"I do. Hermione, I love you." Harry said, looking straight in my eyes.
I had waited years to hear him say that and now that he had… I was completely frozen. I couldn't believe it. The moment that I had been waiting for had finally happened and now I… I just didn't know what to do. I stood there, staring at him, mouth agape. A few seconds go by when Harry's face suddenly drops, his eyes go down and his shoulders slump. "I… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. I'll just... Ahh… Go…" he turned around and went to walk off.
Suddenly, I was pulled out of my stupor. I leaned forward and grabbed his arm, forcing him to turn around and face me. "Harry… I…" I didn't know what else to say. I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around his neck, standing on my tiptoes bringing our lips together, his arms came around my back and pulled me closer to him. Our lips connected and it was perfect. I always thought that our first kiss would sweep me off my feet and would leave me breathless, but this was full of passion and saying everything that I just couldn't get out. It was perfect.
Until we were interrupted "Potter? What the hell is going on? After years of tracking HER down, I find you with… Granger?"
3rd person POV
He opened the door to the rented apartment he shared with his partner and noticed all the lights off, "Oi! You home?" Where the hell is he? He wondered. His partner should be home at the moment, they agreed to stay close to the apartment and go looking for the magical signature together. But, knowing his partner, he went alone.
He went and looked through the rooms to make sure he was alone before making something for dinner and sitting in front of the TV to eat it. The TV was just one of many muggle inventions that he had grown to love and appreciate since entering their world. Definitely something that he would be looking at introducing to the magical world when he got back.
Knowing that his partner would crack it if he didn't check before he went to bed, he centred himself and took a calming breath. Once he was calm enough, he cast the spell and allowed his mind to start traveling outside his body, like it was a separate entity. He 'looked' around at all the magic that surrounded him before taking a breath and focusing only on the one that he wanted. Hers. He found it quicker than he normally did, it was brighter and thicker than normal. She had been using magic lately, more than normal. He followed that tendril out of the apartment and down to the bookshop, like always, but this time, there was more of a path to follow after this time. He grabbed hold and followed it, followed it all the way to another apartment building. He followed it up the stairs and into an apartment, an apartment that was saturated with her signature. He went into a room and saw something… familiar sitting behind a table. He went close and brushed against it making the person jump, which shouldn't happen. He made a note to investigate later. He went into a different room and it was everywhere, saturated every surface. He had finally found her. He had done it.
He came back to himself and stood there for a moment, waiting for it to actually sink in. He had done it. It had taken them over two and a half years, but he had finally done it.
And his damn partner wasn't here to see it.
He shook his head and grabbed his jacket. He made sure everything was locked before running down the stairs, two at a time. He ran out of the building and around the corner to the apparition point. He had to stop and catch his breath before he apparated. As he leant against the wall, catching his breath, he thought about contacting his partner, he was sure they had the right spot now, but he just didn't want to disappoint him, again.
He got his breath back and apparated, allowing his magic to pull him to that apartment building, trusting that that was where he would end up. He felt that pull and the constriction of his chest and then suddenly, he was there. He opened his eyes and saw that he was in an alleyway, must be the apparition point, he thought. He walked out of the alleyway and onto the street turning to the apartment building and walking up to it. He happened to catch movement out of the corner of his eye across the street but dismissed it for a second until he heard a noise. He looked over and saw two people kissing, he was about to turn away when he noticed something familiar about them. One of them was his partner. Are you kidding? After years of chasing her for him, the ass hole was kissing someone else.
