It was a week later, Luz stood in the cemetery wearing black. Rain falling from the sky, mixing with the tears on her face. Her mother's casket was lowered into the grave. She stood there as the guest left slowly, one by one. After an hour, Luz was the only one standing there. She fell to her knees and cried uncontrollably. She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up.

"Eda, what do I do now? I have nowhere to go, no family left, I have nothing."

Eda kneeled down and hugged the vampire.

"Kid, you still have something. You have the Owl House, you have me, King, Lilith, Gus, Willow, Amity. You haven't lost everything yet and I won't let you lose anymore."

Eda picked up Luz and carried her to the reading of Camilia's will.

"Now, I shall read the last will and testament of Camilia Noceda." The Will Reader said, "I, Camilia Noceda, being of sound, mind, and body; hereby leave all worldly processions to my only daughter, Luz Noceda. I fear the day I leave her alone in this world but I hope that she will become the beautiful woman I know you will be."

Luz started to cry again. She can't handle everything that's happened over the past month. Being turned, fighting the one that turned her, almost killing people she cares about, and now losing her mother.

"In the event that I pass on before she's of age, then she is to be taken care of by a good friend of mine, Edalyn Clawthorne."

Luz looked at Eda with surprise. Eda wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. After the Will Reading, Luz went to her house and packed her things. Eda decided to help by using magic to teleport all of her items to the Owl House. Eda sat on the floor of her bedroom and cried. Eda sighed and handed Luz an envelope. Luz looked up and grabbed it.

"It's addressed to you." Eda said, "You don't have to open it yet but I figured you might want it."

Luz looked at it and it said 'To Luz, from Mama.' Luz tucked it into her pocket and stood up.

"I want to go back to the Owl House." Luz said dejectedly.

"Ok." Eda said.

Eda opened the portal and the two walked back to the Owl House. Luz went up to her room and locked the door. Eda grabbed her Crystal Ball.

"Lilith, it's time." Eda said.

"Meet me at the manor. I'll get the gear out."
