I saw the deckerstar morning after and I just couldn't take it, it was so carefree and happy. Klaroline deserves that too. This is for mature audiences, my loves.

The sound of her murmuring to herself in her sleep was what first awoke him. He wouldn't hear a heartbeat, and breathing was subconscious but she'd still have to be aware enough to do it. When the sunlight pierced his barely open eye, he smiled. They'd slept what remaining hours they hadn't used away. It was a new day, and he was starting it with her for the first time ever; like he'd wanted to for years.

He propped himself up on an elbow and watched her continue to murmur to herself. Her beautiful golden hair was framed around her, which made his fingers itch to both touch and capture the exact place before she stirred in any way. But no. If he moved away to draw her, she'd move. It wouldn't be the same as it was. He couldn't miss a single second, and again he thanks his lucky stars he didn't have to blink.

Before she'd fallen asleep the last time, she must've donned a bra, as her bare breasts would've been bathed in sunlight and then he would have to have sketched her. The pillows around them were propped up behind her head enough that she looked regal and comfortable, as if she'd chosen that spot to sleep in.

A sigh. A moan. And then Klaus watched a flicker of a dust mite float in the light, drift its way to her face and get sucked in when she moaned next. Damn.

But.

She coughed slightly and her eyes opened a tiny bit. Caroline must not've remembered where she was suddenly, because she took in every detail of her room before her eyes landed on him. He smiled and she bit her lip.

"Good morning, Caroline." He drew out the sound of her name on purpose, as he'd wanted to every moment he'd thought of her. And unbeknownst to him, she loved it. To her, it sounded like several lines of poetry. One long name. Her name. Turned into something so beautiful.

"Morning, heh" She smiled back at him and bit her lip again. Before she could fully wake up and start the battles again, she hooked his ear with her hand and pulled him in, fully inhaling whatever breath he'd had in his lungs before taking another kiss. The taste of his tongue in her mouth was exhilarating, it surprised her that the taste always gave her that rush. She pulled more of him to her, and he was practically lying on top of her before she began to wake up.

No. No I'm not sacrificing what I need right now. And I need this. I need him.

He was again, grateful he didn't need to breathe. If the only thing he could taste for a millennia after this was her, he wouldn't ever want to breathe again.

The only thing that stopped her was her stomach. It clenched in hunger and she moaned in disappointment. She felt his smirk against her lips before he kissed her one last time, chaste, and waited for her command.

"I need food. And maybe coffee." Caroline decided whimsically. He smiled and breathed a laugh, his eyes lit up with fireworks when a roll of her tinkling laughter came from her as well. "You need any?"

"All I need is right here," he said. She grinned. "Lying right in front of me." She raised an eyebrow in reply, challenging him to continue. "Not nearly as naked as she should be." Her laughter halfway through his flirtation turned it into a laugh as well.

"Do you wanna change that?" She asked, her eyebrow arching again. He beamed at her and pecked her face, travelling to her jugular and collarbone, distracting her from her hunger while he found the clasp she had drunkenly put on last night.

After a few good tugs, it was free and she giggled in surprise. The feeling under his lips was too much to bear and he tickled her with more kisses, before wanting more of her. Needing more of her. Caroline tried to shift herself to accommodate what he would do but he pinned her to the bed, kissing the limbs he pressed down and smiling at her before continuing. The fluffy bed sheet fell from him as he went farther down her body.

Sighs, moans and pulling at him, the noises she made getting louder until she shuddered. Her sighs and moans softened but didn't fall away, and before he knew it she'd yanked it back up to her, fully taking in the taste of him, and the taste of her into her own mouth. He almost didn't need to enter her before she gasped, but her warm skin on his just wasn't enough. He wanted that release, and she locked him in before he could begin to pull back. Bucking, crying out, snarling and teeth-clashing kisses filled their morning.

But again, her stomach clenched in hunger.

When they felt the sound reverberating through both of them, Klaus rolled off carelessly. He was panting hard, mostly a habit carried over from wanting to please her. Then he noticed her smiling at him and he sat up fast, looking for clothes. Suddenly it became a race and he wanted to get her coffee to her before she finished dressing.

Luckily, he was centuries older than her. Also not burdened right then by hunger.

He walked triumphantly to her door frame, a steaming cup of coffee with small hints of blood swirling around in the steam. She was too euphoric to be annoyed and kissed him hard when he handed it over.

How did this happen? Just months ago she was never going to see him again, he was going to sacrifice himself like an idiot and she was going to end up facing eternity alone. But she got out of her depression spiral after a win with her daughters, and figured out how to have everything she needed and wanted.

Since she was a little girl, too afraid to ride a bike without her mom holding the seat, she'd wanted the whole life every princess longed for. The perfect job, perfect children and to marry the perfect boy. But perfect, she'd discovered, was only a surface product. Nobody was truly perfect and those who pretended to be had hurt her too badly for her to ever salvage those relationships. So why should she want to? The one person in her life that had made everything right with her and only wanted her, only waited for her, was gone. But she knew how to bring him back now.

The Mikaelsons had all resurrected each other at one point or another, as she learned later from Freya the oldest and Rebekah the scorned. No one truly lived for a millennia. No one. Except for Klaus. And that strength to carry on was what she was counting on to keep him here with her, for as long as he'd have her.

"Eggs." She suddenly stated. Klaus's head cocked to the side in reply, looking for the rest of his clothing he'd abandoned before. "Scrambled, with shredded cheddar cheese so thick in it it's more like gooey cheese than egg." Caroline moaned at the thought and shook her head. She gulped some of the piping hot coffee, and suddenly some of her hunger was gone. She smiled and turned to him.

"Where'd you get the blood from?"

"Well I couldn't very well use yours, love." A look from her earned an offended one. "I was in a hurry!" She giggled and bit her lip again.

"So it's your blood I've got in my system again? Is this going to turn into decades old drama for a cure or need to be the alpha werewolf in a decades dead pack?" She teased, he breathed a laugh.

"It's merely the sustenance you need in order to survive the next few hours of lovemaking." Klaus grinned at her laughter, and sighed in relief that she didn't choose to take the revulsion route.

"Well, I'm going to need some gooey cheddar eggs before anything like that can happen this afternoon," Caroline murmured to him before kissing him and lingering in front of him, staring at his face. He blinked at her in reply, a slight smirk at the edges of his features. "It's just so weird that you're finally here. And with me." She kissed him again. "And in my bed." Another kiss. "And in the morning."

"Yes, this is slightly for comfortable than rough bark and falling leaves, on top of the dirt and patches of dead grass scattered throughout the forest." Klaus stared back at her and she giggled, shaking her head.

"I know you're a centuries-old hybrid, but you don't need to be a snob about that," she teased.

"I should go and make you breakfast instead then." Klaus decided, raising his eyebrows and grinning at her before walking from the room. Caroline shot up from her bed and the race was on again.

"Oh no you don't!"
