A/N: KawaiiCutie12 (chapter 26): Yeah, he did rape her. Not so sure if seduce and rape are the same thing. And yes, poor Nala :(. She did not deserve this. And sadly, Aisha and Kali are products of rape. But of course, Nala loves them both, even though she isn't proud of who their father is.
KawaiiCutie12 (previous chapter): I don't consider TLG canon either. Characters like Simba, Zira, and Kiara are SO out of character in TLG. And not to mention, the timeline is confusing as hell! Simba is not the same Simba we know from SP. Simba is paranoid in SP, while in TLG he is not. Zira is a crazed lioness in SP, while in TLG she is not. She basically is... dumb if you ask me. And Kiara, she didn't want to be queen in SP, while in TLG, she's pretty bossy if you ask me.
KawaiiCutie12 (previous chapter): Thank you :). I'm glad you understand that this is my story and I do things as I please. I own this story and I'm glad you are okay with me having Kiara being Simba's only biological child. Again, thank you.
Anyways, here is Chapter 28 for you all! As always, go to Chapter 1 for disclaimers. Without further or do, here is Chapter 28.
"I think Kiara is a perfect name for her." - a year and a month old Aisha
Chapter 28: Shocking Surprise
The next day in the Rock Lands, Chaka was staring at the Pride Lands once more at the Rock Lands borders. He heard about the birth of Kiara. He was still debating rather or not he should go back now or not. "I still don't know if I should go back," Chaka thought to himself. "The new princess is born. But should I go back and see the future queen myself? What if the lionesses attack me? What if Simba doesn't let me go back? What if Kopa doesn't recognize me?" Chaka's thoughts were interrupted when he heard his older half-brother, Damu's voice, "Thinking of going back now?"
"Well," Chaka began. "I really do want to. I want to see Kiara for myself. But the Pride Landers would see me as a trespasser if I enter the Pride Lands."
"I do have to agree with you on that," Damu said. "The Pride Landers is not friendly to those who trespass their land. So I will agree with you on that."
"I was honestly going to say this to you," Chaka said. "But I'm not sure if I should say it."
"Say what?" Damu asked. "Chaka you can tell me anything."
"Well," Chaka began. "I was honestly thinking if I could bring Kopa here so we could reunite properly."
"What about your mother Chaka?" Damu asked.
"I'll reunite with her a little bit later," Chaka confirmed. "I think me reuniting with Kopa first should be a fresh start for me."
"Well," Damu began. "As much as I disagree with you, it's your decision. But will it be today?"
"It will be tomorrow," Chaka stated. "I want it to be tomorrow. I really want to see Kopa again. I really want to see how he looks like now instead of later."
"Very well then," Damu said. "Do you want me to tell Shujaa and Jamila?"
"I will do that," Chaka said. "Kopa is my brother. I want to do things my way. I want to be the one to tell them."
"Ok then bro," Damu said. "I guess I'll leave you alone now." With that, Damu gave his half-brother a nuzzle and went to go find his mother.
"I'm gonna stay here for a while," Chaka thought to himself. "I really should start thinking about how things are going to work out tomorrow. I just pray and hope that they go right." Just then, Chaka saw two pale lionesses who were roughly his age, going on a walk alone. It then dawned on Chaka that they must be Kamaria and Nadia. "Kamaria! Nadia!" he called. The two paled lionesses turned to see who called them. And to their shock, saw Chaka standing at the Rock Lands borders. They didn't recognize who Chaka was at all.
"Who are you?" Kamaria called from the Pride Lands.
"You don't remember me?" Chaka called from the Rock Lands. "I'm Kopa's littermate and half-brother Chaka." Kamaria and Nadia's eyes went wide in shock when they heard him say this.
"Chaka?" Nadia said.
"Yes," Chaka said, a smile appearing across his face. "It's me."
"Oh my goodness," Kamaria exclaimed, running to the Rock Lands along with Nadia "It really is you!" As Nadia was running, she remembered telling Kopa that Chaka was dead.
"Kamaria don't you remember?" Nadia said, remembering telling Kopa that Chaka was dead. "Chaka was alive the whole time. We just never told Kopa."
"Oh yeah," Kamaria said. "I completely forgot."
"Well then," Chaka began after a minute. "It's nice seeing you two again. You both grew nicely."
"Thanks Chaka," Kamaria said.
"Yeah," Nadia chimed in. "Thanks. You grew nicely as well. I see you have a mane on top of your head. And a small one on your chest."
"Yes," Chaka said with a nod. "Thank you."
"So tell us Chaka," Kamaria said. "Why did you bring us here?"
"I want you to give this information to Kopa," Chaka said to the twins.
"What information?" Nadia asked confused.
"Tell him to come here tomorrow before sunrise," Chaka explained. "I want to reunite with him."
"Oh?" Kamaria said, her sky blue eyes growing wide. "You want to see Kopa again?"
"Yes," Chaka said with a nod. "Tell him there's this "special lion" that wants to meet him in the Rock Lands. Just don't say my name because it will ruin it."
"Kopa will most certainly not hear it from us," Kamaria promised.
"So just tell Kopa there's this "special lion" that wants to meet him here tomorrow before sunrise?" Nadia asked, wanting a reminder.
"Yes," Chaka said with a nod. "That's all I ask."
"Do we go with him?" Kamaria asked. "Or does he go alone?"
"It's optional," Chaka said. "It's optional if you guys want to go with him or not."
"Ok Chaka," Nadia said. "But we better get going now. Wouldn't want your pride members seeing us as trespassers."
"Alright," Chaka said. "See you, girls, later."
"See ya," the twins exclaimed as they went back to the Pride Lands to go find Kopa.
"That's one settled," Chaka thought to himself. "Now I just need to go tell Shujaa and Jamila about this." With that, Chaka went to go find Shujaa and Jamila to talk to them about him reuniting with his brother.
Ten minutes later, Chaka found Shujaa and Jamila. They were inside the royal cave. So Chaka went inside the royal cave. "Hey, Shujaa. Hey Jamila," Chaka said with a smile.
"Hello Chaka," Shujaa said with a smile of his own. "What can we do for you?"
"I want to talk to you guys," Chaka said to the king and queen of the Rock Lands.
"Sure," Jamila replied with a smile. "What's up?"
Chaka took a deep breath and then began to tell them about him reuniting with his brother tomorrow before sunrise.
"So, you want this to happen here?" Shujaa asked after Chaka finished explaining.
"Yes," Chaka said with a nod. "I want it here. Plain here in this exact cave too."
"So we are all going to have to wake up early?" Jamila said.
"Yes," Chaka said. "Sorry that I have to do this tomorrow but I want to reunite with him now. Why are you guys busy tomorrow?"
"No of course not," Shujaa said. "We're just surprised that you want to reunite with your brother here and not in the Pride Lands."
"The Pride Landers would see me as a trespasser if I reunited with Kopa there," Chaka pointed out. "They aren't friendly to those who trespass."
"Very well then," Shujaa said. "Tomorrow before sunrise that is."
"Thank you," Chaka said with a smile. "And oh by the way. Tell Damu that to go to the Rock Land and Pride Land borders before sunrise tomorrow too."
"We will Chaka," the king and queen said together.
"Thank you once again," Chaka replied. "Now I'm gonna go to my hunting lesson for today. One of the lionesses is waiting for me." With that, Chaka went to go find the lioness that is waiting for him for his hunting lesson.
Meanwhile back at the Pride Lands, Kamaria and Nadia were looking for Kopa. But as much luck, they found Kopa at the watering hole alone. "Hey Kopa, can we talk to you?" Kamaria asked, approaching Kopa who was staring at his reflection.
"Yeah sure," Kopa replied, exasperated.
"Kopa, what's wrong?" Kamaria asked.
"Still the freakin' same," Kopa replied with a grunt.
"Let me guess," Kamaria said. "You got into it with our brother again."
"Yep," Kopa muttered. "No change."
"Which sucks," Kamaria muttered. Then she said, "Well Kopa can we talk now?"
"Sure," Kopa replied with a smile. "What's up?"
"Well Kopa," Nadia said. "There's a special lion that wants to meet you in the Rock Lands tomorrow before sunrise."
"A special lion?" Kopa said, the confusion clear in his voice. "What do you mean by "special lion"?"
"There was this lion that called us a few moments ago," Kamaria explained. "He asked if you were still living in the Pride Lands and we said yes. And then he told us to tell you to meet him before sunrise tomorrow."
"Why would this "special lion" want to meet with me?" Kopa asked, still confused.
"Beats me," Kamaria said with a shrug. "But he said that he desperately wants to meet you."
"Well," Kopa began. "Well ok then. I'll meet this "special lion" tomorrow before sunrise."
"Well let's just hope it goes alright," Kamaria said.
"Same," Kopa said. "I first need to tell mom and Simba that I'm going to the Rock Lands tomorrow. See you, girls, later." With that, Kopa got up to his feet and headed back to Pride Rock.
"Let's just hope things go the way they do tomorrow," Kamaria said to Nadia after Kopa was gone.
"Same," Nadia replied with a nod. "I just hope Kopa and Chaka's reunion goes well."
"I'd hate for it to go pretty bad," Kamaria said. "I'm also going to go with him tomorrow to the Rock Lands."
"Well good luck sis," Nadia said, nuzzling her sister. "Cause I ain't goin'."
"Thanks, sis," Kamaria replied with a smile. With that, the twins decided to go on a walk together.
Meanwhile, Kopa had just got to Pride Rock and went inside the royal cave where he saw his mother and step-father were laying at. He approached them and saw Kiara nursing. He also saw his two sisters laying beside Simba. "Hey, mom. Hey Simba," Kopa said. "I just want to let you guys know that I'm heading to the Rock Lands tomorrow."
"Oh?" Nala said, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you heading to the Rock Lands tomorrow?"
"Kamaria and Nadia told me there was this "special lion" that wants to meet me," Kopa explained. When Kopa said "special lion", he raised both paws and flicked two fingers down on each paw. "I'm not so sure why he wants to but they said that this lion desperately wants to meet me."
"Kopa are you sure that this lion is not going to hurt you?" Simba asked, the concern clear in his voice.
"I don't think he will," Kopa said. "Kamaria and Nadia didn't tell me if this lion was harmful or not. They just said that this lion wants to meet me pretty bad."
"Can we come with you, Kopa?" Kali asked, wanting to go with her brother to the Rock Lands.
"I'm sorry Kali," Kopa said. "But you and Aisha are not coming with me."
"And why is that?" Kali asked, her voice rising with anger.
"Well first off because I am meeting a lion you girls don't know," Kopa said, irritated. "And second of all, I'm heading off to another land that may not be an alliance to the Pride Lands."
"Kopa," Simba began. "The Rock Lands is our ally."
"Huh?" Kopa asked, confused.
"I fixed the alliance a long time ago Kopa," Simba said. "I fixed the alliance when I shunned both you and your mother." Then he looked at his step-daughters and said, "But your brother is right girls. You girls should stay here. Your brother is going to meet a lion you guys don't know, and he may hurt you."
"Fine," Kali said roughly, glaring at her brother. "We'll stay. Only because you said so, dad. Kopa, you always brought us anywhere you went. And you don't want us coming with you to a land that's our ally? Psh. You know what just go on your own. You're going to regret not bringing us anyways."
"Kali that is enough young lioness," Nala scolded, giving her daughter a sharp look.
"S-Sorry mom," Kali stammered.
"Well I'm gonna go on a walk now," Kopa said. "Just need to clear my head."
"Of course honey," Nala said with a smile. "Just make sure you come back by dark."
"Yeah, I know that," Kopa muttered, rolling his eyes in annoyance. With that, Kopa walked out of the cave to go on a walk to clear his head after his confrontation with Kibwe again.
The next day, Kopa woke up early. He slept early because he would complain about not getting enough sleep. Being careful not to wake up anyone in the cave, Kopa walked out of the cave, where it was still dark outside. He also knew the sun would come up a bit later. As Kopa walked down Pride Rock, he was met by Kamaria.
"Ready Kopa?" Kamaria asked.
"More than ready," Kopa replied with a smile. "Got some good sleep too."
"Good to hear you got some good night's sleep," Kamaria replied with a smile of her own. With that, the two lions then headed to the Rock Lands.
Twenty minutes later, Kopa and Kamaria just got to the Rock Lands where they were met by Damu. "Damu?!" Kopa exclaimed, his eyes wide in shock. "I thought you were killed by Scar."
"I was never killed by Scar," Damu said to his step-brother. "I was able to escape. But anyway, the special lion is at the royal cave. He wants to meet you now."
"Take me to this "special lion" Damu," Kopa said. "I want to meet him and why he wants to meet me."
"Alright Kopa," Damu said. With that, Damu motioned his step-brother and Kamaria to follow him and they both headed to the royal cave of the Rock Lands.
Ten minutes later, the trio reached the royal cave where everyone was waiting outside. Shujaa and Jamila exited the royal cave and approached Kopa. "You must be Kopa right?" Shujaa asked.
"Yes," Kopa said with a nod. "I am Kopa."
"The special lion is in the cave," Jamila said. "He wants to meet you now."
"Thank you King Shujaa and Queen Jamila," Kopa replied with a smile. With that, Kopa went inside the cave while Kamaria and Damu stayed outside the cave. As Damu watched his step-brother go inside the cave, he hoped that things would go the way they should go. He hopes that Chaka and Kopa's reunion goes well. Kamaria was also thinking the same as Damu as she saw Kopa go inside the royal cave.
As Kopa went inside the royal cave of the Rock Lands, the "special lion" was not facing him. Instead, had his back turned on him. The "special lion" had a light brown coat and had a jet black mane on top of his head. "Um..." Kopa said nervously. "You... wanted to see me right? I'm Kopa by the way. If you want to talk to me, what can I do for you?"
"Yes," the lion said, his back still turned on Kopa. "I wanted to see you, Kopa. I desperately wanted to see you, Kopa."
"Why do you want to desperately see me?" Kopa asked, clearly confused.
"I think you may know who I am," the lion said softly. Kopa tilted his head to the side, still clearly confused. The lion then slowly turned around to face Kopa. Kopa's eyes went wide when he saw the lion's face. The lion was his age. He had a jet black mane on top of his head and a small mane on his chest just like him. He also had emerald eyes and a light brown coat. He also has a vertical scar across his left eye, the same one that Scar had.
"Hello Kopa," Chaka said softly, a small smile appearing in his face. "Don't you remember me?" Kopa was absolutely stunned. He swore that he was told Chaka was dead. And now here he is, standing right in front of him. An image of Chaka when he was six months old was in front of Kopa until the present Chaka came back. Kopa felt tears form in his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away so Chaka wouldn't see the tears in his eyes. "I've always wanted to see you again Kopa," Chaka said softly. "I've missed you every single day since I came here a year and four months ago when me and Damu escaped the Pride Lands without Scar finding out. I've always been thinking of you. And now, I get to see you again, having a brown mane on top of your head and a small one growing on your chest. I've missed you, Kopa." By now, Chaka had tears rolling his face. He quickly wiped the tears away so Kopa wouldn't see more roll down his face.
Kopa didn't know what to say. All he could do was stare at this lion who appeared to be his brother. Kopa knew he couldn't stay in the cave any longer so he then finally said a word. "Chaka?" Kopa whispered.
A/N: I'm very sorry people, but I have to stop it here. I'm very sorry I have to leave you all in a cliffhanger like this. But *gasps*! Could this be what I am seeing right now?
And to answer anyone who asks me, is Damu Kopa's step-brother? Yes. Damu is Kopa's step-brother. And yes, Nala was forced to marry Scar during Scar's reign, so Nala would be Damu's step-mother. If Nala denied, Scar threatened to kill Damu's mother. There is your answer.
Anyways, that is it for Chapter 28. Stay safe and make sure you guys social distance. See you all later in Chapter 29!
