Hi everyone! I hope you are all ok! Thank you for reading!

This one shot is based on the current Amilly and I'm just adding what I would have loved to see. I hope you like it.

Thoughts whirled through Amanda's head as she walked down the pavement, the cool air hitting her face and body though not cool enough to make her feel cold though she shouldn't stay out for long given she hadn't taken a jacket.

Today had been quite eventful to her. She had been interrogated by Lily and even though she put her in place, lying to her in the process that she and Billy were not close and nothing had happened between them (why was she being nosy in her business) she had a feeling Lily knew something. It was just her lawyer eyes capable of detecting the slight hints and she knew of Lily's tell. She had discovered it the day she had offered her a job.

And then her conversation with Nate. She had vented to him as soon as he asked what it was working with Billy. She hadn't been fair to Billy. In hindsight she had been rattled by Victoria's involvement in the story Billy was so excited about.

She couldn't help but question his true motive, why he was willing to risk their necks and the company for a story with no proof. So when Nate asked, the dam just broke and she just let out steam.

She was glad she had talked to him some but she was no closer to calming herself hence the aimless walking.

A moment or 2 later, she found herself staring at the entrance of the Empty glass lounge and she stared at it in surprise as though it had just materialized out of nowhere.

Realising she could use a drink, she decided to enter.

Amanda walked through the door into the dimly lit club already feeling comforted by the familiar surroundings and decided she had made the right decision to come here. There were not many people inside as usual, another reason she liked this place. It was calm enough to talk, to think.

Ever since she walked into this place, the place had cantered her, calmed her and gave her comfort. Of course most of it was due to Billy Abbott, the man she met by chance and had taken her world by storm.

Her eyes almost immediately went to her table, or better yet, their table where they had shared many a conversation and she froze, her heart skipping a beat as she saw him sitting there, handsome in a blue button down shirt jacket slung at the back of his chair, a glass of scotch in hand, paused midway to his lips looking deep in thought.

She didn't have any time to make a decision whether to approach or retreat before, as if he sensed her presence, his eyes rose and met hers, a look of surprise on his face. Everything disappeared, the sounds of music and chatter, the clink of glasses, everything. It was just the 2 of them.

She wasn't sure how long they just stared at each other. It was probably just less than a minute but to her it felt a lot more. As if operating on their own, separate from her brain, her legs carried her forward straight to him.

Billy watched as Amanda approached, his eyes breaking from her eyes to look at her, following her movement till she came to a stop right in front of him beside the empty chair.

She looked amazingly beautiful.

She was still in the cream dress that had taunted him all day showing off her gorgeous body and legs and the only change was she had tied her hair in a simple ponytail revealing her slender neck and face.

"Hi." he said with a smile his eyes returning to meet with her eyes.

Amanda felt a tingle at the way he was looking at her and tried to ignore it. She always felt it when he looked at her and it always amazed and scared her how much he affected her.

"Hi." She said smiling back hoping her nerves weren't showing.

Billy signalled at the empty chair for her to sit and as she did, he called over the waiter who came almost instantly. "The usual?"

"Yes thank you." said Amanda with a smile

"Ok." said Billy then turned to the waiter, "Scotch, neat, double."

When the waiter left, Billy said, "So fancy seeing you here."

"You too." said Amanda.

There was silence before they both said at the same time, "Why are you here?"

They both chuckled and Billy said, "You first."

Amanda sighed. "I don't know." she said honestly. "I just… I left my suite to get some air and some clarity and ended up here. You?"

"Same." said Billy.

The waiter came and Amanda accepted the order then turned back to Billy. "You haven't been back here since…" She didn't finish but the words, 'since their kiss' hung in the air.

"No. This is the first time I came back here."

They stared at each other, each wondering about how they were both back in the same place at the same time. Was it mere Coincidence? Fate? Cupid?

"So what brings you here today?" asked Amanda.

"A lot of things."

"Such as?" asked Amanda then said, "I'm sorry if I'm snooping." She didn't know where they stood at the moment. Were they friends or just co-workers?

"No. No it's ok. We are friends aren't we?" said Billy with a

"Yes. We are." said Amanda smiling back.

Billy looked at her for a moment longer then let out a little smile and said, "I had a lot on my mind about work and about my personal life."

Amanda felt herself heating up at the way he looked at her when he said, 'personal life'. It was clear she was part of the reason why he was here. "What about work?" asked Amanda choosing a safe topic. "Is this about Victoria's story?"

"Yes. I know that and I agree with what you said that I need proof before we run this but the story will put us on the map and I really want to run it."

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead."

"Are you interested in running this story because it's good for Chance Com or it's because of Victoria? And I need you to be honest about this Billy."

Billy picked up his scotch and swirled it before he threw it to the back of neck feeling the burn before he said, "Why do you think that?"

"You didn't want to mention her name when we asked and you were eager to protect her from the fallout not to mention you were ready to jump headfirst, evidence be damned to print it. It seems to me Victoria is your main drive."

Billy smirked, "I knew that's what you were thinking and would think which is why I didn't want to bring up her name in the first place."

"Really?" said Amanda sceptically.

"Yes. Really. The truth is, I saw an opportunity and jumped at it. That story is going to be huge, sensational and it's exclusive to us. It will put us on the map and establish us as contenders in the industry."

"Makes sense."

"You were sceptical about it." said Billy referring to how she had reacted when he pitched the idea.

"Of course I was. You just burst in with this huge story from your ex with no proof. I didn't know what to make of it."

"You really think I'm reckless don't you?" said Billy staring at her wanting to hear the truth from her.

"I do." said Amanda honestly. "But it's not necessarily a bad thing."

"You think so?"

"Yes Billy. Do I get frustrated with you about it? Yes. Do I wish you could be more careful and think things through? Yes." She watched Billy's face turn to that of hurt and she quickly added, "But that's who you are and I get that and understand it. I wouldn't want you to change. To be honest I actually envy your ability to just let go and not overthink things."

"Really?" said Billy feeling a sudden peace at what she had said. She understood him and that made him feel relief and fall for her a little deeper.

"Yeah. I mean I did let you talk me into get on that ledge."

"And you liked it."

"And I liked it." agreed Amanda and they shared a laugh.

"You know?" said Billy cracking some nuts "I have really missed this."

"What, sitting in a dingy bar eating nuts and drinking scotch?" asked Amanda with a teasing smile.

"Yes. That." He teased back with a smile of his own and they laughed. "And You."

"What?" said Amanda looking at him waiting for him to continue.

"I missed you." He said looking directly at her seeing as she paused a look of surprise on her face. "I missed us just being like this. It's another reason why I came here. To feel connected to you."

"Billy…" said Amanda his words making her heart beat a little quicker.

"It's the truth."

"I missed you too and if I'm honest, it's why I'm here too."

They were silent thinking at what they had just admitted.

"We need to talk about what happened between us Amanda."

Amanda sighed knowing that was coming but she agreed. It's high time they put everything in the open. "We do." After a pause she said, "Where do we start?"

"I don't know. We have been through a lot in a short space of time haven't we."

"We sure have. It's been quite a rollercoaster."

"It has." Said Billy then said, "We kissed. Lets start from there."

"Why did you leave when we did?" asked Amanda

Billy took a breath. He had known she was going to ask that. He had asked himself that question a thousand times. "I thought it was right at the time. It was just after ripley and I just thought you weren't ready emotionally. You were after all withdrawing each time I tried to talk about us."

Amanda was silent mulling that over. She had been hurt when he walked out soon after she kissed him. She had been confused and that's why she had insisted they become friends. Now it turns out he was trying to protect her as he had always done. "I can understand that. At the time yes I was weary starting something with you after Ripley and Victoria but it still hurt when you walked out. I kissed you Billy and then you walked out."

"I am sorry for hurting you Amanda. That was never my intention. I just thought I was…"

"Protecting me. I know that now. It's why I asked us to be friends."

"Why did you avoid me? Since agreeing to be friends, I didn't see you anymore."

"You didn't look for me."

"I know. I thought you needed space and time. Protecting you remember?"

"And I was waiting for you to text." Said Amanda realising how dumb her reasoning had been but at the time, it had been a good one. She let out a chuckle. "That sounds stupid I know."

"Not stupid. When I didn't hear from you and then I saw you on the date with Nate I thought you had moved on."

"You saw us?"

"Yeah. I came to get a drink and saw you. You looked beautiful by the way."

"Thanks." Said Amanda blushing hiding behind her glass which the waiter was continuously refilling.

"I thought you wanted nothing to do with me. Imagine my surprise when you accepted my job offer. Why did you? And I need the truth because from my knowledge, you had a lot of job offers some from reputable law firms."

"I did and I know I could have gone and worked for them but I wanted to be at Chance. It provided a challenge I was seeking, the salary was great and…it would mean working with you." She said looking at him. "You are brilliant and I wanted the chance to experience that. And I just wanted to be near you."

She had asked herself why she didn't even think much about the chance offer, tried to come up with a ton of reasons to justify her choice but in the end she just accepted that she wanted to work with Billy and be close to him.

Billy looked at her surprised she had actually admitted what he had thought all along. This made him sure this was a raw conversation where everything was said honestly and laid out in the open.

He knew it must not have been easy for her to admit that given how guarded she was with her feelings and he was grateful she was like that with him. Her words came back to him when she had said, "I swear this is the only place where I can be myself."

"I am glad you accepted."

"Me too. It's been a ride and it's only been a few weeks."

"What did you expect from me."

"Nothing less." Said Amanda with a laugh.

"What is our way forward with us? Because there is something between us Amanda and it's not going away."

"I know."

"You are with Nate."

"Yes."

"Are you…happy?"

"He is a good man. He treats me right." Said Amanda.

Billy felt his heart fall at the praise. Of course doctor Nate was a good person. Everyone in Genoa sang praises over the selfless doctor. Amanda would want that.

"But he is not you." Said Amanda looking at him. Billy's eyes widened at the admission. "I have tried to give back to him but it's not working. We haven't been to many dates and the few we have been to, it's like we are just friends chatting about work. Nothing more."

"And I'm not with Victoria anymore nor am I going back to her ever again. We talked."

"You did?" said Amanda surprised.

"Yeah when Katie had an emergency. The day I took the day off. I spent it with Katie then she was stung by a bee and she reacted."

"Oh no. is she ok?" asked Amanda concerned.

"She is fine. I took her to hope clinic which is close to the park we were at thanks to you telling me about that place. Vic came and we talked. She forgives me and we are now friends who co parent. Nothing more."

Amanda nodded feeling relieved. Her heart releasing the knot that had been around it. When billy had rushed in with the story from Victoria, she thought it meant he still felt something for her and wanted her back. Even when he had said his reasoning was for Chance, she hadn't truly believed it until now.

They were silent looking at each other before Amanda asked, "What do we do now?"

"We move forward. Together."

"We work together. You are my boss."

"That doesn't matter. There is nothing stopping us now Amanda. We both feel something for each other. We can start something new now."

"We can." Said Amanda with a smile then said, "I need to end things with Nate first. We may not have been serious but he deserves that."

"Of course. I will wait until you do." Said Billy. What was one more day or 2 compared to what he hoped would be the rest of their lives.

Amanda smiled at him feeling a lightness in her. Billy wanted her. He wanted to be with her and despite everything, she wanted him too. Talk about opposites attract.

"It's getting late." She said looking at her watch. She had an early morning. With Newman acquisition, it meant a lot of paperwork for her to comb through.

"Yeah it is." said Billy

"We probably should go." said Amanda not really wanting to but knowing it was the wise idea and with one look at him, she stood up watching as he did the same.

As she made to walk toward the door, Billy held her hand and said, "Wait." Amanda stopped looking at him with a puzzled look feeling her hand tingle at his touch. "Let's dance."

"Dance?" said Amanda her eye brow raised.

"Yes I just realised we have never danced and today is as good a day as any."

"I don't know." said Amanda not really wanting to dance in this little club. Beside what if someone saw them? She was still with Nate after all. She didn't want to hurt him.

"And we need to celebrate."

"Celebrate?" said Amanda her eyebrow raised

"Yeah. We finally talked and let things out in the open. That is a major accomplishment I would say. So dance?"

Amanda looked at him as if he had lost his mind then shook her head amused.

"Is that a yes?"

"Would it make a difference if it was a no?"

"Not really." said Billy pulling her to a private little space before holding her close to him swaying to the soft music that had just started.

Amanda placed her hands on his shoulders, relishing being held by his strong arms. She looked up at his handsome face. His dark eyes met hers making her draw gasp at the way he was staring at her. It felt as though he was staring deep into her soul. She couldn't breath.

Billy pulled her closer, her body melding against his. She was a perfect fit. He could feel her curves against him. he broke eye contact from her gorgeous face knowing if he didn't he would kiss her right there. He leaned down, his face burying into her tempting neck, breathing in her sweet scent, her perfumed infused with something that was uniquely her.

Amanda let out a soft moan at his breath on her neck and she gripped him a little tighter. She was getting turned on dancing with him like that.

Billy lifted his head and his eyes met with hers again and this time, he couldn't stop himself. He bend his head slowly watching as her eyes followed his movement before they shut just as his lips brushed hers. The moment their lips met, everything else faded and it was just them. They kissed passionately, their lips melding, their tongues tangling.

They didn't know how long they kissed but when they broke apart, they were both flushed and clearly turned on. They stared at each other before Billy pulled her close and she rested her head on his chest resuming their dance.

XXX

"You know you didn't have to take me all the way here." said Amanda as they stood at her door. He had driven her back to the hotel (he now had his own penthouse with room for the kids to have sleepovers) and then insisted to take her to her room wanting to make sure she got there safe.

"I wanted to."

Amanda smiled at him. She turned and unlocked her door before turning to him. they stared at each other again neither saying anything, the air heavy between them.

"So um, I'll see you tomorrow. Actually it's later today."

Amanda laughed at that. "Yes. It's actually today." There was a pause then Amanda said, "Good night Billy."

"Goodnight." said Billy staring into her eyes.

Amanda stared right back unable to look away, the air around them charged. Before she could take a step to enter her room, Billy grabbed her hand, pulled her flush against him and his lips descended down on hers in a passionate kiss.

Amanda kissed him back with fervour. Kissing him was addictive and she wasn't sure she was going to be able to stop. As the kiss continued to heat up she realised they were still in the hallway where anyone could see them.

She broke the kiss just enough to pull him into her room with her before shutting the door and connecting their lips again.

Billy groaned already feeling so turned on. He couldn't get enough of her and knew they had to stop before he wouldn't be able to. Problem was he didn't want to stop and didn't seem to have the will power to do that. After all she was in his arms, willing and kissing him back.

It was Amanda who made the made move, unbuttoning his shirt eager to feel his skin against her hands. With that move, all bets were off. Clothes began disappearing from their bodies amidst kisses and touches then Billy carried her the short distance to the bed.

There was no turning back now. They both wanted this. The dam had broken and no one could stop the flow of emotions between them. The first time was frantic, each trying to outdo the other, trying to touch wherever they could reach before they united in a frenzied passion filled lovemaking. Amanda orgasmed with a scream and Billy held on. Giving her little time to recover, he began mapping her body, discovering her, lavishing her with complements before he made love to her gently and they both came in a roll of orgasmic waves.

"Wow…" said Amanda breathless.

"Yeah." Said Billy kissing her lightly. "Are you ok?"

"I am perfect."

"Are you sure? I know you wanted to wait until you told Nate…"

Amanda sighed. "Yes I did but it happened and I wanted this. I am not sorry it happened."

Billy looked at her wanting to see if she meant it and when he saw only truth he smiled, kissed her before he pulled her into his arms, holding her close happy she was finally his to hold and dare he say, love.

There you go.

I hope this made sense. I wanted a conversation between these 2 and I hope I did some justice to it.
