

"C'mon Deku-Kun, let's go!" Ochako said taking my hand.

"Bakugo, I think you'll enjoy what we have in store next," Melissa shield explained turning to Bakugo, "The Training Grounds."

Bakugo smirked.

"You're speaking my language sister," he said.

We were heading to the obstacle course which had dozens of spots for different situations.

Kirishima and Todoroki were already there ahead of us.

Kirishima was using his quirk to get through the hard-hitting robots.

"Midoriya, you made it!" He said, "Welcome to paradise."

Han chuckled and said, "Looks like your friends are enjoying themselves."

"They sure are," Ochako said.

Later Bakugo was joining them.

"Looks like I'm gonna beat you guys," he said.

Bakugo was about to grab the flag when someone else snagged it.

"Oops," he said, "didn't see you there?"

Bakugo looked up and saw a boy with hair that was lighting up like fire.

He was also wearing some kind of wrestling uniform.

"And who are you supposed to be?" Bakugo asked.

"Sanjay's the name, pro wrestling's my game," Sanjay said introducing himself, "And you were about to break my record on this obstacle course."

Bakugo looked at him.

"….And?"

"And I can't have someone ruining my reputation that I am holding on I-Island, let alone a kid from UA High School."

Sanjay smirked at Bakugo.

"So what's your quirk?" Kirishima asked.

"Fire manipulation, which I adapted into my pro-wrestling moves," Sanjay stated, "When I feel the need to heat up the competition, boom!"

He punched something hard and fire came out of his hand.

"Whoa," I said, "He's like a Miniature Endeavor."

"So how about you sit back, relax, and watch how a real pro does things."

Sanjay was at the starting line.

As soon as the bell rung, he let loose.

Targets were showing up, and Sanjay knocked them all down with ease using his quirk.

He also did a spinning attack do deflect any incoming projectiles.

Everybody else was watching him.

"Hmph," Bakugo said clearly not amused.

I was busy writing things down in my notepad.

He did another one of his signature moves which included jumping in the air and landing with a punch.

He managed to keep his high score.

"Like always," he said.

Han chuckled.

"Same old guy," he said.

I turned to him.

"You mean he's your rival?" I asked him.

"That's right," answered Han, "He and I always butt heads against each other trying to see who's better at what."

"Almost like me and Bakugo/Deku," Bakugo and I said in unison surprising each other.

Sanjay got a look at Starla.

"Well hello there," he said in a flirtatious tone.

"Not interested," Starla said.

"Whoa whoa, I was just trying to…."

"Not. Interested." She repeated herself.

Han had an idea.

"What do you say you and me give this thing a try," Han said, "I wanna see what you're made of."

Bakugo turned to me.

"Give it a try nerd," Bakugo said, "I'm sure those Aura tricks of yours can help you out."

"Alright," I said agreeing.

"3, 2, 1, GO!"

Han and I started going.

I saw a robot in my sights.

To keep myself from tiring out, I only used a small percentage of aura.

"Remember what Toshino said," I told myself, "Balance my power with my body."

I shot an aura blast at the robot destroying it with ease.

Meanwhile Han was putting his abilities to good use.

He punched robots from a mile away using his stretchy arms.

Most of his special moves derive from workout routines.

He could even throw double punches and barrages.

"Give it your all honey!" Melissa said.

His arms were also good for swinging to other areas.

"Not too shabby," exclaimed Mina as she was looking.

I channeled aura around my body at a small percentage to amplify my attacks.

"It's just like Uncle Might said," Melissa stated, "He really is his successor."

I was plowing through robots one at a time. One of them was huge.

It started stomping around attempting to squash me but I was too quick thanks to the buff.

One attack accidentally hit a stall where Ochako was and she fell.

The robot looked and saw her believing she was participating in the course.

I was busy dealing with the robots and I saw her in danger.

"Ochako!"

She looked and saw me.

"Deku, help me!" She said.

I was about to head over but more robots got in the way.

Han punched one of them.

"I'll hold them off, you help her!"

I went to the robot and it was getting closer to Uraraka who was stuck.

Other robots got in my way and I used aura to blow them away.

I didn't care if I was overdoing it, I cared about my girlfriend's safety.

"Hey ugly!" I said.

The robot turned around and saw me.

I jumped up and channeled a lot of energy into my hand.

"Here goes nothing," I said.

When I was close enough to the robot I winded up for a punch.

"Aura….. SMASH!"

I punched the robot so hard it ended up falling down.

I nearly fell and hurt myself, but Ochako caught me just in time.

My arm felt super tired as I used too much energy in my attack.

Everyone was amazed at what I did.

Ochako turned to me.

"Deku are you alright?"

I looked at her and smiled.

"As long as you're safe, that's all that matters," I said chuckling.

Ochako giggled and kissed me.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you too."

Melissa went to us.

"Midoriya, that was incredible," she said, "Channeling Aura to buff your body was nothing I've seen before! Looks like Uncle Might was right about how amazing you were."

"Hey, sweetie, what's the deal?" Han said.

"What's the deal with you?" Melissa asked teasing him, "I figured you two were becoming friends."

"Well yeah, but…."

Melissa giggled.

"You're silly,"

She kissed him.

Momo turned to Todoroki who just finished his obstacle course.

"You were pretty amazing out there," she said, "You're learning how to control your quirk better."

He smiled and said, "Thank you. I did have someone teach me I don't have to be like my father."

She was about to leave when Todoroki stopped her.

"So…. I was wondering since we're gonna be here for a week or two," Todoroki started blushing a bit, "Tonight, would you like to maybe….."

"Go out to dinner?" Momo asked, "That sounds fun."

"And maybe afterward, we can…"

"Go to the amusement park? I'd love to."

"Cool," Todoroki said, "And there's supposed to be this big formal event, and we….."

"Could go together?" Momo asked, "It sounds great!"

She was walking away.

"I'll see you tonight."

Kaminari and Kirishima approached him.

"Nice job man," Kirishima stated, "You finally worked out the balls to ask her out!"

Ochako and I went back to the hotel where we were staying.

"Now that was one heck of a day," I said.

"Yes, it sure was," Ochako said, "It was so nice to see Melissa again after all these years."

"Yeah," I said.

She took off her shoes and placed them on the doorstep.

"Did I mention how cute you look in that top?" I asked blushing.

"o-oh? I do? W-well, you look handsome in those clothes. Really makes my heart beat faster." She said in an effort to get me to blush. It worked as I was blushing. "Its been a whole year since we started dating."

"I can't believe it. It's like we confessed last week." She sighed, remembering the beautiful day.

"I remember saying how jealous I was of Denki hitting on you," I said.

"mhm. But I think I handled him like a boss!" She laughed a little, remembering how she just ran away from the boy and towards me.

I was really happy that she didn't accept his offer. All that mattered now, was me and her and how happy we were with each other.

My eyes were looking into her eyes and then they started to go down and look at a specific area; Her breasts.

"So um…"

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna continue where we left off?" I asked blushing, "If not that's ok too I just…"

I kept on mumbling making her giggle.

I was surprised at first but I started to smile.

I started to kiss her back while holding her close.

Ochako blushed and giggled.

"Deku-kun, I'm all yours."

Someone punched him hard in the head.

It was Toru.

"When will you learn to stop being such a CREEP!" She shouted as she kept beating him.

Aizawa signaled for Toru to take him away.

He then looked at my dorm room.

"How did he get laid before I did?"

I stopped for a minute.

"Sometimes I wonder if I'm even allowed this opportunity, to touch something this beautiful with such rough hands."

She took my hand.

"This is the hand of a hero who never stops trying, and these scars remind him that he has what it takes to make it in the big leagues," she told me smiling, "And its the hand of the boy I love."

She placed it back on her breast.

She kissed me.

Meanwhile someone was putting on some new armor.

The gloves allowed him to create shields similar to aura, and it was blue.

"Time to test out the boss' new weapon," he said.
