Darkness and loneliness. Ellie never liked being alone. But who wanted that anyway? And yet that's what she first remembers when she thought of her childhood. She felt alone and abandoned. To this day she did not know who her birth parents were. Unlike many other adopted children, she really didn't want to know the truth. There was never a reason for it. The only mother she ever knew and loved, made no distinction between her children and raised Ellie just like her brothers. Although it seemed more than difficult for an opossum to care for a mammoth. It wasn't until she got older that she realized how much work it was. Not only physically but also mentally.

At that time it was difficult for single mothers and then there was a child from another race. Of course there were nasty tongues. But everything bounced off her mum because she had the strength that Ellie sometimes wanted. Later as a teenager, she still had to question a lot and some days it became too much for her. She wanted to prevent her family from being further burdened and run away. That made her mother very sad. She did not blame her and found it unfair that such a young and good person should be exposed to such negativity.

To improve the mood a little, they discussed for the first time about the adoption. Baby photos then had to be taken out again, something all parents were proud of. Which she could understand very well now that she was a mother herself. She was also told that her mum simply couldn't refer her to other parents after spending a day with her. Her heart was immediately lost to the adorable mammoth, whereupon she was shown a picture of the adoption site where her mother also worked. She couldn't really evoke the moment, but the little mammoth in the photo looked very pleased to finally have a mommy. It hurt a lot to see her mother's injured face when she said she could understand if Ellie wanted to be more with her own kind. Of course, she tried to hide these feelings, because her mother didn't want her kid to stay with the opossums just because they wanted to. Then the mammoth just hugged her only true mother, because she was sure then as now that no one could have given her such a great home as this woman. That afternoon they talked to each other for a long time, which they also take advantage of because Crash and Eddie were in the tutoring class.

That moment helped her a lot. After that there were still stupid sayings around, but she didn't care anymore. She felt happy where she grew up and, as some claim, no one ever came to take her away from her home.

The mammoth missed the old days when she didn't know that much because she had even less experience and her mother was still alive. Her brothers often thought of her too. Without really wanting to, she now wondered whether the effort and work with her had really been worth it. No, she was proud of the three of them, and if she would still be here, her mother would never want her to think that way. Probably her thoughts went negative because she was gradually no longer able to go on. Seeing everything positively was one of her greatest strengths when it came to her family and friends. However, alone she found it difficult to keep this quality honestly up. There was always someone with her who she could help improve so that it could go on. Mostly it was Manny. Maybe that's why they complement each other so well. She taught him to face most obstacles in life positively and in not exactly rare cases, it also took away her fear. If she convinced her husband and others of it, she always did it for herself. Even when they were divided into these teams, nothing seemed to be a problem. Yes, they got off to a bumpy start, but they got through most of the tasks because they worked together.

But how did Ellie manage to convince someone and herself of the positive outcome of this misery when no one was with her? There was only darkness here and she was left alone. She heard and saw nothing. Where are her team members? The Supervisors? Anybody? Or was that how the end came to her? Has she died and now experienced the afterlife? If so, that seemed to be her personal hell. Alone with all the aching questions that no one would answer for her. She wished so much that they could save Peaches wherever she was. Shira too, of course. Did the two were ending up in this terrible place too? She didn't hope so, but hope was one thing that fell off more and more from her.

The mammoth tried to force herself to think of something else because she didn't want to cry. It wouldn't do her any good anyway. Her shoulder hurt enough that she didn't need any other pain. Wait? When she met death, her body parts should probably no longer feel so insignificant. Instead of dealing with it, she should remember why her arm hurt. Was she hurt? If yes how?

Thinking, opening her eyes and moving was very difficult at the moment. It was only one arm that was causing problems. The rest of the body should still be fully functional. The experience of lying here seemed indescribable to her. Nothing that she has ever felt before could compare here with. A very comfortable bed? Or at least something like that. Was she in a morgue? Do dead animals have thoughts? She would like this idea if it were a documentary on TV or a podcast on the net. For a little goose bumps before going to sleep. Now this thing was anything but exciting.

Then the female mammoth lost the fight after all, against the tears. She wasn't even sure why she was crying. Because she cared for her daughter and missed her very much? She doesn't want Peaches trapped somewhere alone and scared. The thing with the pirates back then was traumatic enough for her, even if it was always said that everything was ok. A mother knew better than that.

When the phrase first crossed her mind, she immediately remembered the opossum that has raised her. The mammoth often dreamed that her mum met Manny, Peaches and all the others before she left. She always told herself that a higher power had sent her these dreams and that she got her mother's blessing for all of this. Of course that seemed a bit stupid, because in another night she also saw her husband dressed up as a clown and he got into a cute car, where he never would fit in real life. The next day she had to smile again and again because every time Manfred looked at her, she could clearly see the make-up and powdered face from the dream. He didn't find it so funny when she reported it. But what could she do for what her brain produced? Men are sure to have crazy sleeping incidents too. Of course, her husband was reluctant to talk about this topic and just said that she was the best dream that came true. No matter how much time passed between them, Ellie thought it was sweet that Manny still felt emotions like nervousness and jealousy strongly with her at times. This infatuation of men, as it is not infrequently shown in films, her mammoth was never the type for it. There was romance in their life too. However, it never got too cheesy. She occasionally wondered what the ladies her husband met before her were like. There had to be an explanation for someone struggling with things like love. Or was it how he grew up?

Ellie really had to shake that off, because it didn't get her anywhere unless time passed. If that really was the end, then the movie of her lives was not playing correctly. She must be able to do something.

"..." Did she just hear a noise? But there is nothing and nobody here.

"..llo..ah .." Her mouth and speaking felt more than strange. Everything came out so dull.

"... ... but here ... ...ches? Peaches!" The mammoth mother definitely didn't imagine that. Someone was calling for her girl. Was her daughter nearby and she just didn't notice? Her eyes burned. Was she crying too much? She didn't know, since no one seemed to be here with her before, she just let the tears run free.

"... someone .. there?" Now it worked a little better, but somehow she had a strange taste on the tongue.

"Peaches?" Clearly someone was looking for her child. She finally had to open her eyes and start looking too. But all of her limbs still felt so strange. Just not as difficult as previously thought. Her shoulder announced itself with a burning pain, but gradually it became bearable. That little bit was nothing compared to pregnancy and childbirth. Still, something seemed to be wrong here, because her vision just didn't want to get any clearer and the person nearby sounded so muffled again.

"Wait ... please." It didn't sound like that professor. She didn't want to hear the voice of this cruel gentleman anymore, because every time the other two and she ... Yes, she was injured because some gaseous substance was tested on her team. The pirate tried to warn them both not to inhale too much because she could not foresee the effects. But the three of them were in a small room and had no chance. After all, none of them could hold their breath forever. At first they thought that the dinosaur's body couldn't take the stuff because it began to breathe heavily and half fell to the ground. Ellie also somehow had a headache, but still wanted to know if she could help him and walked closer without hesitation. She could still hear the policeman say how everything was turning around him and she should better leave. The mammoth mother didn't understand this immediately and in the next moment it didn't seem to matter either when she got a beak rammed into her throat. A throbbing pain and screams around her persisted a little longer before the darkness fell over her. Apparently the attack didn't kill her. But why were he doing such things to all of them? Why did Gavin suddenly attack her and did the same thing happened to the kangaroo?

Plonk. A very loud noise tore her from her thoughts. Then there were beeping sounds. A hiss and a bubbling then came more clearly to her ears and it came from below. Something floated up next to her. And then another thing and another. There were more and more, and as some of them brushed her fur, the mammoth realized what it was. Air bubbles. They went up because she was put in a kind of water tank. With her trunk stretched upwards, she noticed that the liquid was rapidly decreasing. That's why it was so difficult for her to hear and speak before. Breathing through the nose felt weird now. First she had to sneeze and when her head was finally able to stay above water, she also had coughing fits. As if mucus had lodged in her throat and lungs.

Suddenly she rushed out of her prison and this water also ran out. She didn't care because she was just leaning on the floor with her shaky arms to spit out more liquid. Ellie was feeling as miserable as if she'd swallowed too much water on a diving trip. Her chest hurt when she took a deep breath that it took a while before she realized someone was talking to her.

"... a little better now?" When the cough finally subsided and normal breathing resumed, she carefully looked up at the voice. A mammoth stood by her and she wiped her eyes again with the bare arm. Yes, there really was someone here who looked a lot friendlier than everyone before. Another deception? When thinking about it, the woman noticed that the stranger wasn't looking at her. Almost as if he found it inappropriate.

"Um, here a towel." The material was handed to her, but still the other wasn't looking at her any further. Irritated, she accepted what had been served and then recognized by her bare arms that she no longer wore this suit. Her whole body was uncovered the whole time. She quickly wrapped the towel around herself.

"Thanks for your help." At her age she was no longer ashamed to be in such a situation, but she didn't have to show everyone what she had to offer. Besides, this prospect was reserved only for her husband. But here in this place they didn't even stop at it.

"Did you talk about Peaches? My daughter Peaches? She has about the same fur as me and green eyes. You .."

"She is safe." The male mammoth was aware that he was not telling the truth. But he had the feeling that he had to calm the desperate woman in front of him. Otherwise it could only mean something good if the professor didn't lock his friend in this sector. Something or someone got in the way and the peach-colored mammoth was still in her room. Julian simply hoped so for now. Even if he had no plan how to proceed, because he had failed in his previous task to turn off the electricity. But at least he tried to shut down the system. It takes a while and the downside is that things that use small amounts of energy will run out first until the big machines come up. It occurred to him that some of them probably had their own emergency power devices for failures. Someone could still open the doors manually, that is if they knew how.

"You .. belong here. Then why did you get me out of there?" The person opposite seemed to be able to speak and move better again. The stuff that was now wetting the ground didn't look like normal water. He certainly didn't have time to think about this liquid. Perhaps he doesn't want to know either, because there were reasons why he had avoided this department before.

"I want it to stop. All of that here." That was really true, because even before he got to know Peaches, he often longs to go outside. At least he always imagined that things had to be different outside of here.

"My arm doesn't hurt so much anymore." The female mammoth was probably talking to herself when she looked at her shoulder, almost confused. Although he realized that she was missing a large piece of fur, he found nothing extraordinary about it.

"We should find some clothes .." He suggested because he couldn't let her run around in the towel.

"Please, don't go away!" The older woman grabbed his arm without warning and he shrank back. After all, there was no record of whether she was already on medication. Was there any substance in this strange water? He looked her in the eye and realized that she didn't want to stay here alone. Immediately he calmed down, because he should show more confidence if this really was his friend's mother. It just didn't make sense of coming to this place and telling this lie. Thieves acted differently like the scoundrels who showed up here a while ago and stole important medicines. Such events made the professor very angry.

"It's okay. You ... you can come with me." Without a number and so close together, things felt really strange here. Probably because he was just not used to contact with other animals.

"Ellie. My name is Ellie." She gave out and tightened the towel around her body again, certainly to cover up the fact that she was ashamed of the previous act.

"I'm Julian." And he took her hand carefully in his, because you could tell the woman was afraid. Nevertheless, they had to get out of here quickly before the professor thought of locking all the doors here mechanically. He was a little surprised why his actions had not yet been punished. Perhaps he shouldn't think about it any longer and must deal with his new acquaintance first. Hopefully everything else will work out.

"It is so heartless. Why are you doing all of this?" Ruby was feeling so exposed and fearful right now. Not only because the mad professor probably wanted to do some abnormality on her, but also because she was very worried about her friends. In addition, she had to incorporate such cruel images and stories. She would probably never get these things out of her head again. Was that why she was still a child? Did real adults endure such impressions better?

Certainly not. The female skunk now felt it would have been more adult to keep Louis from even going to this horror house. Now she didn't even manage to look at those monitors where this man in the smock tortured all the other animals for his alleged research purposes. Everyone received an individual welcome pack. None of her friends ever did anything to deserve this. Entering private property should justify these unscrupulous machinations? Probably this madman thought up his own laws in this place.

Her heart ached when her mother sent her away because she was no longer allowed to see Eddie when she wanted and believed that it would stay that way. Now her chest hurt much more because she was allowed to see him, but he didn't seem to be himself anymore. On the monitor you could see him crawling down a long corridor, very atypical for an opossum. When the other in her room, who wanted to follow the Eddie-like appearance with the camera, the individual, as her friend was called here, climbed up the wall and tore the device off with his bare teeth. It was more than strange to see someone like that, because you've known them for so long.

Since then she has tried to avert her eyes from the many screens, because she just couldn't stand it any longer. It would just make her cry or beg again that this older skunk should finally stop all of this. Both fell on deaf ears. She probably wasn't the first to do this, or this psychopath just didn't feel empathy for anyone. Ruby felt sick again at the thought that this research had been going on for years and that a great many would surely have to die for this nonsense.

"As I said, dear, this shows your poor upbringing and education. But you are still young and we will make sure that some things change there." The guy answered her, but didn't even look at her. The young woman was quite right with this, because the information she had heard before kept coming up in her when their eyes met. The man in front of her is supposed to represent her father. So if it's really true, then this skunk was at most their organic producer and nothing more. There were times when she wanted a third family member. Just to have a second opinion on all of her problems that she had. She used to imagine that you could do all that stuff with fathers that her mother said no to. At least that's how it came across when other children in elementary school talked about their parents. At the time, she never heard of the inconvenience of other families in her class, despite a Dad and maybe several siblings.

Now that she was imprisoned here, all the past complications with her mother seemed so trivial, and she was glad she only had one parent. In addition, the mammoth family was always by their side. She hoped at the thought that Ellie was okay. How much she would like to confidently convey to the others that their long search finally came to an end and that the missing animals were really still alive and staying here. Still, there was no end to suffering and pain, because Peaches seemed a little more mobile, but the saber-toothed tiger looked like she was lying in a high-tech coffin. Thought she tried to see shallow breathing on the screen, but she didn't want her guardian to notice that she was interested in more inmates here. Bad enough that her friends she came with need to be retrained to better fit into her surroundings. Ruby didn't want the molehog and the opossum brothers to be altered by drugs or other attempts, because she liked them all for who they are.

She got the strange feeling that the professor probably had a little dislike for other animal species. He didn't mention anything exactly, but the way the guy talked, he already revealed a little. Perhaps it just seemed to be a huge coincidence, or she still saw too little of this building, but the young woman still believed that the two of them probably the only skunks that lingered here. Earlier she went through all the screens and realized that no other prisoner or employee was of their kind. A lot of different animals were stuck here and she lived in a city where their stripes often appeared. Did the shady guy get remorse about one thing?

Or she just found a topic in her head that she could delve into, in order to distract herself from the fact that she had to watch all of this but still couldn't help anyone. She would never have thought that her life would be in such a tight spot.

When she pondered about how she was created, a question came up that she would rather not express. And yet she must have been an unwanted child. She couldn't imagine that any animal would voluntarily enter into a romantic, sexual or let alone any kind of relationship with this doctor. None of this here made a good impression to anyone with a clear head.

"You know, we were just like you once." A nicer tone was picked up, but she kept wondering what or who the man meant by 'we'. Since she woke up again, they had both been alone in the room. The stranger would talk to someone over a microphone from time to time, but that was all.

She also noticed that she was locked in some kind of glass box. This thing at least let in enough oxygen, yet it didn't make the feeling of being in a large test tube go away. Getting out seemed impossible and she really gave it all after she was back on her mind. Her raging was ignored until she could no longer and sagged exhausted to the floor. It would be pointless to try again, even if she would rather have passed out from too much exertion.

"Young and inexperienced. We thought that we could achieve anything if we only work hard enough for it." The older one in the room continued and he actually came up to her. Now Ruby was grateful for the glass wall, because she didn't like the way at all his eyes pierced her.

"And that with the horror house didn't work out?" She still tried to counter and she actually found the statement very appropriate. But her words were only fleetingly ridiculed. At least it seemed as if the other person wanted to do this.

"Don't you have wishes in your life that you are trying to fulfill? Aren't you tired of things not going as planned?"

"That's what happens when you live in the real world. Not every will happens immediately or at all. It's normal that everyone can't have everything." That sounded more depressed than intended. She didn't even want to think of certain things or animals when she said it.

"We're sorry that you were disappointed out there. But you can change everything that has always bothered you if you start to live your life here from now on." Perhaps for the guy it was just too difficult to understand that he could not grasp, that she would never do anything what was asked of her here. He also only recently met her for the first time. How should an alleged researcher know, who certainly seldom felt the real daylight on the fur, what their existence can be like out there?

"I could never want to live here voluntarily!" As long as Ruby still had her own will, she will try to fight. By the eyes of the person opposite, she recognized that she was not expressing what he wanted, because they darkened. The young woman stepped back as far as she could in here and pressed her back against the cool glass wall. In here, he can't do anything to you, she thought again. But these thoughts calmed her less and less, because the man controlled everything here and so a button on the control keyboard was pressed without this professor turning his face away from her. Immediately the air became stuffy in here, because something had to rob her of the oxygen in this capsule. She started to gasp, because no matter what was happening, it was happening quickly.

"That won't change my mind!" Conveyed the younger skunk in the room as aggressively as she was just able to do. It was getting harder and harder to breathe. Her body started shaking uncontrollably and she slipped down. Even if she was never allowed to see her mother and friends again, she would rather die than help this monster with some machinations.

"Oh, we didn't say that you had a choice." Heard her ears as Ruby paused on the floor, aghast and only a little trembling. Stunned by the stuff that was hanging in the barrel. But nothing was as heavy on her as the fear of what would happen to her now.

"Damn it, Diego. Start to defend yourself!" Manny did not know how often he asked his friend to do so, because he did not want to watch him get further injured or worse. The saber-toothed tiger was probably still in shock because what was going on just seemed too surreal to them all. Finally they found the silver-gray tigress and the mammoth also breathed a sigh of relief, because none of his friends should go through what he once experienced.

Unfortunately, the couple of big cats did not get together as well as he did with his daughter. Everything could have gone better, but he had his child back alive, that was his main concern. But Shira, who suddenly stepped into the room without warning, didn't seem to be the same as before. She must have been brainwashed because she didn't react to any of them other than with violence. Peaches warned the male saber tooth earlier, surely because she suspected something like that, but he could not be dissuaded from approaching his missing love. It didn't come close to something like a warm hug, then the tigress smashed his buddy away from her. What came after that still hurt to observe. Watching a man beg for his partner to try to remember the time together was not easy for either of them. The three of them helped as best as they could to keep Shira from doing more to him because the woman, despite the lack of memory, somehow fixed on the only other conspecific in the room.

"Shut up at last! As if you would ever do something to Ellie ..." Diego hissed without really meaning to and didn't even look at the other. He was still very much in a position to assess the situation. Even if the last scratch on his side really burned like hell. With the other injuries he managed to keep them on the surface. Whether he wanted to or not, he was slowly running out of breath. The previous forced fitness training brought him nothing.

The lady in front of him did not seem to know tiredness. Someone who didn't have much in common with his Shira, other than a little of looks. The fur looked unnaturally smooth or trimmed. The eyes of this saber-toothed tiger gazed at him with a coldness and emptiness that his girlfriend didn't even get up when he met her for the very first time. At that time you could still see fire and willpower in her. Now there was just nothing.

"What have they done to you?" And despite everything, he just couldn't fight back so that this woman would stop chasing him through this huge cell. Avoiding seemed like the only option for him. He was aware that his friends only wanted to help him, but he did not allow them to attack his Shira. Now that he has finally found her again, after the desperate search.

As a result, Sid was thrown against a wall because he tried, with the help of his mammoth buddy, to jump onto the tigress' back. Of course, the whole thing didn't even go well for a short time and ended with Manny almost losing his trunk and the sloth knocked unconscious to the ground. Peaches was then able to prevent even worse by grabbing the attacker, unusually nimble for her kind, and hurling her away. Since then the girl only tried to intervene when she realized that he could no longer. This back and forth won't last forever, and the male saber tooth doesn't really want the young woman, they only just found again, to be wounded.

"So that's what Julian meant by that." The young mammoth was talking to herself, because her father was too busy carrying Sid around and at the same time not straying too far from his other friends, because who knew whether a wall somewhere here came up again or the bottom removed from under their feet to separate them. Peaches knew that her uncle would not really want to tolerate her intervening in the battle. But she wanted to use the strength she had gained so that Shira is at least temporarily stopped. No matter what happened to the tigress, she wasn't the same one who had been through all this crap with her lately. She didn't want to think about what the professor was doing to the woman, but should rather think about what they could do now to switch off the ice-cold fighting machine. They wouldn't allow someone to die so easily here. At least she hoped so. But this arsenal with the prostheses was certainly not there for nothing.

No, Diego shouldn't be integrated into a disgusting project like the two of them and so she stormed off again to ram the female big cat in the side. In the beginning she tried not to use as much force because Peaches didn't want to hurt her friend either. However, the fourth or fifth time her dad was attacked, she began to run out of patience. Her training here seemed so pointless, because no matter how she did it, the tigress almost always landed on her paws. Even if not, the others didn't seem to mind the falls. In addition, the claws certainly didn't only look razor-sharp. Could it be that they had been replaced by real blades? How far did the crazy skunk actually go, but the young woman may not really want an answer.

"I really appreciate your help, but .." Heard the peach-colored mammoth from her uncle behind her say, but she didn't let him speak more.

"It's about a promise." She replied, because Shira had helped her so much that she put herself in danger. There were really a few moments when her fellow prisoner could have escaped to at least save her fur, but this one didn't. Peaches wouldn't even have held it against her, because when you had a child there were simply different priorities in life. She really would have understood and yet, she was not left alone.

"She would do the same for me too." The saber tooth behind her, could not have known that this promise was not brought out directly orally. However, the youngest in the group knew that the silver-gray tigress would rather be more harmed than the person who is loved by her most. When Shira regains her senses and has to find out that she wounded friends, even Diego, she will find it difficult to forgive herself.

No prisoner here could do anything about his behavior, because the professor pulled the strings here and no one else. Surely this lousy guy still enjoyed watching her attack her friend. Was that the punishment for breaking out of her room? No. The saber-toothed tigers would certainly have been compared one way or another, because one wanted to test the simple version against the so-called scientific improvement. Nobody here could have known that the two knew each other. The small detail still made no difference to the man who followed everything through cameras.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt her." Peaches guaranteed it, but she wouldn't hold back any longer. She just couldn't let her opponent distribute any more injuries. Actually, now should be the moment when the young mammoth went mad again for a while. So far she has felt absolutely nothing. Maybe it works better that way. Still, she found it strange, because until now this anger always broke out of her exactly when they attacked her. At least as far as she could remember. So here she fought a not exactly easy fight and yet her body did not react to it. Could it be that she was able to control herself better now? Or nothing happened because she knew inside that she didn't really want to fight this woman.

"What's going on?" After the younger one went in front of Diego to protect him, her opposite also remained silent. Peaches was just hoping that the tigress would try to hold back and at the same time fight whatever forced her to attack. The first thing that occurred to her was that Shira was being given the same drug as her. But the movements of her counterpart were clearly astray from hers, and it wasn't just because it was a different species. Everything seemed so targeted and considered, as if the test animal still had its own head despite everything. Peaches probably also got an outdated version of the stuff and the pirates couldn't have known that when they stole it. So she was only shooed back and forth to try what could still be done with the old version of the substance. However, Shira was being prepared here to inject the latest issue.

Test animal? How was she thinking about someone who was part of her family? Was the environment starting to rub off on her? The young mammoth began to doubt its mental abilities and wondered if it would start like this when the mind went away.

'It won't even be long before you too will feel comfortable here.' The professor's words rang in her ears again and she shook her head. No, she had to get out of here. Now they weren't just locked up in twos and separately here to accomplish that.

"Peaches? Everything is okay with you, yes?" At least as okay as one could be at this moment, Manny continued to think to himself and looked worriedly over at his daughter. She was so much like his wife and he was proud of her strength, which she really needed right now. Nevertheless, the feeling crept into him that he had failed, because he would have gladly spared his girl everything here.

"Yes, dad. I just find it strange that she doesn't move anymore." Peaches answered with a half lie to her father, because of course she felt anything but okay. But collapsing helplessly would not help anyone now.

"Maybe her memories come back." At least that's what the saber-tooth sitting behind the younger mammoth wished for. Even if a voice inside of him asserted more and more that something was wrong with his wife. If he had to be honest, she had a right to be mad at him now. She stayed here in this insane asylum for months, practically right outside the city. Still, he didn't come to her aid sooner and let her perish here until she lost her mind. The eyes of the two big cats crossed again and Diego couldn't just sit around here, even if his body demanded it. He used to put away such wounds as irrelevant and a little blood loss doesn't kill anyone, he thought and tried to find the right thing to talk to Shira.

"I'm so sorry I didn't come here sooner." He started to apologize to her good side and proceeded cautiously.

"Better stay back! Maybe she can control herself as long as no one gets too close to her." The young mammoth warned him, but he was not stopped. He noticed very well that the attacks were targeted at him. There was no need to keep exposing his friends to this danger.

"Maybe she needs my help too. She is here and I won't leave her alone any longer." With that he passed the taller one and ignored the pleading look. Suddenly he was grabbed by his arm, but he didn't dare to take his eyes off Shira, who showed another small movement.

"Don't force me to do it." When that was said, the saber tooth had to turn his head, because the younger one has never spoken in such a tone. The mammoth that he had known since birth and helped raise, looked at him with serious determination. But that didn't last long enough, than she threw him aside, because Shira had apparently lost the fight against this destructive force.

"Let go!" He ordered Peaches, because she shouldn't solve his conflicts and act as a protective shield for him. But he was not even listened to as they two danced turbulently across the area to avoid his tigress. His head warned him again that this movement technique looked like Shira, but was almost too perfect. Wait a minute, what was in her ears? He wondered and leaned forward as quickly as he could, when his sweetheart went down with both claws. What he then caught with the eyes, he had never seen on anyone else before. Was there a light blinking?
