The Dirty French
Steve arrived at the restaurant for his date tonight and he was nervous but looked forward to the date between himself and Betsy. The day before tonight's date, Betsy called him and told her ex-lover that she was off for the day so she wanted to go somewhere they haven't been to before. There was a new restaurant called The Dirty French and from what she looked up on the menu from the website, they had a lot of great choices. Steve didn't mind trying something new these days when it came to food, because for all of his years of staying in prison, the man had no choice but to eat the prison food and manage not to throw up since sometimes the food would be almost nasty and not well conditioned. As Steve waited, he looked at the clock and realized the time for both of them to be here, Steve started to have different thoughts. What if Betsy had cold feet and didn't want to go through another round of heartbreak? Does she still want Steve? Or did she have a boyfriend and didn't tell Steve the truth? Hearing the doors open, Steve smiled from seeing Betsy dressed from head to one in her own dress and smiled at the man, dressed in a suit and black slacks who started to stand up.
Steve - "Betsy...you made it"
Steve and Betsy kiss each other. Steve looked down at what she wore for tonight which was a beautiful red dress that clings, and screaming perfection in all the right places.
Betsy - "Of course I would Steve, did you think I was going to get cold feet and call it off? I mean we did plan this"
Steve - "Kind of...I just thought maybe because you're nervous about how this date was going to turn out to be"
Betsy - "Well we are here now Steve, let's enjoy our date tonight with no regrets and no turning back. I know what I want and it's to be with you"
Steve - "Same here Betsy but without prolonging things anymore, shall we go to our table first?"
Betsy - "I'm ready Steve, lets go"
Betsy and Steve walk up to one of the staffers at the front desk. The person welcomes the two before guiding them to their table as Steve pulls the chair out for Betsy who smiles, not surprised of what he just did. The man was always a gentlemen at heart on how he treated women who was family to him and to the woman who stole his heart for the better.
Steve - "Here you go"
Betsy - "Always the perfect gentlemen huh?"
Steve - "I never lost my touch, even when I was in prison I made sure others who didn't get a fair chance or needed help, got that chance"
Betsy - "Sounds like the man that I love who always believed in others like me when I had doubts of being a nurse or when my job wasn't worth it"
Steve - "Well you're the best nurse and the best doctor in Oakdale that this town has to offer but something like that sounds too favorable"
Betsy - * Grins* "Coming from you, I will take that anyway"
Steve chuckled a bit as the two of them sat down at their table. The person gives them two menus as Steve and Betsy take them before the guy leaves to get a waiter, looking at the menu themselves so they can see what they want to order.
Steve - "So, find anything interesting on the menu?"
Betsy - "I am interested in the Millefeuille and as for something to drink, I think I will try the Champou. How about you?"
Steve - "There's something called the Shrimp Remoulade on the menu so this is the one which has my attention"
Betsy - "How about something to drink?"
Steve - "Just a glass of water"
Betsy - "Something lighter?"
Steve - "Yes, I prefer that over any other kind of wine or something to drink. I am cutting back when it comes to my eating and drinking"
Betsy - "Oh? When did all of this take place?"
Steve - "When I left prison, coming back to the real world and seeing all the food that people have these days in stores, markers and other places, it's better to lessen the load of what you eat"
Betsy - "I don't blame you, I have nothing against food, it's just that sometimes food like bacon, beef, and all of that stuff has too many calories, too much fat, it doesn't mean I don't eat them. I like to have less portions of each"
Steve - "I'm kind of a portions guy myself Betsy, even some of the food I ate in the prison showed me how much health matters"
Betsy - "Well good for you, I hope that this time around things will get better down the line for us both. We deserve happiness"
Steve - "And hopefully, we can all be a family. How is Danni?"
Betsy - "Oh Danni? She's doing good and hanging in there these days, our little girl is making a difference in the law enforcement"
Steve - "She's in...law enforcement?"
Betsy nods and smiles. Steve was surprised to hear of what their daughter was doing. They, well Steve had no idea of what their daughter was capable of but at least she was making a difference.
Betsy - "Not quite but near it, she is more in complies crime statistics for the FBI and keeping track of everything"
Steve - "Wow...I am so impressed and proud of her"
The waiter came back to take their orders as the two tell the waiter what they wanted for drinks and even appetizers. Making sure that he got both of their orders, the waiter takes their menus before leaving. Sitting back Steve and Betsy smiled at each other before they looked around, being in this new atmosphere of a restaurant was bringing in the positive vibes and a good feeling for the two lovers. So far this date was going off with no big main issues. Betsy was glad that someone like Craig wasn't here to see them or he would of tried to bother them a little bit before Rosanna pulled him away. Betsy had the feeling Steve would never let Craig get to him like Montgomery did back then. Steve was too old to get into fights with his former enemies since he and Craig form a truce. Everyone in this town and in this world should be able to put their differences aside so that he or she can be better from the previous versions of themselves. Steve and Betsy couldn't imagine their daughter hating someone so much to commit heinous acts like Craig did. But then again, Danni didn't have the guidance of her father, only her mother which should have been enough, but it wasn't. There was time to undo more of Steve's wrong but he just wanted to have a good time with Betsy at the Dirty French for Oakdale.
Worldwide Industries
In her office at Worldwide Industries, Lily was done finishing her paperwork and all she had to do now was wait upon the man she was meeting tonight at the office of Paul Ryan. Looking at the clock, Lily sighed and almost wanted to get out of here so she can be with her husband and kids at the Snyder farm. But this meeting with Paul couldn't wait actually and it had to do with one man, Ripley Wells. After the double date at the Metro with Holden, Jack and Carly, Carly got a call from one of her contacts, including the man who works at the company in Dusty Donovan, that told him Paul had a lot of information on Wells, so Lilly made sure to get in touch with Paul. She knew he went through a lot when he was on the island with the others thanks to Donovan kidding certain people they loved, but now Lilly was more focused on getting the information she needed on Ripley. She could have spoken to Wells at the Metro when he came there but she decided to back off. Wells was observing everything in the bar for some reason, as she heard her phone ring. Lilly picks it up and before she starts to speak, hearing the receptionist on the other line.
Lilly - "Yes...he's here...okay...tell him to come in"
Hanging up the phone, Lilly saw Paul come into the office with the folder in his hand as he nodded his head. Paul respected Lilly and a businesswoman and glad at the same time that she replaced her mother who should be on a longer vacation out of Oakdale, he couldn't stand Lucinda.
Paul - "Lilly"
Lilly nods and motions to Paul to sit down in the chair as Paul gets comfortable. Seeing the folder in her mind there was no doubt there's a lot of info inside the folder.
Lilly - "Hey Paul, you must have something very important for me in that folder"
Paul - "Yes I do, I just hope you know what you're getting yourself into Snyder"
Lilly - "And what's that supposed to mean? I can take it Ryan, I am not a little girl with no gloves you know?"
Paul - "Just prepare yourself when you go up against Wells at some point. Is he interested in taking the company public?"
Lilly - "I believe he is"
Paul shakes his head and chuckles. Now Wells was going into business for himself huh? That probably wouldn't have lasted forever unless Lilly had something to say about it or even Paul too.
Paul - "That's not a good thing at all...here, let me show you..."
Paul sits down and hands over the folder to her before Lilly takes it from him. There was no wasting time in this situation which was going to get dire in the next couple of months.
Paul - "One of my Private Investigators looked up the history on Ripley Wells the first moment he came to town. You'll be surprised of what you'll see"
Lilly - "I'll take your word for it then"
Lilly opens the folder and starts to look at the information she is reading. Immediately Lilly looks closer at it all and shakes her head from what the CEO of the company reads/
Lilly - "Unbelievable...I knew something was off with that guy..."
Paul - "You're not kidding and I believe he's got more information out there in the wings, waiting for someone to use it against him"
Lilly - "There's more?"
Paul - "That's what I am trying to get but there's certain road blocks. From Wells history, he's worked with companies in the past but has plenty of complaints"
Lilly - "Complaints?"
Paul - "Yes...some call him very ambitious, barely listens to those who he works with and can be very rude at times, brash, too focused on himself and...likes to get around"
Lilly was shocked and knew what the words 'likes to get around' were all about. Paul knew what it all meant before shrugging his shoulders, it didn't take long for Lilly to understand the meaning of everything Paul said.
Lilly - "Oh my god...what an absolute pig"
Paul - "I know...and people thought I was worse"
Lilly - "Well you do have your own track record Paul...but this...this does take the cake"
Paul - "Some of the legal cases he's been a part of have been either dismissed or ending in a mist railed"
Lilly - "He's been tried in court?"
Paul - "Yes, and how much do you want to bet he's used his influence or money to throw at jurors and judges, making them promises he'll never forget"
Lilly - "Ugh...the more you tell me, the more I am starting to dislike Wells...he doesn't deserve to take the company public"
Paul - "Have you met him yet?"
Lilly - "A couple of times but never face to face...I always get a creepy vibe from him somehow but this confirms it unfortunately"
Paul chuckled.
Paul - "Oh Lilly, you're missing out on the chance to meet the guy. The day after he came to Oakdale I decided to pay him a little visit"
Lilly - "How did that go? Was he shaking in his boots?"
Paul - "Kind of...but he told me something in the end that I wish wasn't true at all"
Lilly - "And that is?"
Paul - "Ripley Wells is my uncle. He's James Stenbeck's brother"
The shock was shown on Lilly's face when she heard that Ripley was Paul's uncle and James's brother. Great, just great, when one Stenbeck wasn't enough, another Stenbeck or his brother shall I was going to make his impact in this town of Oakdale? Why? Why did we need another bad guy in this town after all everyone endured thanks to James? He didn't just hurt Paul, Barbara and many others but also hurt her mother and that's something you don't do to Lilly's mother. Paul Ryan, despite all of his mistakes and flaws was a not perfect person, he took responsibility for his actions and moved forward in his own life. Looking at him now, he was married to Emily and have their own children, something Lilly didn't see in Ripley Wells. This man in Wells is nothing more but scum bag and will take whatever he wants. It's like the man wants to have the power and in a bad way. There's no way to tell if the man wanted this position to buy the company in order to put his goods inside of the business or partner with illegal crime lords. No, she couldn't let that happen to her mothers company, not after everything Lucinda has done, not just for herself but for Lilly. She made sure to keep the legacy alive and running when it was time for Lilly to be the one and run the company for the future.
Oakdale PD
Stepping out of the limo, Ripley Wells thanks his chauffeur and instructs him not to leave until he comes back. The chauffeur nodded before the chauffeur closed the door behind him as Wells walked up to the Oakdale PD. With his plans of taking over Worldwide Industry almost complete the man decided to take a chance and visit one of Oakdale's newest prisoners in Donovan Curry. Wells could of cared less about how he was holding up in the prison section of the Oakdale PD, what he cared about was what Donovan could do for him in the long run as long as Curry stays on track but also doesn't pull any last minute tricks. Maybe, just maybe Wells could get him out of here if he could do something like make some favors to a couple of people. At the same time Wells wanted nothing more but to rip the man a part a piece by piece for screwing up the potential plans that were all set up, which both men would benefit from. As the goes inside the precinct, he walks up to the officer and requests to see Donovan Curry. Explaining everything to the officer instead of the reason reason, the officer slowly nods his head. Going through security check., he was escorted to Donovan's cell and when he saw Curry, he grinned.
Ripley - "Donovan Curry...enjoying you staying here in this dump of a prison?"
Donovan who sat up saw Wells as he was impressed before standing up and walking up to the cells.
Donovan - "Wells...let me guess, you're here to bail me out?"
Ripley - "Bail you out? When hell freezes over"
Ripley looks at the officer and nods.
Ripley - "Thank you"
Officer - "Your welcome and Curry, you better be on your best behavior or I will take action"
Donovan - "And destroy your reputation, why don't you go back and make sure you have some donuts along with some coffee. Maybe get me a donut too?"
The officer rolled his eyes and left, leaving the two of them by themselves. Wells made sure to come in closer to the prison cells so what would be said isn't heard.
Ripley - "So Curry, you sure as hell got yourself in the thick of it all right?"
Donovan glared at Wells before he turned his face away from him briefly.. What could Donovan say or do at this point? He didn't want Wells to tell him 'I told you so' but it was coming.
Donovan - "Its not my first and it wont be my last Wells"
Ripley - "You know you could of ruined everything for me...for us"
Donovan - "Ruined everything for you? Where was my end of the bargain?"
Ripley frowns. Barging? Did he think this was a game still when he went after those in Oakdale, causing him to create ripple effects, because if Donovan continued, Wells would of killed him in the end.
Ripley - "Maybe if you were patient enough, and NOT...and not did what you just did, then maybe I could of given it to you"
Donovan - "Don't waste my time or I will call the guard to get you out of there. What do you want? Another hit job?"
Ripley - "Well do you want to continue yapping or do you really want to listen?"
Donovan rolls his eyes and can tell that the man was serious. Maybe he had something to help him get out of here at some point.
Donovan - "Alright mate...go ahead"
Ripley smiled.
Ripley - "Thank you, now I know you don't like being here but I could make things a little easier"
Donovan - "How so?"
Ripley grinned.
Ripley - "I can do some things that can make some big headlines and it will benefit you"
Donovan - "And what is it?"
Ripley looks around at the guard who was watching everything so he couldn't give it all away. Wells doesn't want to get caught at the same time and taken in for questioning.
Ripley - "I'll need to get a few things in order but I can have you out of here at some point Donovan"
Donovan - "I want to be out tomorrow Wells...can you do that for me?"
Ripley - "Shhh...don't be so loud...the last thing we need is the guard or anyone else to hear us"
Donovan groaned.
Donovan - "Alright alright...sorry...but, you can do that for me?"
Ripley - "Yes I can but we'll need to act fast and have all the resources we need. I'll look up some of your people and then go from there"
Donovan - "That can work Wells but we'll need to be careful"
Ripley - "It's not just your ass on the line, so is mine and I have a lot of things going on, so this has to be perfect"
Donovan wondered what he meant when saying that. Maybe it's not important to Donovan but was Wells holding out something that he wasn't telling her about? Donovan didn't know how much he could take being in here and the other inmates who were here just taunting him. He could take them all on and succeed but this time it's different. Maybe they all could form some kind of prison break and get everyone out but who could Donovan trust besides Wells? Those inmates would have their own agendas and own advantages of where they want to go. They would try their hardest to kill him but would Wells allow that? Donovan didn't think so but Wells, from the look on his face and sound of her voice, he had other better things to do. Donovan didn't care about the plans or other things Wells had in mind, her only cared about was his freedom. He didn't trust the FBI or those from Australia to treat him fair and right. Yes, Donovan was a bad boy and never operated with those goody goody two shoes. They don't play the right way but Wells, Donovan could feel that he could trust him.
The Dirty French
Steve and Betsy continued eating their food when it arrived earlier as they talked, laughing at some of the silly but fun times they had together. Even when the two were young and separated at times, they always talked to one another. Of course, there was the awkwardness between them but it only made the two love each other more. Now here they were and it's like time hasn't flown by at all, which was a relief for both. Maybe they thought they would hate one another for how things ended back then. Steve wouldn't have blamed Betsy if she never wanted anything to do with him. Steve was surprised that Betsy didn't slap him the day they spoke at the park, but there was no need for her to do that. Steve was in enough pain from being in prison and missing out such things in her life including Danni. Steve had a lot of regrets in his life and he couldn't take them back, but all the man could do is start over again like he is now. Both him and Betsy are making the best of this as it's good for the two to know each other all over again. Maybe if they had a family dinner with Danni the trifecta would be complete and all three of them would get over the past, moving forward into the future as a family.
Betsy - "When Danni peed on you before you changed her diaper I couldn't help but smile and laugh Steve. I bet it took you off guard"
Steve - "Of course it did, and to hear her giggle, to hear her laugh made my heart melt"
Betsy - "It never happened again that day after you changed in a new shirt but for the time being before going to prison, you were good to Danni"
Steve - "Thank you, I tried my best Betsy and it got me thinking...I mean if you're up to it"
Betsy - "What did you have in mind Steve?"
Steve - "I was thinking, maybe the next time when you speak to her, you can invite Danni to Oakdale? I haven't seen her in a long time"
Betsy arched her eyebrow. Was this a very good idea or a bad one by Steve? What was he thinking? That's what Betsy is trying to see through him.
Betsy - "Are you sure about this Steve?"
Steve - "Yes, I know she probably hates me for what did but I have to see Danni to know she's okay"
Betsy puts her fork down and places her hand on Steve's hand. She could see he had a lot of thought but regret too for how things ended when it all came crashing down.
Betsy - "She's fine Steve, remember you asked me about her earlier?"
Steve - "Yes, maybe I am just letting my fears overtake me for the moment. Maybe one day it can all happen"
Betsy - "You're right, it's going to take time for Danni to forgive you Steve but...from having this date with you, talking to you on the phone after I come home from work...you want to make this work"
Steve smiled and nodded his head.
Steve - "And I do. I mean, if I had just stopped by to see you at the Hughes BBQ event and that was it, I would be somewhere else and not in Oakdale"
Betsy - "To be honest Steve, coming back to this town I didn't know what to expect. Maybe if I was working at the hospital and doing nothing else in my life I would of accept it, but something told me it would be different, right now thanks to you, it's more exciting"
Steve - "Well thank you, I am glad to be the man who will continue making life exciting for you and not boring"
Betsy chuckled.
Betsy - "I'll hold you to that Steve"
The lights around the Dirty French started to dim as others who've been here before knew what was next. Some of the couples started to get up from the tables and head to the dance floor. Soft music starts to play so Betsy had an idea in her mind that she wanted to do.
Steve - "What's going on?"
Betsy - "Looks like everyone else is heading to the dance floor, how about we dance together?"
Steve - "Um...dance? You mean...you and me?"
Betsy - "Yes Steve...let's dance together for tonight...our date has treated us well but I want to do more than us just sitting down, eating and talking about everything"
Steve - "It's been awhile since I danced...I mean I am rusty and I don't want to fall on my ass"
Betsy giggled.
Betsy - "Steve, you've got nothing to worry about, you have me, remember?"
Steve grinned and nodded before he stood up proud but strong too, with no shame or embarrassment at all
Steve - "You're right Betsy, so with that, would you like to have this dance with me?"
Betsy - "I would absolutely love to"
Steve takes Betsy's hand and the two of them go to the dance floor. Steve allowed Betsy to take his hand and he followed her moments, wrapping his arm around her waist to bring her close as they danced to the soft sounds to the music.
Betsy - "Doesn't this feel nice Steve?"
Steve - "Yes it does Betsy...yes it does. I love you so much"
Betsy - "And I love you too"
The two lean into a kiss they share together while they dance as it felt like they were the only two in the restaurant who were there. Everyone else in their own imagination was gone but it didn't matter. Either way the date between Steve and Betsy was a success, they wanted to do it again, there was no doubt in that. They continued to dance together until others left the dance floor to go straight home as the two wanted it to be just them. Going back to their table they finished dinner before Steve paid it, being the gentlemen that he is. Making plans to see each other again, the two of them left The Dirty French sharing one more kiss before they depart. It felt so good again to feel their lips on to each other, almost addicting but the kiss slowly broke as they said their goodbyes. Steve watches her leave in her car and then Steve calls for a taxi before the taxi arrives, then he gets in. Heading back to the hotel he's staying in Steve felt great for the first time in his life.
Worldwide Industries
Lilly was taking in the announcement from Paul that he was Ripley's nephew, his brother was James Steinbeck. She saw the look on Paul's face, he wasn't lying or pulling a fast one on Lily because if he did, Lilly would have laughed but this was serious. When she thought about it a little more, Ripley reminded her of someone she would bump into or see during different events to cause trouble and destroy the lives of those in Oakdale. He wasn't an actual terrorist but the man always operated behind the scenes like one. Lilly hated James for how he used her mom back then during that one case. Lucinda could throw James in the cell and put away the key, but no, she had to lie under a freaking oath in order to keep him from getting his behind beaten in jail. Now that she knew this, Lilly felt Ripley must've learned about James Stenbeck's playbook of getting what he wanted in the end. Wells could do the same thing as well to accomplish his main goal, but Lily wouldn't allow it to happen, neither would her mom. Wells was different though, maybe he was waiting to see what Lilly will do next or Wells could be planning a surprise for her by taking the company public.
Lilly - "So he's...your...your uncle? But how?"
Paul - "I ask myself that question everyday Lilly and I wish I didn't find out. I have the proof here if you think I am lying"
Paul gets up and takes out an envelope of the DNA results he got from the doctor. Showing it to Lilly, she took it from him before opening it up then seeing the confirmation. She had to be very sure that this was not some kind of sick joke.
Lilly - "I don't know what to say...this can't be possible...is this really happening?"
Paul - "It is Lilly, you and everyone else in this town will know soon enough. Well let me correct myself, you're the only one that knows"
Lilly - "Who else doesn't know?"
Paul - "Henry, Will and my mother, I just got the results today but before you say anything, I am going to tell them"
Lilly - "I know you will Paul, but Wells, that night when we were in the Metro bar, something about him gave me that vibe of his disgusting brother. Does Wells even know?"
Paul - "He told me when I paid him a visit at the hotel he was staying in, like I said before. Remember I told you earlier? At first I thought the guy was bluffing...but he wasn't"
Lilly - "Let me guess, you tried your best to provoke him or intimidate Wells into doing something bad to you"
Paul shrugged his shoulders. Something bad to Paul freaking Ryan? Was that supposed to be some kind of joke? He wasn't afraid of him or anyone else, even if it's someone in the board room of where he works.
Paul - "You know me very well Snyder, it went something like that. But the way he got me was almost like what daddy did back then...he turned it back on me Lilly. Luckily I was able to snatch his hair for a sample then take it to Memorial"
Lilly - "Well that was selfish, stupid but smart on your part Ryan"
Paul - "Wouldn't you do the same thing Lilly if you were in my shoes? Sometimes you have to take that risk, I didn't care what my bastard uncle did to me which was nothing"
Lilly - "Or maybe planning the next move to take your out...which he hasn't"
Paul - "I wouldn't have cared what he did, it takes more than my own bastard uncle to take me down. The bigger picture here is that the man is after your own company Lilly, what are you going to do?"
Lilly - "I could always go to either you or Dusty to look into more of Ripley's background"
Paul - "And what are you going to do with it?"
Lilly thought of Paul's question which was fair. She couldn't just sit on it and do nothing, Lilly has to take action.
Lilly - "I'll present it to the board of directors and show them the information, that way they won't approve of what Wells has to offer"
Paul - "I don't know about that Lilly"
Lilly - "What this? Paul Ryan has his doubts that I can't get the job done?"
Paul shook his head.
Paul - "No Lilly, what if the board buys his own lies and approves Wells taking the company public? Heck, he might just kick you out of the business"
Lilly - "And if he does then I will sue him"
Paul - "If it's illegal and not legal...yeah...but if its legal then there's nothing you could do about it"
Lilly sighed heavily and stood up from her desk to the minibar to make herself a drink. Once she was done, Lilly took a sip.
Lilly - "I can't let him do that Paul...if he went through and got approved, everything my mother and I put into the company will be all for nothing"
Paul starts to stand up.
Paul - "I'm sorry you have to put up with this Lily but I do hope you put extreme measures to make sure Ripley doesn't get what she wants"
Lilly - "I'm not going to KILL him Paul"
Paul - "And I am not saying you have to...but if it gets too rough, let me know and I will make the arrangements. I need to go back home anyway, you have my number if you need anything. Or if Dusty needs something from me then let him call me, have a great night"
Lilly - "Thank you Paul and if anything comes up, you'll be the first to know"
Lilly smiled a bit and waved at Paul before he left the office as she sat down in the chair, closing her eyes. Rubbing her temples she groaned and shook her head, picking up the folder of information of Wells. Lilly got the idea that Ripley was going to come out swinging and she didn't mind that. Lilly may be a Snyder by marriage but she was a Walsh by blood, and the Walsh family never backed down from people like James Stenbeck, Paul Ryan, and soon to be Ripley Wells. Bring them on all on and Lilly will have not just the support of her family, her mother but also that fire in the belly. Lilly was going to have to play dirty but it may backfire on the daughter of Lucinda Walsh and the wife of Holden Snyder. She had to take a chance which everyone does in the world of business of any type of situation. Since it was time for her to leave, Lilly finishes her drink she made earlier and then grabs her belongings before leaving the office. But she also grabs the folder with her, turning out the lights, leaving the company and heading straight home.
Oakdale PD
Donovan pondered the possibility of getting out of here when the time comes thanks to Wells and what he's offering to him. Ripley could tell that Donovan didn't want to stay here long term or even when he leaves for the expedition straight to Australia. Wells also thought of offering him different places to stay around the world based upon the resources Ripley had but what if it was just a trap so that he somehow gets captured? How can Donovan be so sure and so convinced by the man's offer? Ripley on the other hand waited, knowing deep down in that man's twisted mind, the only way he could get out of here alive was by a breakout and a breakout that wouldn't get a lot of attraction. People didn't have to tell in a situation like this, Oakdale PD have officers who were guarding different places around the precinct and also cameras around the precinct. So in a situation such as this one wasn't going to be pretty. If people die from this, then they die as long as they get in the way but it was on them. Ripley's goal was to help Donovan but whatever means is necessary, but would Curry take what Wells is giving to him? Crossing his arms, Ripley awaited his answers or maybe this was just a waste of time.
Ripley - "So what's it going to be?"
Donovan after thinking about it, pushed himself off of the cell after he leaned back thinking of his offer. It's clear that he was ready to answer Wells, and he shouldn't waste the man's time today.
Donovan - "Okay Wells, you got yourself a deal...I will follow through on it"
Ripley smiled and nodded. Good boy, Wells thought, Donovan wasn't a man made by rushing through everything and wanted to do something different.
Ripley - "I had no doubt you would agree, despite being a little dumb sided on the rocks from time to time in that thick skull of yours"
Donovan - "Excuse me? Look, I don't want to feel like I am getting blindsided by you, because if you betray me...you won't see it coming"
Ripley - "Oh? Threatening me again I see mister Curry? How predictable, maybe I should keep you here to rot until expedition"
Donovan groaned. Wells was doing it again and Curry sometimes wondered if he was dealing with the right person at times because it looked like he didn't trust him.
Donovan - "Stop playing games, this is always the problem with you. You don't have to like me mate but at the same time respect me"
Ripley - "I'll start respecting you when you respect me mister Curry. This is the opportunity of a lifetime and you want to throw it away"
Donovan - "I am not, I just don't want to this blow up in both of our faces. I am not gonna be the only one in trouble, you will be too"
Ripley - "Don't worry your pants off too much Donovan. I'll make sure that both our asses are not in any trouble"
Donovan - "Now how is this going to happen? Did you see how guarded this place is?"
Ripley looks at both sides of the prison and notices the guard was looking around, keeping an eye on everything so Ripley couldn't be that loud or raise his voice.
Ripley - "Yes I have, looks like you'll be leaving this place the day before if everything goes according to plan"
Donovan - "You gotta be kidding me? It's gonna take that freaking long?"
Ripley - "Patience is a virtue...besides maybe and this is just a maybe, I can help you get out of here in no time but you need to be patient"
Donovan - "Well hurry the hell up mate, I can't hold on here that much longer. What if they show up tomorrow to take me away?"
Ripley - "Nonsense, after what you were arrested for it will take time for everything to be adjusted. The governments and agency's need to get everything on the straight and narrow path"
Donovan slowly nods. Not everything was perfect but almost a mess at the same time nothing isn't perfect.
Donovan - "You know something Wells, you're right and maybe we could get out of here early. We need all the resources we'll need"
Ripley - "You see, now you're thinking smart...do you know anyone who can help you Fraser?"
Simon - "I do have some friends of mine outside of the country, just look me up with the money and everything you got, get in contact with them and then move from there"
Ripley smiles and nods. At least some things are gong to get done, Wells and D
Ripley - "Perfect but hopefully once you're friends, whoever they are can get on the same page with me. We don't want any of them turning their backs on us"
Donovan - "If they give you any trouble...when I get out let me handle them. And when I am also out, I am going to make sure Simon and his buddies get a goodbye not from me"
Ripley - "Let's not focus on them yet...that's what got you in trouble the first time with me, remember?"
Donovan - "Yeah yeah I know"
Ripley - "I need to leave, stay strong mister Curry because you will need it. Remember what we said and discussed, it's between the two of us and ONLY two of us. Enjoy the rest of your day here"
Ripley nodded before he walked away from Donovan's cell and told the guard that he was finished. The guard nods before letting Ripley leave, then leaves the entire police department, getting in his limo and heading back to where he was staying. Donovan heavily sighed but remembered Well's words as he started to get down on the floor before doing push ups, starting to motivating himself that everything was going to be okay, he was getting out of here the hard way which he loves since the odds are against him. Donovan has also been hearing some things when it comes to one of the guards low key talk about Simon and how he wasn't doing well. Donovan wondered if the island was the reason for making him sick, because either way or whatever Donovan didn't care. Simon deserves everything coming toward him, so there would be no emotion from Donovan. He wished he could see the look on Katie's face when something very bad happens to Donovan. One way or the other, Donovan was going to pay everyone of them back in the worst way possible...they'll never see it coming.
