It was raining yet again. Patrol couldn't be cancelled today, as they had skipped out on multiple days before. Here she was. Trying, and failing to stay warm and not get drenched in the heavy downpour.
'I wish I was at home right now,' she thought, as she walked on the streets, trying to stay under the awning. She would be up on the roofs right now, but then she would get soaked. She shivered. 'Just a few more streets,' she thought. 'Then I can take a break.'
When she reached the next street, she turned and next to her was Chat Noir, holding an electric green umbrella out to her. She rubbed her eyes, thinking that it was an illusion, but no. There he was, standing out in the rain for her and she couldn't be more thankful.
"Here. I saw you walking in the cold, so I brought you an umbrella." Chat Noir held it out invitingly.
Hesitantly, she reached for the umbrella, and it quickly switched hands. Images filled her head of another rainy day.
Reaching out for a black umbrella.
An electric shock.
The warmth.
There was a sudden darkness and she realized the umbrella closed on her. Was that laugh real, or was she imagining it?
Chat Noir laughed at the image and got a weird sense of déjà vu when she peeked from under the umbrella.
Ladybug was confused. The laugh couldn't possibly be the same. It was just wishful thinking, right?
Chat bid Ladybug a good night, and vanished into the dark streets. The only evidence of him being there, being the umbrella he left her.
She stood out in the rain for a few more minutes, comparing the details of the day when Adrien gave her an umbrella to now. She finally decided that it was a coincidence and went home.
It would not be until the next day when she makes the connection, and believes it.
Yay! Fluff! More chapters later. ;)
