Ninjago Ball
A few days had passed and everyone felt a bit weary as Garmadon had not used the mega weopon against them in those few days. It worried them and made them wondered if he simply had no ideas or if he was planning something even worse then before.
But they did take this time to continue training and doing other things they wanted to do. Wu and Zane learned to be a family and how this would all work. Taking time to be with each other and become closer.
Maya became happy to see Zane in a family setting. Especially the way he seemed to smile more now. 'He really did need this.' Maya smiled.
Lloyd was getting closer and closer to Zane, know that they where official family Lloyd started fallowing him around like a little duck and copying him and such. The other became a bit jealous of this but were happy for him none the less.
Maya and Zane took the time to spend more time with each other, learning more about each other's thoughts and feelings. Unfortunately, they did get into a fight once.
It was resolved quickly but they knew from then on out that Zane should never ignore Maya, even if he is in the middle of a gaming dual with his friends, and that Maya needed to learn not say such nasty words when angry. Let's just say Maya was very ashamed she made Zane cry after calling him a mindless droid.
Everyone was glad when that was over as Maya had bean iffy and Zane has practically made the bounty freeze. It's a good thing they apologize, using their letters to help keep calm and tell their feeling to each other without riling up the other.
Wu sighed at this but thought 'They act like a married couple.' Wu laughed at the thought after but didn't say anything, knowing how it sort of bothered them.
One day they were all watching Lloyd practice on the spinjistue course and "I did it!"
Lloyd cheered as he fell on his rump after completing a spin for the first time.
They all ran up to congratulate him.
"Way to go Lloyd." Kai patted his head.
"Those snakes won't know what hits them if they ever mess with you now." Jay smirks.
"I'm so proud." Maya hugged him.
"You have done well Lloyd. You are getting stronger every day." Zane bowed.
Lloyd did the same once out of Maya's grip. Wu came up and said "Yes you are learning fast for your age Lloyd. Soon you will learn to land on your feet after using spinjistues and how to better make attacks with it and your elemental powers."
"What about my true potential!" Lloyd jumped happily.
"That will not happen till you are older. Your body must first be at physical peek condition and that does not happen till adult hood." Wu explains.
"Aw mans grown ups get all the fun." Lloyd pouted and they all laughed.
"Not all the time kiddo. Enjoy yourself okay." Maya smiles.
Lloyd nodded and went off to try and spin some more still falling but that didn't seem to deter him.
"Ah such so resilient are the young." Wu smiles.
Suddenly Nya came on board with her suite and jumped down saying "Hye guys you won't believe it we just got invited…."
"Don't' say darklys, never again." Kai crossed his arms.
"No not darklys. This is better. I had just stopped a robbery and you won't believe who came up to talk to me?" Nya said excited.
"Who? A famous movie star, singer, the writer of starfare?!" Jay had stars in his eyes.
"Star fare?" Cole frowned.
"Lloyd got me into it okay. It's really cool." Jay frowns.
"It wasn't anyone like this. The person that came up to me was the mayor of Ninjago city." Nya squealed.
"The Mayor. I barely hear anything about her." Maya looked confused.
"She is a very privet individual from what I have heard so not much is covered about her in the media." Zane explains.
"Well today she wasn't so private, she had to inspect the bank for some big ceremony on a new security system and when she saw how well I did against the robbers she came up and gave me this letters." Nya smiled wider if possible.
"Well what's it for sis." Kia looked curios.
"We've bean invited to the Ninjago city ball. The most exclusive party of the year." Nya finally fangirls.
"What, no way, that's awesome." The guys cheer excitedly.
"I heard it is the biggest event of the years in Ninjago city and only a very selected few people are invited." Zane looked on excited as well.
'Oh a chance to dress nice and dance.' Maya felt giddy as she blushed looking at Zane "I've also heard they always get the band of the year to play and that there's a giant chocolate fountain." Maya dreams of the stuff they would have.
"Giant chocolate fountain. Can we go uncle, please, please, I promise to behave!" Lloyd begged.
"I suppose if the mayor asked for us to come it is best we show up, we should keep appearances with the people to show we are here to help. But all of you must be on your best behavior understand."
"Yes Sensei!" They all bow.
"Now let's get you all some appropriate cloths for the event." Wu threw his staff out.
They all cheered and headed off.
At the city of ouroboros….
Garmadon looked from atop the highest peak of the city and mused "The Ninjago city ball. Only the highest of Ninjago's finest will be invited. Now will be my chance to take over Ninjago, days of planning finally coming into play." Garmadon smirks.
"Sir we got news." A snake comes over.
"What is it?" he growls.
"The ninja have been invited to the party." The snake explains.
"The ninja hugh, oh this will make my victory even sweater to see their crushed face." He smirked then pointed to the snake "Gram as much venge stone as you can. We're goanna need it to keep it at bay."
"Right away sir." The snake saluted and ran off.
"Watch out ninja, today will be the day." Garmadon begging to laugh.
With the ninja…..
As the boys where getting fitted in tuxes that matched their ninja colors Lloyd said "This is stupid. Why do we have to wear these monkey suits?"
"It is required for an event like this to wear proper clothing, and it shows respect for our host." Zane explains.
"Hey Zane where did you get your suite form anyway, your just getting your fixed up right." Cole asked as Zane brought the suite he wore when he took Maya to their dinner date.
"It belonged to an elder in a village I was staying in, he gave it to me as he no longer had used for it or anyone to give it too." Zane explained
"Oh a hand me down. My blacksmith sash is one as well. From my father. It's good not to throw away things that still work." Kai smiles.
Wu then came in and said "Well you all look very nice. The girls are still shopping. If you all wish to look around you may but stay close by."
"Yes sensei." They all agreed.
"Can someone take me to the comic book shop?" Lloyd begged.
Zane was going to agree but "Oh I'll take you. I want to see if they have the new star fare comic."
"Yes!" Lloyd exclaimed and the headed off.
"I think we're just going to go brows, see you guys around." Kai waves as Cole said "And maybe get some cake."
Once gone and Zane was changed he came out and said "Father…"
Wu looked over with a smile, still getting used to the new title but happy. "Yes son?"
Zane smiled and said "I wish to look at something important and wanted your advice on my choice."
"Of course Zane, you know you can ask me for anything." Wu smiled.
Zane smiled back and nodded as he showed Wu to where they where heading.
With the girls…..
"Come on Nya I bet you look great let me see." Maya smiled as she waited for Nya to finish getting dressed.
"Okay but don't laugh and tell me the truth." Nya says nervous as she comes out.
Nya was wearing a long sea blue dress with butterfly sleeves, a sky blue strap that went down the middle and ruffled at the bottom. A pearl wrapped around her chest, pearl clips on the sides of her hairs, a necklace, and earrings. She wore black flats and finally white gloves with blue wristbands with pearls around them.
"You look amazing Nya!" Maya gushes.
"Really?" Nya flushed.
"Jay is going to faint at the sight of you." Maya chuckles.
"I said not to laugh." Nya flushes harder.
"I'm not laughing at you, I'm lying at Jay's reaction." Mya smirks.
"Maybe I should wear something else." Nya looks down.
"No way that dress is perfect we are getting it." Maya drags her to pay.
"But Maya…" Nya starts.
"But are for sitting, as Sensei says." Maya chuckles.
With Zane and Wu….
Wu looked on wide eyed at what he was seeing and then back and Zane and then back at the case of rings he was staring at.
"Zane are you sure? I thought you said you where not ready. That you wanted to wait till Garmadon was defeated?" Wu looked on confused.
Zane sighed and said "I have recently heard that usually a man knows if he wants to be married to a woman within a year of dating. Maya and I have dated for quite sometime and know each other for a while as well. Almost a year has passed since we met. Father…I know I wanted to wait but, Garmadon I will never know when he will be defeat and I do not wish to surround my life on that. I know a have a duty but I also have a purpose, and it's not just to protect those who cannot protect themselves." Zane took a breath at this.
"And that purpose is to love Maya. I know the battle to come will be fierce and dangerous. And I want to have something help me come home to. I know I have you, Lloyd, my brother, and Maya. But I want something else. Something that will make me truly promise to survive. I want to come back to be with Maya weather we have bean married yet or not by then." Zane looked down at the ring with determination.
"I love her sensei. And I want to honor that love." Zane smiled slightly.
Wu smiled at this and held his shoulder and said "Then I can think of no better reason then that. Hmm how about something with small. She does not seem to like wearing very big objects."
"No she finds them uncomfortable. I also know she prefers silver to gold." Zane looked at the rings with a smile, glad his adopted father approved.
"How about an inscription. I heard those are popular these days." Wu thinks of something he heard once.
"That would be perfect father." Zane looked on excited.
With that they talked wring and even talked to the person working at the stand. Lets just say there were some very love struck women at Zane's careful nature in finding a ring. Making him remind them over and over that he already had a true love.
With the girls….
After Nya got her dress it was time for Maya.
"Okay I think this is the one." Maya said with excitement.
"Well let's see it." Said Nya excited.
Maya walked out and Nya gasped and smiled "Maya you look beautiful."
Maya wore a lavender long dress, with lilac cloth over it accept the middle in a pyramid like style, but fitting to her body. The chest was lavender with a sweat heart neckline and scarf like look with a lilac heart in the middle. She wore long lilac sleeve with lavender sakura bracelets and earrings. A lavender sakura in her hair. And black flats.
"Really." Maya flushes as she looked at herself, 'I do look beautiful. Is that really me.'
"Jay's not the only who's going to faint." Nya chuckles.
"Really, I really want him to like it. I just. I don't know. The more time we've spent together the more we've learned of each other and learned how to better control ourselves when angry. I just, I feel our relationship is changing into something stronger." Maya looks down flushed.
"I think someone's hearing wedding bells." Nya smirks.
Maya flushes "Gaps, well maybe, but I'm not sure. I want to be with Zane but….I don't know how he feels yet."
"Maybe you should talk to him." Nya looks on consulting.
"Maybe at a later time. I mean he already has to think about defeating Garmadon and keeping the city safe….."
"So do you and you guys deserve to be happy." Nya comes up to her and pat her shoulder.
"I guess we do. I guess when I feel ready I'll talk to him on it." Maya smiles.
"That's all I ask. Now lets get this payed." Nya smirks.
Maya nods and they head off.
Back with Wu and Zane…
Zane was looking at the ring the he had bought. It was a silver wing with a lavender little sakura in the middle and a white diamond in the center of that. Inscribed inside was 'Maya, my love, my everlasting.'
"It's perfect Zane." Wu smiled.
"Almost." Zane smiled as he touched his finger to the rims of the petals and they frosted over.
"Your own special touch I see." Wu smirks.
"It is more then that sensei. This ice will never melt unless something where to happen to me." Zane smiled seriously.
"Why would you do that Zane?" Wu looked surprised.
"So that no matter where I am, if we get separate or anything. Maya can know I am alright." Zane smiled kindly at the thought.
Wu smiled kindly as well and said "That is a very considerate gift. I think it's a perfect touch."
"Thank you father." Zane then puts the ring in a lilac box and puts it in his pocket so now one saw.
"Hey you guys done. We got the comics and Cole practically bought out a whole cake store." Jay chuckled as he and Lloyd walked over with some comics.
"Yes, we are ready to go. Where are the girls?" Zane looks curios.
"Waiting at the front. They sure took a while to choose. I wonder what they'll look like at the party." Jay couldn't help but imagine Nya in a dress as Wu and Zane laughed while Lloyd rolled his eyes.
Later at the bounty…..
Zane was pacing back and forth in his tux, the others still getting ready as he tried to think about the best way to propose to Maya.
"Wough Zane chill. If you keep walking like that your wrinkle up your suite." Kai warned.
"I am sorry there is just a lot on my mind." Zane sighs.
"It's just a party Zane chill, sure we have to behave, but other than that, nothing to sweat about." Cole shrugs.
"The party is not what is making me so nervous." Zane puts his hand in his front pocket and feels the box.
"If it's seeing Maya in a new dress, I get it. I'm nervous about seeing Nya in a ball gown." Jay shivers.
Kai glares at him and Jay chuckles nervously as he steps back.
"While I am nervous and excited to see her in a ball gown. That is not my main concern." Zane sighs.
"Then what is it Frosty?" Cole raised a brow.
"Yeah you can tell us anything." Kai patted his shoulder.
"I know I can trust you all, but I also know that one of you all tends to let out sensitive information." At that Zane and the other looked at Jay.
"Hey I know how to keep a secret especially really important ones. I promise I will not say a word about whatever it is you want to talk about." Jay puts an arm up and a hand to his chest.
Zane sighs and says "Okay, but you all must keep this a secret. And perhaps help me figure out how to handle this."
"Sure Zane, what do you need help with?" Kai smiles.
Zane sighs bringing the box out "I am going to propose to Maya." He then shows the ring and says "But I am uncertain on how to ask her."
The guys looked shocked and then cheared Zane hushed them "Do not let them hear you remember Maya's panther senses."
They all quit at this but said in excited whispers "Oh man congrats Zane." Kai smiles.
"Yeah about time." Cole smirks.
"But didn't you two want to wait?" Jay is happy but confused.
Zane sighs and tells them what he told Wu.
"I guess that does make sense. Okay Zane listen to me. Now when you propose you have to be suave. When you see her go 'Hey Maya, we've bean together a long time girl, and that's why, with everything we've been through I want you to give me the honor of marrying you.'" Kai gets on one knee to show off.
Zane frowns and says "I do not think she would appreciate that."
"Don't listen to Kai he's a total flirt and that means trouble." Jay frowns.
"Yeah and in a way that kind of sounds like what human Skales and Fake Zane would say." Cole raises a brow hearing the stories form Maya.
Kai flushes and says "Yeah never mind that might lead to her getting suspicious and punching you."
"Maybe something quite would be better." Zane sighs.
"Or you could sweep her off her feet." Cole smirks.
They all looked at Cole surprised. "Zane remembered when we went out to eat and you and Maya danced at that restaurant."
Zane smiled fondly "Yes, it was one of our earliest dates."
"Okay when the band starts up a romantic song, take Maya out to the dance floor and dance like you did back then. But instead of a sweep and kiss, get on one foot and propose." Coles smiles arms crossed. Very proud of himself.
The other looked on slacked jawed as he glared and said "Hey I know this stuff okay my father is a dancer."
"Yeah it's just still weird hearing it come from you." Kai smirks.
"Still it's perfect." Jay smiles.
"Yes it is, what better way to show Maya I am serous then to show her in front of all of Ninjago." Zane smiled.
Jay thought of something then 'But if she says no…' Kai seemed to see that and shook his head. Jay stopped himself. He guessed it wouldn't be so bad. It be really weird if Maya did say no.
With the girls….
Maya applied some sakura lipstick and lavender eyeshadow. Once down she couldn't help but frown.
"What's wrong, don't like your make ups." Nya looked on worried with red lipstick and blue eyeshadow.
"No I just, ever since we got back, Zane bean kind of avoiding me." Maya frowns worried.
"He's probably worried about tonight. He's not used to being around so many people." Nya tries to help.
"Maybe, oh in that case I could steal him away into the gardens. That might be more romantic." Maya chuckles.
Nya chuckles as well and says "Sounds romantic, wish I thought of it."
"I'm sure here plenty of room for us to have our own spots." May smiles.
"Maybe, but just loves the limelight and the attention so that might be a bit hard." Nya sighs.
"Then maybe force him to dance with you as much as possible." May smirks.
"Maybe, I've never really danced before but it be fun to try. Maybe I can get him to go to lesson with me at some point." Nya thinks.
"Oh, Zane and I should try that as well. We're kind of running out of fun things to do." Maya sighs.
"Yeah that can be a pain I suppose. Though form what I heard you two don't need the classes, maybe instead you should compet." Nya smiles.
"Maybe when Garmadon is defeated we'll think about it." The two laugh at that and finish getting ready.
Once everyone was finished, the boys waited at the top of the deck for the girls to come out. Lloyd still didn't like the suite and Wu had to keep him from ruffling it, but Kai helped him but loosening up his tie a bit and at least letting him have his usual hair style. Wu sighed at this but let it be.
Finally the girls came out and well, let's just say the added affects of the full moon and stars gave the girls a very nice glow.
Jay felt like jello and had to be caught by Cole who laughed saying "Come on motor mouth, get on your feat." Cole shoves him up as he's thrown towards Nya.
"H..i..i Nya. You look, wow." Jay just looked one dumb struck.
Nya chuckled and said "Thanks you look really good too. Ready to go."
Jay just nodded quickly as he pulled his arm out. Kai then made the 'I'm watching you' motion and Jay gulped as Nya glared at her brother who just shrugged.
Zane had frozen to his spot as he became as red as Kai's gi and his eyes widened. May could almost swear his eyes glowed from the moon.
'He looks so handsome.' Maya smiles as she walks up and kisses him.
"Gasp, Maya, you are a vison." He grabs both her hands and smiles tenderly.
Maya flushes and says "And you are a prince in white. My love."
Kai, Cole, and Lloyd all bla at tis but Wu glares and they look away.
"My love?" Zane looks surprised but happy.
"If I am you're then you are mine." Maya smiles shyly.
Zane nodded tenderly as he held his arm out for her to grab and they where off.
Once at city hall and at the red carpet all the ninja could do was say "Wo." It was amazing, several famous actors, singers, and politicians, and other people where there.
"Everyone's here!" Jay said excited.
"Hopefully not everyone." Maya sniffed the air but couldn't detect a scent in this crows.
"Just relax Maya, they got security detail around, Garmadon wouldn't be dumb enough to do something here or the snakes." Kai smiles.
"Do not throw caution to the wind my students. We never know when it will save us." Wu reminded.
"yes sensei." They agrees.
"But for now, let us enjoy ourselves." Wu smiles and they all nodded with smiles of their own and headed in.
As they walked down Jay loved waving at the people and cameras, Nya shook her head at this but was surprised to see many girls asking for her autograph, saying she was an inspiration to them.
Kai loved posing for the pictures as well and showing off his powers, but he extremely loved the girls giving him attention. Cole just waves some and answered a few questions here and there.
Lloyd looked around wide eyed and waved shyly at some people who talked about how adorable he was as Wu nodded to some other and even bowed to some other fighting master that where there.
Zane nodded properly to the people as they walked by as Maya looked around in shocked, the light irritating her a bit. Some people asked for autographs and they both felt strange at this but agreed. They even posed for some pictures and answered a few questions.
Maya especially loved the ones from the kids and the crowed seemed to adore this. Manny scientist seemed interested in Zane as his past had bean leaked when Zane donated his blueprints to scientist saying 'I do not wish my fathers work to go to be forgotten.'
The only problem that happened was near the end of the walk when the two where suddnely stopped by a reporter.
"Zane, hello. It's Gale Gossip. You saved me from some snakes a few weeks ago." She looked on with fan girl eyes.
Maya frowned, she hated to admit it, but she didn't like these girls fawning over Zane.
Zane thought a moment and said "I remember now Ms. Gossip. I am glad to see you are over your ordeal." Zane nods.
"Oh thank you, you are so polite. So, I see you have a date to the ball. Who is she?" Gale said as if she rally didn't know who May was.
May frowned 'Really?'
"This is Maya the panther ninja. She has bean part of our team since the beginning." Zane explains with a smile.
Maya smiles as well and was going to say something when…
"And you decided to be her escort. What a gentleman." Gale smiles a little too sweetly.
'Can I claw her, no, no, best behavior.' Maya tries to keep a smile.
"Actually, Maya and I are together." Zane puffs his chest our proudly.
"Oh really, is this recent?" Gales messes with her glasses, trying to keep a strait face.
Maya finally speaks "No actually we've bean together for several months now and before then we were quite close as teammates."
"Oh really, I bet a lot of women are heartbroken about that." Gale starts almost frowning.
Maya wanted to leave but Zane says "If I have given anyone the wrong idea I apologize. But Maya is my love and I could not do what I do without her, I do not think I could love another." Zane then pecks Maya lips and she smiles.
Gale finally seemed to have enough and left the camara man giving them a thumbs up and mouthing 'Got it.'
"What was that about?" Maya smiles with a raised brow.
"I sensed the tension and decided it be best that everyone knows who I chose to be with." Zane holds her close.
"Okay you are officially the best boyfriend ever." Maya chuckles.
"There is truly a title like that?" Zane raises his brow.
"Only to each girls heart." Maya smirks.
"Then I am glad I am yours." Zane smiles as they finally head in.
Once they are all in the mayor, a red headed woman mixed skin and a fancy black dress came up and said "Ninja it's so nice to meet you. I'm so honored you could make it." She smiles.
"We are the ones honored you invited us." Wu nods.
"Are you kidding, after everything you've done for this city and the publicity you've brought to it. How could I not invite you. Please I have a special table for you all." The mayor leads them in everyone oohing and awing at the things they saw, Maya, Cole, and Lloyd especially drooled a the large chocolate fountain.
Outside…..
A very long limo with lot of body guard came out and one of them opened the back door and a slick looking man with a black suite and dark purple tie came out. He had dark brown hair slicked back and dark glasses on. People noticed him and wondered who he was but as he walked down he didn't say a word to anyone.
As he came to the entrance a guard asked "Invitation please."
The man gave it to the guard who said "Right this way Mr. Gram Montgomery."
The said man smiled everyone just missing the sharp teeth.
With the ninja…..
The ninja where seated at a table close to the mayors and Maya looked around excited 'This is amazing, I don't know what I want to do first.'
Zane could sense her excitement and said "You can't wait to get out there."
"Yeah. But first I want to try that fountain." Maya looked over beggingly at the choclat fountain.
Zane chuckled and said "Of course, let us go try some." With that they headed off.
Cole decided to fallow along with Lloyd. As they did that Kai looked over to see some girls giggling towards him and said "I'll see you all later. I'm goanna go and mingle." He fixes his hair a little and goes.
Nya rolls her eyes as Wu shakes his head.
"Hey um Nya, do you want to dance?" Jay smiles.
Nya smiled happily at this and nods. The two heading out.
Wu smiled at this and thought 'Aw to be young.' And just sat down enjoying some of the nice tea they had out for everyone.
Then a waiter came and said "A gift from the mayor." He brought out a black stoen bracelet with the Ninjago emblem on it.
"Oh, thank you, and give the mayor my thanks."
"Will do sir." The waiter walks off with a smirk.
Maya was in chocolate paradise, she had dipped almonds, marshmallows, and peppermint.
"It's all so good." Maya sighed.
Zane chuckled as he tried some of the sweet "You should leave room for dinner." He tended to reach for the peppermint.
"Sorry it's hard to resist." Maya flushes.
Then they saw Cole put a howl slice of Cake in the fountain, Lloyd looking on excited "I do not want to see how that blows up. Both with the cake and the sugar high." Maya sighs.
"Let them enjoy themselves tonight. Cole will take responsibility and so will father, let us just be together tonight." Zane held both her hands and she smiled glad he calmed her down.
"Okay I guess I can put everything off for one night." She smiled as they headed back to the table.
As Cole and Lloyd where about to grab the cake a waiter came up and said as he handed them bracelets "A gift from the mayor."
"Hey cool nice bracelets." Cole puts on the black stone bracelet with the Ninjago city emblem.
"Yeah they are. Hey mister do…." Before Lloyd could ask thought the man was gone.
"Were he go?" Lloyd looked around.
"Probably to go and give everyone else their gifts. Now come one we have a cake to try out." Cole got the cake on a plate and split it.
Lloyd smiled and nodded at this.
Meanwhile….
"And I said, you just got Kaid!" The said ninja called in a rockstar voice making the girls squeal.
"Excuse me sir, a present from the mayor." A waiter said.
"Oh thanks, goes great with my suite. Perks of being one of Ninjago's protectors." Kai winks making the girls all giggle.
At the dance floor…
Nya didn't know why but it seemed she had trouble dancing, Jay on the other hand, was a natural and go ta lot of attention.
"How do you do that?" Nya said surprised but happy for him.
"I think it may have something to do with my favorite game. Dancey Dance." Jay smiles.
"I should have known, you would learn anything if it meant beating a video game." Nya chuckles.
Jay flushes at that and then puts his hand out "Here I'll show you."
Nya nodded and the two then danced a little better together, flowing almost.
As they finished they bowed to each other than "Compliments of the mayor." A waiter said.
"Oh wow, we must of won a contest or something." Jay smiles as he put it on.
"I sure everyone's getting these." Nya puts her on as well.
"Not everyone." The waiter said as he walked of and in the shadows you could almost see his eyes glow.
Finally….
Maya and Zane decided to go to the garden for a bit. They talked about what they knew on them, their names, meanings, and even if they could be used for other things, then just decoration. It was always fun sharing knowledge like this.
This was one thing they could talk to each other about that the other didn't understand and but could always enjoy with each other. It was one of the things that always made them feel close.
Maya smiled and though 'This would be the perfect time.'
As they looked at some flowers Maya asked "Zane, I know I've sort of asked this before, but if where do you see yourself in the future?"
Zane looked over confuse then smiled "I see myself beside you."
Maya smiled and was about to ask more when "Complements of the mayor."
"Oh these are interesting." Maya put on the bracelet.
"Indeed it even has the cities emblem on it." Zane smiled as he admired the gift.
"Specially made just for you." The waiter bows then leaves.
As he left Maya wanted to continue, then a song stars "Maya would you like to dance." Zane puts his hand out.
Maya smiled "How can I say no Icy." She takes his hand and they head in.
As they do they begging to sway to the music.

They twisted and turned about to the song, letting it flow them around. Zane and Maya looked into each other eyes, thinking of the beginning of this adventures, the struggle's they face and where it led them to.
Zane discovering his past.
Maya finding her own worthy.
And in the end the both of them finding each other.

Zane knew he had a large responsibility as the green ninja, and in a way a he's seen as famous. But none of it would matter to him if he was alone. If he could not be with the one he loves.
Maya felt the same way, as she knew she had a destiny ahead of her that might keep them apart, one that was important and would give her a title of royalty but she didn't' care for it if she could not have her love.

As the song was coming to a close Zane said "Maya, there is something I have been thinking on and I wanted to ask you…."
Zane was about to reach into his pocket but suddenly the music was stopped and heard a scream.
They all looked to the stage to see the guards knocked out and a strange man holding the mayor.
"Hello Ninjago." Garmadon took of his glasses and suddenly it showed his true form.
"Did you miss me." Everyone screamed at this and tried to run but they were blocked by waiters and Garmadon's supposed guards who took off their ties and turned out to be serpentine.
The people all panicked and huddled together as the ninja all came together and took battle poses "What are you doing here Garmadon?" Kai pointed.
"What does it look like ninja, taking over Ninjago one city at a time." Garmadon smirked.
"Dad don't'do this." Lloyd begged.
"Sorry son, like I said. It's in my blood." Garmadon frowned but then said "Now Mayor if you please, the dead to the city."
"Not happening." She glared.
"May I remind you I have the mega weapon and if I so wish to I can turn you into something more complacent." Garmadon growled.
The mayor looked shocked but didn't budge.
"Hey back off Garmadon." Cole called as he tried to use his power but "Hey what's going on?"
The other tried to as well but noting happened and when Maya tried she was shocked "Maya!" Zane grabbed her as she panted.
"What was that?" Maya gasped.
Garmadon laughed "Those supposed gifts from the Mayor where actually from me. Their made of venge stone so you can't use your powers and since it doesn't affect the purple one I just added a shocker instead." He smiled cruelly.
"You monster." The Mayor glared.
The ninja tried to take them off, but they were stuck like glue. "They must of put some sort strong magnetic lock." Nya looked at the bracelet. Even if she didn't have powers it would jam her bracelet form calling her suite.
"Now that we have that settled. If you don't hand it over now Mayor. Your guest will be the ones to suffer." Garmadon glared.
"But even more will suffer if I give you the deed." The Mayor glared.
"True but do you want to be responsible for all these peoples deaths." Garmaond looked at the snakes who where ready to attack.
"You won't let you do this!" Maya calls.
Garmadon glared at her "Really, you can't use your powers, you have no weapons, and you still just won't give up."
"Like we haven't bean in this spot before." Kai scuffs.
"And ninja never give up." Zane stands by Maya as do the others.
"Urgh I've had just about enough of all of you. What do those monkey suites make you feel important. You know what. You want to dress like monkeys, lets see how you like being ones." Garmaodn aims the weoposn at them.
"No dad don't!" Lloyd called.
"I wish the ninja accept my son where turned into monkies." Garmadon shot at them and they all gasped but as the weapon tried to hit them. Maya's necklace glowed and suddenly a shield covered them.
"What, this again!" he growled.
As the light came down they all looked down shocked "Oh oh good we're not monkeys!" Jay said with relief.
"But how?" Kai asks.
"The necklace it is what bring balance to the weapons and it can also deflect their powers." Wu looks on amazed.
At that Maya got an idea 'Could it possibly destroy them?' She then looked about trying to figure out how to get close.
They were all surrounded and there were hostages. But there was one good thing 'Garmadon's week right now.'
"Everyone he's week and the serpentine, without their leaders they're nothing. Come on are we going to sit her and let him bully us around!" Maya shouted.
At that everyone started talking "No don't listen to her she's just pesky girl."
Maya glared "Yeah I am a pesky girl, without my powers that might be all I am but I'm still not willing to let my home be taking over by a monster like you!" she pointed.
"I agreed, I am supposed to protect this land and even without my powers I shall do that." Zane came up.
"I'm not standing around." Kai called.
"Neither am I." Nya added.
"And I'm sure not backing down." Jay smirks.
"And I was taught never to stand aside when a bully was threatening everyone. So I'm in." Cole smiles arms crossed.
"Me too!" Lloyd jumps arm up.
Everyone got louder at this and seemed to glare at the snakes who were a bit uncertain.
"Um sir…" one snake called.
Garmadon looked around, he wasn't expecting this. "No, no, you call cant fight back, we're stronger, we have the weapon, we have the power…..OW."
The mayor had had enough and stomped on Garmadon's foot with her heel "You have nothing, Ninjago fight for you home!" she calls.
Everyone cheered and started to fight the snakes. The ninja smile and join in, even if they can't use their powers they could still fight.
Kai grabbed a bunch of food and slung it at some snakes, several of the fan girls saw this and fallowed his lead.
Nya grabbed some silverware and was attacking any snake she could, people taking her lead.
Cole grabbed the chocolate fountain and said "I hate to do this but…" he tossed it at some snake who ran around and fell form the sticky goo.
Wu and Lloyd helped many of the people who couldn't fight to safety. A man in a wheelchair was beign cornered when Wu walked them and Lloyd grabbed the man and helped him to an exit "Oh thank you young man."
"No problem um…" Lloyd said unsure.
"Cyrus Borg. I'll be sure to remember you." Cyrus smiled as he's carted off by some people helping others escape.
Jay started dancing about other peoples doing the same to confused, the snake but he was tripped and one was going to bite him when a man with sleep black hair and mustache hit the snake over the head.
Jay looked up to thank the man but got star struck "Cliff Gordan, the man who plays Ritz Donegan. I'm your biggest fan!" Jay jumps.
"And I'm your's blue ninja." Ritz said in a melancholy way, Jay was confused and was going to ask why but didn't get the chance as they had to keep fighting.
Meanwhile…..
Zane and Maya where rushing at Garmadon who was trying to escape.
"Maya are you sure, the final battle could commence?" Zane looked worried at her.
"Zane I may be the only who can destroy the mega weapon." Maya looks on determined.
Zane looked shocked "What do you mean…." Then he saw he necklace glowing "Of course, if it can bring balance…."
"It can destroy it." Maya nods and they rush.
They ended up in the garden, Garmadon hiding in the shadows and ready to hit one of them with the weapon.
Zane sensed Maya bout to be hit and pushed her out of the way, the two glared as he ran and then cornered him by some bushes.
"No I won't let it end like this." Garmadon took a fighting stance and growled.
Maya stepped up and glared as she did something unexpected, she took of her necklace and said "You wanted this so bad. Well take it!" Maya shouted as she charged at the weapon and striked it with the necklace.
The weapon begins to glow and is about to blow, Zane tries to grab Maya but "I can't, if I let go the power won't work if I do."
"No Maya!" Zane looked shocked.
Maya was about to shove him away but instead he held her tight and a bright flash of green light engulfed them.
At that a small explosion occurred, Garmadone had disappeared, most likely running when he saw he had failed. And Zane and Maya…
The other had heard the explosion and came rushing out after the snakes ran off.
"What happened?" Kai looked around.
"Where are Zane and Maya?" Lloyd looked around.
"They must of gone after Garamond." Wu looked to where the explosion came, smoke was filling the air there and they all rushed over.
Once they're they all gasped what they saw shocked them. It was Zane, he was translucent in a green ball of energy, but not just him. Maya was in a purple translucent grow lint eh green energy and the two where kissing. Maya still holding the necklace in hand as it glowed. Then the two fell unconscious.
They all rushed up and asked "Are you okay, what happened, what was that?"
Zane woke up and said "I think I unleashed my second true potential." Zane said shocked.
"And I think I've learned to unlock the necklace." Maya looked at it in shock.
"What happened?" Wu asked.
Maya started the story and telling them her idea and how she went after Garmadon, Zane helping, but that she couldn't escape the explosion.
"I tried to push Zane away so he be okay but…." Maya looked at him shocked.
"I couldn't allow that. I realized at that moment I do anything for Maya, so I held her in my arms just wishing I could protect her from the blow. And suddenly I felt an amazing amount of energy." Zane looked at his hands.
"I felt the same. The necklace seemed to react to Zane's power, and all I could think of was that I didn't want him hurt and then it mixed into the field. Somehow it destroyed the weapon and protected us at the same time." Maya looked down at the necklace shocked.
"It seems there are secret even we do not know of the necklace yet. But one thing is for certain. The panther and green ninja are strongest together." Wu smiled.
They all agreed on that and congratulated them for destroying the mega weapon.
They smiled at this, glad to of finally got rid of one problem. Then Zane looked around and thought 'It is not how I wanted to propose but in this spot we both found out how truly important we are to each other.'
Zane smiled and saw everyone about to leave but said "Everyone one wait."
They all looked back shocked and then Zane looked at Maya tenderly and said "Maya, I don't know what will come next, or when the final battel will be. But I do know is that I want you in my life, forever if possible. That's why if you will have me…." Zane got on one knee at that.
Nay gasped, Lloyd looked shocked, and Wu looked proud while his brother smiled.
"Maya, in this spot we found how truly connected we are and now I know that I cannot be without you. Maya will you marry me and let us be one." Zane smiled with all the love in his yes.
Maya gasped and then yelled "Yes!" she launched on top of Zane and kissed him hard.
"EW!" Lloyd shouted as the others laughed. It looked like there where many changes to come to their lives, but much more then they ever expected.
In a tree nearby Misako smiled as the man next to her looked on in shock.
"You heard as well as I did. We can't separate them now." Misako smiled.
"No, we can't." the man walked off. Misako smiled, hoping that meant she had won.
But what no one knew was that someone was planning on revenge and the only way he could do that was "Panther island. I'll get there and I will get stronger."
