PJ had gotten a hold of the prosecuting attorney. She went to his office in St. Louis, Missouri to meet with him. She'd just gotten there.

"Polly Jean?" He asked.

"Yes." "Call me PJ."

"I'm Sam Thomas." "Have a seat."

She sat down. "Before I get started you have a case right, for the others I mean?"

"For three of them yes, very strong cases." "May I record you telling me your story?"

"Yes."

He pressed record on an IPad. "Do you remember the date it happened?"

"Yes." August 12th 2010."

"How old were you at the time?"

"Twenty-one."

"Did you know Randy before the attack?"

"I met him the week previous." "I'd won a two week long contest to a pay-per-view called Summerslam."

"Can you tell me what happened the night the assault?"

"Yes." She explained what happened.

"What happened after that?" "I went back to my hotel and showered." "The next morning I booked a flight home."

"Did you report it?"

"Yes but I wasn't planning on it initially." "My sister convinced me to."

"Did they do a rape kit?"

"Yes but since I showered beforehand there was no evidence." "The detectives that took my statement didn't believe me." "Detective Johnson accused me of sleeping with Randy and feeling guilty about it." "Two months later I suffered a miscarriage." "The baby was Randy's."

"You're certain?"

"Positive." "I hadn't been with anyone then."

"Is that everything?"

"Yes." He turned off the recording.

"Would you be willing to testify in court?"

"Absolutely." "Is Randy in jail now?"

"He's out on bail." "The trial starts next month."

PJ had gotten home later that day. She and Alex had just gotten in bed. It was the first time they'd been alone all day.

"How did it go today?" Alex asked.

"It was hard to talk about but I'm testifying at his trial."

"When does it start?"

"Next month."

"How long will you be gone?"

"A few days."

"I'll work it out work."

"Ok." "I want to do this but Alex, the thought of seeing him again…

"I know." "I also know how strong you are." "I know you can do this." He kissed her.
