Chapter 28 A Little Bit of Hope
Sora's POV
The Next Day
Everybody had woken up.
I walked up to them and realized something.
"Where's Donald, Goofy and the king", I asked in concern.
Before I could get an answer...a giant shadow was cast over me and everybody else!
I looked up...and to my surprise...saw the Gummi Ship!
It landed...and Donald, Goofy and the king walked out of it.
"There you guys are", Aqua said.
"You went to get the Gummi Ship", Riku asked in confusion.
"Yes", the king replied before looking at king Meishu. "Your majesty, this is my ship. It can't take your people to my kingdom, where they will be safe."
"You would so that for my people your majesty", King Meishu asked in shock.
"But of course", the king replied. "I know how awful it feels when your kingdom is in trouble and you don't know what to do. So...I want to help where I can!"
Hearing this caused King Meishu to start tearing up.
Then...he smiled before kneeling down to the king's height at grabbing his hand.
"Thank you King Mickey", he said. "Thank you so much! I will forever be in your debt."
"Don't worry about it", the king said before King Meishu stood up.
"It's a small ship", he pointed out.
"Yes", the king replied sadly. "It is going to take quite a few trips to get everybody away."
"I'd better start organizing groups then", King Meishu said before leaving.
"What should we do your majesty", I asked King Mickey.
"We need to distract the Heartless so that every can escape safely", he replied.
"That's a lot of Heartless to distract", Axel pointed out.
"Plus we're going to have to keep them distracted for a long time", Isa added.
"I know", the king agreed. "But you guys can do it! I know you can!"
"Garsh", Goofy started. "I wish we could help, but we need to make sure the Gummi Ship gets to our kingdom safely."
"That's why you'd better make sure that you don't get into any trouble ya half-pint", Donald commanded.
"Hey", I said in defense causing everybody to laugh.
"Alright fellas", the king started. "Enough of that. We need to help King Meishu out."
"You guys do that", Riku said. "We'll take care of the Heartless."
"Okay then", the king said. "Please be careful everybody."
"We will", I stated. "You guys be careful too."
"We will", Goofy stated.
"Well", the king started. "Goodbye and good luck."
With that...the king left with Donald and Goofy.
"Okay", I started. "So, how are we going to do this?"
"I suggest that we split up into teams to cover each corner of the kingdom."
