A/N: Short chapter once again. I'm in a Fruits Basket writing mood. So bunch of updates.
Hatori stayed for dinner and left. Although she was sure that her eyes were red and puffy, no one bothered mentioning it to her, which she couldn't help but feel grateful and sad about. Grateful because it was her burden to bear and she didn't have to feel embarrassed, but sad because no one asked. The next day, Kyo explained that he was going to go back to train at Kazuma's only three days a week. Kyo tried to control his temper around Yuki, but it only lasted for a couple of minutes until he lost it and ran out of the house. It didn't help that Yuki was in a bad mood.
"Good afternoon!" Hatsuharu said.
"Hey Haru." Minami said as he took the books that she was carrying. "Where's Momiji?"
"He's too noisy, so I left him in the classroom." Hatsuharu said. "Is Yuki here?"
"No he went outside." She replied. "Some stuff went down at Shigure's so I think that's been weighing on his mind." Just like Kagura. There was a hand on her head and she looked up.
"Cheer up." He said. "C'ya." Then he walked away leaving a soft smile on Minami's face. As she walked back to their homeroom classroom, one of the members of the student council stopped her and asked where Yuki was.
"Do you think you can go and get him?" Takei asked and she sighed.
"Why don't you go yourself?" Minami asked annoyed.
"I'm a third year! I have much more important things to do!" Takei said and stormed off. She walked around the school and was about to go up to the roof, where she guessed Yuki was brooding.
"Minami." A voice said and she looked behind and saw Yuki.
"Yuki, the student council's looking for you." Minami said. "Something about things becoming official-"
"Minami… I.." Yuki said cutting her off as he walked forward. "I've been able to knot my tie a little faster than I used to, I finally learned to sew buttons by muself, the number of vegetables that turn out withered have also decreased… and I am more sociable with others… A;though these are only minor changes.. But to me these were things I couldn't do before… But little by little, I'll slowly change…. But this will take longer to accomplish. Minami… I'm sorry I made you worry…. I'm sorry all of us are over burdening you."
"How did you-" Minami said.
"Hatori called Shigure when you went to bed." Yuki said. "But don't worry too much about us. We'll… I'll get better… little by little… So you should spend some time worrying about your own problems, instead of always thinking about us." Minami couldn't find anything to say as a response, to his soft smile. "...This summer I plan to go out more. You said you didn't mind summer, so we'll make a lot of nice memories and you'll be able to relax more."
'If only that were true.' Minami thought sadly, the summer was where a lot of things changed. Yuki frowned slightly.
"You should stop thinking about the future." He said and she sent him an annoyed look which only made him smile. "You're always planning about what to do next, maybe you should enjoy the days as they come, sure some will be better than others. But.. we're almost out of high school, so we should enjoy every moment we can spend."
"When did you get so wise?" Minami asked and playfully elbowed him.
" I had an amazing teacher." He said and he put an arm around her shoulders and they walked back.
Later that day they invited Hatsuharu to dinner, who seemed happy to join them. Kagura appeared back and Minami couldn't find anything to say to her. So they ignored each other. For some reason Ayame was there too, with some extra crabs that he wanted to share with Yuki.
'Enjoy the days as they come.' Minami thought and took a seat and watched the group. 'Enjoy the days as they come. Seems like the same advice you would give.' She looked at the energetic group. 'Don't you think, Tohru?'
A/N: Next up Ayame's shop, then Hiro.
