Crisis of Infinite Visions: A Wonder Woman Fanfiction Story

Central Vision 4:

Back over Earth-0, in the Earth-0 universe in the year 2013...

Paradise Island and Themiscrya are shrouded in magic dancing lights.

There's only two Mala nation Amazons patrolling the towers of Paradise Island. But...they look really nervous.

There are flashes of bright yellow to very dark red spirit energy blades slashing at shadow.

And... There are hints of Shadow Manhunters punching away.

Cries in mental overload and battle cries fill the courtyards of Paradise Island.

Cries in mental overload and battle cries cover the whole island of Themiscrya.

Antiope is in the central tower on Paradise Island.

She's sitting on her gold and dark green ribboned throne with silver stars across.

She's on the verge of tears.

She has repositioned the magic mirror from her meeting room over to here.

And... From the magic mirror in her Themiscryan throne room... Hippolyta is looking back at Antiope.

Hippoltya is teary eyed herself.

With no hidden contempt... Hippolyta mutters, "Antiope. What do you want?! To boast of your island nation while...?!"

Antiope starts to say, "Hippolyta..."

She sniffles hard.

She's finding it hard to look up.

Some tears fall from her face.

Hippolyta asks in concern, "Antiope? What is wrong?"

She does so with a softer tone.

Antiope kind of slowly looks up.

She sniffles hard.

She somberly explains, "the rifts are not just on seas, my sister. They've...closed in on Paradise Island. Hard sniffle. Adrasteia and several more of our Amazon sisters were taken away by Chaos before we even knew what came."

Hippolyta goes wide eyed.

She fully realizes, "oh...goddesses. Hard sniffle. I'm really sorry."

Tears fall from both of their faces.

They sniffle hard some.

Antiope admits, "I'm sorry too. I... Hard sniffle. I didn't reach you to fight you, Hippolyta. Not this time, anyway."

Antiope slightly smirks on the last part.

Hippolyta faintly laughs.

Hippolyta admits, "honestly, sister? I...I didn't think you'd talk to me again: After our magic was exposed to the world."

Antiope highlights, "well...fate isn't really kind to any of us right now. Very faint chuckle. What if...if there isn't another time for us to try to be there for each other as sisters?"

They faintly and solemnly smile.

Hippolyta almost reaches out to her.

But... She lets out a very mixed sigh.

She finds it hard to look up.

She sniffles hard.

Hippolyta thinks out loud, "you're speaking kindly. But... Hard sniffle. We left a good deal of hate between us. I...left a good deal of hate for you abandoning the Themiscryan Amazon ways. Your nation has been fighting Chaos very well without us. But, it's... Hard sniffle. It's still really not easy for me."

Antiope very faintly smiles in a knowing way.

Antiope recalls, "you know...I recall that time when you and the other Amazons helped me regain my senses from a shadow of hate."

With mixed feelings... Hippolyta somberly considers, "I...remember now too. Antiope."

She's looking down some now...deep in her thoughts.

Many mortal centuries ago...

There was a time when the Amazons didn't turn to magic mirrors on Themiscrya to watch the news in the mortal community and the magical community.

For many centuries... The Amazons sent a few of their best fighters to secretly spy on them every year: Even if just to add more books to their library from their travels across the world.

But... Antiope risked everything to meet Theseus.

The year was 323 B.C.

The fall of Athens was only a few days ago. But...the only mortal records that survived disavowed any destruction by Olympian god followers.

They mostly just insisted Athens wasn't in ruins and wasn't still fighting within its walls in the hope of calming everyone down on all sides: Thanks to Macedonian general Antipater and others under his then newer rule.

Where was Theseus then?

Well... The best way to understand where he was then is to go back further in time for now:

Mortal years before and after Theseus destroyed the Minotaur on Crete.

Hades had a secret deal with Poseidon for twenty one years.

Hades wouldn't try to destroy or take away Poseidon's Nereid in exchange for the seven most courageous young boys and the seven most beautiful young maidens from Athens. But, it was King Minos the 2nd that suggested the punishment to begin with: Who was a loyal follower of Poseidon no matter what.

These spirits were to board a boat and be sent as spiritual offerings from Athens to the afterlife: To satisfy Poseidon and to spare Athens more wrath from him.

A scheduled magic portal came every seven years to take these spirits to a small watery island of Poseidon's for fourteen years. Hades gathered them from there soon after.

King Minos the 2nd wanted to punish Athens for a son of his being destroyed shortly after winning in the Panathenaic Games. Poseidon liked his idea of punishment so much that he offered three curses for free to the next King of Crete.

Then... Theseus destroyed the Minotaur in battle in the Labyrinth.

Theseus had frontless short brownish blond hair. He wore mostly brown leather battle wear.

The city of Minos fell from the big uprising that came in the wake of the Minotaur's destruction on Crete soil. The spiritual offerings of young boys and maidens to Tartarus by King Minos the 2nd came to a end.

Ariadne secretly helped Theseus get the magic string that got him out of the Labyrinth. Ariadne's younger sister Phaedra secretly helped Theseus get a silver blade to destroy the Minotaur.

Ariadne had curly and long light red hair. Phaedra had slightly curly and medium light brown hair. They both wore dark blue gowns with mostly white flowery lace.

They soon both became mortal partners of Theseus: Hoping to help him and be there for him in future battles.

Poseidon was all too happy to offer three curses for free to Theseus instead of a new king that lived in Minos: Knowing only sadness would come of it.

Smugly... Theseus told him, "I accept your gift, Poseidon. These curses aren't in themselves evil. It's only if they're used poorly."

Poseidon laughed at that.

He crossed his arms.

He commented, "we will see if you don't get washed up by your own tears..."great" hero of Athens."

After a month at sea by ship on their way back to Athens... Theseus's whole life was hit hard.

He, Ariadne, Phaedra, and the freed young Athenians coming back with them stopped at the island of Naxos.

They originally went there to gather more water for their return trip to Athens. But... They didn't just find water and bright green trees.

They found the very first group of god followers for Dionysus: The Bacchic or Dionysian Mysteries.

They wore mostly dark purple to light red Greek robe like shirts and shorts. They loved spiritual offerings, love, late night parties and drinking, and celebrating advanced change of gender roles.

The most worthy were chosen by Dionysus to spiritually offer themselves to the afterlife to spread love and care to lonely spirits. A party in their honor and a magic portal came when the time was right for each and every one: Which still continues even into 2013.

The male god Dionysus had darkish purple skin and medium black hair. He wore a animated wine and spirits swimming upstream themed uniform.

There was a late night party on the beach. Theseus, Ariadne, Phaedra, and the young Athenians were all dancing and drinking the night away with The Dionysian Mysteries.

Then... Theseus woke up on the beach late that morning.

Most of the young Athenians were around and starting to wake up. Everyone else had vanished.

Athena came.

A little teary eyed... She warned, "Theseus. Please: Leave Ariadne and Phaedra now...or you really won't like what you find."

Theseus scoffed.

He turned his back on her.

He muttered back, "I know what's really going on. You think I can't win this coming battle. Well, I'll show you!"

Athena called out, "Theseus!"

But... Theseus walked off...off for the grassy hillsides ahead.

Athena heavily sighed into her hand.

Theseus tried to get the other young Athenians to go back to the ship with him in a hurry.

Soon... He found Phaedra on the island.

She pointed out to him that these Athenians actually want to become part of the Dionysus Mysteries: Hoping to make their families and friends proud in the afterlife by comforting their lost friends.

Theseus thanked her for the assurance.

But, then... Theseus went to find Ariadne.

And... He saw her lying in bed with Dionysus.

Theseus, a goddess follower of Aphrodite, prayed for her help.

Aphrodite quickly came to him to answer his prayer: In a unusually rushed manner and in Dionysus's clothes.

Theseus became furious and distraught. He stormed off for the ship.

Teary eyed... Aphrodite tried to assure, "Theseus... I was just sharing both my faces to Ariadne. Hard sniffle. Please...please forgive me for not sharing them with you and Phaedra sooner. We can all still be together. Hard sniffle. Please."

She tried several times to assure him of the last part. But...Theseus wasn't listening.

Theseus just quickly thought Ariadne was leaving him for Aphrodite.

He just left with Phaedra and the young Athenians.

Ariadne was distraught for days when she heard the news.

But... Aphrodite in both her forms helped her through it.

Meanwhile... Theseus caught Phaedra lying in bed with Hippolytus: A freed young Athenian that wanted to follow in Theseus's footsteps like a son in spirit.

Phaedra was quick to say she didn't make advances toward Hippolytus. But, Theseus and Hippolytus saw right through the blatant lie.

Hippolytus stormed off.

Theseus nearly destroyed Phaedra in anger with his silvery blade.

She reactively took his silvery blade.

She almost destroyed him with it.

Even as far back as childhood in their home cities... They both were known for having tempers.

But, on impulse... Theseus decided to curse both Hippolytus and Phaedra.

He cursed Phaedra's share of the gathered water...turning it into two wrathful Nereid.

The Nereid charged after Hippolytus and Phaedra...driving them overboard.

Hippolytus and Phaedra fought to swim to shore to Athens. But...the two newly created Nereid destroyed them first.

Ariadne forgave Theseus, Hippolytus, Phaedra, and Aphrodite. She went on to become a goddess partner for both faces of Aphrodite.

Theseus went back to Athens with black sails...feeling his spirit was lost.

His father Aegean soon disappeared: Taking the black sails to mean his son was destroyed in battle with the Minotaur.

Aegean was never to be seen again.

Theseus was soon to become king of Athens. But... He was distraught for all kinds of reasons.

Athena felt sorry for him. And, she helped him through it.

Theseus was struggling hard to keep it together while being a king. But... He became the only goddess partner of Athena throughout his rule of Athens.

A few mortal years later... Hades, Artemis, and Persephone went game seeking for Athena, Theseus, and Theseus's best friend Pirithous.

They took them out.

Artemis quickly got bored afterwards and left.

Pirithous was a dark yellow and white swirled centaur like Lapith, considered a prince among Lapiths. So, Artemis brought his unconscious body back with her to their island Aeaea.

Hades and Persephone brought Athena and Theseus to Tartarus to try to torture both of them in spirit flames.

Athena temporarily turned Theseus into stone to protect him: Until the time came when they could escape Tartarus together.

Many mortal months later... They finally escaped from Tartarus.

But, by then... Athens fell: Thanks to Ares, Poseidon, and both of their god followers seizing on the chance in their absence.

Athena and Theseus were hard on each other for not being clever enough to stop the fall of Athens. And, Theseus was about to lose his temper.

Athena seemed calm. But, she was breathing nervously.

Athena told him, "I... Sniffle. You're not the only one struggling with the fall of Athens. They were our people. And... For our own good... Sniffle. I believe it would be good for us to find different partners."

Theseus calmed down considerably on the first part.

They were soon hugging each other close.

They kind of slowly parted company. But, they were still good friends.

Theseus was wandering aimlessly along the outskirts of the ruins of Athens.

Athena gave him some food and water for a few days. She told him to trust her that his new partner would soon find him.

Then... He found Antiope.

They spent several nights together: Telling their stories to each other in the ruins of Theseus's throne room.

They then went on horseback together.

They solemnly smiled to each other shortly before they did.

They gathered back what little was left of Theseus's Athenian forces and other friends from his fallen government.

The night after... Their silhouettes blended together before the stars and the ruins.

They were preparing to battle right through the center of Ares's forces and sneak through them to strike through the center of Poseidon's forces. Ares's forces liked to battle among themselves plenty already.

But... There was one battle that night Theseus and Antiope could never see coming.

Phaedra never forgave Theseus.

Her intention to destroy Theseus and everyone he cares for had her end up in Tartarus.

After many months... Phaedra escaped Tartarus.

Only the most impulsive could escape that easy. But...often not without spiritually losing themselves.

Wrathful ghosts were called onryō. Kinder ghosts were mostly just harmlessly haunting houses.

Onryō Phaedra mind controlled Theseus's then current mortal hybrid partner. And, that partner...was Antiope.

Antiope took Theseus's own dagger.

Her eyes were full of Phaedra's cold blue wrath.

She was about to finish Theseus while he was sleeping in bed.

But... Antiope had not been answering magical links from Hippolyta that night by tapping on the side of her Golden Girdle of Gaia.

Hippolyta quickly sent a Amazon with curly and slightly long blond hair named Phithia to bring Antiope back to Themiscrya. She was accompanied by two more Amazons on the same spirit energy glowing rowboat of bright yellow.

Phithia's team of Amazons restrained Antiope back.

The dagger dropped swiftly from Antiope's hands.

Tears were running down Antiope's face.

With Phaedra's voice... She cried out, "let go of me, you animals! Hard sniffle! I'm going to destroy him for destroying me, and...!"

But... Phithia knocked her out with the back of her spirit energy glove.

Theseus swiftly got his blade out from under the bed.

But... There was a flash of blinding bright red light.

A Amazon just then tapped on the side of Antiope's Golden Girdle of Gaia.

And... The Amazons had already vanished from Theseus's sight.

They magically appeared in Hippolyta's throne room.

They told Hippolyta what happened.

Hippolyta worriedly said, "I understand, Amazon sisters. Get back now!"

She quickly tapped on the side of her own Golden Girdle of Gaia.

There was a flash of blinding bright red light...directly at Antiope's unconscious head.

And... Phaedra's wrathful spirit screamed and cowered away before it.

Hippolyta and the other conscious Amazons let out sighs of relief.

A few days later...

Hippolyta ruled that the Amazons should turn to magic mirrors to spy on the mortal community and the magical community from then on.

Antiope knew Hippolyta would take the truth about her and Theseus the wrong way. So, she let Hippolyta assume for herself that Antiope and Theseus being partners was just part of the wrathful spirit's plans.

Antiope asked to at least get to say goodbye to him.

Hippolyta let her talk to him through a magic mirror. But, she insisted to make it quick.

Antiope briefly explained what happened to her to Theseus.

They had quickly realized the Amazons would rather fight over Antiope than let her be together with him.

They said their tearful goodbyes.

But... Athena gave Theseus one last gift:

Twenty years of god time in the Elysian Fields to spend happily together with Antiope.

Most of the Olympian Gods agreed.

Athena assured the Amazons she didn't do anything against the Amazon way. And, that brushed aside Hippolyta's suspicions.

Theseus and Antiope even had two mortal hybrid creations together: Demophon and Acamas.

They would go on living as adults back on Earth in the same historical time period thanks to Athena dropping them off there. It was almost as though they were orphans.

Theseus was dropped off back to his forces in Athens.

They tried to reclaim the newly forming Athens for a better Greece.

The big fight around Helen of Troy and Poseidon's wrath against Theseus's family ultimately led to the end for Theseus and his forces.

Theseus happily charged for Poseidon on the edge of a cliff...knowing he'd return to the Elysian Fields.

What he didn't know was Amazons can live on for centuries. So...he didn't know he'd return alone.

Athena let a shaken Antiope see Theseus's fate...just before bringing her back to Themiscrya.

It seemed that only a few mortal seconds went by around Antiope. But, she knew better.

Hippolyta and Antiope hugged each other close.

Tears were running down their faces.

But... They knew there would be better days ahead.

They and the other Amazons would go on.

Presently...

Hippolyta looks up.

After a bit... She very faintly and somberly smiles.

Hippolyta concludes, "I...I don't want to fight you now. Sniffle. I'm thankful we can reach each other again at last...my sister."

Antiope and Hippolyta's hands phase through their magic mirrors.

They put a comforting hand on each other's.

Antiope says, "thank you...my sister."

Hippolyta adds, "no. Thank you."

They faintly smile to each other.

Then... The Shadow Manhunters barge into the throne rooms.

Antiope concludes, "today...is a good day to fight."

Hippolyta just says, "yes. Agreed."

Just then... They both tap on the sides of their Golden Girdles of Gaia.

From the girdles... Gaia says, "I hear your call for my help...Amazon queens."

It's a pre-recorded magically transmitted message.

Yet... A bright red blinding light shines from the Golden Girdles of Gaia.

Twenty three Shadow Manhunters shriek and cower before the very goddess light of Gaia.

It only lasts a few mortal seconds. It only covers the two throne rooms.

But... Antiope and Hippolyta are ready with their spirit energy blades.

Their spirit energy blades are both glowing near whitish bright red.

And... With their battle cries... Antiope and Hippolyta are charging right for the Shadow Manhunters in their throne rooms.
