Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man! I am beyond hyped! The first chapter of the freakin Sports Festival! I can't tell you all how happy I am right now! I have been looking forward to forever! This arc just has so much in it. Why is it that tournament arcs are always the best in anime? Ah well, I ain't complaining. They're super fun to write! So all of you just sit back and enjoy it!

"Man…I just…I can't thank you guys enough for that." Currently 1-B was in the locker rooms of the stadium. All of the members of the class were now out of their marching band uniforms and in their P.E. uniforms. Jaune was looking at his entire class with a nothing less then completely grateful expression on his face. "How'd you do it?"

"Ask Nikkos." Tetsu grinned while pointing at the red head who was waving to Jaune with a small blush on his face. "She was the one who pulled us all together in the end."

"And it was a ton of fun!" Pony said with a giant smile on her face. "I've never played in a band before!"

"I don't think most of us have." Juzo said with a sweat drop on his face.

"Pyrrha, thank you so much." Jaune said as he walked up to the Amazon and looked right into her emerald green eyes. "If there's anything I can do to repay you, just say it."

"I-It's fine Jaune really." Pyrrha hold him with a hint of pink on her cheeks. A small smirk then came to her face as an idea came to her. "Though…a hug wouldn't hurt."

"O-Oh, uh, ok yeah sure." Jaune then followed up on Pyrrha's request and wrapped his arms around the Polarity Quirk user. Pyrrha quickly brought Jaune in close by wrapping her own arms around him tightly. Jaune's face turned red with Pyrrha having a very happy smile on her face. After about 10 seconds Jaune was about to end the hug only for Pyrrha to put a stop to that. "Uh, Pyrrha…shouldn't we…let go?"

"Mmmmmmm, few more seconds." Pyrrha told him causing Jaune to nervously chuckle.

Just then the sound of a throat clearing got their attention and the two huggers looked to see their class either grinning at them, giving them blank looks, or just not really caring. The one to clear their throat being Kendo. "Alright love birds time to split up." Kendo joked at the two's expense causing them both to blush heavily and separate. "You can cuddle later but for now, we got Sports Festival to compete it."

"ALRIGHT!" Nora cheered as she strapped her hammer to her back. "TIME TO BREAK SOME LEGS!" Everyone in the room then proceeded to give the girl either terrified or uncomfortable looks.

"Well I don't know about that part…" Kosei said with a sweat drop before grinning. "I will say I am freaking hyped for this! Going for the gold baby!"

As everyone from 1-B cheered and hyped themselves up for the competition, Monoma was seen narrowing his eyes at his classmates while leaning next to the door to the locker room. He had managed to convince a few members of his class to go along with his idea, but a majority of them were largely against it and were aiming for the top in everything.

'Hmph, it's their loss.' Monoma thought as a grin came to his face. 'I'll have the edge in the competition when it matters and shoot up to first place in the very end. There's only one true winner in this festival and its me. Those idiots at 1-A and even most of my own class won't even see it coming.'

"DAMN IT TETSU! THAT WAS SO GOD DAMN MANLY!" Kirishima was currently shedding manly tear after manly tears as he continued to stare at the tv screen that had just showed all of 1-A the performance 1-B had put on to kick off the festival. Needless to say, most of the class were completely blown away by the spectacular performance.

"Wow! I gotta hand it to Arc!" Yang complimented with a big grin on her face as she tightened up Ember Celica on her wrist. "He really knows how to put together a show!"

"Yeah that was amazing!" Izuku said with a giant smile, proud of his best friend. But then the greenette's face turned to confusion was he put a hand to his chin. "I wonder why he was acting like that on the train earlier…"

"What was that Midoriya?" Weiss asked as she sat next to Izuku, Myrtenaster sheathed on the belt she was wearing on her P.E. uniform. Some didn't give it a second glance but if one were paying attention, it seemed like Weiss was spending a bit more time with Izuku during the last two weeks. Heck, the two were often seen training together and giving each other tips on their quirks.

"Well its just that on the train ride here Jaune was acting really sad for some reason." Izuku explained to the white-haired girl, blushing a bit due to how close she was. "He was really depressed."

"Maybe he was just nervous." Ruby spoke up as she adjusted her hood, Crescent Rose strapped to her back. Thankfully Ruby was given permission to both use her weapon as well as wear her hood for the competition. The 13-year-old poked her fingers together as her body shook a little. "I think that's something most of us can relate to."

"Yeah, totally." Mina nodded in agreement before looking at the P.E. uniform she was wearing. "Although I wish we could have used our costumes though…"

"At least everyone will be in uniforms." Ojiro said as he stretched his arms. "That way it'll keep things fair."

"I wonder what will be in store for us in the first round." Sato said as he fidgeted with his hands on the table. His nervousness clearly showing.

"No matter what they've prepared, we must preserver." Tokoyami said in a calm tone with crossed arms. Shoji, who was standing behind him, nodded in agreement as the bird headed teen turned to Blake who was currently lightly polishing Gambol Shroud. "What about you Belladonna? You've been awfully quiet this whole time."

"Hmm? Oh, sorry." Blake apologized before strapping Gambol Shroud to her back. "I guess its just gonna be a bit weird being out there. I'm not used to having a lot of people looking at me."

"Aw come on don't be shy Belladonna!" Yang smiled at Blake as she walked next to the black themed girl and started poking one of her cat ears. "Show the world those cute kitty ears!"

"Please stop touching them." Blake frowned.

"Everyone! Get your game faces on!" The door to the locker room slammed right open as Iida came in with a serious look on his face. "We're entering the arena soon!"

"Swallow your fears! Swallow your fears! Swallow your fears!" Mineta constantly repeated as he wrote the kanji for fear on his hand before swallowing them up. Izuku put a hand to his heart and took deep breathes to try and calm himself down as Weiss put a reassuring hand on his shoulder when-

"Midoriya." The stoic tone of voice got the greenettes, and even everyone else in the room, attention as he watched none other then Shoto Todoroki approaching him with his usual expression on his face.

Izuku, along with Weiss still next to him, stood up and faced the dual haired teen. "Hey Todoroki." Izuku nervously greeted as he stared into the dual colored eyes of who can be considered the strongest member of his class. "What's up?"

Everyone in the room, even Bakugo, watched as the two interacted. Todoroki was silent at first as he looked into Izuku's eyes. The greenette having a bead of nervous sweat come down his head as it seemed like the son of the number two hero starred right into his soul. Finally, after what felt like eternity, Todoroki spoke again. "From an objective standpoint, I think its safe to say that I have better control and experience with my quirk as opposed to you." Todoroki was thinking about saying he was stronger than Izuku but…remembering the USJ nearly made him bite his own tongue.

Izuku flinched a bit as everyone else continued to watch in surprised. Why did Todoroki just walk up to Izuku just to tell him that? It made no sense. The two hardly interacted before so why was the fire and ice quirk user doing this now. Weiss knew one thing, she wasn't very happy with how he was speaking to Izuku. "Um…well…yeah." Izuku couldn't help but agree. He had spent most of his life quirkless while Todoroki had it his whole life. Not to mention he was aware after the training incident with Bakugo that his emotions could cause him to lose control.

"However, you got All Might in your corner helping you out." That statement from Todoroki really made Izuku flinch. Was Todoroki onto them? Did he…did he somehow find out about One for All?! That would be seriously bad! Especially since theirs an evil clone on him somehow doing who knows what. "I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you."

Nearly everyone gasped at Todoroki's outright declaration of war. Izuku was slightly shaking. First Todoroki catching on and now this? What was this guy's deal? Despite the tension being thick enough to cut with a knife, Kaminari couldn't help but crack a joke. "Geez, really out for blood here huh Todoroki?" The electric quirk user joked with a nervous chuckle.

Todoroki didn't turn towards Kamanari as he said. "I'm not here to pretend to make friends." His tone as cold as his right side.

"Now excuse me, but that's completely uncalled for." Before Izuku or anyone for the matter could say anything, Weiss stepped in front of Izuku and glared right at Todoroki. The heiress pushed the dual quirk user away, something that took him off guard as shown by his eyes slightly widening, as she harshly poked his chest. "There's being competitive, and then theirs being hostile. We're all here to win. Myself included. But if you're just going to be a jerk about it like this, then you can do us all a favor and leave."

That really took everyone by surprise. Not only has Weiss been hanging out with Izuku more, but now she was defending him from Todoroki. Weiss and Todoroki glared into each other's eyes before a moment turning around and sighing. "Whatever." Was all Todoroki let out before he started to walk away, bumping past Iida as he left the locker room.

Weiss crossed her arms and nodded before looking to the rest of her class. "We should probably get going ourselves. Don't want to keep the crowd waiting after all." Everyone nodded in unison as they got up and lined up and proceeded to walk out of the locker room towards the area they would all be competing at. Todoroki was farther ahead of them due to leaving first with Izuku looking at the back of his head.

Izuku wanted to say…something to Todoroki. He deserved a response at the very least. He just both didn't know what to say and didn't think this would be would be a good time after all of…that.

"Are you ok Midoriya?" Izuku looked behind him and saw Blake giving him a mildly concerned look. "What was up with Todoroki right now?"

Izuku gave Blake a small smile and nod to reassure her. "Yeah I'm ok." Blake smiled a bit at his answer as Izuku looked forward again. "I…want to ask him whats up but I guess that will have to be saved for later."

"Got that right." Yang spoke up, eavesdropping a bit, as the blond cracked her knuckles with a challenging grin on her face. "It's time to compete!"

"Alright everyone! Now's the moment we've all been waiting for!" Ports voice could be heard through out the entire stadium. Everything was ready for all the first-year classes to come out and show the world what they were made of! And the cheering crowd couldn't be more excited over that. "The First-Year students of our prestigious academy are here for one reason and for one reason only. To show all of you just want the next generation of heroes will look like."

"Now lets give all of our students a grand cheer as they make their appearance!" Oobleck followed up as he took a swing of his bottomless thermos of coffee. "First up is the class that actually battled the forces of evil weeks prior and the class that my very own nephew is in! The hero students of class 1-A!"

The crowd cheered as class 1-A made their debut and walked out onto the field. 'Why'd you have to hype me up like that Uncle Oobleck…' Izuku thought with his nervousness probably at the max as he looked at the thousands of people watching him. And that's not counting TV. "T-T-T-T-There's s-s-s-so many people…"

"I know, isn't it great!" Yang cheered as she waved her hand in the air, basking in the glory.

"It's just another aspect of being a hero we'll have to get used to." Iida said in his usual professional tone as he walked forward along with his class. "When we're pros eyes are always going to be on us similar to this. We must still give our best despite the pressure."

"Pressure is certainly true…" Ruby mumbled as she tried to hide her face behind her hood.

"And they might not have fought any villains, they did put on that spectacular performance for us and are not to be underestimated!" Port hyped up the next class that was coming. "The hero students of class 1-B!"

Everyone cheered again as 1-B came out on the field. Many were nervous but some were confident. In the nervous field was Jaune who know had a better look at the crowd around them. "Why is it that the crowd seems…bigger now?" Jaune gulped audibly.

"Y-Y-Y-You c-c-can s-say that again…" Due to her nervousness, Pony ended up stuttering in English.

Among the confident was Tetsu who simply smashed his fist together and released some steam from his nose. "It's time to show the world how many I am. How manly we all are!" Tetsu said, trying to hype up his class as well.

"Hmph." Monoma let out with his trademark smirk still on his face. All of these people would know who the superior class was.

"Next up we have the General Studies classes C, D, and E!" Oobleck announced as three classes worth of students came out into the stadium all at once. Most of them looking like they'd rather be somewhere else. The one exception to this was the one in front who was a boy with purple hair and plenty of bags under his eyes. "While not in hero training, these kids are still making a difference to make the world a smarter place. It's like I always say, history good, ignorance bad! Read a book!"

"And up next is the students that will come to be massive aids to the heroes in training here!" Port announced the next batch of students coming out all of whom had special hear on them. And if one looked closely, a brown pair of bunny ears could be seen. "Support Courses F, G, and H!"

"And finally we have the students that will be furthering the world of economics and stock markets, the Business courses I, J, and K." Despites Ooblecks attempts in showing them a bit more light, the cheers weren't quite as loud for the business course.

All 11 classes headed over to the very middle of the stadium, all eyes on them. This was it, the biggest event in the world and they were all a part of it, some less excited then others however. But that didn't matter as they looked up to see the referee of the first years Sports Festival, the R-Rated Hero Midnight. "Now the introductory speech!"

All of men in the audience, and a number of women, all looked to Midnight with dopey grins on their blushes faces. Not only would they get to witness what the first years were all about, but they could also enjoy some eye candy.

While there were still wondering if what Midnight was wearing was appropriate for a high school game, with a certain green haired woman tempted to cover her white haired daughters eyes, there was a certain grape haired boy gave a big thumbs up only for a certain blond brawlers fist to collide with his head.

"Silence everyone!" Midnight yelled into the microphone to get everyone in the stadium to quiet down. "Now for the student pledge, for the first time in UA history we have two students delivering it. Both Izuku Midoriya from class 1-A and Jaune Arc from class 1-B!"

"…..Huh?"

"….What?"

"Whoops." Up in the commentator's box, Oobleck let that slip causing Port to raise one of his bushy brows at him.

"What?" Port asked his co-commentator.

"I may have forgotten to inform my nephew and his friend they had to give a speech." Oobleck revealed making Port's eyes widened a bit.

"Wow…" Port shook his head at the doctor. "You are a terrible uncle."

'WE'RE NOT READY FOR THIS!' Both Jaune and Izuku thought in a panic, all color drained for the two boys as everyones attention was on the two of them. They had absolutely no idea what to say and the fact that everyone's eyes were on them was not helping at the least.

'What do we say?' Jaune thought, trying to mentally communicate with Izuku.

'I have no idea!' Izuku thought back as the two boys looked to each other. 'Why didn't anyone tell us we'd have to do this!?'

Oobleck sneezed from up in the commentator's box.

At this point, a few of the students were snickering at the two's expense as they tried to think of what to say. But then suddenly, All Might's words came into their heads like a roaring lion.

'PROUDLY SAY WE ARE HERE!'

'Well…here goes nothing.' Both boys said in unison as they took a step closer to the single mic on stage. Everyone quieted down as the two took a deep breath and…

"WE ARE HERE!"

Everyone in the stadium was taken aback by their words. The boys gulped, but nodded as they decided to just rip the bandage off and say what felt right. "I'm sure we can guess what many of you are thinking." Jaune said with a slightly lowered head. "We don't really look like much and there are probably other more powerful students that should be standing here instead."

"And maybe that is true." Izuku followed up on what Jaune was saying. But the two boys then looked up and, despite their nervousness, gave everyone around them a look of determination. "But that's exactly why we're going to be giving it our all to win this festival!"

"We've worked hard, received help from others, and have to leave our mark."

"We're both shooting for the top. That means we'll have to try and defeat each other."

"But we won't let any of that hold us back! We'll give it nothing less then 100% to try and not only win this, but be the best heroes this world has ever seen!"

Izuku and Jaune then glanced and nodded at each other as they decided to finish this and shout at the top of their lungs into the mic.

"WE'LL GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!"

'Uh-oh! Did we say something wrong!?' Izuku and Jaune thought in unison as they were meant with silence after there speech. Great, one of the biggest events ever and they blew it from the start. Well, Izuku blew it Jaune still had that opening show to brag about but still! They couldn't believe how badly they-

"YEEEEEEEEAHHH!"

"WOOHOO!"

"THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!"

Suddenly the two boys were bombarded with cheers from the crowd, as well as one extremely loud sob, as they saw everyone in the stands, as well as some of their fellow competitors, cheering for them. The two felt a little overwhelmed, but simply bowed as they stepped off the podium with both boys heading back to their respective class.

"Deku! That speech was amazing!" Uraraka cheered for the greenette with a pumped-up fist.

"Way to bring the fire there man!" Kirishima complimented him with a slap to the back

"Hehe, thanks guys…" Izuku sheepishly accepted the compliments. Just then the greenette felt a specific pair of eyes on him and looked to see Todoroki starring at him. Izuku matched his eyes with Todoroki's and gave the dual haired boy a nod. Todoroki nodded back before looking away.

Weiss looked to Izuku and smiled with a bit of pink on her cheeks. She was about to go over to compliment his speech when-

"Midoriya! You two were great up there!"

"Huh?" Izuku's eyes widened as he heard the familiar voice right behind him. So turning out he was quite surprised to see the bunny girl herself Velvet Scarlatina with a box connected to a strap around her shoulder with the box having the same color scheme as her special camera. "Scarlatina?! What are you doing here? Aren't you a second year?"

"In the hero course yes." Velvet told Izuku with a smile as a few of Izuku's fellow 1-A students looked to them with some surprised to see the bunny girl. Weiss however was narrowing her eyes at the chocolate brown haired girl with tightened fist. "But in the support course I'm a first year. So Principle Nezu said I could choose if I wanted to be in the first year festival as a support students, or in the second year festival as a hero student."

"Why'd you choose to be a part of the first year though?" Iida asked bunny girl while making his usual robotic movements with his arms. "Surely the second years could give you a better chance to be scouted."

"Well I don't have to worry about that, I'm all set when it comes to that." Velvet reassured class 1-A's rep with a wink. "And I guess the reason is…um…" Velvet looked to Izuku with her face slowly turning red. She quickly looked away before scratching the back of her head sheepishly. "I-I-I g-guess I-I-I just wanted a c-chance to try o-out s-some of the s-stuff I-I made since s-support s-students can bring the g-gear they made into the f-festival."

Izuku nodded, buying the excuse, when suddenly Ruby rushed in front of Velvet with stars in her eyes. "Ooooooo! What kind of stuff did you bring?!" Ruby excitedly asked, eager to see some cool support gear. "Show me! Show me! Show me! Show me!"

Yang was quick to pull her sister away from Velvet by the hood. "Easy their Otaku." Yang laughed a bit as she pulled her sister towards her. "You can fan girl after the festival." Ruby pouted as Yang let out go. The blond brawler then smirked as she looked to Weiss and saw the white themed girl still glaring at Velvet. Laughing a bit, Yang couldn't help but take advantage of the situation. "Doing alright their ice queen?"

"I told you not to call me that!" Weiss snapped at Yang before quickly going back to glare at the scene of Velvet and Izuku talking to each other. "And I'm doing just fine thank you very much."

"Alright, whatever you say." Yang crossed her arms behind her head while smirking. "Jealous~"

"What was that?" Weiss glared at Yang again.

"Nothing!"

"Alright everyone! Now that we're all positively aroused by that speech!" Midnight spoke up again, getting everyones attention as they all looked to her. Some took not of the word Midnight emphasized and blushed brightly and chose to just forget about it. The screens set up at the top of the stadium changed to say 'First Game' which showed that the Festival was really getting underway. "Its finally time to get these games started! This is where you all truly begin feeling the pain! The first fateful game of the festival!"

A holographic screen then appeared right behind Midnight that had a roulette on it going at high speeds. "What could it be?" Midnight said as the roulette kept going, and going, and going…until it finally stopped.

OBSTICAL RACE

"So an obstacle course huh?" Jaune said with a gulp. Something told him his sword and shield weren't going to be of much help in this event.

"All 11 classes will participate in this treacherous contest." Midnight began explaining the rules and details of this event with the screen behind her showing a visual example of it. "The track is four kilometers around the outside of the stadium. I don't wanna restrain anyone, at least in this game." Midnight licked her lips as she gave the students a rather…fierce look. "As long as you don't leave the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires." The R-Rated Hero then pointed her flogger-style whip at a red gate. "Now then, take your places, contestants!"

All the students quickly went over in front of the gate as three green lights lit up at the top of it. Everyone got their game faces on and was ready to rush out that gate once it opened.

'I have to be smart about this and be ready for anything…' Izuku thought as he took deep steady breaths.

'I can't let myself fall behind…' Jaune thought as his fingers twitched a bit.

Beep!

One of the green lights went off.

'I WILL come out on top!' Ruby thought with determination as she got ready to take off.

Beep!

Another light went off.

'You can do this big brother.' Eri thought as she kept both of her eyes down at Izuku, full of hope that her brother would be the winner.

Beep!

The third and final light went off.

"BEGIN!"

Not wasting a second once the gate was open, everyone proceeded to try and rush forward. All students from all the courses ran as fast as they could towards the gate. "So tell me Oobleck, what would you say is the hardest obstacle this race has to offer?" Port commented while looking at his co-commentator.

"The same obstacle you have to face whenever you leave a buffet!" Oobleck answered with a small grin on his face as Port looked offended.

"Hey!"

"The front door." True to Oobleck's words, it seemed the students were struggling right off the bat as they tried to all squeeze through the rather right space that was the gate leading to the actual track.

"UGH! HEY MOVE YOUR ELBOW!"

"I CAN'T BREATHE!

"WHO THE HELL TOUCHED MY ASS?!"

"MINETA STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION!"

"So this is the first obstacle huh?" Suddenly, before anyone knew what hit them, a cold blast of ice came out of the gate and freeze some of the stadium as well as the path forward. This student being of course Shoto Todoroki as he gained the lead as he made a path of ice ahead of him to help him gain speed.

"Apologizes, but I don't to-what?" Suddenly speeding past Todoroki was a red blur that left a trail of…rose petal behind it? "What a minute…" Todoroki narrowed his eyes at the blur and-

"AHAHAHAHA! EAT MY ROSE PETALS!" It was none other then Ruby Rose who quickly speed ahead of the competition. "SEE YOU AT THE WINNERS CIRCLE!"

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" The loud and obnoxious voice was followed by explosions as Bakugo, with his eyes full of rage as per usual, was using his explosion to launched himself forward. "I'M NOT LETTING THE FLOWER BITCH OR THE ICY-HOT BASTARD WIN THIS!"

Todoroki clicked his tongue as he quickly ran ahead to try and past the Rose Burst Quirk user.

While a majority of the UA students had their feet stuck in ice the hero students, along with some of the support students, were finding ways to truly get into the race. Aoyama using his laser to launch himself, Momo creating a pole vault, Yang using Ember Celica in a similar way to Bakugo using his quirk and using them to launch herself into the air like a super jump.

Some even took advantage of the trapped students and used their heads as foot stools. Namely Blake, Ren, and Velvet with the latter only have to do it once or twice due to her incredible jumping ability.

"Here it goes…" Weiss created a black glyph underneath her feet and proceeded to us it to launch herself forward. Planting her feet on the ice Todoroki made, the heiress created two white glyphs under her feet and proceeded to ice skate on the path Todoroki made with the skill of a professional and was quickly gaining speed.

'One for All…Full Cowling!' Activating his quirk, Izuku leapt forward and proceeded to run across the ice and thanks to Full Cowling he was able to hold his foot decently well but still had to be careful.

"Welp you know what they say…do or die." Jaune had an idea for the ice. A most likely very stupid idea. But it was like he said, it was do or die time. So jumping as high as could, Jaune unsheathed his shield…underneath his feet. When Jaune landed, his left foot was on the front of his shield with the right foot pressing down on a button. The button that activated the shields booster.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Jaune screamed as he road his shield like a surfboard by keeping his right foot pressing down on the booster button. It took Jaune a minute to find his balance and actually move forward, but once he did, he smiled as the wind blew against his hair. "YEE-HAAAWWW!" Jaune cheered as he shields surfed forward as Nora passed by him through the air with her weapon in grenade launcher mode and was using it to rocket jump forward.

"WHEEEEEEEEEE!" Nora cheered throughout the entire experience.

"I have to catch up to her. I won't lose!" Todoroki said as he went as fast as he could to try and past Ruby.

Just then purple balls hit and stuck to the dual quirk users ice as Todoroki looked back to see Mineta approaching him by bouncing on his head balls with rather skillful jumps. "You think you're so cool but I've outsmarted you!" Mineta yelled as he pointed to Todoroki in midair. The midget divebombed towards Todoroki as he ripped some more balls of his head. "Now prepare for this! My special attack!"

"GRA-"

WHAM!

"AAAAAAAAAHHH!" Suddenly Mineta was hit by a large metallic object that sent him flying.

"AHAHAHAHAHA!" Yang laughed as she saw the little pervert go flying.

"Targets acquired. Prepare to die." In front of everyone and causing them to stop running was a large group of the very same robots any non-recommended student in the hero course had to face to get into the school.

"Ohoho, looks like it's time for our heroes to come face to face with some villains!" Port's voice was dramatically heard throughout the stadium with even the competitors able to hear him. "Behold the Robo-Inferno! Only those with a truly manly resolve will be able pass this part of the race!"

"Ah yes, those robots will be all over our students like my sister when a new episode of her favorite soap opera comes out." Oobleck joked followed by him and Port sharing a laugh and-

"I HEARD THAT OOBLECK!"

Oobleck and Port flinched when they heard the voice of Inko yelling. "I…was not aware she was here." Oobleck said with a bit of a frightened tone.

"Someone's in trouble." Port chuckled quietly.

In the stands, Inko went from being mad at her brother to looking at the screens showing the race itself with worry. The camera even showed her son in front of the robots for a moment only increasing her anxiety. "No, no, no." Inko let out as her body shook. "You can't fight those things! Please run-away baby!"

"Its ok mama." Eri told her adoptive mother. The girl's eyes never leaving the screen as she watched out for her big brother. "Izuku's the strongest. He can do it."

Inko took a couple of deep breathes to calm herself down before giving her daughter a shaky smile. "You're right sweetie." Inko said with a shaky smile before looking at the screens again. "I shouldn't worry. He'll be just fine…"

'Who's the adult?!' Many of the people sitting around Eri and Inko thought in unison having heard the and watched the scene…with many of their feet soaked in tears.

Back at the race, the students look at the small army of robots. Some gulping, some eager to start breaking metal, and some wondering where the heck U.A. gets the money for this stuff. With Ruby, the girl took a deep breath as she unstrapped Crescent Rose from her back while it was in sniper mode and aimed it at the ground. "Here we go…" Ruby muttered before pulling the trigger.

Cue: This Time (From Shadows Part 2)

With her quirk still active, Ruby used the force created from shot to launched herself into the air and towards the biggest robot on the field. It was a giant zero pointer and Ruby landed right on its arm. Quickly switched Crescent Rose to Scythe mode and swung it over her shoulder, stabbing the tip of her scythe with the safety off into the robot's arm.

Ruby then fired off shot and after shot to aid her in speed as she kept running up the robot's arm. The massive zero pointer look noticed off this as Ruby was approaching its shoulder and lifted its other hand up to try and swat the girl away. At the last-minute right as Ruby reached the top of the arm, the girl jumped down as causing the robot to hit itself and smash off its own arm.

"YEEEEEEEEEAH-HOOOOOOOOO!" Ruby yelled out with a giant smile on her face as she landed on robot after robot, using them as spring boards to aid in her descent down. Ruby preformed a roll once she hit the ground to keep her momentum going and kept running forward.

Looking back, she saw that multiple robots, including the one she was just running on, had been frozen by Mr. Icy-Hot himself who was also running towards Ruby, clearly wanting to take her first-place spot. "Can't catch me that easily!" Ruby yelled as she quickly took off.

"Gonna have to do better than that Todoroki!" Yang yelled as she charged towards the falling robots with and massive smirk on her face. Due to the way Todoroki froze the robots, the robots quickly started falling and threatening to land on the students. While some of the students managed to either dodge or simply get out of the way, with the exception of Kirishima and Tetsu who weren't so lucky, Yang decided to charge right ahead and handle these falling bots the way she handles most of life's problems.

Punch the hell out of it!

Yang was having the time of her life as she effortlessly punched falling robot pieces, ice, and robot pieces covered in ice that got in her way and kept trucking through the obstacle course. "Take that you overgrown tin cans!" Yang yelled as she smashed an intact two pointer robot into scrap.

Blake narrowed her eyes as she took Gambol Shroud off her back while stilling running forward despite the robots, falling or otherwise, and tightenly wrapped the ribbon of the weapon around her wrist before throwing it forward while hitting the trigger of it at the same time. The recoil sent the weapon flying forward and stabbing into the eye of a decently tall three pointer. Blake smirk and she pulled hard and sent herself towards the robot. Landing on its head, the cat girl kept going as she used the grapping feature of her weapon to pull herself forward and past the robots.

With Pyrrha, the girl ran forward without any fear in her eyes. Her hands glow as she sent a large magnetic wave forward towards the robots that tried to block her path. It did the trick immediately as the magnetic wave from Pyrrha's polarity quirk fried the robot's circuitry and deactivated them. "I'm sorry!" Pyrrha apologized as she ran past the broken bots.

End Music

"And here we have a perfect example of students using their quirks and abilities to their full advantage." Port commentated as more students managed to get past the robots. "U.A. focus's on bringing one skills and quirks to the limit and past that and we can see that in full affect here."

"Indeed! Notice how the students all have their own ways of getting past the robots!" Oobleck pointed out as each screen in the stadium was focusing on different students. "The ones with power-based quirks are demolishing everything in sight and keep going forwards." Some screens were showing Yang, Tetsu and Kirishima, and Izuku destroying any robot that get in their way along with Kamakiri slashing apart any robots in front of him and Sen drilling right through them. "Others are trying to avoid them all together and jump right on through the robots." Other screens showed Velvet using her weapon to create a holographic jetpack on her back and, added in with her amazing jumping ability, leap right past the entire field along side showing Blake and Ren hopping across robots and debris as well as Bakugo, Sero, and Tokoyami who were using their quirks to get past the robots in a similar manner. "And as he saw with Miss Rose, those with great speed can easily pull ahead of the competition with the right skillset."

"However, there are also times where the students will be put into situations where they will have to think outside the box." Port said with a grin behind his mustache. "Such us with our next obstical!"

"I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD-WOAH!" Ruby barely managed to stop herself before she came face to face with the next obstacle.

A giant pit.

The rose girl looked to see a large chasm in front of her with multiple rock formation spread apart as platforms with tight ropes connected them.

"Behold! The Fall!" Port announced as Ruby gulped and started her journey across the tight ropes.

"Ok Ruby, you can do this." Ruby said as she went through the ropes as fast as she could to where she wouldn't fall off. "Slow and steady wins the race…"

Soon enough the other students caught up and were wondering how they were gonna get past. "How did they even manage to build something like this?" Uraraka questioned as she was seriously wondering both how can UA get somethings done so quickly and just how much dang money did they have?

Just then Tsuyu stepped up with a bit of a smile on her usual blank and froggy face. And doing what Frogs typically did best, Tsuyu got into the right position and made a great leap forward and clearing half of the tight rope with her stick hangs grabbing onto it. "Finally, my time to shine." Tsuyu said confidently as she started crawling across the tight ropes, her froggy abilities being put their max potential here.

At the same time, Velvet caught up and proceeded to do what rabbits also did best. You guess it, jump! Bending her legs down as far as she could and proceeded to leap forward. And Velvets jumping abilities were far superior to Tsu's as the frog girl watched as Velvet landed on the platform she was crawling to and then started jumping from platform to platform.

Letting out a sigh, a small tick mark appeared on Tsuyu's head as she just kept going. "Ribbit, rabbits one, frogs zero." The frog girl admitted.

"Hehehehe, yes finally." A new voice got the attention of both Uraraka and Mina, who was standing next to the gravity girl, as they looked to see a student who was likely from the support course based on all the gear she was wearing. This girl had pink hair and a rather crazed look on her. "This is my chance to show off what I can do. My support items are gonna steal the spot light from these wannabe heroes. Everyone! Observe what my brilliant gadgets can do!"

"Wire arrows plus hover soles!" Before anyone could question what those were, an arrow with a wire attached to it shot out of her belt and attached itself to one of the rocky platforms in the chasm. "This is the perfect obstacle to show off our ingenious ideas and creations to any companies out there who might wanna recruit us!"

Everyone then watched as the special boots the support girl was wearing hovered her up into the air and dragged her forward into the chasm. Most gasped as they witnessed the pink haired girl fall into the pit, but the grin never left her face as she pressed a button on her device. The cable attached to the arrow she shot out proceeded to pull her towards it as the girl landed her hover soles on the wall of the rock pillar she was going up and essentially hovering upwards until she landed on the platform.

While everyone was standing around and watched as the girl made it halfway through the chasm with her gear, Weiss step forward while creating a large glyph under her feet. "Enough standing around, we need to push forward." The heiress then looked forward with her usual calm and confident look and proceeded to easily run across the tight rope.

'Just stay calm Weiss. Remember you're training.' Weiss mentally told herself as she kept going forward. 'Keep your powers in check, keep your eyes on victory, and swiftly take down anything in you pa-'

"OUTTA THE WAY ICE BITCH!" Weiss didn't even have time to react as Bakugo blasted his way through the air past her…with his explosions knocking her off balance. Weiss closed her eyes as she thought she was going to fall right into the bit below…only for someone to grab her wrist.

Weiss peaked her eye opened with both of them soon widening as she looked at who saved her. Hanging onto her wrist with one hand and hanging onto the tightrope with the other was none other then Izuku Midoriya. "Don't worry! I got you!" Izuku told her before he started to swing himself a little bit on the tight rope.

Once the greenette built up enough momentum, Izuku threw Weiss as hard as he could. The snow haired girl let out a bit of a scream but successfully landed on the platform she was heading to. The heiress quickly stood up and looked to see Izuku still hanging on the tight rope. "Go! Don't worry about me!" Izuku told her while looking right into her eyes. "I'll catch up! I promise!" Weiss hesitated for only a second, but she sent a nod to Izuku before going run.

"Woohoo!" Cheering was heard as some of the racers looked to the sky and saw Pyrrha standing on her shield and using her polarity to fly herself across the chasm. "I rule the sky!" Pyrrha cutely cheered as she tried to keep her balance.

Meanwhile Iida was balancing on the tightropes and using his engine legs to propel himself forward with the act making him look incredibly foolish.

While Jaune was taking a slow and steady approach and crawling from tight rope to tight rope. Blake was crawling across the tight ropes on all fours in a similar manner to, well, a cat.

"Well, well, well, looks like most of our students have managed to pass The Fall." Port commentated while stroking his award winning stache. "Kids these days really are full of suprises."

"Yes but we saved the most dangerous and hardest obstacle to pass for last!" Oobleck announced with a rather small grin on his face. "Getting past this on is gonna be no easy feat for any of our students! You all better step carefully when you run onto a minefield!"

"Wait what?!" Ruby let out as she quickly made a stop before she came across the final obstacle. Todoroki was right behind her but even he stopped when he heard what was coming next. The two managed to stop right before they stepped onto the field but one of the rose petals created by Ruby's quirk blew forward in the wind.

Todoroki and Ruby watched as the petal slowly descended into the ground of the mine field and when it landed-

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Both watched with widened eyes as a large explosion was set off just because of one little rose petal hitting one of the dark circles on the ground. "Oh boy…" Ruby squeaked as both she and Todoroki were forced to step carefully through the field and not able to use their quirks.

"For those who might be a little worried about this last one, don't be. Those mines were specifically designed for these very games." Port reassured everyone watching the games. "They aren't that powerful. Just enough to throw you off your game and slow you down!"

'Clever. Those in the lead are actually at a disadvantage here.' Todoroki said as he tried to carefully take Ruby's lead. However, the girl wasn't giving in as she took some risky jumps to make sure that the dual haired boy wouldn't pass her. And it was working so far. 'Guess it makes for good entertainment.'

BOOM!

"YOU TWO GET BACK HERE!"

"Oh no." Ruby let out as both her and Todoroki looked behind them and saw Bakugo, who was still launching himself with his quirk, quickly approaching them.

"Bastard!" Bakugo yelled as he looked right at Todoroki. "Your declaration of war was to the wrong person!"

"Oh! And it looks like 1-A student Katsuki Bakugo is keen on taking the lead!" Port commented as he slammed his fist down on the desk.

Oobleck however wasn't so enthusiastic. "Yes, great." The doctor said with sarcasm in his voice.

'Even Iida is having a tough time getting through.' With Izuku, the greenette was watching as everyone ahead of him struggled to get past the minefield. He saw that Ruby, Todoroki, and Bakugo were all battling over the lead as everyone in between him and those three were either trying not to get exploded or were being exploded.

Looking to his class rep, not even Iida was able to outrun the mines. But as he observed everyone, he noticed one thing. The mines didn't activate instantly. There was about one second after someone stepped on one before an explosion occurred. 'But Iida can't even out race them. And with 5% of One for All, I'm about on par with him. So…there's only one thing to do…'

Izuku knew it was risky. He knew the only time he's tried it before he ended up breaking himself. But it was the only way. So long as he didn't go to far he should be fine right? It was like he and Jaune said in his speech. Time to go Plus Ultra.

"I don't know what you're thinking Izuku but if you got something up your sleeve now's the time to use it." Izuku's eyes widened as he looked next to him to see Jaune…digging up the ground with his shield. "We can't afford to hold back so just do it!"

"Jaune…" Izuku let out before looking at what the blond was doing. "Wait are you doing."

Jaune sighed as he kept digging up what was shown to be the mines. "Probably the stupidest thing I've ever done." Jaune told Izuku before pointing forward. "But you can't worry about me now. I got this and I plan to win! But whatever you gotta do, do it!"

Izuku wanted to say something, but simply took Jaune's words to hard as he looked forward. 'This is it. My only chance to win this first round! Come on body to fail me now…' Izuku told himself as he took a deep breath and let One for All spread through his body. 'Full Cowling…'

'EIGHT PERCENT!'

Amping it up a whole 3% past his usual 5% limit, Izuku quickly took off into the minefield as fast as he could. He almost resembled a green blur as he ran through the minefield…but his plan was working! The mines went off behind him went off but didn't cause him any sort of problems! He was out running the explosions!

'My body…it hurts…but only a little bit! I can handle this! I can win!' Izuku told himself as he kept his eyes forward and didn't slowly down for even a second.

And before anyone knew it, Izuku was quickly running past Ruby, Todoroki, and Bakugo.

'Midoriya!?' Ruby and Todoroki mentally screamed out as they saw the green blur past them while leaving behind a trail of exploding mines.

'DEKU?!' Bakugo raged as he saw Izuku actually pass him! No way was he letting that happened! "GET BACK YOU DAMN BASTARD!" Bakugo stopped fighting with Todoroki and Ruby and used his own explosions to boost himself forward.

"Ah screw it!" Ruby let out before activated her quirk and speeding through the mine field herself. "I won't lose this! Not even to you Midoriya!"

'This ice path will end up helping others…' Todoroki thought as he created a path of ice ahead of him so we can quickly run forward without having to worry about the mines. 'But I can't worry about them.'

"And just like that, my Izuku Midoriya ends up taking first place!" Port cheered loudly with the crowd in the stadium roaring in response to this drastic change in events. "And it looks like Bakugo, Rose, and Todoroki are in hot pursuit! This could anyone's game ladies and gentlemen!"

"Just look at him run through that minefield!" Oobleck cheered for his nephew with a big grin on his face. "He doesn't even care folks!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

"What the heck was that?!" Port yelled as suddenly a gigantic explosion was heard all the way at the start of the field.

"What explosion was far more then it should have been!" Oobleck said as all the screens in the arena focused in on the giant explosion. Suddenly everyone watched as something flew out of the explosion and headed forwards at extreme speeds. "I don't believe! Riding his trusty shield through the air is none other then Jaune Arc of 1-B!"

"IT WORKED!" Jaune cheered as the four in the lead looked to see Jaune quickly approaching them while riding through the air on his shield. Sure enough, the Arc boys crazy plan worked! By gathering up a bunch of mines, Jaune jumped on his shield while landing on the piles of mines he dug up and launched himself past the crowd and quickly aimed towards taking the lead.

When he hit the ground, similar to the start of the race, Jaune kept his feet firmly on the shield while keeping one foot on the shields booster button and proceeded to shield surf on the ground. Soon enough, Izuku, Ruby, Bakugo, Jaune, and Todoroki were all neck and neck as they left the minefield, the stadium in sight and the gate with the finish line right in front of him.

"Its gonna be a close one folks! Which one of these five outstanding students is going to take the gold in the first around?!" Both Port and Oobleck couldn't help but stand on their feet in excitement, the former having been the one to commentate, as all the screens in the arena changed to show the finish line.

Everyone in the stadium was on the edge of their seats. Who was gonna win? There were five students that looked like they could take it. It was nearly impossible to predict.

But then it happened.

After what felt like forever of waiting…the first student crossed the finish line and reentered the stadium…

"AND THE WINNER IS IZUKU MIDORIYA!"
