"I never thought I would be clothes shopping with you, Audrey." Zach commented and I turned my head giving my boyfriend a grin.
"I never thought I'd actually enjoy clothes shopping, Zach. Truthfully I only go shopping for clothes when I need to." I admitted and he blinked at me surprise in his mismatched eyes.
"I seem to be learning more about you everyday, Audrey and I have to say it makes you more interesting." Zach answered, holding the blue shirt I'd picked out earlier between his fingers. "Now what have you decided on?"
"The shirt and the jeans, Zach. I know it's not much but I really don't need many clothes. I didn't before and I don't know." I replied, the jeans folded over my left arm. When I noticed Zach staring at me with what could only be sadness in his eyes I sighed, slowly shaking my head. "Don't worry about me, Zach. Since I became like this I spent more of my time in werewolf form teaching myself everything I could to prevent myself from becoming just a mindless beast."
"Audrey, you never mentioned that to me or York." Zach muttered and I just shrugged, taking the shirt before I added it to the jeans. I didn't respond too busy trying to remember what I'd brought with me from home until Zach gently placed his arm on my shoulder and I jerked dropping the shirt and jeans onto the floor. "Sorry I didn't mean to startle you." He apologized and I just snorted, kneeling and as I gathered up the dropped clothing he ran a hand through his hair.
"It's fine, Zach. I've been a little jumpy lately but it's not your fault. Just thinking about what I'll do now that you've solved the case." I replied as I straightened and Zach's lips curled into a smile taking the clothing from me before he stepped in close enough to brush a kiss against my forehead.
"You helped solve this case saving my life in the process, Audrey. Besides I promised you a place at the FBI by my side and I wasn't lying about that." Zach told me and I nodded slolwy unable to hide a faint smile as I glanced around the store. "Now are you sure you don't need anymore clothing?" He asked me, chuckling softly to himself when I started to walk towards a long black coat that caught my eye.
We left the shop a short time later and Zach couldn't help a smile at how good I looked in the black coat I'd bought on a whim and even I thought I looked good as I headed for Zach's car just ahead of the FBI agent. Once I reached the car parked at the very back of the car-park I reached for the door on the passenger-side when Zach touched my shoulder and I turned around to find him standing there staring directly at my face. "Is something wrong?" I asked him, confused as he scratched at his chin.
"I was just thinking about how well that jacket suits you, Audrey." Zach finally replied and I briefly nodded still staring at him until he moved away and as he walked towards the driver-side I stared at his back for several more seconds before I opened the door.
Zach climbed into the car after me, a faint smile on his face which faded as he closed the door. Once I saw the way he stared out of the window a slight frown on his face I sighed to myself and he blinked, his attention shifting to me once I rested my head on his shoulder. "I know you miss York, Zach. I do too. He was a little strange but kind and brave." I told him and Zach swallowed, resting his head on mine.
"He was a big part of my life and without him I feel..." Zach trailed off, unable to put his feelings into words. Reaching over I covered his hand with mine and after a pause he intertwined his fingers through mine managing a weak smile.
"I understand, Zach. I thought I knew who I was until the attack and now...I'm not sure who I am." I admitted, closing my eyes against the sudden image of the beast who attacked me. "I'm scared that one day Audrey might cease to exist."
"Audrey, that will never happen to you because I won't let it." Zach answered, giving my fingers a squeeze and I raised my head in time to catch him staring directly into my eyes. "I promise you that I won't let you leave your side." He added and I blinked back at him my eyes widening when he closed the distance between us, his lips finding mine.
The kiss was gentle at first but I changed all that and Zach's eyes widened when I shifted in my seat. He broke off the kiss raising both eyebrows at me once he noticed I was sitting directly on his lap the steering wheel sticking painfully into my back but that didn't bother me once I saw a faint smile creep onto his lips. "You know someone could see us, Audrey." Zach pointed out and I raised an eyebrow at him until he chuckled. "Just thought you wouldn't mind me pointing that out." He added draping an arm around my waist.
"Of course I know that, Zach I just couldn't care less." I replied and he just smiled back at me, running the fingers of his hand up and down my spine until I leaned my head back slightly a faint sigh escaping my lips.
Shaking his head at my lack of concern at being seen Zach's hand moved from my waist and I smiled as he started to unbutton my shirt only pausing at the third button when he noticed something and I grinned at him as he stared at the half-undone shirt. "You're...not wearing a bra are you?" He muttered and I snorted with laughter at how red his cheeks grew.
"You just noticed that, Zach?" I answered with a smirk on my lips blinking once his fingers moved back to my shirt finishing what he started. "I thought you were more observant than that."
"Actually I thought you weren't wearing one but I didn't think it would be polite to ask something that personal, Audrey." He answered and I rolled my eyes at him, shifting close enough so that my bare chest was inches from Zach's face. Seeing his eyes widen I giggled at him liking the look of surprise on his face.
"Don't know why you look so shocked, Zach. You've already seen every inch of me remember?" I pointed out and Zach laughed when I crossed my arms raising an eyebrow at him. He finally broke off when I started to climb from his lap draping an arm around my waist before he pulled me back, capturing my lips with his own.
"How could I forget that, Audrey?" Zach teased, nipping at my lower lip and as he sucked on the mark he'd left he ran his fingernails slowly up and down my bare back. He kissed the spot directly between my breasts feeling me shudder and Zach smiled kissing his way down towards my stomach as I tilted my head back. "Now are you sure you want to risk someone wandering past my car and finding us here?" He asked me and I let out a faint growl my hands moving to his pants and he just smiled as I tugged down his zipper.
"Zach, right now I don't care as you can plainly see." I muttered as his hands moved around to cup my backside and I groaned as he slid inside me, his lips brushing my breasts before he started to move.
