I Didn't Have A Choice-Ch 22
About an hour later Penelope and Derek were climbing into the SUV that Derek and Hotch had driven from the airstrip the day before, Derek sighed happily as he gently wrapped his arm around his beautiful soon-to-be wife. Penelope looked him up in the face and said, :"I've missed this, I've missed being in your arms"
Derek kissed her lips and said, "well you won't have to miss me anymore, well that is unless I'm away on a case but other than that in your arms is where I plan to be". She smiled and said, "that's music to my ears sugar" as she kissed his lips gently and then returned her head to his shoulder.
Hotch said, "I bet you're glad to be out of that hospital", Penelope said, "ohhhh yes bossman, so so glad", Derek said, "so what did you think of Millies last night Hotch"?, Hotch looked at him through the mirror and said, "it's a very nice place, we all liked it and to tell you the truth I haven't slept that good in a long time".
Penelope said, "I think it has something to do with the fresh air", Emily laughed and said, "if Reid were in here he would be telling us statistics on clean air" causing everybody in the SUV to laugh. Hotch said, "this is a beautiful town", Penelope nodded her head and said, "it really is, I love it here, it's so peaceful".
Emily said, "and with our job a little peace is nice", Penelope said, "very much so Em, very much so" as they continued up the street that led to Penelopes place. As Hotch pulled up in front he said, "this is a nice big yard, it will be nice for the kids to play in", Derek said, "it sure will, I can just see all of our kids running around in the yard playing in the summer time".
Penelope said, "the back yard has a beautiful big tree that would be perfect for a tree house", Derek said, "ohhhh it would would it"?, she giggled and kissed his lips and said, "it sure would hotstuff". Hotch parked the SUV and said, "alright let's get inside and see if Fran and the others are here".
Derek slid out slowly and then held out his hand to his baby girl, she slipped her hand in his and smiled as she too climbed out of the SUV and was standing there looking at the front of their house. Emily said, "I hear Jack", Hotch laughed and said, "and that sounds like Henry" as he intertwined fingers with Emily and they made their way up the path that led to the front porch.
Penelope said, "now take these steps easy handsome", Derek said, "sweetness, I'm fine, it was merely a graze", he held up his shirt and said, "see, I'm fine". She kissed his lips and said, "ohhhhh you sure are", he said, "down woman, we do have visitors and children here right now".
She winked at him and said, "that we do but later all bets are off", he grinned and said, "I was counting on that", he then looped his arm around her waist as they headed inside. Henry and Jack ran over to her and gently hugged her, she said, "there are my two Godsons", they looked up at her and grinned.
Jessica walked over and said, "Penelope this is my son Henry", Penelope said, "it's nice to meet you Henry", he smiled and laid his head down on his moms shoulder. Fran walked into the room and said, "there are my babies" as she gently hugged first her son and then Penelope before standing back to look at them.
Derek said, "I'm fine ma, really", she then looked at Penelope and said, "and how about you and my grandbaby"?, Penelope said, "we are both fine, we got a clean bill of health". Fran said, "this place is beautiful honey", Penelope said, "thanks, it will look even better when I get more furn" and then she looked around nd said, "wowwwww, where did all of this furniture come from"?, Hotch said, "ohhhh that, well we all thought that since you decided to keep this place that we would help you decorate it".
As she slowly looked around she said, "awwww guys, thank you, this means so much to me", Reid walked into the room and said, "why don't you check the rest of the house out". Penelope hugged him and then intertwined fingers with Derek as they went exploring the house and all of the beautiful furniture their family had gotten them.
Room by room they explored and each room was more beautiful than the one before, she couldn't help but smile as she looked at all of the beautiful furniture. Derek said, "everything looks amazing", she nodded her head and then wiped away the happy tears that were streaming down her cheeks.
Derek led her back downstairs where she hugged each and every one of her friends and thanked them wholeheartedly for the wonderful furniture they had gotten and unloaded for her. JJ hugged Penelope and said, "I hope your hungry becuaseeee" and she led Penelope to the backyard.
Penelope gasped in surprise when she saw all of her friends gathered around the picnic tables, Sarah and Desi yelled, "surpriseeeeeee" and Penelope smiled and knew that she without a doubt that the best family anybody could ever ask for.
