What the hell is wrong with you people? I worked hard on my last chapter trying to make it different from the actual Gundam Seed Canon with RWBY material and I get only one review! Granted it's from the guy who gave me this challenge, but if I don't get any more reviews before I reach the start of the Gundam version of Volume 3, I'm putting this story on the back burner.
So, let me clarify somethings. The group that was founded by Weiss's ancestor was called the Dark Axis. Their goal was to wipe out the Faunus and aren't ruled by machines.
Second, Jaune is going to keep the Narrative Gundam while the Phenex is closer than you all might think. Won't tell you where, but its close. As for the Banshee Gundam, I'm still trying to figure out who should get it.
I think that's everything I have to say, let's get onto the review.
SaurusRock625/Marka Ragnos 629: Illia is indeed a double agent, as I mentioned last chapter, she has a different view on humans thanks to the Roughnecks and Gjallarhorn. As for Adam being ousted as a traitor. Sorry, but that's not true. Adam's role in the story is sort of a combined one with Patrick Zala's ideology that the Faunus are superior to humans and Rau Le Creuset in terms of the mobile suits he pilots. But he is no means trying to destroy both sides.
Nothing else to say aside from that Disclaimers are the same as before. Please enjoy.
Chapter 30: The Next Step
The aftermath of JOSH-A proved to Sienna that Adam was out of control. Her plans for the White Fang focused more on proving to the Humans that the Faunus were not animals like what the people have been led to believe by the likes of Frozen Talon and many other groups. Her plans called for attacking Frozen Talon facilities, exposing their supporters and defeating the terrorist group, protecting settlements from both the Dark Army, Grimm and Frozen Talon, to prove that the White Fang was determined to fight against an enemy that both they and the humans shared.
But now, those plans were in shambles. Adam had disobeyed her orders and attacked the military and by extension the kingdoms themselves. She made it clear after the first violent action the group took when she was first made the new high leader which resulted in numerous lives both human and Faunus being killed. Among them was the pilot of the Vual Gundam who saved her life.
Even before she assigned Illia to spy on Adam, she had been informed ahead of time that Adam was working with several humans, humans who that no one knew anything about. She knew one of the humans he was working with was Roman Torchwick, who was captured during the failed attempt to lure the Grimm into Vale and have them cause havoc amongst the population, following the Dark Army attacking the city following the Grimm attack. Something about this didn't sit right with her. Vale was known to be a peaceful city where both humans and Faunus were making the attempt to live together in the kingdom, despite a few 'problem's involving the Seiran's and their attempts to both remove the Faunus and Coordinators from the city and bring in the Atlas military and PMC Trust to protect the city and festival.
The Seiran's were known to have an immense dislike for her kind and Coordinators and that made her all the more concerned, seeing as the youngest Seiran was put into the council replacing Councilmen Winchester after he was accused of supporting Frozen Talon. Even if she hadn't met the man, she knew that the Winchesters were trying to make the kingdom a better place for all people regardless of whether they were Faunus, Coordinator or Human.
Presently, Sienna had arrived at Adam's FOB where the remainder of his forces were trying to assess the loses, they incurred at JOSH-A "What in the hell you were thinking Adam!?" Sienna snarled as Adam stood before her kneeling in a sign of respect to his leader.
"I was trying to follow your example, high leader. That strength makes right." Adam answered.
"And since when does my example mean attacking the military?" Sienna asked. "I've vowed to never attack the kingdoms or the military unless we had concrete proof that there are Frozen Talon members in the military. Our enemy is and always has been Frozen Talon, the Grimm and Dark Army or have you forgotten? Ironwood, Halberton, Adams, Smirnov and Elion. They have supported our desire for equal rights for years and now you have launched a full-scale attack on the Kingdoms and military. Do you truly desire a war against the Humans?"
"High Leader Khan, you do not understand. Our efforts thus far have only given us very few victories against our enemies. If we are to win, we must attack now and prove to the humans that we are the dominate species of Remnant. Humans should fear and serve us, instead they take advantage of us and use Gundam's to oppress us." Adam countered.
"A Gundam is a tool to defeat oppressors and those threaten the world. The Gundam Throne Units, Epyon and those who use the name Gundam for evil are the enemy. The late pilot of the Strike was someone who fought for all of us, regardless of us being humans, faunus or coordinator. To be given a Gundam means you are willing to protect the people. If you think I would give you the Gaia Gundam, you are mistaken." Sienna countered back.
"You're a fool, Sienna! Your weak-minded ideals are driving the White Fang to the ground! We must show the human's that their time is over. Every single human will either submit or die at the hands of their true masters." Adam declared.
"ENOUGH!" Sienna shouted. "I will not tolerate these talks of war. Especially since you seem so eager to kill not just solders but civilians as well. I will not allow it. I am the leader of the White Fang and I will stand by my beliefs. We will not start a war with the humans."
As she turned her back, she stopped a few paces. "You know, it was humans who saved my life when my parents were killed. I used to hate humans, but when I got to know them, I realized that not all humans are the enemy. Especially when they became like a second family to me." She said with genuine feelings. Adam scoffed at her words as he later watched the Gaia leave the base.
"She's not wrong, brother. We can't win a war with the humans, not after this." One of Adam's followers said. "But we should pay the humans back for what they did to our brothers and sisters at JOSH-A." the follower added.
"And we will." Adam said in agreement.
While Adam and his followers were planning their revenge, the five ships that escaped from JOSH-A had stopped by a small pair of islands where the Freedom, Justice, Wing-Zero, Winged Gundam and the four other Gundam's had landed while the pilot of a damaged GINN was being treated by a medic. The pilot would have died from the Cyclops System had the Freedom not been quick enough to grab the GINN before it fell into the sea.
The pilot had a bit of shrapnel lodged in their body, but the medic was able to remove it and the pilot of the damaged machine looked to Robert. "Why did you save me? You're the Demon Lord, aren't you?" the pilot asked.
"Because it was something I wanted to do. I may be the Demon Lord, but I wasn't going to leave you to die. It was the right thing to do, it's what my father would do." Robert answered. The pilot of the GINN smiled upon realizing that humans aren't all like what Adam and those who follow his beliefs said.
"You have a kind soul." The pilot said before the medics escorted the wounded Faunus to the Archangel before Robert soon headed back to the Freedom and his friends.
"Looks like we made it just in time." Robert said, breaking the silence especially after Nora started poking him to see if he was a ghost or not. "Ok, Nora could you please stop that. I'm not a ghost, if I was could I do this?" he asked and grabbed Nora by the arm and threw her to the ground.
"Ugh, ok its him alright." Nora groaned before getting back to her feet.
Shinn and Stella darted towards Robert, both trying their hardest to hold back the tears of joy coming into their eyes while Cody leapt up and tackled his owner to the ground, licking his face in joy. "Ok, boy. Its good to see you too." Robert said with a bit of laughter.
"Is it really you, Robert?" Murrue asked.
"Yeah, its me. I already did confirm it, didn't I?" Robert answered. "But I'm not the one you should be thanking for saving your butts. That honor belongs to Heero Yuy and the mystery pilot of the Winged Gundam." He added.
"I still can't believe that Wing-Zero actually exists." Ruby said in amazement, drooling over the sight of the famed Twin-Buster rifle. Once again, her fascination with weapons got the better of her and she wanted to get a better look.
"I would advise you not to go anywhere near Wing-Zero. You could accidently trigger the self-destruct mechanism." Heero advised the young leader.
"Listen to Heero, Ruby. He knows what he's talking about." The pilot of the Winged Gundam said. Just hearing the voice, Ruby felt like she knew who the pilot was and looked to the pilot. "Well, no more point in putting it off." The pilot said and removed their helmet. To Ruby and Yang's surprise, the pilot of the Winged Gundam was Summer Rose.
"MOM!" Ruby shouted and ran up to her mother, hugging her as tears of joy fell from her eyes. "I missed you."
Yang on the other hand was shocked for the lack of better words, the same thing applied for Ironwood who had met Summer a few times before and also thought she was dead like the rest of the world. "How are you still alive? I thought that…" Ironwood began before stopping himself from saying anything more.
"We can answer those questions later. But first, why don't you stop hiding, Neo." Summer called out. Everyone turned to see Neo walk out from behind a rock with a nervous look on her face as she slowly approached the group.
"Uh, Hi." She said. Almost immediately, all of the students and soldiers readied their weapons before Nicol, Yzak, Dearka, Robert and Halberton stood in front of Neo. "Look I get you all don't trust me after all I have done, but I've changed. I'm not the same person that I was when I was working with Torchwick. I'm my old self again. I'm not asking for your trust, so I'll earn it by my actions." She answered.
"I can vouch for her. I trust her after all, considering I am her boyfriend." Nicol added which made Neo blush at the last part. For a moment, it seemed that a fight was going to break out, especially considering that Yang had a score to settle with Neo, but thankfully a fight didn't occur.
Lowering his weapon, Arthur spoke up. "If our leader is willing to trust her, then I will trust his judgement."
"I concur." Hanzo added.
"I'm going to side with the others on this one. If she says she'll prove herself by her actions, then that's good enough for me. Especially considering that she and that machine of hers has more firepower than a bucking bronco in a bar fight." Tammy added.
"Speaking of those machines, what should we do with them?" Mu asked.
"If you are talking about resupplying and maintance there's no need for that right now. That's because both machines are equipped with a Dust/Fission Reactor." Robert answered.
"Dust/Fission? But that's supposed to be impossible! My father and grandfather tried that and both failed! Who was able…?" Wiess asked in confusion.
"I'm not at liberty to say. All I can say is that the person who gave them to us is also the one Heero and the others are working with. It's also possible that they are the one who kept your mother safe for all these years. I won't betray their trust." Robert explained.
"Well, if that's the case then I guess that's good enough for me." Velvet said and looked to Robert with tears in her eyes. "I'm really glad you're alive." She added before hugging him.
"Same goes for us." Shinn said, speaking for both himself and Stella. "Next time you try to get killed, let me know about it so I can kick your ass and stop you from doing such a plan." The red eyed boy added, playfully punching Robert in the arm.
"I'll make a note of that." Robert said. He then turned to Nicol and the others. "I saw that you three were fighting to protect the Archangel and the other ships. I know you three fought with us when we rescued Flay, but why did you guys just suddenly change sides?" he asked.
"It's because that they are spies working for Sienna Khan." Halberton replied. This caused everyone to look in surprise at the Admiral's words. "Isn't that right, Mr. Joule?" he asked.
"You got that right. We were never allied with Adam or his mysterious allies to begin with. Sure, we may pilot the Duel, Buster and Blitz, but that's because Sienna gave us those machines as part of our cover." Yzak began. "Because of Adam's recent actions and theft of the G-Weapons, Sienna needed an extra pair of eyes to keep her informed of whatever Adam was planning and try to sabotage his plans as much as possible."
"Adam didn't like the idea of having humans working with him, but in time he learned to accept our help and primarily had us focus on 'fighting our own kind' as he put it. I guess he was hoping we would be killed in the suicide missions he sent us on against Frozen Talon. Bastard even tried to send us out against the kingdoms, but we always went after the real enemy." Dearka added.
"Every chance we got, we tried to get some of the Dust that Adam had stolen back to Vale because of all the recent robberies. Needless to say, he probably suspected us in the thefts but we kept our tracks covered to avoid being killed. He really hates humans, can't imagine why though." Nicol continued. Blake on the other hand, knew why Adam hated humanity so much.
"So, you guys were like double agents. That's cool, bet you guys met a lot of ladies." Neptune said. This earned him a smack on the head from Stella, which got a lot of the students to laugh. "OW! What was that for?"
"They weren't focused on meeting girls, you idiot! They had a mission to complete so meeting a girl was the last thing on their minds!" she snapped. "Plus, two of these pilots already have someone special."
"Sorry about him. He's… yeah he's dumb." Sun stated, much to Neptune's disappointment. This in turn got everyone to laugh again, especially after Cody bit Neptune in the butt getting the blue haired to boy to yell in pain and run around trying to get the dog off his butt.
Once Cody was removed from Neptune's butt, which required the blue haired boy to sit in a bucket of ice both the Freedom and Justice along with the other Gundam's were brought into the hanger of the Archangel and the Ptolemaios 2 arrived after hearing about JOSH-A from intercepted radio transmissions. "Are you telling me that the plan was to sacrifice the soldiers at the base, the students and ships just to wipe out the White Fang?" Robert asked.
"Sure, seems that way and they didn't bother to tell us. Then again, it was all Frozen Talons plan and those bastards don't seem to care about the rest of us." Mu replied.
"It's obvious that someone told them ahead of time about the White Fangs actual target. I'd wager that Sienna didn't know about Adam's real target until it was too late." Ironwood added.
"She only found out about the true target at the last minute. You should have seen her all pissed off that Adam made a really stupid mistake." Duo inputted. While his words weren't exactly what the others would use, they knew he was right.
"Someone must have encouraged him to target the base, knowing the Cyclops system was underneath the base and planned to kill two birds with one stone. But it still doesn't tell us who ordered the Cyclops system to be planted underneath the base without anyone knowing about it." Halberton stated.
"It's obvious someone must have helped them set up the system ahead of time in secret. A system that large obviously requires a lot people to set it up and lots of money to build the parts needed for it." Koopman, the new captain of the Kestrel III said as he entered the bridge of the Archangel. "Prior to being sent into the Jaws of Hell, I picked up some transmissions from JOSH-A to someone in Vale. And it gets better, the person sending the transmissions from Vale was someone on the council."
"It's got to be the Seirans! They would have more to gain by disgracing Ozpin for the deaths of his…" Todaka started before he realized something. "What if the Seirans are part of Frozen Talon and helped to build the Cyclops system beneath the base?"
"It does make sense. If Ozpin were to lose several teams of students due to a terrorist attack, it would cause the council to remove Ozpin from his position as headmaster of Beacon and allow one of the members of Frozen Talon to become the new headmaster. They would then be able to brainwash the students in the ideals of the terrorist group and obviously kill every single Faunus student, maybe even use some of the students as subjects for their 'Extended project'." Sergei said with disgust.
"Unless we have proof of the Seiran's ties to Frozen Talon then we would be called out as traitors to the kingdoms." Rommel added. "But I'm afraid we have another problem."
"Captain Rommel is correct. The ships were heavily damaged during the attack as were many of the mobile suits. If we were to set a course to Vale now, we wouldn't get far before being attacked by either Frozen Talon, the White Fang and Grimm. We'd end up joining those that died from the deception." Natarle added.
The others agreed with what she said and were almost at a loss for what they should do next until Duo spoke up. "We know a guy and his crew who'd be more than happy to help fix up the ships, even tune up the damaged mobile suits as well!"
"An associate of ours, the one who repairs our mobile suits when we need him too has a hidden base not far from here and its close to Vale. He has everything from tools and ammo to the armor used by the damaged machines." Quatre added.
Every single commanding officer on the bridge looked to each other in surprise. It seemed that these Gundam pilots and their allies were well supplied with the resources needed to repair all types of mobile suits. It did raise a number of concerns about where they got the supplies, but Quatre was quick to assure them that the supplies were gathered from both several people still loyal to his family in the company and from Frozen Talon stockpiles they raided on orders from Sienna.
"We don't have much of a choice." Colonel Adams stated. "It's like Natarle said, we won't last long with the damage done to the ships or the mobile suits onboard. You know this, James." He added.
"I'm not saying I'm against it. In fact, I completely agree." Ironwood answered before he turned to Heero. "You'll guide us to the facility, correct?" he asked.
"That's right." Heero answered.
"Very well then. Inform the crews of your ships and tell them we'll be moving out shortly. Have the crews work on repairing whatever machines they can, we'll need as much protecting as possible." He said to the other captains who saluted and immediately left the bridge and headed for their own ships.
Sometime later, all six ships had left the island and were now heading towards the facility with Wing-Zero leading them. The other Gundam pilots, who's machines didn't have the same flight capabilities as the Wing-Zero were stored in the hanger of the Archangel along with the Freedom, Justice, Winged, Deathscythe Hell, Sandrock, Heavyarms, Altron, Buster, Blitz and Duel the last three were undergoing resupplying and maintance.
As for the pilots, each of them went about their own business. All except Quatre who was in the mess hall when Weiss approached him. "It really is you, Quatre." Weiss said.
"It's been a long time. Hasn't it Weiss?" Quatre said. Wiess could barely hold back her tears and hugged him. "Guess you haven't forgotten about me after all. I've certainly not forgotten about you, especially your singing." He added with a smile.
"I can't believe I didn't realize it sooner. You're fighting style in a mobile suit should have told me you were alive. Why didn't you try and contact me? I thought you were really dead after your father was assassinated." Weiss said before removing herself from Quatre.
Before Quatre could answer, both he and Weiss heard the sound of a photo being taken and looked to see Yang standing in the doorway with her scroll out and a smile on her face. "Oh relax, Ice Queen. It's not like I am going to post this picture of you and your boyfriend to the kingdoms or anything." Yang joked.
"First off, stop calling me that! And second, Quatre isn't my boyfriend, he's an old friend from my childhood." Wiess exclaimed.
"She's not wrong. Weiss and I have been friends since we were both five years old. We've always seen each other at charity functions before my family's company was taken over by Frozen Talon and I was assumed dead. Lucky for me that Rashid and the rest of the Maganac Corps saved my life and took me under their protection otherwise I would have died." Quatre explained.
"Still, why didn't you tell us Wiess?" Yang asked.
"It's just like Blake when she didn't want anyone to know about her being a Faunus. I didn't want people to know. Besides, if Frozen Talon found out my connection with Quatre, they would come for me to try and draw him out." Weiss answered.
"She does have a point." Ruby said as she entered the mess hall with Summer behind her. "I mean, would we even believe her about being an acquaintance of someone famous like Quatre?" she added.
"You have a point." Weiss answered.
While three of the members of Team RWBY were talking in the mess hall, Blake looked at the Freedom and Justice in the hanger. It puzzled her as to why Sienna had these machines built when she wanted peace between the humans and faunus, it made her wonder if Sienna's goals were the same as Adam's. "I bet you're thinking that Sienna wants to start a war with the kingdoms." Robert said as he entered the hanger.
"And I assume you know her better?" Blake half snapped.
"I do actually know her." Robert answered and explained about Sienna's past and what happened to her parents. Needless to say, Blake was shocked at what she was told and had no idea about what happened to Sienna. Still, she was grateful that Robert, his father and sister were able to show Sienna that not all humans were like the ones who took her peaceful life away from her. "Sienna has always wanted to fight for what she believes in and when it comes to humans, she only targets those like Frozen Talon so as to avoid starting a war." he explained.
"I knew Sienna had a terrible past, but nothing like what you just told me." Blake said still trying to get over what she had just heard. "But I think I now I understand why Sienna always trained alone. She wanted to become stronger so nothing like that would happen to her again."
"People like Sutherland and Goodman are the real monsters. They think they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Those are the people the White Fang should be fighting against, not the people trying to make the world a better place. The SDCMS, Vale, Roughnecks, Gjallarhorn. They all want a world where we all can live peacefully together regardless of who or what they are. That's the way the world was before the dark war." Robert stated.
"War is a part of our history. People have been fighting since the dawn of time. Weapons evolve and become more powerful, making it more deadly and bloody then the last one. How can anyone wish to wage a war just because they hate certain types of people?" Blake asked.
"That is an age-old question, Miss Belladonna. Many people believe that those who are different from them should not be trusted and our evil. Those who believe they are right will do anything to achieve their objective, even if it means using innocent children as pawns. Wars are waged for numerous reasons, most often they are waged by those who wish to destroy and who wish to protect. But often, wars are started by people who make weapons and who do not wish for a peaceful world which will result in the loss of profits." Halberton stated as he and Adams walked into the hanger.
"What do you mean?" Blake asked.
"When wars break out, factories are spitting out newer and newer mobile suits and other weapons which make the companies who own those factories a hefty sum of lien for selling the equipment to those fighting a war. There's a group called Logos. A secret military industrial complex dating back from the time of the Great War. They would start small conflicts which would escalate into larger conflicts allowing them to sell their weapons to both sides of the war which in turn kept the war going and made them lots of money all through death." Adam's snarled. "Although this is only rumors and no one has any proof that they actually exist, pencil pushers like them only see the number of soldiers lost in battle as figures on paper which is a disgrace to the people fighting for a real purpose rather than money." He added.
"If they do exist, we have something that they fear. Gundam's. A Gundam, regardless of what its powered by, uses for armor or has for weapons is a symbol of freedom and hope to the people that there are those who will protect them from those who wish to harm them." Robert said. "That's what the Justice and Freedom were built for, to bring an end to people who crave war." he added. Blake looked to what the three said and wondered if Sienna knew about such a group.
In another part of the ship, Miriallia was looking at the last picture of her and Tolle when Neo walked in and saw the tears from Miriallia's eyes. "I'm sorry." Neo said, getting Miri to look at her. "I'm the one who killed your boyfriend. I was angry and thought that Robert had killed Nicol. I know my words can't bring him back and I really wish I could turn back time to stop myself from killing him, but I can't. I'll understand if you hate me, but Tolle wouldn't want you to stay angry all this time. I'm not going to ask for your forgiveness, so I'll earn it." She said sadly before leaving Miri alone with a lot of emotions flying through her head. First, she was starting to feel that she liked Dearka and now she heard from the person who killed her boyfriend that they were sorry. It was a lot for her to take in.
By now, dark clouds were starting to roll in over the ships as they continued on towards the secret facility used by Heero and his allies. As the rain started to pour down, the radars on the ships picked up several small objects traveling at high altitude. At first, they thought they were civilian airships, but it soon became clear that these ships were following them for quite some time. Not wanting to take any chances, Ironwood, Halberton, Adams and the other captains decided to send up the Freedom and Justice to investigate the vessels trailing them.
"Freedom to all ships. We've got sights on several EDI-40-II Laohu airships. They've failed to respond to our hails, requesting to go in for a closer look." Robert said over the radio. He got permission and while he went to check out the ships, Neo configured her beam rifle to sniper mode and kept her sights trained on the airships incase the crew of the ships tried anything funny. Deep inside, Neo felt something was wrong about the whole situation.
She wasn't the only one. Sumeragi and Kati were both getting the same feeling. "Freedom to all points, there are no pilots in the airships! I say again, there's no pilots in any of them!" Robert shouted.
"If there are no pilots in the transports then that means…" Kati began before she looked to Sumeragi and nodded. "Launch the Cherudim, Arios and Seravee immediately! Have Lieutenants Smirnov and Parfacy launch in their Veritechs immediately and tell Captain Aker to have the Over Flags to be ready for immediate take off. Contact the other ships and see if they can launch any units that have been repaired! Prepare for anti-air and anti-mobile suit combat!" she instructed. At first the bridge crew looked confused before Kati explained the situation to them. "Those transports are drone carriers. Laohu airships can carry up to five mobile suits in each of the modules, but if I'm right those carriers are full of automated mobile armors, drones, fighter pods and mobile doll units. The mobile armors and fighter pods can be stored much more easily since they take up less room, but that could mean we have more transports following us!"
She wasn't wrong. A flash of lighting did indeed prove that there were more Laohu's following them. First there were three, but now a total of eighteen unmanned airships now had the ships outnumbered and began to launch their fighter pods, mobile armors, MQ-99's, Taurus and Virgo mobile doll units while the ships below them launched the Saviour, Raptor, Cherudim, Arios, Seravee, Wing-Zero and Winged Gundam's along with the fully repaired Impulse equipped with the Blast Silhouette followed by the Galm Team while Wardog Squadron remained behind to protect the ships with the Heavyarms Custom, Heavyarms MK2, Duel, Buster and Blitz. Andrei and Marie soon followed suit with their Terminator and Flanker-D Veritechs and soon joined up with the Freedom and Justice as the enemy units opened fire.
(Faceless Soldier starts)
Ballistic and beam rounds along with missiles streaked towards the mobile suits heading to intercept the unmanned units but the rounds were dodged by the machines while the missiles were shot down by the Arios's GN Vulcans while the Cherudim fired its sniper rifle, taking out three mobile armors and two fighter pods. "I'm guessing that the ships are controlling the unmanned units?" Lock-on asked.
"That's confirmed. The ships are controlling the drones, fighter pods and mobile armors. The mobile suits are all being operated by the mobile doll system." Feldt confirmed.
"Mobile Dolls don't have the same innovation as us pilots. But they still can overpower us if we underestimate them. Once you hit one of them, stick to them like glue and don't lose focus." Summer reminded the rest of the pilots before she fired her buster rifle and took out a swarm of enemy machines with a single shot.
"That means no holding back." Tieria added, speaking mainly to Robert who confirmed that he was no longer going to fight to kill. A blast from all of the Seravee's cannons wiped out several Virgo's before they could deploy their Planet Defensor's. "Just because you're piloting a different mobile suit then the Strike, you can't hold back!"
"Cut him some slack, Tieria! He's not going to hold back against a bunch of unmanned machines!" Shinn countered, firing his beam rifle at several fighter of the fighter pods went down while the remaining two broke off before they were downed by the Raptors beam rifle. "Nice one, Stella." Shinn complemented before bringing both the Kerberos Beam Cannons and Deluge Railguns to bear on a group of Taurus's attempting to break through and hit the ships below. His shots hit the mobile dolls which were reduced to scrap.
Shinn was quick to scan for new targets when he spotted a formation of mobile armors heading for the Minerva. These mobile armors were loaded with anti-ship missiles and while the Minerva's remaining CIWS guns destroyed a few of the enemy units, the remaining mobile armors continued towards the ship getting closer and closer to firing range. "No, you don't." Shinn said and pushed his controls forwards and went after the enemy machines. He switched from his beam cannons to the missile launchers and once he was close enough, fired his missiles taking out the mobile armors but not before some of them launched a few anti-ship missiles. Thankfully, the missiles were shot down by the Duel and Shinn was able to breathe a sigh of relief that the ship was still intact.
Another blast from her buster rifle destroyed another dozen enemy unit's before Summer replaced the spent cartridge with a new one. Once the new cartridge was loaded, Summer took aim at one of the transports and fired her weapon at maximum power. A wide beam of one-hundred and fifty meters slammed into the transport, destroying it and the units it had just launched. "Nice one mom!" Ruby called over the radio. Summer just smiled before she dropped the buster rifle which was caught by the Justice and drew her beam saber before raising her shield to block a shot from a Virgo's beam cannon.
"You won't harm my daughters!" she declared and surged towards the Virgo that attacked her and slashed it right down the middle. Blasts from another Virgo's cannon hit her forcing her to raise her shield again. Being on the defensive, she was unable to prevent several other units from streaking past her towards the ships. Thankfully, a barge of fire from the Heavyarms Custom's and Heavyarms MK2's weapons were able to hit the ones she missed.
"Damn it! These bastards are pretty determined to take us down!" Dearka cursed and aimed his sniper rifle at one of the transports and destroyed it. While he destroyed the transport, some of the mobile armors, fighter pods and drones were able to hit the ships taking out some of their weapons. "Are they trying to keep us from getting back to the kingdom?"
"What do you think? If the Seirans are involved with Frozen Talon, then it's obvious that if any survivors return when they have said everyone was killed, they may end up being exposed!" Yzak snapped before he fired his railgun. "I'm going to make it back to Flay! I can't afford to die here!"
"No one's going to die here!" Allelujah said in agreement firing his GN Twin Beam Rifle in rapid bursts at several Virgo's. The Virgo's Defensor's were active, but the GN beam rounds went right through the barrier destroying the units before he drew one of his beam sabers and surged towards another group of Virgos. "We'll all make it through this together!" he added, slashing apart the enemy machines as another transport was destroyed.
(End song)
"Copy that, Arios!" Marie said and fired all her guns at a group of drones that crossed her path. A quick change from fighter mode to mobile suit mode allowed her to avoid a blast from a Taurus's beam rifle which she then destroyed with a slash from her beam saber. "Lieutenant Smirnov, enemy units on your tail!" she shouted.
Andrei knew this. Cannon fire from no more than a dozen fighter pods streaked past his cockpit and each time he tried to break off, the fighter pods followed him. "I'm not going to be out flown by a bunch of tin cans!" he snarled and slowed down. The fighter pods streaked past him before he downed half of them with a combination of guns and missiles. He then turned towards one of the transports and speed towards it, firing his gun pod directly at the cockpit. The cockpit of the unmanned transport exploded into flames followed by the rest of the machine. "There's too many of them! Colonel, can't the ships go any faster?!" he asked.
"The Ptolemaios can get away, but the others can't push the ships any faster. They're badly damaged and they could overheat at a moment's notice!" Kati answered.
"Just focus on protecting the ships as best as you can. Those transports control the drones, if you take them out it will eliminate the drones, fighter pods and mobile armors. That will leave us with only the mobile dolls to deal with!" Sergei added.

"Roger!" all of the pilots currently deployed shouted and continued to engage the enemy units. Galm team downed a formation of enemy units but had used the last of their ammo forcing them to return to the Kestrel III for resupply followed by Marie and Andrei to the Ptolemaios who needed to do the same thing.
"Have some of this you bastards!" Lockon shouted, firing the Cherudim's rifle in Vulcan mode downing numerous enemy machines before a blast from the Wing-Zero's Twin Buster rifle tore through a formation of enemy units and two of the enemy transports. Tieria followed suit with the Seravee's buster cannons while the Arios slashed apart several Virgo's with its beam sabers before they could even react. "Hey, Tieria you thinking it's time we go all out?" Lockon asked.
"Yes, it is. Trans-am, go!" Tieria shouted as the special feature of the GN series Gundam's activated. The Seravee, Arios and Cherudim soon started to emit GN particles which glowed red instead of the usual green. The three Gundam's than streaked towards a few of the other transports taking out anything that got in their path and destroyed the transports just as their machines were depleted of their remaining particles.
"Damn it. I really hate the time limit with Trans-am mode! Let's get back for a resupply!" Allelujah cursed and headed back for the Ptolemaios with the two other Meisters. They would have been sitting ducks had it not been for the timely assistance of the Buster, Duel and Blitz who shot down all of the machines following them.
"Damn, those guys really know how to kick some ass." Shinn said in awe as he brought the Impulse towards the Minerva as a Deuterion Beam from said ship resupplied his machine with power while the Force silhouette replaced the Blast silhouette. As he recharged several Taurus mobile dolls streaked towards the Minerva with the intent on taking out the Impulse. "Come on! Recharge faster!" Shinn shouted as his power level climbed higher and higher.
Thankfully, the Taurus mobile dolls were intercepted by the Freedom. "Leave my brother alone!" Robert shouted and fired his beam rifle at each of the mobile dolls destroying them with a burst of fire from the assault rifle mode of the beam rifle. He looked back and saw that Shinn was finished recharging and was back in the fight. The Galm team and Wardog squadron soon followed after him.
"Saviour, what's the status of the enemy units?" Robert asked Heine, raising his shield to block a blast from a pair of Virgos which were than destroyed by the Justice's beam cannons.
"Heero's taken out the last of the transports, but the enemy is showing no signs of letting up!" Heine called out. Looking up, Robert watched the Saviour fire a blast from its beam rifle before coming in for a recharge. A volley of missiles slammed into the Archangel from several fighter pods made Robert mentally curse himself before he changed to fighter mode and flew towards the units getting them to focus on him instead of the ships.
Pulling a corkscrew, the fighter pods went after the Freedom firing both their missiles and guns at the blue and white mobile suit. Pulling a series of evasive maneuvers, Robert zig-zagged through the blasts before he pulled a loop and got behind the enemy units where he joined the Justice, Impulse and Raptor in downing the enemy units with their guns.
Changing back to mobile suit mode, Robert and the others looked up as the last of the transports were destroyed by Heero. The drones and mobile armors fell to the water below, but the pods and dolls remained in the air.
Separating his primary weapon, Heero fired both rifles at full power destroying dozens of enemy units. Taking a cue from Heero, the Freedom and Justice stood back to back as did the Impulse and Raptor each of them having their ranged weapons at the ready. All four machines opened up with their weapons obliterating their foes with their firepower. Rifle, cannons and railgun rounds obliterated their enemies with pinpoint accuracy. "Shit there's just no end to them!" Shinn cursed.
"Hold up! I've got an idea!" Robert shouted and changed the Freedom back to fighter mode and sped away from the ships, making it look like he was retreating. "Come on you metalheads, take the bait!"
The enemy did indeed take the bait and immediately went after the Freedom. The fire from the enemy units was getting more and more accurate but the Freedom kept on course. "Wait for it, wait for it." Robert said to himself as the enemy got closer and closer to him. "Transform!" Robert shouted and configured the Freedom back to mobile suit mode while the units chasing him slammed into a cliff of a nearby island and exploded.
"Oldest trick in the book. Try and top that you metal heads!" Robert shouted in triumph before he was joined by the others. "Are we in the clear?" he asked.
"All enemy units destroyed. Heero and the others took care of the rest. Let's get back before we get ambushed again." Shinn stated. All four mobile suits then started to head back to the ships.
(End song)
Once they made it back to the ships, Heero flew ahead of them and drew one his beam sabers. "What's the matter Heero?" Stella asked.
"We've arrived." Heero answered. Everyone looked towards the wall of a different cliff which to their surprise opened up and revealed a large series of drydocks with workers lined up on the docks with tools ready to use. "Don't worry about a thing. Everyone here is sworn to secrecy about this facility. You could also say it's the birth place of the Gundam's." He added before bringing his machine into the facility. The ships followed suit and once they were all inside, the doors closed as if there wasn't even a hidden facility. Watching the ships enter was Mike Howard. A man with gray hair and brown eyes wearing a red shirt with green trees, sandals and a pair of shades, he smiled as the Wing Zero landed. "Alright boys, start unloading the damaged units from each of the ships and get to work upgrading and repairing them. Don't forget about the ships, we need them fixed up as well and don't mess with the two new mobile suits that Lady Khan told us about. Just load up the weapons and run systems checks." He ordered.
The workers, both human and faunus did just as they were instructed brought the damaged mobile suits from the ships to the once, they secured in the drydocks. As the students and soldiers exited the ships, Mike approached them. "The name's Mike Howard and welcome to Home One. That's what we call this place. I run this facility and I can assure you that we'll take good care of your machines and won't do anything to reduce the abilities of your machines. Especially the Gundam's." he said in a laid-back tone.
"It's good to see you still alive, Howard." Ironwood answered, holding out his hand which Mike shook. "I knew reports of your death were exaggerated." He added.
"Well when I saw the Tallgeese in action several months ago, I knew you'd mastered that machine. After all I did help design that machine." Howard answered.
"You didn't tell us you knew General Ironwood!" Duo asked in shock.
"You never asked Duo." Howard answered before he looked to Summer. "So, Summer what's your opinion on the Winged Gundam?" he asked.
"It's a good machine. The addition of the 120mm Vulcan in the buster rifle makes it a good mobile suit for air battles against those fighter pods. Though I do have to say, I do think it could fire more shots before I need to replace the current energy cartridge." She stated.
"I think we can work on that." Howard said with a smile before he turned around to Rashid who was walking towards the group. "Rashid, I'll leave the Sandrock MK2 in the hands of your group. You know that machine better than the rest of us." He explained.
"Right then." The Puma Faunus answered and relayed his instructions to his workers.
"I can't believe a place like this even exists. You guys must have everything for repairing any type of mobile suit." Yang said in awe while trying to hold back her sister by her hood and keep her from running off the look at the weapons.
"Well that's to be expected. You could say this is the place where the Gundam's were reborn after many years of sitting in silence. Howard and the scientists rebuilt and completely upgraded the original designs of the Gundam's and helped with the construction of the Wing-Zero. The secrets of the reactors are a secret so don't go asking about them." Heero answered.
"We've got everything to repair a basic Windam all the way to a Gundam Frame like the Barbatose." Howard added. "Now then, what's say we get you all something to eat and we'll start working on repairing the ships and mobile suits. Oh, and if it's alright with the General, I've got a favor to ask of you, but we'll discuss that later." He added.
Almost immediately, everyone's stomachs growled and it was obvious that they all wanted something to eat so they all headed for the mess hall in the base.
Unknown to anyone even Sienna herself, Adam was preparing to not only hit the humans hard for what happened at JOSH-A but was also planning to overthrow Sienna Khan and make himself the new leader of the White Fang.

Like the Gaia, Chao and Impulse, the Saviour is a member of the second stage series of mobile suits developed by ZAFT mobile suit research and development. The Saviour's transformation into a mobile armor allow it to engage enemy units in classic turn and burn dogfights against enemy aerial mobile suits or aircraft or in hit and run attacks. While it focuses more on speed, the Saviour has an impressive array of weapons in both beam and ballistic. Like the other three, it uses the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System which allows it to recharge its battery without needing to return to the ship it was launched from.
Done. Hope I surprised you with the identity of the new pilot of the Winged Gundam. Now, its time for certain students to get upgrades to their mobile suits. If you have an idea for an upgrade, give me the name of the mobile suit you want it for and I'll give it to the machine. Oh, and Barbatose is going to be upgraded to Barbatose Lupus.
Please read and review.
