Last time, on the Life of Hunters:
"Korosensei, might've died, but his legacy lives on through you kids. So, by killing you, I can kill him, once, and for all." Yanagisawa sneered down at them. Rinka prepared her rifle.
"Well, this is a plot twist." she sweated.
Now, what will happen? Will the group find Aguri Yukimura? Will the group and friends survive the tournament? Let's see.

"Well, this is a plot twist." Rinka sweated.
"You said it." Red Eye commented. He readied his rifle and aimed. The other bounty hunters quickly opened fire, a hail of bullets raining down with them. John quickly called out Rock and Creed and impaled the ground beneath them. They quickly ripped up the ground, creating shields that the group hid behind.
"This won't hold for long." John warned.
"Then we'll make it quick." Karma said. "As long as they're up on that ledge, we're at a disadvantage. We have to even our odds."
"How?" Red Eye grunted as he pulled back under cover. He tried to take another shot, but there were too many bullets. Karma thought for a second before turning to John.
"Think you can buy us sometime?"
"Of course." John said. He rolled out, ripping up another chunk from the ground and hurling it at the people up at the ledge. They scattered, giving John time to slam his tentacles against the ground, sending him flying up. He landed on the ledge, using his tentacles to knock off the bounty hunters and block incoming bullets.
"What the hell is that guy?" one of the hunters growled as he stood up. He was knocked out by a vicious kick by Karma.
"The odds are even now! Let's do this!" he yelled. The other assassins quickly took their positions and began fighting. Rinka grunted as she rolled about, dodging bullets. She fired back with her own, her targets yelling as they were shot. She was forced to hide back behind the makeshift shields as they fired back.
Chaos erupted. Yoshida and Muramatsu ran forward. They tackled a few people and pushed them back.
"Here we go!" Red Eye popped out from behind the shield. He fired at their opponents, disarming them. His eyes widened when he saw their wounds healing.
"These SOBs got some sort of healing factor!" he groaned as he ducked back under.
"Ha ha! Now that just means this is a real fight, hm!" Grip said as he grabbed a man by the arm. He crushed his bones, causing him to scream in pain. Gastro licked his revolver before firing at several opponents. Hazama smiled wickedly as she crawled around, freaking out her targets.
"This is going to be fun!" she cackled. She pulled out a SMG and fired wildly. The bounty hunters fired back as they tried to dodge, forcing Hazama to roll around. Terasaka fell on top of them, swinging his thick arms, slamming and throwing them around.
"Take this you bastards!" he roared. He hurled them away, only for the targets to get up and fire back, forcing him to run.
"Terasaka! Be careful!" John yelled. He turned to Yanagisawa who was watching this with a scowl.
"John Bertrand." he growled.
"So you know me."
"Indeed. It would seem that my experiments carry into even other timelines." Yanagisawa said. John looked at him in surprise.
"What? How do you know about that?"
"I know everything about the HC. The Portal Gun, the headquarters, even your pregnant wife." Yanagisawa sneered. John growled as he lowered himself into a stance.
"Stay away from her." he snarled. "How could you even know about all this anyways?"
"Who do you think informed the Virtuous about the HC? I've had drones spy on the group ever since the Assassination Classroom had graduated. My revenge would not be denied." Yanagisawa growled. John readied his tentacles.
"I assume that you experimented on this world's version of me."
"Why yes I did."
"Well then, I almost feel guilty. Cause he won't know the pleasure of killing you like I did." John grinned. Yanagisawa looked at him in surprise.
"Did?"
"Oh yeah, you're dead in my timeline. Korosensei is alive, Ms Yukimura is alive, you're dead, I killed you, total victory. Of course, you should've known that, considering you know everything." John shrugged.
"Oh I know what happened. I also knew that you would know where my weapon vault would be." Yanagisawa grinned wickedly. "Too bad. Your little friend will be so disappointed."
"Why is that?"
"Never mind. You won't be alive to find out." Yanagisawa leapt up and slammed a knee on the ground below. Everyone's eyes widened as they saw the ground shatter, causing everyone to fall into a room underneath. The room's floor was filled with holes, separating into tunnels. Each member fell into the tunnels, separating. Rinka landed on the ground, rolling as she did. She got up and held her rifle at the ready.
"Pretty girl?" Vizio asked as she walked up to the sniper. She had her rifle at the ready as well.
"Hayami!" John said as he landed next to her. "You good?"
"Yeah. This is Vizio. She's my, uh, rival?" she looked at Vizio.
"Rival." Vizio nodded.
"She's my rival."
"Huh. I thought since Chiba is the main character of this story, he would get a rival first." John scratched his head.
"What?" Vizio looked at John in confusion.
"Just ignore him." Rinka assured.
"You shouldn't ignore us." a voice growled. Rinka and John quickly fell into a stance, but Vizio stiffened. Yanagisawa was in the same room as them, and there were at least three other bounty hunters.
"Now, where were we John?" Yanagisawa grinned as he stepped forward. He took out a syringe and stuck it into his neck. His veins began to bulge, and swell. His muscles became larger, and thicker.
"Ah yes. I believe the term is, 'kicking your ass'." Yanagisawa cackled. He disappeared, but reappeared, slamming a fist into Rinka's side. She choked on her spit as she slammed against the wall, gasping for air as she clutched her side.
"Now you've done it!" John growled. His tentacles shot forward, only for Yanagisawa to dodge and run towards the young adult. They rammed into each other, creating a small shockwave, sending the rest of the group back. Vizio ran towards Rinka, grabbing her and running into a nearby tunnel. The other three bounty hunters gave chase. Yanagisawa looked where they went.
"Hayami Rinka. She's an actual member of the Assassination Classroom. She's an actual target, unlike you, child." Yanagisawa said as he rushed to the doorway. John quickly intercepted him.
"Sorry man, you're not killing one of my friends today." John said.
"And what someone else did the killing?" Yanagisawa said as he pulled out a remote and pushed a button.
-back with Kayano and her group-
"Come on! We have to hurry!" Kayano said as sounds of fighting reached the two running girls.
"How much farther does this thing go?" Yada grunted. Her answer came in the form of an open door. They burst in, agents following behind. Kayano gaped at the sight of many tanks, and pods. They looked like status pods that one would see in video games and movies.
"Oh my god, Kayano! Look at this." Yada gasped. The greenette jogged over. She looked inside the pod before gasping herself. It was John, but younger, and a little more sickly. He was shirtless, with a scrawny body. A complete opposite from what the John they knew was. Gunfire caught the attention of everyone in the room.
"Look for your sister. We'll go check out the status of your teammate." one of the agents said. She led the other two agents back to where Nagisa had locked in combat with Tetsunori. Kayano quickly began searching the other pods, despair filling her heart with each one. Some were empty, some were not. But the one thing they had in common...
"Oh, Kayano." Yada said sadly, pulling the smaller girl into a hug. Not a single pod had Ms Yukimura inside. Kayano began to cry softly, falling to her knees. She knew that it was a stretch, but she had dared to hope. Hope that the person she loved most would be alive. She cried for a minute, perking up when she heard not just gunfire, but screams of pain. She wiped her tears.
"We have to help." Kayano said. Yada nodded. They went to the entrance of the room, but Kayano stopped. She looked to the side, eyes widening as they saw something. It was a monitor. And on it, was-
"Kayano!" Yada called. Kayano looked at the girl next to her. She followed her eyes and saw the pods beginning to open. There were about twelve of them, and seven people walked out of them, John included.
"I don't suppose this is where we get seven people to help us fight, is it?" Yada asked. Tentacles popped out of the people's bodies and they began stalking forward.
"Nope." Kayano said as she pulled out anti-sensei knives. Yada also pulled out her knives, holding them at the ready. The tentacle beings attacked them, but Kayano quickly ran forward and began blocking the tentacles with her knives. They burst into goo, splattering everywhere. Kayano went forward and grabbed one of them by the neck, causing them to screech in pain and faint.
"Whoa! What was that?" Yada asked, shocked.
"Just a little pressure point I learned about by NagisaaAAHHH!" Kayano screamed as she was grabbed by a tentacle and thrown onto a pod.
"You okay?" Yada asked. She ducked under another tentacle and slashed back with her own knife.
"Yeah. How can we beat these tentacles?" Kayano grunted. She ran around the tentacles, coming to a stop next to Yada.
"Let's try this." Kayano ran forward and flipped over a tentacle. She gasped as Yada grabbed her by the ankles and pulled her down to the ground. The greenette looked at the taller girl in anger.
"What the heck?!"
"Sorry, just didn't want a repeat of what happened last time you did something like that." Yada apologized. Kayano fell silent before looking at the tentacle beings.
"They're strong, and fast. But not as fast as Korosensei or the fake Reaper. We can do this." she said determinedly.
-With Ryu-
'Well, this went to shit.' Ryu thought painfully as he fell down. When he and his allies arrived at the fight between Nagisa and Tetsunori, he had tried to take a good sniping position while Isogai and Maehara tended to the knocked out agents. Their agents were also providing support, but their guns weren't strong enough. When Ryu shot Tetsunori, his sniper rifle was able to affect the suit, but it only resulted in Tetsunori pointing an energy cannon of all things and destroying the catwalk Ryu was on. He grunted in pain as he landed on a table, sending vials flying all over the place to shatter on the ground.
"Well, that hurt." Ryu said as he stood up. He gasped and darted to the side, dodging another energy blast. He grabbed for his fallen rifle, but grunted as Nagisa was thrown into him. The tealnette had tried to stab Tetsunori and incapacitate him, but the katanas became stuck in the suit. The same katanas that Tetsunori shattered with a chop of the hand. The shards were stuck in the suit, and the remains of the katanas were stabbed into a leg, preventing Tetsunori from moving as easily. That was the only good thing they had going for them right now though.
"Got a plan?" he asked Nagisa who pulled out knives.
"Stall. A suit like that, there's no way it doesn't have some sort of battery. Either find the battery or find the limit." Nagisa said.
"That's, sort of a plan." Ryu said. He grabbed one of the agents' dropped SMGs. The two split up, running to the sides. Ryu sprayed their enemy with a hail of bullets, making him grunt in annoyance. Nagisa charged and landed another two foot kick, sending him stumbling forward. With another swing of his arm, he sent them flying. Ryu dropped the SMG he had as he bounced off the ground. Groaning, he took out Requiem. Tetsunori made a sound of surprise.
"You have the Requiem?!"
"Yeah. And, if I press this button," Ryu pressed a button on the Requiem. It shifted, becoming a new gun. It looked like a minigun, except it only had one barrel, rather than six. Tetsunori made a funny sound.
"That's the Tachyon Atom Cannon!"
'Wow. Lucky.' Ryu thought to himself. He was planning on the rifle, but this works too.
"Give up. Or I'll use it." Ryu threatened. His hands were shaking though. Tetsunori laughed.
"Please, you don't have the guts. Look at you! Shaking in your boots." Tetsunori said. Ryu's eyes narrowed.
"Try me." he said. He pulled the trigger, making sure to aim carefully at Tetsunori. A beat past, but nothing happened.
"What? Is it a dud?" Ryu lifted Requiem to look at it better, trying to find something wrong. Big mistake.
"Look out!" Nagisa screamed. Tetsunori fell onto the distracted Ryu, body slamming him to the ground and knocking Requiem away.
"Idiot. The Tachyon Atom Cannon only works with antimatter fuel. Last I checked, you don't have antimatter at hand." Tetsunori taunted. He grabbed Ryu by the throat and threw him to the other side of the room. Ryu grunted as he slammed against the wall. Ryu tried to stand as Tetsunori picked something up.
"Catch!" Tetsunori sang as he hurled it at Ryu. The sniper looked up, only to slam against the wall as pain erupted in his chest.
'Hurts, it hurts.' he groaned in his head. He tried to straighten himself, but something kept him from doing so. He tried to fall, but didn't so much as slip. He tried to breathe, but pain flared with each attempt. He looked at Nagisa, who had begun to attack Tetsunori. His head was filled with a fog, so he couldn't hear anything. Maehara and Isogai joined in, leaving the fallen agents on the ground. The three were attacking relentlessly, seeming to scream curses and profanities at the criminal. The agents that had not fallen were taking potshots, shooting him when he could. Ryu tried to talk, but only coughed up a liquid.
'why...can't...I..." Ryu looked down. A metal pole, the leg of a tripod he realized, was protruding from his chest, just above his heart.
'Oh. That's why.' Ryu thought as everything began to fade.
-With Rinka-
Rinka gasped as something pounded in her chest. For some reason, she felt as though she would cry.
"What is it? Why did you stop?" Vizio asked as she looked at the sniper she was leading.
"I, I don't know. I just like, like something terrible had happened." Rinka murmured. Vizio grabbed Rinka by the hand.
"Something terrible will happen if we don't keep moving! Those three, they're masters at fighting up close. We're snipers, we can't fight at that range. Hurry!" Vizio urged. Rinka swallowed, but nodded. The two continued to hurry down the tunnel, the sound of the bounty hunters behind them getting closer. Rinka growled and stopped, pulling her hand out of Vizio. Her rival looked back at Rinka.
"What are you doing?!"
"For some reason, I don't care anymore. I'm not planning on running anymore. You can go on ahead. I'll stand my ground." Rinka said as she turned around.
"You'll die!"
"They're not even close to the strongest people I fought." Rinka retorted. Vizio groaned in frustration.
"Fine. I'm out." Vizio hissed as she ran away. Rinka held her rifle at the ready. She was in a room that was square in shape.
There were four openings where the tunnels met. She pressed her back against the wall opposite to where she had left. Rinka took a small breath as she aimed her rifle. When she saw the first hunter she quickly fired. The bounty hunter fell to the floor, but the other two dodged the next shot. Rinka threw her rifle to the side and grabbed a vial. She threw it to the ground, creating a loud bang. The second hunter slammed against the tunnel's frame with a crack. The third flew at Rinka, slamming a foot into her gut. She fell to the ground before lashing back with her own kick. She quickly sprung to her feet before taking out a pistol. The other hunter kicked it out of her hand and punched her. Rinka swung back with her own punch, only to get blocked.
"Give it up kid. You're going to die, might as well make it fast." the hunter taunted. Rinka slammed a punch into his face, breaking his nose.
"If I'm going to die, I'm bringing you down with me." she said as she kicked him in the hip. She turned and roundhoused him in the face, sending him stumbling back. They traded blows, blocking and hitting as they did. Rinka groaned in pain as she slammed against the floor, having taken a heavy hit. She pressed her forehead against the ground, seemingly trying to push herself up. She looked back at the hunter from the corner of her eye, causing him to scoff.
"Not bad, but 'oo still 'ot a long 'ay to go!" the hunter said. He pulled out a knife and raised it up. Rinka quickly rolled over and clapped. The hunter jerked back, dropping his knife. Rinka scrambled to her feet and leapt at him. She swung around his neck and locked him in a chokehold from behind. They slammed into the ground causing Rinka to grunt as air left her lungs. She held on as the hunter roared and thrashed around. He rolled onto his chest, pushing himself up and slamming her into the wall. He slammed her again and again, until she finally let go. She fell to the ground, but kicked as hard as she could, sending him stumbling forward.
"CHEESEBURGER!" Terasaka roared as he flew at the hunter out of nowhere, ramming him into the wall above Rinka with a loud crunch. The hunter fell to the ground with a slight whimper. Rinka scrambled out of the way, holding her ribs. They weren't broken, but she was hurt. Didn't stop her from shooting Terasaka a look.
"Cheeseburger?"
"What? I needed a battle cry, and I'm hungry. It was the first thing that popped into my head." Terasaka grumbled, blushing slightly.. He helped her up. "You good?"
"Yeah. Help me back down that tunnel. We need to help John." Rinka muttered as she reached for her rifle and pistol. "How did you find me?"
"How am I the first one to find you? You used one of Okuda's Knockback Crackers, those things sound like an explosion." Terasaka replied as he helped her down the tunnel. Soon, the sound of fighting got their attention.
-With Kayano-
"You seriously just did that." Kayano deadpanned. Toka smiled sheepishly back at her.
"What can I say? It worked, didn't it?" Toka shrugged. The tentacle beings may have been acting like mindless drones, but they were still human. When Yada remembered this, she also remembered how the antimatter serums had made Korosensei more susceptible to his hormones. So, with that in mind, she targeted John, and-
"You really knocked them all out with a kiss." Kayano shook her head. Even the females were knocked out from the steamy kiss that Yada had given John. This normally wouldn't have worked, but the tentacle users were still only teenagers, probably still going through puberty. The already high amounts of hormones were supercharged by the serum, knocking them out when Yada kissed John.
"It worked on you with Nagisa, why wouldn't it work with me?" Yada shrugged. Kayano looked at Yada incredulously.
"I had a massive crush on him when he kissed me! This John just met you!" Yada frowned at this.
"Huh. How did I knock him out?" she wondered.
'For it to have worked that well, John must already feel some sort of physical attraction. But why would he…' Kayano looked at Yada. Specifically, her massive chest. The taller girl was oblivious as the greenette pouted to the side. She shook her head to clear it.
"Yada, look at this." Kayano said. The two walked over to the monitor that Kayano had spotted. They looked over the content, before looking up as a yell of anger came from where Nagisa was.
"What do you think that was?" she asked.
"I'll check it out. You see if this is legit." Yada said as she pulled out her pistol. She ran back up the hall as Kayano jogged over to the other side of the room. Seeing a keypad, she punched in the code she saw on the monitor. When the wall opened to reveal another hall, she quickly ran down it, eventually coming to another room. She opened the door, stopping as the person inside cowered in the other end.
"Please, I'm almost done! I just need a little more time, please!" the person wailed. Kayano froze, before walking forward. She stood in front of the shivering person, before tearing up. She pulled the person into a hug. Aguri Yukimura looked down at her little sister in shock.
"You, you have green hair. But, it's you. Akari?" she whispered. Akari looked up at her sister and nodded, her eyes filled with tears.
"Big sister." she whispered. Aguri gasped, before hugging Akari back. They embraced each other, before Akari's earpiece crackled to life.
"Kayano! Nagisa and Chiba are hurt!" Yada said panickly, followed by the sound of gunfire.
-With Nagisa a little bit ago-
"Bastard!" Nagisa roared as Tetsunori threw Maehara and Isogai off. He charged forward, slashing with his knife. As Tetsunori tried to hammer Nagisa down, he dodged, sending a kick to his head. Tetsunori caught the kick, and with his hand, crushed Nagisa's foot. Literally. Nagisa howled in pain as the bones in his foot shattered. Tetsunori threw Nagisa to the ground. Nagisa painfully got to his feet, leaning on one foot. The other felt like a thousand nails was crammed into one puncture.
"Oh man, looks like someone is going to have to remove that." Tetsunori grinned as he leaned over to the assassin. Nagisa tried to stab him, but the knife was caught. Tetsunori yanked out one of the katana shards and stabbed Nagisa. He gasped in pain. From the corner of his eye, he saw Yada run in.
"You put up a good fight, I can see how you took down my cousin." Tetsunori admitted.
-With John around the same time-
John grunted as he was thrown back into the room they fell out of. Yanagisawa leapt after him. They charged at each other, with Yanagisawa punching John back. When the mad scientist saw that John was equal to him, he injected another serum, doubling his strength. John's skill was able to keep up with the scientist, but he could only hold his own for so long.
"I may not have tentacles, but I am clearly the superior! You will die!" Yanagisawa cackled gleefully as he attacked John again. A storm of fists rained down onto John.
"I'll admit! The Yanagisawa in my world didn't put up nearly as much of a fight as you do! But I'm not going to lose!" John yelled. Despite that, he was beginning to feel nervous. Rock and Creed were doing all they could, but they could only do so much.
"John! We have to use that thing!" Rock yelled.
'But if I do, there's a chance I'll lose you two!'
"We don't have a choice! It's all or nothing!" Creed yelled back.
"It'll be fine. Trust us. Trust yourself. Trust Okuda!" Rock urged.
-Back with Nagisa-
"Get away from him!" Yada yelled as she fired her pistol. Tetsunori looked at her unimpressed. He made his way towards her, only for Nagisa to leap onto his back. He grabbed the tealnette and threw him back. Nagisa painfully skidded across the floor, leaving a slight trail.
"Still fighting? Hats off to you, you stubborn bastard." Tetsunori said as he walked over to Nagisa, ignoring the gunfire. Isogai and Maehara both groaned as they tried to get up.
"My father loves me, I'll have you know." Nagisa groaned. He couldn't move, the battle having taken a large toll on him. "And my parents were married when they had me."
"A smartass huh? Well," Tetsunori was interrupted by a kick from behind. Kayano flipped over him, her hair down.
"You're not the only one with tentacles you know." she said.
"Tentacles?" Nagisa gasped.
"How did you know?" Tetsunori looked down at the little girl.
"I had tentacles once too. I can recognize them anywhere. Those cables on your suit, they're not cables. They're tentacles." Kayano said, exposing Tetsunori's secret. "Your suit uses them for fuel. Doesn't it?"
"Well done." Tetsunori clapped sarcastically. "But you said you used to have tentacles. That means you don't anymore. You really think you can go up against me like this?"
"No, not really. It was a lie when I said that you're not the only one with tentacles." Kayano admitted. She grinned. "Not for long though."
-Back with John-
"Okay then. Here goes nothing." John said. He timed his next attack, slamming Rock and Creed into Yanagisawa's chest as hard as he could, sending him flying back into the wall and pinning him there. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his own syringe.
"NOOO!" Yanagisawa roared.
"Here we go!" John said as he injected himself.
-Back with Kayano-
"The hell do you mean by that?"
"Three, two, one." Kayano smiled. Suddenly, tentacles flew towards Tetsunori, slamming him into the wall. He shook his head and looked up. Aguri rolled away from the tentacle being, syringe in hand.
-With John-
"Grr!" John gritted his teeth as Rock and Creed retracted back into his body. His body swelled slightly as he became taller, and more muscular.
-With Aguri-
The man in front of her pushed off the wall, an unusual, wicked smile on his face. He looked evil, and insane, but at the same time, loyal, and protective. Ryu looked up towards Tetsunori.
-John and Ryu simultaneously-
"Round two."
Oh sheet, here we go! Ryu now has tentacles, Aguri is alive, John has a power boost, Terasaka is hungry! How will this end? As per the usual, leave a review! Azure out!
