SKILLS HONED AND TESTED
(PART 1: ONE MUST FIGHT LIKE A SUPERIOR OPPONENT TO DEFEAT THEM)
THIRD PERSON-VILLERIA, BRAISA, AND MARIDA
While Braisa and Villeria sparred, they both had one thing in mind, how to defeat a Force adept. Villeria decided to use a thin metal rod so as to avoid accidentally electrocuting her friend.
After an hour of dueling, Villeria and Braisa decided to be done with their training.
While Villeria and Braisa were heading towards the command center, they heard a voice they instantly recognized as Marida say, "Wait."
Villeria smiled and said, "What is it, Marida?"
"I contacted General Nolek to come here. I figured that if someone like General Nolek helped hone your skills, we may be able to actually defeat an Inquisitor without the intervention of our men."
"Hm," Braisa said, "General Nolek did defeat four Inquisitors single-handed. He'd be quite helpful in practicing how to fight a Force adept."
"I disagree since he'll fight like an Inquisitor. I think we'd learn nothing except how to get even more beaten," Villeria said.
"But Villeria, think about it. If he does fight like an Inquisitor as you suggest he would while training us, it might teach us how to defeat an Inquisitor," Braisa said.
"You do make a good point." Villeria said, "He even said to me once after we defeated the Imperial forces attempting to recapture Ryloth, 'One of the best ways to defeat an enemy that is greater in strength is to fight like them'."
"Good advice," Marida said, "General Nolek did leave one tinsy little thing out of the equation: none of us have any knowledge of the Force whatsoever!"
Villeria sighed and said, "We'll just have to live with that. Really, though, the best we will learn is how to dodge the use of the Force our opponent will no doubt apply to the fight."
While waiting for General Nolek to arrive, Villeria and Braisa sparred. As Villeria and Braisa sparred, Villeria remembered how her former second-in-command, Dildir died fifteen months ago. Right after her main force broke through the Imperial defenses on Ryloth, Dildir was killed by a Darktrooper droid. Since then, she'd fought beside her new second-in-command, Captain Wallop.
Seconds after Dildir said, "Alright, men! Advance. C'mon, soldiers! Press the attack! Move!" an Imperial Officer ordered a Darktrooper droid to kill him with a blaster. She remember how, although she did witness it, Dildir was listed amongst the casualties.
Eight seconds after Villeria and Braisa's duel ended in a draw with Braisa's sword aimed at Villeria's abdomen and Villeria's deactivated electrostaff aimed at Braisa's neck, a clone came forward and said, "General Nolek has arrived."
"Good," Braisa said.
When Villeria, Braisa, and Marida greeted General Nolek, General Nolek asked, "What do you need me for?"
Marida started to say, "We encountered an Inquisitor a few weeks ago and-"
"You barely got out of there alive and feel as though in order to defeat an Inquisitor, you'll have to learn to fight better, and what better teacher to fight Inquisitors than someone who's actually defeated them before." Nolek said.
"That wouldn't be a problem, would it?"
"All right." Nolek sighed.
As soon as Braisa and Villeria got to the Black Phantom, Nadeen said, "To the training room."
When Villeria and Braisa looked at a table, they saw at least 23 lightsaber hilts of the same form, yet of different designs as the one their Inquisitor adversary was using.
Braisa turned to Villeria and whispered, "I think he may not be the best one to teach us even though he's defeated many Inquisitors. Looking at his collection of Inquisitor weapons, we'll never pass any test against him ever."
"I understand your concerns, but we need to improve our skills as melee fighters if we ever want to defeat an opponent like an Inquisitor."
As soon as Nolek, Villeria, and Braisa entered the Black Phantom's training room, Villeria and Braisa saw Nolek holding one of the 23 lightsabers from his collection.
"In order to learn how to defeat an enemy, you must learn how to defend against their fighting style." Nolek said.
