"Don't do this. I haven't come here to fight"
Hawk's glare was not lessened by that in any way.
"You shouldn't be here! You had no right to come here"
Hawk was outraged that Sam was standing right outside Miguel's hospital room. How dare she?
Sam looked guilty but had a firmness to her voice this time.
"You can't blame all of this on me! I didn't.."
Sam wanted to say she didn't put Miguel in here. But she couldn't.
Hawk sneered.
"See! You can't even finish that sentence! You know some of this stuff is your fault! Maybe it's time for you to grow up and stop acting like an innocent princess"
Those words cut Sam to the bone. But she couldn't give up.
"I just wanted to talk to him"
Hawk still sneered.
"Not gonna happen"
Sam knew she wasn't getting in there. But she had one more thing to try.
"Then can you please tell me how he is?"
Hawk started remembering everything Sam did to Miguel. Keeping him a secret, breaking up with him.
"He's getting better. No thanks to you.
