Note: I do not own any of the character included. I'm sorry if this seems a bit rushed, I just really wanted to get something out and I'm losing inspiration for this fan fiction a little...
Chapter 21
Jason Todd/Robin (#2)
We were finally going to save Batgirl. Everything had seemed so perfect. But then I saw the screen. There were still probes. But apparently in the Junior Justice League.
"Dad! Look!" I attempted to keep my realization a whisper. He looked where I was pointing.
"Oh…. Don't worry, we can get the button away from him. He's outnumbered." Dad replied, putting a hand on my shoulder, "But we better start fighting now." I smiled back at him, knowing Batgirl would soon be safe.
Dad ran over, taking Deathstroke by surprise when he kicked him down. Deathstroke was quick to dust himself off, though, and punched Dad in the ribs. I ran over to help in the fight, and so did Dick.
We all began attacking Deathstroke at the same time. Even Deathstroke, despite being a great fighter, was overwhelmed. Dad pinned him to the ground in no time and grabbed the button that controlled the probes. He tossed it to the ground and stomped on it.
Batgirl ran over to us once the controller was broken. But just as that happened, Deathstroke got back up.
"Apprentice, attack!" He exclaimed. But she shook her head.
"There's no more probes. I'm not your apprentice anymore!" She kicked him down to the floor again, "And I will never fight on your side again."
Once she had gotten Deathstroke unconscious I hugged her, "You're back," I whispered into her ear. She smiled back at me.
"Yeah, I missed you. I'm so glad you're okay… I mean, with how I made you run away and all…." She looked down in shame. It was obvious she thought it was her fault. I felt horrible for making her think she had done something wrong. I was the one who had ran away, not her.
"I missed you, too…" I replied, "But you didn't make me run away. It was Deathstroke's fault for blackmailing you." I smiled at her, and she smiled back.
