Chapter Twenty Two

They stayed on the island for a few weeks and Mito gave Gon a gift from his dad. The box had a ring, a game chip, and a recording from Ging, that deleted itself after it was played. Ging said he didn't want to see Gon, but challenged Gon to find him. The memory card came from a game called Greed Island, one of the rarest and most expensive games there was. It was worth around five point eight billion jennys. They found out from Killuas brother that there would be several coopies for sale at the Yorknew auction, but it would probably cost way more. Even when they pooled their money from the arena they only had about a billion jennys. They said goodbye to Mito and Gons Grandmother and hopped on a boat to Yorknew City.

"We're almost there! Are you excited?" Gon turned to Ayami, bright smile fading when he saw her small frown. He shared a worried look with Killua and nudged her. "Aya."

"Hm? Oh, sorry Gon. Did you say something?" Ayami asked, coming back to the present.

"You okay?" Killua asked.

"I'm fine." Ayami said with a smile, wincing when Killua flicked her in the forhead.

"Liar. whats wrong?" He demanded.

"Nothi- Stop flicking me dammit! Okay! I'm just a little nervous, thats all."

"About meeting your family?" Gon asked.

"Yeah."

"You think they wont want you." Killua stated. Ayami nodded, biting her lip.

"I know they loved me when I was a kid, I remember being happy with them, but I'm not the same kid I was back then. Everythings changed. I've changed."

"Baka. Stop worrying." Killua said.

"They'll love you Aya." Gon agreed, Ayami gave them a small unsure smile.

"Honestly, I'm more worried about getting enough money for Greed Island." Ayami changed the subject. "I'll try to get some more cash when we get there, I can probably get us a few million at least, with all the rich idiots coming for the auction."

They arrived in Yorknew and went to an internet cafe, logging onto the hunters site to learn more about the game. Much to their dismay, the asking price had skyrocketed to over eight billion. Killua suggested they try to find and resell items to earn some money, but Ayami shot that down quickly, insisting that they'd get scammed. She sent them to explore the city while she put on her rollerskates and went back to what she did best, stealing. Ayami was catious, careful to pick and choose to avoid drawing attention in a city she didn't know well. She still made a decent profit, pawning her steals off at several shady shops and making almost a million in one day. Ayami grinned, running off to find Gon and Killua again. She'd start again later tonight.

Somewhere just outside of Yorknew City, the spiders were gathered at their base, awaiting their last member.

"He's not coming." Phinks growled, clicking his tongue.

"Its almost sunrise." Fietan growled.

"Damn it Hisoka." Uvogin growled. "Next time I see him, I'll tear him apart."

"Oh dear…" Hisoka drawled. "How gruesome. I'm simply terrified." He mocked, stepping into the light.

"Hisoka, you bastard." Uvo growled, jumping up.

"You're late." Shalnark added.

"I was starting to think you wouldn't show." Machi drawled.

"Why wouldn't I? You asked me to come, didn't you?" He smirked at her. "I simply had to make sure my gift for my Dancho was here." Every Troupe members eyes narrowed at that.

"You got me a gift, Hisoka?" Chrollo smirked, amused.

"Of course! But first, may I ask why we're all here?" Hisoka purred. Chrollo stood, putting his book down.

"We will take the treasures of the underground auction."

"Which treasure do you want?" Shalnark asked.

"Anchient texts, maybe?" Machi suggested. "You do love your books."

"No, but perhaps games. There will be many copies of the most expensive game ever." Feitan said.

"Wouldn't it be more logical to take the precious metals and gemstones?" Nobonuga argued.

"All of it." Chrollo corrected, stepping forward into the light. "We will be taking everything that's up for auction." His Troupe stared at him in shock.

"Hold on boss, are you serious? The Underground Aution is operated by gangs from all over the world! If we do that, we're gonna make enemies out of every single one of 'em!" Uvo yelled. Chrollo smiled at him.

"Are you scared, Uvogin?" He asked. Uvo beamed.

"No way! I'm ecstatic! Give us the order boss! I want it now!" Uvo begged.

"I give you permission to kill them all. Anyone who dares get in our way." Chrollo smirked. Uvo roared with glee, adrenaline pumping already. Chrollo turned back to Hisoka. "Now, what is this gift, Hisoka?" Hisoka smirked and pulled a phone out of his pocket, pulling up a photo before tossing it to Chorello.

"A little spider." He said. Chorello glanced at the picture and froze.

"Ayami…" He breathed. There was no doubt. It may have been six years, but he knew his daughter. The other Spiders snapped to attention, shocked to hear a name none of them had dared to say in nearly six years. The little girl they had helped raise, lost far to soon. "Where is she?" Chrollo demanded.

"Theres something you shoudl know Dancho~" Hisoka trilled.

"Feitan." Chrollo snarled. Snapping out of his shock, Feitan appeared behind Hisoka and forced him to his knees as Chrollo aproached, phone clutched in his hand. Hisoka practically viberated in excitement. "Where. Is. Ayami."

"She doesn't remember you~" Feitan twisted mis wrist, bones grinding, ready to snap. "She's in Yorknew." Hisoka drawled, shivering in pleasure at the sheer amount of bloodlust that was directed towards him.

"What do you mean she doesn't remember me?"

"From what I heard, the poor girl has amnesia~ Such a shame, isn't it~" Hisoka purred.

"Lets go. Pakunoda, Phinks, come with." Chrollo ordered, striding out of their base towards Yorknew City, dragging Hisoka with them. "Tell me everythiing." He ordered.
