A Whole Lotta Waiting Part 3
The train that held the teams that chose 'No Wait' is a few miles from Anaheim.
Inside the vintage dome car, the Pizza Sisters, Lesbians, All-Star Hockey Players, Bullies, and Brothers were listening to the Maple Scouts.
"Okay, so far, we got three countries squared away," said Arnold, as he and his partner were describing their main goal in the Ridonculous Race, "We got the United States, Senegal, and Monaco. We just need to get seven more, and then we're all set!"
"Aha," said Willis, "You two must be very optimistic about traveling 'round the world, huh?"
Arnold and Percy smiled, "Yes." they both said.
"We were a little bummed that we had to go back to Canada yesterday and the US today." said Percy, "Not that anything's wrong, but we just want to have a little more variety to where we're going to."
Seren patted Percy's shoulder, "Well, don't worry about it." she reassured, "Next episode, I guarantee we're going to another country."
"Does it say anything about having other people in the picture too?" asked a coy Lorraine, "'Cause, I was thinking, if you could have a few people to include in one or two of your pictures?"
"Well, our instructor said we'd include more people in it." said Arnold, "As long as, A) me and Percy are in it, and B) It shows a landscape of where we are, depending on what country we're in."
"Doesn't that feel stupid to just be in a race, just to get some stupid promotion?" asked Molly.
"Well, getting the badge is one thing." said Percy, "But being in a competition against other teams for a chance to win a million dollars? That would be AWESOME!"
Arnold nodded along with his partner, "We've learnt a lot from the Maple Scouts, that we want to utilize and test ourselves, so that we can be the best we can be! If you want to be part of the Spruces Scouts, you'd have to show how far you can go! Me and Percy are trying to prove to them that even when we get all ten countries, we're still willing to take on any risk!"
Lance let out a chuckle, "You seem gutsy for a bunch of kids."
"It's fine to laugh at us, man." retorted Arnold, "But traveling the world and proving what challenges we can overcome is a key part of being a scout, whether it's the Maple Scouts or the Spruces…"
"But the Spruces Scouts prioritize that 100 percent!" agreed Percy.
Jose tapped on the Bullies' shoulders. When they turned around, the Brothers beckoned them to follow them somewhere.
In a train gangway, the Bullies met up with the Brothers.
"Talk." said Lance.
"I think maybe you want to show some teams what you can do…" said Jose.
"What does that mean?" asked Lance.
"We can deal with one team… You can deal with another…" Alejandro told them, eyeing a certain team from the door window. The Bullies looked over, and they started smirking themselves.
*CON: Lance & Molly - Bullies*
"They wanna see how capable we are in the competition?" Lance asked, "They'll be in for a treat!"
*END CON: Lance & Molly - Bullies*
*CON: Alejandro & Jose - Brothers*
"After dealing with certain threats in the last leg, it's nice to have some assistance dealing with more potential ones…" said Alejandro, "Sometimes, we don't have to do all of our dirty laundry."
"But sometimes, if the machine starts to burst, we could always do it ourselves." said Jose, "Not saying that the Bullies are starting to burst, but I'm just saying… There's always that possibility…" Alejandro nodded.

"Newsflash!" Don announced, "The teams that chose 'No Wait' have finally arrived!
The train has just arrived at Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center. As soon as the train stops and the doors open, all seven teams start pouring out, where they all started running towards the amusement park.
The camera cuts back to the amusement park, where the Unlikely Best Friends and C-List Celebrities are boarding the swinging Ferris Wheel.
"Meanwhile, some teams who've already arrived are starting to start the All-In…" Don finished.
As soon as the swinging Ferris Wheel leaves, the C-Listers are looking around for the first word.
"Okay, so what the heck do you think it might be…" Narissa asked, looking through binoculars.
Shannon looked at the movie theater, which read 'Cinema'. "Like, maybe that could be our first word?" she suggested.
"Good point." said Narissa, writing the word 'cinema' down on her team's paper.
Meanwhile, the Unlikely Best Friends were searching for the first word themselves. "Where could that first word be?" asked Courtney.
Gwen looked over to see some signs. Eventually, she saw a sign on the side of the hotel others saw earlier, "Could it be grove?" she asked.
"Grove?" Courtney asked, "What does that have to do with the riddle we're supposed to solve?"
"You've never been good at solving riddles?" Gwen questioned.
Courtney didn't respond. Instead, she just kept looking around. Gwen, on the other hand, didn't waste time writing 'Grove' on her team's paper.
Meanwhile, the seven 'Wait' teams were in line for the mountain water ride. However, unlike the swinging Ferris Wheel, that ride had a long line.
"Now I wish we'd chosen 'No Wait'..." murmured Oscar, looking at the wait time: 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the seven 'No Wait' teams ran inside the park entrance, thanks to the use of the Line-Skipper. They pressed the Don Box button, and each team read their tips.
"Alright!" exclaimed Arnold, "We get to ride some rides!"
"But we need to find some words…" said Percy, "We can't just jump ship and ride rides just for the hella'vit and avoid the All-In."
"What are the words we need to find?" asked V.
Arnold shook his head, "It doesn't say." he told them, "We just have to ride three rides and record the words we see. If we get one of em wrong, we have to go back on it again." He looked at the other teams. "We're so getting there first!" He and Percy took off to the swinging Ferris Wheel.
"As the 'No Wait' teams are bound for the first attraction…" Don narrated…
It shows the Young Farmers, who were already on the water ride.
"We see one team already ahead of the competition…" Don finished.
"Okay, what are we going to do now?" Rodney asked his partner.
"I don't know…" Scott said, before the duo started feeling their boat go up a large hill… They saw a light at the end of the tunnel, which meant they were near the big, final drop…
"Looks like we might find that final word…" said Rodney, "Are you ready?"
"Do you have the paper in your pocket?" asked Scott.
Rodney nodded, and they all braced for the drop.
The camera cuts to the exterior of the mountain water ride, where Scott and Rodney are seen in the car as it plunges down the drop. Their screams could be heard.
Then the camera cuts to Scott seeing a small word in the tunnel. "RODNEYYYY!" he said, before he was splashed with water. Both of the Young Farmers were coughing from the water that splashed them.
Scott turned to Rodney, "Rodney! That next word! It's 'Platinum'! Record that word!" Rodney nodded.
The next scene transitions to the Jocks, British Royals, BFFFLs, and Opposing Roommates getting on the water ride next. This left the Town Heroes, Student & Counselor, and Terrence next in line.
"Sooo… do you have any idea on how I should talk to Carla?" Terrence asked Giulietta.
"Of course!" Giulietta responded.
The Town Heroes turned around, "Pardon us, but… d'you mind filling in what happened?"
"Well, I, um…" Terrence tried to say something.
"He wants to try and talk to his ex on where they stand and how they should work things out from here on out…" said Giulietta.
Lewis looked over to the jock, "That's good." he said, "What were you thinking about?"
"I don't know…" shrugged Terrence, "If I want to talk to her, she'd only yell at me and ignore me…"
"I don't think most of it is true…" Harvey shook his head, "I think maybe if you just try to go easy on her, you can convince her to listen."
"How do I do that?" asked Terrence.
"Just takes some patience." said Harvey.
"I mean, I want to talk to her and straighten things out, but…"
The Town Heroes and Giulietta looked at each other, concerned, before they turned to Terrence. "Look, maybe we can help you out." Giulietta offered, "I think me, Lewis, and Harvey can help talk things out with Carla into talking to you."
"And maybe me!" Luke piped up, "Don't forget about me, Giuls!"
"Sure thing!"
Luke smiled a little nervously.
*CON: Luke - Student & Counselor*
"I've never told anyone this, except for Giulietta, but… I've seen some romance similar to Terrence and Carla's…" He let out a cough, before continuing, "I didn't want to get involved with the Homecoming Couple because I figured I'd just be over it, but… I just think with how far the tension's been going on, I feel like it's being too crazy for me to not think about it."
*END CON: Luke - Student & Counselor*
"Next in line!" the ride operator said, before guiding the two teams and Terrence into a water car.
Not far ahead were the C-List Celebrities and the Unlikely Best Friends, who were almost to the front of the line.
"Ooooh man…" Courtney felt scared, "I don't know if I can do this!"
*CON: Courtney - Unlikely Best Friends*
"Riding rollercoasters and drop rides is NEVER my thing! If that's not scary, I don't know what is! Maybe perhaps… bungee jumping too?"
*END CON: Courtney - Unlikely Best Friends*
Meanwhile, the 'No Wait' teams were already on the swinging Ferris Wheel. But it was pretty uneventful, as all of them had found the word 'Grove' relatively easy.
The next ride they had to go on was the mountain water ride.
Ahead of the others were the Maple Scouts and Bullies. They noticed Carla, who was sitting on a bench with her hands folded. She was still upset.
"Oh look," taunted Molly, "Carla Crybaby's still miserable as always!" She and Lance laughed at her, as the cheerleader glared at them and turned away.
"Geez…" said Arnold, "Take it easy, she just broke up with her boyfriend…"
"Who said we could take it easy?!" Lance scoffed.
The Maple Scouts rolled their eyes and ran into the Line-Skipper line, not having any time to argue with them.
The next scene shows two boats; one with the Jocks, BFFFLs, Opposing Roommates, and British Royals, and the other with the Town Heroes, Student & Counselor, and Terrence. Their boats all plunged below, but most of them were able to make out the next word, 'Platinum'.
Meanwhile, the Unlikely Best Friends and C-Listers were at the front of the line, ready to get on the boat.
"Next!" The ride operator announced.
"Yeah!" exclaimed Shannon, "Let's get this show on the road!"
Courtney turned around to face the blonde C-Lister. "I didn't know you liked amusement park rides." Shannon let out a teasing smile towards the CIT.
*CON: Shannon - C-List Celebrities*
"There are, like, some things I can tolerate in life. Some of those include steamy baths, balloon rides, puppet shows, and yes, amusement park rides; even the ones where you get splashed! But that doesn't mean there are limits where I don't like being, like, drenched and muddy." She shuddered, remembering her experience back in Vancouver.
*END CON: Shannon - C-List Celebrities*
Just then, the ride operator saw the Maple Scouts and Bullies in the Line-Skipper line, cutting ahead of the two teams.
"You snooze, you lose, losers!" Lance told them.
"What?!" Shannon cried out, "Say that again to our faces?!"
But the Bullies ignored them, as they and the Maple Scouts' boats took off, leaving the C-Listers pissed.
Gwen looked over to them, "They've probably just got here." she told them and Courtney, "But don't worry, we're next in line anyways. The rest are probably somewhere further away from us."
"Next in line!" the ride operator asked, getting the two teams on the next boat.
Outside the mountain ride, the Town Heroes, Student & Counselor, and Terrence were talking amongst each other.
"I don't think I got the word…" said Terrence, "I gotta go back!"
"No problem." said Lewis, "Take your time and we'll help with getting Carla to talk to you…"
As soon as Terrence was heading back in line, the Town Heroes and Student & Counselor found Carla on the bench.
"Hello there, Carla." greeted Giulietta.
Carla turned around to see the two teams in front of them. "Don't you have to be somewhere else?" she asked with a hint of venom.
"Look, Carla, I know you two are hurting right now, but…" Giulietta said, "I think you two should talk to each other."
"Yeah." said Lewis, "It's not fun to see the two of you miserable, now that you two have broken up."
"Why should I?" asked Carla, "There's no point in salvaging this stupid relationship…" She kicked an empty popcorn bucket near her feet, "I just don't want anything to do with him anymore…"
Luke stepped in, "Hey, Carla…" He said, getting her attention, "You don't want to talk to Terrence, whatever, fine… You can just not talk to each other anymore… But what me, my counselor, those guys," he pointed to the Town Heroes, "And also Courtney have witnessed, with what you two are hurting, it's not making your experience any less painful…"
"How do you know?" questioned Carla, "All I've seen you do is complain about playing video games and not doing your schoolwork…"
"Fine, you're right. I don't know." said Luke, shaking his head, "But I've seen people argue to no end, and… it's really not fun, if you ask me…"
"Like what?"
Luke tried to swallow himself when he would name the people who, "I have this sister…" he said, "She has a boyfriend who cheats and abuses her to no end…" This lit up Carla's face, as well as the Town Heroes' too. "They're living with each other back home… She really does hate him… But, somehow, she got engaged to him… Instead of talking things out, they just ignore each other, yell at each other every chance they get…"
"Seriously?" Carla asked.
"I've seen them fight in front of me…" said Luke with a heavy sigh, "Usually they're just an adversary, that my mom and dad had to get involved, sometimes even the police. Sure, my dad wants him gone, but my sister still wants to be with him…"
Carla looked like her mind was trailing off. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. When her mind came back, she looked at Luke, solemnly, "Why does she still want to be with him even though he's a pile of crap?"
"I wish I knew…" said Luke, "Something about a certain bet she had with her other friends to get married before she's 25-years old, I have no idea…" He looked away, feeling tense.
Carla knew that if she wouldn't talk to Terrence, their relationship would be more than dead. She somehow pictured themselves being a couple; and she was being very abusive towards Terrence, and yet she also knew Terrence couldn't break off, because she's the queen bee at their school, and if anyone found out they were no longer together, they would point fingers at Terrence. Shock and guilt swirled around her head.
Letting out a deep sigh, "Luke, I'm so sorry…" she said, having a hand on his, "You're right… All of you… It's bad that people like Luke's sister are going through their own issues from these jenky relationships… I don't want the same thing to happen to me or Terry…"
"You don't have to dwell on that, Carla." said Harvey.
"Right…" said the cheerleader, "I really need to talk to him…"
*CON: Luke & Giulietta - Student & Counselor*
"I never told anyone that I had a sister whose boyfriend is a piece of crap," said Luke, "Because I didn't want to make it out in the open… But the way Terrence and Carla were fighting, really reminded me of her and her boyfriend, and… even though Terrence and Carla have broken up, I don't want them to be miserable to each other…"
"He and I have seen the Ridonculous Race, and we were really disappointed with how the Hater Daters were." agreed Giulietta.
"In my opinion, they didn't deserve to make it this far…" nodded Luke.
*END CON: Luke & Giulietta - Student & Counselor*
The camera shows a montage of the Unlikely Best Friends, the C-List Celebrities, Terrence, and the rest of the 'No Wait' teams plunging into the water.
Then it shows a montage of teams getting 'Platinum' or other words; 'Ice', 'Swift', 'Yeti', etc.
The Maple Scouts sped through the rest of the teams. "Awesome job, Arnold!" said Percy, "At this rate, we're gonna be in first place or so!"
"YEAH!" cheered Arnold.
*CON: Arnold & Percy - Maple Scouts*
"Percy and I love riding amusement park rides, especially rollercoasters!" stated Arnold, "It's totally a lot of fun when we're either shredding up front, or cruising in the back. Actually, we just love thrills as a whole!"
"Definitely!" said Percy, "It's nice to know that the last two rides we went on are rollercoasters!"
*END CON: Arnold & Percy - Maple Scouts*
The camera cuts to a giant white building. The Young Farmers were inside the intergalactic rollercoaster ride, as they are next in line for the next train.
"Next in line…" said the ride operator.
"It's about time…" sighed Scott.
Suddenly, the operator allows the Line-Skipper people on first. One of them included the Maple Scouts.
"What the-" Scott asked, baffled, "How the heck did you here so fast?!"
"We got the Line-Skipper, guys." said Percy, as he and Arnold held up said tickets.
Before the Young Farmers could say anything, they were ushered onto the ride, on the seats behind them.
"Are you excited for this ride?" asked Arnold, "'Cause we certainly are!"
After the operator checked all teams, the train advanced until it stopped in front of a tunnel. Half a minute later, the track breaks made the signal that it was about to launch the train.
"Okay, so what happens next?" asked Scott.
Suddenly, the rollercoaster is launched into the dark tunnel, causing both teams and other passengers to scream as they have been thrown into the tunnel.
Through the tunnel, there were overbank curves, loops, corkscrews, twists, that the two teams couldn't remember why they were on the coaster to begin with.
Eventually, they were twisted upside-down, where they saw a spotlight on a spaceship that said 'Triangle', in large words.
"WE GOT THE NEXT WOOOOORD!" yelled Arnold, as the car went right-side up and went down another hill.
The next scene shows the Young Farmers and Maple Scouts writing the final word down, just as other teams were getting in line, or they were heading into the Line-Skipper.
Arnold turned to the two teenage farmers, "Race you to the guide?" he suggested.
"You're on!" Rodney told them with a sinister grin, as the two teams took off to find the guide.
Meanwhile, Terrence met up with Carla. "Hey." he greeted.
"Hey." she responded.
"Do you want to talk?" asked Terrence.
"Umm… sure, but can we go somewhere quiet?" said Carla. Terrence was surprised with the reaction. She thought she was going to lash out at him more. Nevertheless, he nodded along with her and just went on a stroll with her…
The Unlikely Best Friends were heading into the line of the rollercoaster. Courtney read the sign saying that it includes inversions, causing her to shake in fear.
Gwen noticed her, "Hey don't chicken out." she admonished, "We gotta clear this thing before anyone else does!"
Courtney nodded, swallowing her fear so that she could ride with Gwen. However, she noticed other teams in front of them.
"Over there!" she pointed out.
Ahead of them, the Jocks, BFFFLs, British Royals, and Opposing Roommates were near the front of the line.
"Oh man!" Tyler exclaimed, "Are we ready for this ride or what?!"
"I've never gone on a ride that goes upside-down…" said Elizabeth, who was shaking when she said that.
"Don't worry about it, Lizzie!" Patrick reassured her, "It's like ye aren't feeling anything on the ride! It's actually pretty fun upside-down!" (1)
"This rollercoaster is going to be out of this Woorrr-ooooooorrrllllld!" Olivia exclaimed. (2)
Suddenly, passing them were the 'No Wait' teams, who had Line-Skippers in their hands.
"Oh no!" Sadie panicked, "The other teams from 'No Wait' caught up to us! And they're passing us!"
"Seriously?!" cried Katie.
Tyler and Oscar looked at each other, before they sighed as a whole. Things have just gone from easy to challenging from zero to one-hundred. "Looks like this is going to be a close race…" said Oscar.
"I guess so too…" Tyler nodded,
"As the other teams are in for another few minutes of waiting…" Don narrated…
The next scene shows the Young Farmers and Maple Scouts in a foot race to the guide, "The frontrunning teams are about to check in with the guide, to see if they got the riddle right."
The Young Farmers pant as they arrive in front of the guide, but the Maple Scouts pass by them and give them their piece of paper, which read, "Grove, Platinum, Triangle".
The guide smiled at them, giving them a thumbs-up, getting them to cheer. He gave them their next tip, before he moved on to the Young Farmers.
"'Head to the Grove at Anaheim at the Platinum Triangle.'" Percy read the tip with Arnold reading it off his partner's shoulder.
The scene cuts to Don, who was in front of a giant building, standing on the Carpet of Completion. In front of him were gates opening up.
"This entertainment venue is located at the Platinum Triangle, this redeveloping district in East Anaheim, which, I will say, it is pretty awesome!" Don said as a few musicians passed him, playing their instruments. Don danced along for a bit before he refocused his attention to the camera, "This is today's Chill Zone! Last team to make it, could go home tonight!"
The Young Farmers and Maple Scouts wasted no time as they all ran out of the park to head to the Chill Zone at the Grove. As they went out, there were concessions people wishing them farewell and good luck.
Meanwhile, there was a montage of teams getting on the intergalactic rollercoaster; the Bullies, the Brothers, All-Star Hockey Players, Lesbians, Pizza Sisters, and Punks, the Jocks, Opposing Roommates, BFFFLs, and British Royals, the Unlikely Best Friends and C-List Celebrities, and the Student & Counselor and Town Heroes.
That time, all of them got the word, 'Triangle'.
Most of the teams ran towards the guide, where they were either given 'thumbs-up' or 'thumbs-down', and those that were given the 'thumbs-down' had their wrong words crossed off.
"Darn it!" complained Sadie, "Do we really have to go back?!"
"Relax, Sadie!" Katie reassured, "We got this! We just have to head back to the swinging Ferris Wheel and find what word we've missed!"
"Splash isn't the right word?" asked Elizabeth, before letting out a shrug, "Oh well… Least we tried."
Patrick and Elizabeth noticed the BFFFLs heading towards the swinging Ferris Wheel, "Wait up!" Patrick called out, "We're coming with you! We got the word wrong too!"
"Yeti isn't the word?!" complained Wyvern, "Come on, where else can we see other words, man?! This mountain ride is almost impossible to find other words!" But V pushed him away from the guide and ushered him to the mountain ride.
Other teams; the Pizza Sisters, Unlikely Best Friends, and C-List Celebrities went to their respective attractions they've got words wrong; the Pizza Sisters and Unlikely Best Friends went back to the mountain ride, while the C-Listers went back to the swinging Ferris Wheel, but they also have to go to the mountain ride, as they got 'Swift' as the second word.
In the Platinum Triangle, Don was waiting for teams to arrive at the Chill Zone. Suddenly, from a distance, he could see the Maple Scouts and Young Farmers in a footrace, both of them glaring at each other as they kept running.
They were both ready to check in with Don, but one of them wanted to get first place. No, they NEEDED to get first place!
Eventually, the first team to make it on the Carpet of Completion was…

The Young Farmers!
"Scott, Rodney," Don told them, "Congratulations, you're the first team to arrive-"
He was interrupted by the Young Farmers cheering as they received their placement, or so they thought.
"HOWEVER," Don cleared his throat, "You two broke a rule back at Yosemite. Two rules to be exact!" he said, glaring at the team.
"What?!" Scott cried in disbelief, "Come on! They probably weren't that bad, right?"
"Wrong." Don told them, bluntly, "You two did not get your next tip from the flagpole as soon as you landed."
"That was Fang's fault!" Scott argued, "He was chasing me and Rodney, we just forgot!"
"That's why the other teams were mad at us…" said Rodney, who remembered most of the 'Wait' teams glaring at them.
"Did you hear any tranquilizing darts or something?" Don asked them.
"No."
"Well, we just want to make it clear that we did, in fact, put that mutated shark to rest for you guys. However, because you didn't turn back to claim your tip, you took a taxi all the way to the amusement park! Those two rules you've broken really put you guys off!"
Scott scoffed, "Fine. So we screwed up. What's our penalty gonna be, Don; half hour, one hour?" As Scott said that, Don was glaring at them very hard.
2:00:00 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
"2 hour penalty…" Don told them.
"TWO?!" cried Scott.
"HOURS?!" cried Rodney.
"Yep." Don said, his blunt attitude not fading away, "Now step aside and hope you two aren't the last team."
As the Young Farmers stepped aside, dejectedly, Don focused his attention on the Maple Scouts, "Arnold and Percy," he told them, "Congratulations! You two are in first place!"
The Maple Scouts celebrated, jumping up and down as they heard their placement being first place.
"Because you two have won first, you two have won a three night stay to a hotel resort near the park you just went to! Plus, the rooms you'll be staying at tonight, as well as the days you will come back are grand suites!" Don explained to them, "So enjoy yourselves! You two have definitely earned it!"
*CON: Arnold & Percy - Maple Scouts*
"Wow!" exclaimed Percy, "We really slingshotted all the way into first place! Who were to think of these turn of events, am I right?"
"Definitely!" said Arnold, "Now all we need to do is pray we go to another country to take our next photo!"
*END CON: Arnold & Percy - Maple Scouts*
Meanwhile, the teams that got words wrong were already onboard their respective rides.
Katie and Sadie were looking all over the place for the next word… "I should've known it wasn't Sheila…" said Sadie, "Why did I even listen to that stupid skywriting?"
"It's not your fault, Sadie." Katie told her, "I thought it was going to be from the skywriting too…"
"Ha…" Sadie looked all over the sights for the word. Eventually, she found the word off the hotel. "Look! I see it!" She pointed to the hotel with the writing, 'Grove'.
"Awesome!" Katie exclaimed, "Let's write it down!"
Meanwhile, the C-Listers were looking all over for the missing word…
"I can't find that stupid word…" said Shannon, "It's gotta be here somewhere…"
Narissa looked all around the view. A second later, she saw the word on the hotel. At first glance, she saw it as a sign that that was the word they were looking for.
But then, she looked down as if it were nothing. She saw another sign on top of a funnel cake stand saying, 'Funnel Cake'.
"Is it 'Funnel Cake'?" Narissa asked.
Shannon looked down at the sign, then back at her partner. "Uh, yeah, write it in…" she told her.
1:53:30 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
Meanwhile, other teams were racing towards the Grove. Eventually, they reached the Carpet of Completion, and Don announced their rankings…
"Alejandro and Jose, you two are in second!" Don announced, as the Brothers smirked.
"Lance and Molly, you two are in third…" Don announced, annoyed, as the Bullies looked at the host, each with smug grins.
The next teams checked into the Chill Zone, montage style…
Fourth - Opposing Roommates
Fifth - All-Star Hockey Players
Sixth - Town Heroes
Seventh - Jocks
Eighth - Lesbians
The Roommates, Jocks, and Town Heroes glared at the Young Farmers, who were bewildered by their mean looks.
"Woah…" Don said, a little shocked, "What the heck did you guys do to piss them off?"
"I don't know…" Scott said, shaking his head.
1:45:42 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
Just then, the Unlikely Best Friends arrive at the Chill Zone.
"Gwen and Courtney, you are the tenth team to arrive. However, you chose to help another team during the All-In." Don told them, "While that's not a bad thing, you should know that there's no assisting allowed."
"But Terrence needed the assistance!" Courtney argued, "Carla never assisted or anything…"
"Aha…" Don nodded, but still wearing a stern look on his face, "I'm gonna have to have a quick word with someone…" Don turned around for a few seconds to talk to someone.
The Unlikely Best Friends and Young Farmers looked at each other, confused. For about thirty seconds, it seemed like something was going in the opposite direction for Gwen and Courtney.
Eventually, Don turned to face the duo, "Okay, so you helped Terrence because Carla didn't even bother to help, huh?" When he received two nods, "Now even though both teammates didn't contribute during the All-In, he could've still worked some way to get that tip. The Homecoming Couple will be penalized, but they won't know that until they arrive here. You two on the other hand, while I commend your assistance, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to give you a 10 minute penalty."
1:44:48 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
10:00 - Gwen & Courtney - Unlikely Best Friends
"We understand…" said Gwen, "At least Terrence was given some kind of assistance…"
Just then, the Pizza Sisters and Student & Counselor arrive at the Chill Zone. Don regains his smile as they step on the carpet.
"Luke & Giulietta," he announced, "Ninth place!" The team high-fived each other as they were announced what placement they were in.
"I wonder how Terrence is doing with Carla…" said Courtney.
Meanwhile, Carla and Terrence finally found a quiet place to talk to each other.
"Do you want to go first?" Terrence asked his ex, "Or do you want me to?"
"You."
"Okay…" Terrence said, sighing, "Listen, Carla, this race… it's been such a doozy on me…"
Carla nodded. "Me too… Is it because of my attitude the last few days?"
"Yeah…" Terrence responded.
"Well, then… why didn't you say something then? If there was something wrong, why didn't you talk to me about it before the race? Why'd you hold it in until yesterday?"
Terrence looked around a few seconds, before turning to Carla, "Because… I really care about you and your feelings… I knew if I'd told you, you'd be very upset… I really loved you, even if I could tolerate your attitude back at home…"
"Really?" asked Carla, "Are you just saying that? Do you really love me, or are you just saying that because of our status as 'Homecoming King and Queen'?"
Terrence looked down at the cement pathways… "I don't know…" he said, "On one hand… I liked us being together… I thought that maybe this could work…" He looked back at Carla, "On the other… I think, maybe our school is advertising us to be this celebrity couple, and I don't think I want to be that… I-I just…" He let out another heavy sigh, "Every time I picture myself being with you, I couldn't help but wonder… Are we even meant to be?"
Carla nodded, "You're right…" she said, "I feel like every time we're together, we're just… a dysfunctional couple… With my… very bad attitude, and with… whatever you have… I don't want to picture myself in the next five or ten years still like this…"
"Like what?"
"Like… like an abusive, shallow, tangled couple…" Carla sighed, a tear coming out of her eye.
Terrence looked around, confused, "What do you mean?"
"Tell the truth, Terrence." Carla told him, "I'm a mean girl."
"Carla, I'd-"
"Let me finish, okay… It's just, all this stardom, between being nominated 'Homecoming Queen' and having a boyfriend like you, and all the other people at home worshipping me, it's… turned me into a monster!" More tears came out of her eyes, and they started trickling down her cheeks.
Terrence looked around, unsure of what to say to her. It was true, he viewed Carla as a bad influence on him, but he didn't want to say it outright.
Ultimately, he realized that she was right. Remembering all the times Carla had judged his friends, all the times she tried to make him into what she views, every time she got mad at him during the race, it really has turned her into a monster.
"You're right…" said Terrence, "You may be a monster…"
Carla nodded, tears still pouring down her cheeks. She didn't even think of wiping them away, as she just felt ashamed of what she had treated Terrence.
"This is hard…" Carla whined, "I just… I don't know what's become of me…"
"Trust me, there's a lot of what might happen when you're in a relationship…" said Terrence, "It's just… too much pressure, too much thought, you contemplate a lot…"
Meanwhile, there were other teams checking in with the guide. All, but the C-List Celebrities were given the go-ahead, and their next tip.
"Seriously?!" cried Shannon, "'Fried Dough' isn't the word we're looking for?!" The guide shook his head, and the C-Listers stormed back to the swinging Ferris Wheel.
"At least we got 'Platinum' that time…" murmured Narissa.
The next teams checked into the Platinum Triangle…
Tenth - Punks
Eleventh - BFFFLs
Twelfth - British Royals
Thirteenth - Pizza Sisters
1:44:49 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
0:01 - Gwen & Courtney - Unlikely Best Friends
BZZZT
"Unlikely Best Friends, your penalty is over!" Don announced, "And you are in fourteenth place!"
"Thank God…" Courtney said. She turned to the Young Farmers, "Good luck, you two…"
Rodney let out a giggle, "Thank you, my love…"
"What did you call me?" asked a curious Courtney.
"Nothing!" Scott tried to cover up, leaving Courtney confused.
Meanwhile, the C-Listers were looking all over for the first word. After a few rides on the swinging Ferris Wheel, they eventually see the hotel's sign that says 'Grove'.
"This has got to be our word…" murmured Shannon, "If not, we're gonna, like, blow it…"
The camera shows them checking in with the guide, who finally gives them the 'thumbs-up', and gives them their tip.
Meanwhile, Terrence and Carla were walking across an empty walkway.
Terrence turned to his ex, "I just want to say something… No, two questions I want to ask you…" he said, "Do you think we should be… back together?"
Carla looked up and down, but she stopped short of him, "I… don't know… Maybe…" she tried to think, "Maybe we're… not on the same level as we thought we were… I thought this race would help improve our relationship, but… I think… it did the opposite…"
"Yeah…" Terrence understood, "I guess… if it did anything, it made us feel like we're not as strong of a couple anymore…"
A few seconds of silence filled the air, before Carla broke the ice, "What's your next question?"
"Do you think… should we continue being this race?" Terrence asked, with a gulp.
Carla looked at her ex for a few seconds.
1:23:04 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
Back at the Grove, the C-Listers arrive on the Carpet of Completion…
"Shannon & Narissa, you two are in fifteenth place!" Don announced to them.
"It's about time!" complained Shannon, "Who knew that waiting was this much terrible?!"
"Clearly we did!" Narissa said as she followed her blonde partner offscreen.
Scott and Rodney looked at the penalty clock, which was almost under 80 minutes. Both of them looked at each other, and they knew the inevitable: they were going home tonight.
*CON: Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers*
"Great…" Scott sighed, "Looks like we'll be the last ones stepping on that carpet…" He looked at the camera, "Welp, we had a good run…"
"Yeah, and it's too bad that I'm gonna disappoint Courtney like this…" said Rodney, "I know she'll miss me, but I'd want her to win this race for us!" Scott seethed hearing Rodney talk about his 'crush' again.

1:04:32 - Scott & Rodney - Young Farmers
Almost an hour passed by for their penalty, and the Young Farmers were waiting for the Homecoming Couple to come and boot them out.
A minute later, they see Terrence and Carla walk towards the Grove.
"Well well, you two." Don told the Young Farmers, "Looks like you won't be able to survive this one…"
Carla and Terrence look at each other, both understanding what has to be done. They head towards the Chill Zone, approaching it every step they take. Eventually they…
Stopped one step from touching the Chill Zone!
"What?!" Don asked, in disbelief.
For a few seconds, nothing was happening. Neither teammate was going to make a move to step onto the Chill Zone. Don was confused.
"Hello?" he asked, "Aren't you supposed to check in?"
"Don, we've been thinking… And, Carla and I have made the decision that… we're quitting." said Terrence.
"Quitting?!" Don cried out, shocked that they would do something. The Young Farmers looked at them, equally shocked.
"Yes…" sniffled Carla, "We're not really in sync after all, and… I don't think either of us want to continue…"
Don looked at the ex-couple. "Are you sure?" he asked them. When both of them nodded, he continued, "Well then… Carla, Terrence, I'm afraid you are eliminated…"
"We understand, sir…" said Terrence.
"That's right…" agreed Carla.
"If it makes you two feel any better, you would've been penalized anyways." Don told them, turning to Carla, "You were supposed to perform the tasks with Terrence, but you chose not to."
"Yeah…" Carla started sniffling again, "Today really sucked… I just…" Tears started forming in her eyes as her voice broke, "I really wish this didn't have to be this way…" She turned to her ex, where she hugged him tightly as she cried.
"There there…" Terrence said, patting her head.
Don turned to the Young Farmers. "Scott, Rodney, while you still have your penalty counting down from an hour and one minute," he said as the camera briefly cuts to the penalty clock, which was stopped at 1:01:00, "Because the Homecoming Couple have quit the competition, your penalty has been nullified, and you two are in sixteenth. You two will continue for the next day."
"Uh… thanks, Don." said Scott.
"Just… be careful when you see that mutated shark again…" Don told them, "I don't want you two to feel endangered from that thing…"
"Neither do we…" said Scott, as he and Rodney walked offscreen.
Don turned to the camera, "Well then… today was a long day of waiting, and waiting, and more waiting!" he signed off, "Where will we go next? Will we see any more teams interact with each other some more? Will the Young Farmers ever get back on the other teams' good side again? What about their problems with the mutated shark, will they go away soon? Find out next time on, The Ridonculous Race 2.0!"
*ELIMINATION MONTAGE*
"Well, I guess this is it…" said Carla, "We're going home not only empty-handed, but not as a couple anymore…"
"We still agreed we'd still be just… acquaintances, right?" asked Terrence.
"Yeah, but everything's gonna be very tiring when we get home." said Carla.
"I know…" said Terrence.
"If I wanted to do this race again, I'd try not to get my anger and competitiveness the best of me…" said Carla.
"Yeah… I would've said something before your head would pop…" said Terrence, "Maybe we would've placed higher than seventeenth, if you ask me."
It fades to the Californian road underneath a dark purple sky, with the Homecoming Couple walking alongside…
"Maybe so…" said Carla.
"I guess… I have nothing else to say right now…" said Terrence, "Do you?"
"Not at all…" said Terrence.

Aaaaaaaand, that's the end of episode 6! Holy crap, was that a long episode for me! But, here's to me hoping that this is the only three-part episode! Myself needs a break after working the past week and a half on this episode...
Scott and Rodney are becoming hated by most of the teams for trying to skip ahead, despite being chased by Fang into forgetting what they were supposed to do. Will they try to clear their names?
Some teams have devoted some time to convince Carla and Terrence to talk to each other, and even Luke, the guy who, at first, doesn't like to do anything but play video games, has made some developments. His talk about one of his family members hating their SO, but ignorant enough to get rid of them. Could this be a reason why Luke refuses to do work, and would rather play video games? Are they ALL connected?
I'm pretty sure everyone reading this was aware that Carla and Terrence weren't going to last after the last episode. Originally, I was going to keep them around for another episode, but I decided against that. I didn't think it was worth keeping the Homecoming Couple around anymore. But I didn't want them to end on a very sour note and cut them in Rankin Inlet. So I decided to have them end things and leave the race just as acquaintances. I know I focused on them too much the past three chapters, but I didn't think it would be worth keeping them for another episode or two.
There's a lot more action and drama to come! What's gonna happen next? Where will our teams go next? Will Arnold and Percy finally go to another country for another picture? Find out in the next 'After the Leg'!
Feel free to review what you think of this story! Until next time!
1 - Fun fact: This year was the first time I went on a rollercoaster that went upside-down! I went on two this year; Rock'n Roller Coaster, Starring Aerosmith, and Incredicoaster
2 - I could imagine Olivia saying 'Worrrrr-ooollllllllld' like Avril Lavigne in Sk8er Boi
