Chapter 18
It's 3:26 and I'm hanging out by the main entrance of the mall. She didn't actually said any specific place, we planned to go to the cafe though.
Should I just wait here? Wait let's make use of technology.
L: Hey, where exactly in the mall?
GJ: Oh right XD, I'll meet you MoonDollars. See you!
L: Laters, stay safe.
I took my time walking, since I know based on my estimations, she'll be late for 15 - 30 minutes. Or worse... Basically I'm strolling around the mall, because I already passed by MoonDollars. I got the funny idea of circling the mall back to it to kill some time.
It's kind off lonely though, I used to come here all the time with my sisters.
Now that I've thought about it... are they still here?
I mean who goes to the mall at 7 am? Was the mall even open when I dropped them off? And who hangs out in the mall for more than 6 hours?
So there's only a 15% chance they're still here.
Rest assured, I don't want any of my sisters catching me on a date. All they do is meddle, but I can undeniably say I have dates because of them, with all their rants and advices to me throughout the years.
I walked and walked and walked and still... only 10 minutes passed. I decided to go to the bookstore not to far from here, see if I can find something interesting.
"Good day~ oh hey Linc!" The bookstore lady greeted, maybe I do go here often. I greeted and smiled back and continued to the shelves. This place was big for a bookstore inside the mall, it's more of a library for me.
I'm looking for something interesting just by reading the title, though Lucy thought me not to judge a book by it's cover...or title but mehhhh.. I really like fiction or fantasy and so I went to the said genre's area.
"Rings of the Lord... Mercy Maxon...This Life...Secret Life of Poppy Gloria... Haiku..??"
And there stood a beautiful woman, who I may or may not hear about all the timeeee from my best friend's mouth.
"Hey Haiku~ it's been awhile"
I can tell she was surprised too but continued the book she was reading there... in the farthest darkest area of the store.
Seriously does she has night vision contacts or something? I chuckled and walked up to her.
"Did your sisters brought you to the mall again?"
"Haha, no I'm actually alone, killing some time. Glad you're here..now we can be alone...together? Is that how you guys put it?" I kind of used the humour I learned from Lucy and from all the encounters I had with this girl.
She smiled, mission completed, she picked another book from the shelf, from all the works of Koe Star?
"Are those books about... poems?" I guessed, and she nodded. "How did you know?"
"Well we did kind of... always meet up here by chance or not.."
Maybeeee, maybeee, Haiku and I had a thing going on back in middle school. But we got distracted and didn't make it official... actually I was the one who got distracted. Next thing I knew Clyde was courting her and we just decided to bury what happened between us. Now my bestfriend is happy and not losing anymore blood because of my older sister.
"Sorry I didn't mean to.." I struggle to find words, I'm actually not even sure if there was really something. Maybe I just liked her..
"It's fine... I moved on", she closed the book harshly and put it back to its place. I got frightened of course, but surprised to see her looking at me with pleading eyes and pouting lips. "But..." ,Then she stepped closer, and closer, and closer, while I step back until the hard wall was againts my back.
She placed her index finger on her dark, thin lips. "Shhh", she transferred her finger from her lips to mine.
Can't help but notice she was still wearing that perfume and grape lipstick. Can't help but stare at her lips. Can't help but feel every bit of my lower lip being nudged by her slender finger.
"Don't tell him about you being my first kiss...kisses I guess..." she giggled and doesn't help unparalyzing this body of mine.
She pulled herself back then turned around, "Don't worry, I'm happy with your best friend. It'll be unpleasant if he knew why we were always taking so long in the library"
Oh..yea I remember, I didn't knew he already had a crush on her that time.
This girl really knows how to pack a punch of guilt, "Yeah no worries.." as soon as she glanced back, I smiled.
"Yeah no worries, you're pretty good at forgetting after all" she looked back at me with a glaring face which I find cute ever since. Still, that statement caught me off guard.
"Haha what do you mean?" for obvious reasons, her eyes got more intimidating.
"I mean of course, I didn't forget everything. I can't forget a girl like you it's just~!"
*Ring ringggggggggggg
My phone buzzed, stopping me mid sentence. Even though I want to finish, it might be very urgent so I took my phone to see who's calling atleast.
Of course, just like Luce, she teleported near me enough to see the caller's ID. It's Girl Jordan...
"It was just those distractions, am I right?" she looked sternly at me before she walked pass me.
"I'm gonna go now, you should probably take the call outside the store and get on your date Linc." she looked back for a second and gave me a somewhat sad smile.
"Don't leave her waiting..."
and then she went off, it took me minutes to analyzed what just happened and to realize I missed the call.
Crap! Jordan!
I called back as soon as possible, outside the store of course. I couldn't help but get frantic over Haiku's words and the call.
Jordan picked it up quickly, "Hey~ sorry I was in the bookstore my phone was silent. So yeah, are you here now?"
"Yeah I'm actually in front of the cafe."
"Oh! Sorry! I'm on my way now!"
"Yeah sure see ya!"
I walked as fast as I could, I didn't notice the time! So much for getting here early.
I could see the cafe from where I'm still brisk walking, but no signs of Girl Jordan. Where is she?...
Still couldn't find her 'til I found that familiar braided blonde hair, with flowers. I could only see her back but I'm one hundred percent sure that's her...
and so I tapped her shoulder then she turned around, orrr a Princess Rapunzel.
"Hey Loud! You're late" she smirked.
She really looks like Rapunzel from Tangled but wearing a denim jacket with a striped shirt partnered with a skirt. Cute
"Nahh you're just early" I smirked back and opened the cafe's door for her as we entered.
and at the second floor, just on top of the cafe, is the three ladies still gossiping about the movie.
Chapter 18 End
Yup I'm still alive, but I might be dead any time now out of boredom so I suddenly! remebered! I have an unfinished fic, congrats on still reading this, it's been 3 years lol. We can't get enough of the fact Lincoln has potential harem everyday in his entire life.
Hope you're doing fine, there will be better days, I promise, but not a better grammer or spilling or plot sorry.
