Year Two
AN Hi there true believers, I've decided that I want to split this story into five years, each with twenty chapters, which does mean one hundred total chapters… I am doing this to make it seem more like a school. The core 'X-Men' will have been aged up a year. This will happen with every new 'year'. The roster as it stands now is Scott Summers, Ororo Munroe, Anna Marie, Remy LeBeau, Jean Grey, Bobby Drake, Professor Logan and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Braddock.
It was period one of the new school year. Logan hated this part. Getting to know every knew student (and their names). One attracted his attention, however. She had long, brown hair and dark eyes. She looked- she looked a lot like him. She seemed to have Spanish heritage, however, something he couldn't say he had. "¿De qué estamos aprendiendo? (What are we learning about?)" She called.
"Huh?" He asked, in genuine shock, "No, we speak English in here. H. ¿Si? (Yes?)"
"Pero hablas bien el español... (But you speak Spanish very well…)" The girl retorted.
I hate my job, Logan concluded. "Fine, Hitler. Pages forty-eight to fifty-six." He gave up and slouched in his chair. "Spanish, here." He called out to the girl.
"¿Si, Profesora Logan? (Yes, Professor Logan?)" She asked.
"Name?" He asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Mi nombre es Laura Kinney, pero tu ya lo sabías. ¿Si? (My name is Laura Kinney, but you already knew that. Yes?)"
"Si." He nodded, slowly.
"Entonces sabes demasiado. (Then you know too much.)" She said swiftly, protectively, even. Protecting herself. "Pass me that bottle on your desk." Logan ordered. He was too tired. He'd spent the last six weeks 'babysitting' the self-proclaimed X-Men on Charles' orders. He didn't want a repeat on either Lehnsherr or… Raven.
"¿Cuándo lo recuperaré? (When will I get it back?)" She whispered.
"When you get it back." He shot back before sending her back to her reading.
It was breaktime and Logan was itching to get into McCoy's classroom. The 'technological whiz' of the school. He knocked and Hank let him in without question. "There's a Spanish girl-" Logan began.
"Kinney," Hank finished for him, "You two do bear some resemblance."
"Got some DNA, thought you could look it up."
"I don't know…" Hank began.
"Please?" Logan asked. Hank snatched the bottle and had her DNA up in no time.
"Logan, you won't like this but I found her DNA." He spun the monitor for Logan to see.
"I don't get it," Logan replied, puzzled.
"It's your DNA." Hank said slowly.
AAN Hi, two things to say now: do you want to know what happens to Stryker's life work now he's dead? Go and read Daredevil: The Man Without Fear to find out. Shameless plug, I know. Also, Logan, Scott and Jean, that love triangle in everything else X-Men, not going to happen in this story. I think Logan and Jean's relationship ill be more friendly/father daughter relationship.
