Kei-Kei Yuki: But its fun teasing them! Also, when I write Naruko and Hinata's friendship, I can't help but relate it to HomuMado and KianaMei. You won't understand this until I write Shippuden for (This Is Our World), but let's just say Hinata loves Naruko very much~!

The Last-Pt.1
Long ago in the heavens, there existed two gods: Amaterasu, the beautiful high goddess that ruled over the sun, and Tsukuyomi, god who ruled over the moon. Despite their forbidden love, Tsukuyomi could not destroy his love for Amaterasu, and Amaterasu could love no other than Tsukuyomi. Proof of their love was the vow they made to each other after their forbidden relationship was discovered and expelled them from the gods' heavenly realms.
Their souls joined together, pummeling towards the blue planet. "Our love is eternal. A love that will not vanquish. Though we may live separate lives, no matter how many reincarnations we will have to undergo, when the night is at its blackest, the sun and moon becoming one, our souls will reunite... and our love can finally be free." They forged this vow to each other before their souls were forced apart and thrown on either side of a lowly planet called Earth.
Throughout their reincarnations, a millennium had passed since Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu first fell. Amongst the thousands of individuals, they have been reborn as, only two pairs have caused significant effects upon this world. Hashirama and Madara, first god and goddess of the Shinobi era. Second, Uzumaki Naruko and Uchiha Sasuke, childhood rivals and saviors of the Fourth Shinobi War.
"Will this tragic love story of ours finally conclude, Tsukuyomi? Or shall we once again have to endure the heartbreak of separation?" Amaterasu sat on the branch of a blooming cherry blossom tree, forlorn blue eyes fell onto the red string tied around her pinky.
Two years had passed since the Fourth Shinobi War, and that fated battle between Naruko and Sasuke had finally come to an end. Over the years, the original Rookie Nine had developed into experienced shinobis, entering the adult stage of life. The famous Ino-Shika-Chou triad had stopped outside the academy gates, overlooking the young crowd of students.
Their innocent gazes held nothing but awe, pointed at the young woman lecturing their class for today. "Alright, today I will be teaching you a few taijutsu moves. So, please listen closely; if all of you succeed, I'll even-"
"Will you let us pet your tails?" randomly asked one young girl, leaving their instructor speechless and a bit sheepish as she scratched at her hair.
"S-Sure! I'll even allow you to pet my tails! So pay close attention!" ordered the woman, earning a bunch of joyful cheers from the students who were all adoring fans of hers.
"Maa, would you look at that! Naruko teaching a bunch of academy students." This sarcastic and somewhat playful reply came from none other than Ino. The Yamaka heiress had grown into quite a slender and tall beauty, voted within the top ten of Konohagakure's top beauties.
A hand rested at her hip, watching the blonde who no longer wore those loud tacky orange jumpsuits, but now days preferred a sleeveless black uniform jacket with a red obi tied around the waist, paired with fitted orange shorts. Covering her hands were black fingerless gloves; the prosthetic arm Sakura had given her was still covered in bandages. On her legs were thigh-high black socks, and black shinobi sandals covered her feet.
No longer did Naruko wear those childish pigtails but instead kept her hair short, and after two years, those wild locks were finally tamed and even. Those sunny blonde locks waved in the sunlight after Naruko performed a few straight punches followed with a roundhouse kick. The once tomboy with no manners and a flunky had shed the layers of her cocoon and blossomed into Konohagakure's very own cute sunflower.
Ino used the word cute because it was the best word to describe Naruko's current appearance. Now yes, Naruko at times could be as beautiful as golden yellow dahlias, or as lovely as lemon-colored orchids, and even as pretty as sunny calla lilies. But the word cute fitted Naruko most, especially when her short height is factored in.
Despite the girl being almost just as endowed as Hinata, sadly, Naruko was still the shortest amongst their group of friends. Something which Ino had fun teasing her about. Naruko's title as cutest girl in the village could also be attributed to her hanyou form which she obtained after merging with the Kyuubi.
"They're so soft!" Ino was distracted by the happy squeals of children and saw them gathered around Naruko, protruding from the woman lower back was nine fluffy yellow blonde tails which the children were petting, a pair of fox ears now sat on her head.
"Irony. Once upon a time, they cursed and called Naruko a demon. Now, after merging and, in a sense, becoming one, they fawn over her and call her an angel. Tch, troublesome people." Shikamaru's words may have sounded mocking, but they held the truth. Everyone once saw Naruko and the Kyuubi as one being, when in a sense, she was only its jailor. Two separate entities, but they still isolated her, but when she finally became the thing they feared, the people adored and worshipped the very ground she walked on.
"Ah, Ino had disappeared," said Chouji, munching on a bag of barbecue-flavored potato chips. Shikamaru moved his eyesight ahead of him and was met with the vacant spot where Ino once stood.
Naruko squinted down to her knees, allowing the children to play with her tails and even pet her ears, but reminded them to be careful. Just like other animals, Naruko's tails and ears could be very sensitive when not coated in chakra. Taking heed to her warnings, the children made sure to be careful. Feeling their fingers caress and play with her tails and ears prompted Naruko into a relaxed state. The blonde was about to let out a purr if a familiar chakra signature hadn't caused her eyes to snap open and look back.
"Ah, soft and relaxing! It feels as if my head is lying on a high-quality pillow made from silk~!" Gushing such words, holding the end of one of Naruko's nine tails, was Ino. Rubbing her face against the blonde's tail, she pouted when Naruko snatched it away from her.
"Ino, stop being creepy. It ruins your beautiful image." Even after befriending the blonde, Naruko still couldn't stop herself from teasing Ino.
"How dare you call me creepy, short-stack!" Ino and Naruko may have become friends, but they would always throw insults at each other.
"Hey, just who are you calling short-stack!?" The blondes bumped heads, glaring at each other—the crowd of young students forming a circle around them. From above, the academy windows crowded with boys, all whooping and hollering with big pink hearts for eyes.
"I can't believe two of Konoha's great beauties have blessed the academy with their appearance!" shouted one fanboy, hinting towards the arguing blonde duo below.
"Naruko-sama is even cute in fox form!"
"Ah, my sun goddess!"
"Ino-sama is as beautiful as always!
"If I remember correctly, concerning our village's top ten beauties, Ino-sama is ranked third, and Naruko-sama ranked as number one with second place going to-"
Before the boy could finish, the boys were shushed into silence when yet another beauty made her appearance. Blowing in the spring wind was long raven hair, which she gracefully tucked behind her ear. Her pale white eyes brightened upon spotting her best friend's lively figure and called out to her. "Naru-chan~!" The boys, bewitched by the young woman's curvaceous figure and gentle harmonic voice, were unable to contain themselves.
"Hinata-sama~!"
"Ranked second of Konoha's top ten beauties and Princess of the Hyuuga Clan, the great Hinata-sama has made her appearance!"
"Seeing Hinata-sama and Naruko-sama together always brings meaning to my life!" dramatically cried one boy, hands clasped together as if the gods had just delivered his wishes.
Naruko put her friendly banter with Ino on hold, turning around to spot Hinata in the area waving at her. "Hina-chan~!" Without a second, Naruko ditched Ino and raced over to Hinata, engulfing the Hyuuga Princess in a tight hug.
"Ready for our date, Hina-chan?" Naruko was naturally loud, so of course, her words drew much attention, especially from the boys above who started to get on their female classmates' nerves with their perverted trains of thoughts towards their idols.
"Wait! Naruko, did you say, date?!" Naruko's words had also caught Ino by surprise. Even though everyone in their little group was aware of Hinata's feelings towards Naruko, that went beyond friendship, Ino recalled that they had already cleared the feelings between them, which ended with Naruko rejecting Hinata and seeing her only as her best friend.
It was a very messy drama related affair concerning Sasuke as usual, but it ended on a good note between the two friends and if anything, made their bond stronger. "It's another word we use for our NaruHina bonding! Today, Hinata promised to help me search for the perfect wedding present for Ruka-nee and Kakashi-sensei wedding that is coming up in a few days," explained Naruko, happy that her mother/sister-figure was finally about to tie the knot with the man she loved and made her happy.
"On, in that case, have fun, you two! Don't forget; we girls are meeting up later at the new seafood restaurant that just opened!" Ino called out to them as Naruko hooked arms with Hinata and left, but not before promising their attendance.
