It was a world meeting; it has just finished and everyone was packing up. 'Bye, Lia.' Said New Zealand.

'Have fun on your date, Zee.' Replied her sister who was still sitting in her seat.

Zee kissed her sister's cheek, 'I'll meet you at the hotel.' She picked up her briefcase and left.

Everyone filed out, until the only ones left in the meeting room was Russia and Australia.

Australia looked around, but Russia had just ducked down to pick up a stray paper and she didn't see him.

America and England looked horrified at Australia, 'You were alone with the, Commie Bastard!' yelled America.

'Did I teach you nothing about safety?!' yelled England, 'Why aren't you running out of there?'

Australia looked nervous, 'I didn't know that he was there.' She replies, 'Besides, he didn't hurt me.'

America runs to her and checks her over.

'What're you doin'?' asks Australia, as he shines a torch in her eye.

'I'm checking for brainwashing.' He replies, waving his hand in front of her eyes, 'The Commie Bastard must have brainwashed you!'

Australia bats his hand away, 'He hasn't brainwashed me.'

America checks her pulse, 'That's exactly what a victim of brainwashing would say!'

Australia kicks out her leg and hits him in the groin, 'Leave me alone!'

America lies on the floor, groaning and clutching his groin.

Russia smiles his creepy, childlike smile and claps his hands, 'Good job, Австралия.' [Австралия means Australia in Russian.] 'The Capitalist Pig needed to be taken down a peg.'

'Thanks.' Replies Australia, returning to the memory.

She slowly got up, groaning. Russia looked at her in curiosity, Australia was usually very athletic. Finally, she was standing up. She leant on the table, as she took an experimental step.

'What's wrong, Lassie?' asked Scotland, looking anxiously at Australia.

Australia shrugs, 'I fell out of a tree and landed bad, that's all.'

Scotland nods, satisfied with her answer.

0nce she was done, she took her hand off the table and stepped away. When she didn't fall, she took another cautious step, this one didn't end well.

When she put weight on her left leg it gave out and she hit the ground, hard.

When she didn't get up, Russia walked over to her, she was trying to move her leg, but failing. He knelt next to her, 'Are you okay, Australia?'

She wasn't looking at him, 'I'm fine.'

He looked her up and down, 'You do not look fine.'

She turned to look at him, and flinched, 'Y-you're R-Russia!'

He sighed 'Yes. And you are Australia.'

'A-are you going to hurt me?' She was shaking and leaning away from him.

'Not unless you hurt me.' He's almost hurt for a few seconds, but then he realises that she's probably only heard about him from England and he is unlikely to have told her good things about him. Besides, the Great War has only ended recently – everyone's still a little paranoid.
