(Note from writer: I'd like to call this beautiful fusion, hmmm…. Stepper!)
When the light disappeared, it revealed a new person. A fusion. Mabel gasped at the fusion. They opened their eyes. "Wait where are-why does my voice sound…" The fusion looked at Mabel. Mabel's eyes were wide with shock. "Mabel, why are you looking at me like that?" The fusion asked. "Who are you? Where's Steven and Dipper?" Mabel asked, still very confused. "Mabel, I'm right here-WAIT A MINUTE!" they said, cutting themselves off. "We fused!" the fusion said excitedly. "You wha?!" Mabel said, just as excited as the fusion. "N-no we didn't!" they said, their mood changing instantly.
"Put two and two together. We have my gem and we have 4 arms." the fusion said to himself. "Wait, we have four arms?!" they said. "Yeah! You do!" Mabel said. The fusion looks down. "Oh god. I have four arms." they said. "Dipper! This is so cool! Or, I guess you really aren't Dipper… we should give you a name." Mabel said. "Hmm, how about, Stepper!" Mabel exclaimed. Stepper looked at Mabel, dumbfounded. "Mabel, you realize that's just both of our names together?" Stepper asked. "Yeah! Just like Stevonnie!" Mabel said, as her eyes lit up with stars. "I think it works." Stepper said. "Ugh…" Stepper groaned, rolling his eyes. "Why or how did this happen?" Stepper asked himself. "Well, when we were dancing, my gem activated the fusion… and now here we are." they said. "Come on! Look at you two!" Mabel said, dragging the fusion to a mirror.
The fusion was wearing Dipper's hat and had Dipper's vest over Steven's black star shirt. He also had Steven's jeans and Dipper's shoes. Stepper looked a little closer. On his hat alongside the pine tree were two stars. "Well, that's new." Stepper said. He lifted up the cap, revealing a bit of Dipper's birthmark. "What's that?" the fusion asked. He slapped his hand away with his lower set of arms. "Don't." Stepper said sternly. "Come on! You're not gonna show him your birthmar-" Mabel said, before Stepper put his hand on Mabel's mouth. Stepper takes his hand away. "Ew, did you just lick me?" Stepper asked, wiping his hand on his jeans. "What birthmark? I wanna see!" he said. Stepper sighs as he takes off his hat and lifts up a tuft of his hair. He looks at it. "Oh! The Big Dipper! That's why we call you Dipper!" Stepper says. "Well that's not his real name. His real name's Mas-" Mabel said, until Stepper interrupted her. "Mabel." Stepper said, giving her a cold glare. Mabel gave him a teasing look. "Can we unfuse now?" Stepper asked. "Not yet! We haven't given Stepper a good run!" the fusion said. "Oh fine. But I won't like it." Stepper said, crossing his top set of arms. "Come on! Let's go!" Mabel said, pulling on one of the fusion's arms. "Woah! Where are we going?" Stepper asked. "To explore!" Mabel said. When they snuck around the back of the mystery shack, Stepper bumped into a certain someone.
"Oof!" Stepper said as he bumped into Wendy. "Woah, are you ok?" Wendy asked, holding up her hand. Stepper started to blush. (Just wanna let you guys know, this next part is
Dipper's side of the fusion.) "Oh! Er-yeah! I'm fine." Stepper said, grabbing Wendy's hand. When he got off the ground, Wendy and the fusion locked eyes and stared at each other awkwardly. "So… I'm Wendy." she said. "I'm uh, just say Stepper. Just say Stepper." he whispered to himself. "Um. Are you ok?" Wendy asked. Of course, Mabel was around the corner, watching the whole thing. "Yeah! Yeah. I'm Stepper." the fusion said, hold out of his hands for her to shake. When she looked down, she saw Steven's gem and Dipper's hat. "Steven?" Wendy asked. "Yeah, Wendy?" Steven's side of the fusion asked. "Dipper?" she asked. "Sigh. Yeah?" Dipper's side of the fusion said. "Woah. Is this some weird gem thing I don't know about?" Wendy asked. Stepper nods his head. "Come on! Lay it on me." Wendy said. "You want to explain? No, I'll explain. Ok, go ahead." Stepper said, basically having a conversation with himself. "So… it's called fusion. It's when two or more gems combine to form another gem." Stepper explains, a bit nervous. "But since I'm half human, I'm able to fuse with any regular person," he adds. "But we accidentally fused, as in me and Steven, and now we're here." the fusion explained. "Wow! Uh, that's really cool guys!" Wendy said. "Does Mabel know about this?" she asked.
Mabel comes out of the corner. "Yeah she knows." Stepper said. She was laughing at Stepper's reaction to Wendy. "Nice first impression." Mabel snickered. "You were watching us?!" Stepper asked. "Pfft, yeah. I was the one who brought you here. Why wouldn't I be watching?" Mabel said teasingly. Stepper rolls his eyes. "Anyway, Mabel said she was gonna take us or-me? Somewhere. We should get going." Stepper said. "Well alright. Bye Stepper! Bye Mabel!" Wendy said. "Bye Wendy." the fusion said. "Bye Wendy!" Mabel said. Once she was away, Stepper asked, "Why were you acting so weird around her?" "Didn't you hear? Dipper used to have a big fat crush on her." Mabel said. "MABEL!" Stepper blushed. "What? It's true." Mabel said. "Where are you taking us?" the fusion asked. "Who knows?" Mabel says. When the fusion took a step in the woods, he heard a familiar laugh. He looked back. "Are you ok?" he asked himself. "Yeah, I'm ok." he replied. "Come on Stepper!" Mabel sang. "Alright, I'm coming!" Stepper said, trying to catch up.
"Hold on! We're almost there!" Mabel said. They had been walking for about 20 minutes. "I feel like it's been hours! How long have we been fused?" Stepper asked. "Only for about 2 hours." he said. "You're still complaining Dipstick? Hasn't it been nice?" Mabel asked. "I guess." he says. Stepper hears that same laugh he heard earlier. He turns around. He can still hear it. "Stepper? Are you ok?" Mabel asks. The laugh is ringing in his ear. He finally realizes who's laughing it is. Bill. "No. No. No." he says, tugging on his hair. "Stepper!" Mabel exclaims. Stepper breathes heavily, it seems he almost can't breathe. Bill's eye's appear all around him. "Dipper! You're hallucinating! It's ok!" he says to himself. "NO! It's not ok!" Stepper exclaims. "You're right! Dipper! It's not real!" Mabel says. "STOP!" he exclaims. Stepper's gem starts to glow as light forms around him. Steven and Dipper unfuse.
Note from writer: It's getting real spicy up in here. (That sounded better in my head.) This will be split up into a 3rd part. If you guys wanted to know, Stepper's hallucinations will be a BIG plot in a future chapter. Also, stay tuned for part 3!
