Forest
Killua was bolting through the forest, staying up high by jumping from branch to branch on the trees. He had the turtle in hand. He said, "No sign of her yet. Not even any tracks."
Giorno said, "Keep the search going."
Yang opened the minifridge and found several cans of soda and water bottles. She said, "Anybody want a soda?"
Kirishima said, "I'm good."
Gon said, "No thank you, Ms. Yang."
Josuke said, "Yeah, I'll have one."
Yang tossed it to Josuke with surprising force and speed. He summoned Crazy Diamond, who shouted, "DORA!" as it grabbed the can out of the air.
Yang said, "Sorry about that, Josuke."
Josuke replied, "Hell of an arm you got there. Where are you and your sister from? Is everybody there that strong or are you the exception?"
Yang explained, "Our world is called Remnant. My sister and I were training to become Huntresses. We fight using a spiritual aura. I guess its similar to Gon and Killua's nen. We have unique expressions of aura called semblances."
Gon said, "Nen works like that too in our world. We can power up on our own, but hatsu is how we make it our own."
Yang said, "Really? My semblance makes me absorb damage with my aura, and punch with back that damage twice as hard. I'm guessing Killua's hatsu gives him electric powers."
Gon said, "Yeah. I use my hatsu to strengthen my fist. I call it, 'Jajanken: rock'"
Yang said, "We might be able to combo that with my semblance in some way whenever we fight Xivu Arath."
Garnet said, "I see multiple futures where that would be effective."
Gon said, "You can see the future?"
Garnet said, "Not exactly. I can tell how likely certain events are to happen. Time is constantly changing and shifting from a number of factors. It's impossible to be certain where an event will lead. I can see the likelihood of multiple events. Against a more predictable opponent it's most effective since I can see their movements long before they happen."
Kirishima was rummaging through the closet in the room, and something dropped from a shelf above him. It was wrapped in a cloth. He unwrapped it and found a golden encrusted arrowhead. Kirishima asked, "Hey Giorno. What's this?"
Giorno quickly ran to grab it from him and re-wrapped it. He said, "Try not to touch that. In our world, it's these arrowheads that gives us stands. If your skin or hand is pierced by the arrow, you either die by a fever or you gain a stand. This particular arrow is dangerous. It's the requiem arrow, and if used incorrectly you could gain a stand powerful to dangerous or powerful to control. I used it on myself in a battle against an opponent to make Gold Experience Requiem. I ended up locking him in a time loop where he'd be forced to relive wildly varying deaths over and over for eternity. This arrowhead is too dangerous and powerful for any of us or them to have. That's why I keep it here."
He placed it back on the shelf and Kirishima said, "Woah. Sorry, guy."
Killua suddenly said, "Everyone quiet. I think I see her."
The entire room suddenly quieted down. Killua landed on a high branch on a tree. He looked down at Xivu Arath. She was kneeled down eating a rabbit with her hands. Her mouth and hands were drenched with blood. Suddenly she looked forward and sighed. She said, "What is it, brother? I am eating."
Suddenly, a massive gaseous form of Oryx's head appeared in front of her. His voice shook Killua to his core. Oryx said, "What is the status of your mission, sister?"
Xivu Arath replied, "I've faced a few new adversaries. One of which is your former soldier, Izuku Midoriya."
Oryx said, "I assume finishing him off was child's play?"
Xivu Arath said, "The power is fading, but there's something else within him. I saw it in spurts while we were fighting. He actually managed to wound me."
She turned her cheek to Oryx, showing it was still cracked and bleeding from Midoriya's kick. Oryx said, "That is intriguing, but if it still hasn't healed, it's best you eliminate him and any other fighters who use no weapons."
Xivu Arath said, "About that, I'm more than likely going to be a while. Even as I become more adjusted to this new body, I still have not been challenged like these people. And there's more of them to fight. I can't just let them go to waste by killing them as soon as we fight."
Oryx said, "I understand, but don't jeopardize this mission because you want some excitement. Unless you're absolutely certain you can hold your own don't hesitate."
Xivu Arath said, "I can hold my own. They won't get the better of me."
Oryx said, "Are you certain? Because someone has been watching our entire conversation and haven't even noticed."
Killua's eyes widened and he thought, What? He's bluffing. He can't actually know I'm here.
Xivu Arath said, "Oh I noticed him making his way toward me long before you contacted me. I was just curious if he'd be stupid enough to try a sneak attack. Now if you'll excuse me..."
The body dissipated and Xivu Arath stood up, her back to Killua. She said, "I know you heard all that. You in the trees."
Killua began sweating nervously as his heart began beating faster.
"You were surprisingly light on your feet. You kept your breathing and heartbeat low. An assassin in a previous life perhaps?"
Killua's eyes widened as his heart began beating faster.
"A faster heatbeat. I must be on the right track. You should know assassins are the type of person I hate the most. A true warrior faces their targets head on. So if you try to attack me with my back turned, the instant you're in range, I will grab you and crush your skull. Don't try and run away either. Even in my current state I could catch you running at top speed. Cowards are my second least favorite type of person. Try to run, and the moment I catch you, I will slowly pull every limb off your body. I start with genitalia. Cowards hardly deserve them."
Xivu Arath giggled at her minor joke. This caused Killua's heart to start racing as sweat began pouring down his head. He thought What do I do?
"Your heart is beating faster and sweat is pouring down your head. Your terror is quite palpable. Come on down now. Five...four...three..."
Killua finally dropped from the trees and began walking outwards into the clearing. He was shivering and doing the best to hide his sweat. Xivu Arath said, "A child? You're younger than Izuku Midoriya yet you moved faster than him. Interesting."
Killua kept the turtle behind his back. Inside the group was silent.
Killua said, "That bruise on your cheek. Did Izuku do that to you?"
Xivu Arath chuckled and said, "It's nothing. Just a battle scar to add to this body."
Killua said, "From what I heard, you healed from wounds instantly. Why is that mark still there?"
Killua brought out one hand and flexed it, causing razor sharp claws to emerge from his fingertips.
Xivu Arath replied, "I'll only answer if you tell me what you hide behind your back?"
Killua grinned and shouted, "Now!"
He threw the turtle on the ground in front of him, and each and every one of the fighters inside popped out, ready to battle. Garnet said, "Howdy. Bang."
Xivu Arath drew her swords and said, "Let's dance!"
Gon said, "Cover me!"
The second she heard that she turned to Gon and rushed him. Kirishima ran and hardened his arms into a cross guard. In one strike she broke through his guard, sending him flying over Gon. When she tried to go for Gon, Garnet grabbed Xivu Arath, throwing her overhead.
Xivu Arath quickly recovered, blocking a coming kick from Killua and pushing him away. Toph and Diane began shifting the ground underneath her creating many stalagmites that pushed her into the air at an angle. She maintained her footing enough to stay on the tip of the formation, but was still in a disadvantageous position.
Garnet and Sato took advantage of this momentary vulnerability closing the distance to punch her. She ran forward, sliding on her knees down the formation and ducking backwards evading both their punches while grabbing both of them.
She slammed them both into the rock formation and jumped up to evade another barrage of shifting earth from Toph and Diane. When she landed she was face to face with Gon, who was charging up some sort of ball of energy in his fist. He yelled, "First comes rock! JAN! KEN!"
Xivu Arath prepared to dodge, but Jotaro shouted, "Star Platinum! The World!"
A burst of energy emanated from Star Platinum, bringing time to a standstill. Everything was suspended in frozen silence. Jotaro said, "Good grief, kid. Maybe try not to charge up an attack like that right in front of your target. Makes it easier for them to dodge."
Star Platinum grabbed Gon and placed him directly behind Xivu Arath. For good measure he had Star Platinum punch her in the stomach a few times. He said, "Alright. Time in."
Time resumed as Gon finished his phrase. Xivu Arath suddenly flew backwards from Star Platinum's punches right into Gon's attack.
"ROCK!"
He threw the fist forward successfully hitting Xivu in the back and sending her flying forwards. She summoned Kratos' chain blades, and wrapped them around Gon and Jotaro quickly, throwing them into Toph. She then barreled through Sato and Ojiro, jumping up to strike Diane in the face. She blocked the first strike, but was unprepared for the speed of Xivu's second strike that threw her back.
Josuke and Giorno summoned their stands. Giorno began punching the stalagmites Toph and Diane had created. Gold Experience shouted "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!"
The rocks shattered and began shifting into flies, which began buzzing towards the other fighters. Giorno yelled, "Whatever you do, don't swat these flies!"
Josuke and Garnet engaged Xivu Arath. Both rapid punched her from two angles, Garnet with gauntlets and Josuke with Crazy Diamond. Josuke's stand shouted out, "DO RA RA RA RA RA RA RA!"
Xivu Arath held her arms together in a guard, keeping a strong, firm stance as the barrage from the two continued. Josuke yelled, "How much can this bitch take?!"
Suddenly, Josuke felt a sharp pain between his knuckles. Crazy Diamond pulled back seeing a cut between its middle and ring finger. Xivu Arath revealed the curved edge of a blade peaking from her arm. She flicked it outwards, and Kratos' axe dropped forward. She grabbed it, hitting Garnet in the stomach, freezing her in place. One of the flies began buzzing around her head. She swatted one of them, and suddenly felt a massive pain surge through her back.
Giorno said, "An attack on Gold Experience's life is an attack on ones self."
Killua took the brief vulnerability to jump on Xivu Arath's back and place his lightning infused hands on her head. It sent several electric shocks through her body, causing her to scream in pain.
Killua yelled, "I think we found your weakness!"
Xivu Arath continued to scream as her body was weakened by the electrical surge. Yang grabbed her arm while Sato grabbed her other arm to prevent her from attacking Killua. Suddenly, she exploded into a puff of smoke, seemingly vanishing. The axe in Garnet's stomach turned to dust as her body thawed out.
Giorno said, "Something's wrong. It shouldn't have been that easy. Nobody gives themselves the name 'Goddess of War' so lightly."
Diane said, "That's...that's exactly what happens when Meliodas uses one of his copies, and they die."
Toph got up and said, "That means we were just fighting her copy all this time! Why would she even bother?"
Killua said, "Maybe she sensed me coming further back than I thought. Why waste the energy, why not do it herself?"
Kirishima said, "Deku. She made this copy to keep us distracted while she went after Deku!"
Garnet tried to contact Abraxas. She said, "This is Garnet, contacting Abraxas."
Uraraka answered, "Hi Garnet. What's up?"
Garnet replied, "Where is Deku? We think Xivu Arath is coming for him."
She said, "I think he went back to rest in the Boar Hat. Hold on. Hey! Is Deku in there?!"
A faint voice that sounded like Ban answered, "No! I thought he was with you!"
"You guys don't think that..." she shuddered. They realized what happened, and how dangerously swift their opponent was.
Garnet said, "We need to move and find them, now."
Killua charged his electricity.
Snowy mountains
Midoriya woke up to the gentle snow blowing against his face. There was a fire blowing in front of him, and he felt a noticeable bruise on his head. When he began to come to, he saw Xivu Arath sitting in front of the campfire. She had a bloody carcass in her hand and blood drenched jaws. She had clearly been eating whatever animal it used to be. She brought it to her mouth again and took another bite, chewing it thoroughly. The entire time she kept a close eye on Izuku. When she swallowed she said, "You're awake. Good."
Izuku shot upwards when he realized who she was. She took a deep breath and said, "You must have a lot of questions. I'm ready to answer any you may have."
Izuku said, "Why am I still alive?"
Xivu Arath said, "I saw a lot of potential in our last battle. I don't know if it's still One for All, or something else. I want to bring out that potential in whatever ways possible."
His eyes widened and he asked, "How did you know it was called One for All?"
Xivu Arath explained, "When you're taken, your memories began to blend into my own. It took forever to make sense of them. When you view a memory, it's viewed in isolation, and what happened before or after is irrelevant. Imagine trying to shuffle years worth of memories from 10 different individuals. It was yours that intrigued me the most. The farthest back I'm able to go is your first encounter with All Might."
Izuku asked, "So what do you want from me?"
She replied, "To train you. We will unlock the secrets of your strength in due time. If you willingly train with me, I will not pursue your friends. They will be left alone. If not, there's nothing stopping me from tearing them to pieces. I'll give you time to decide, but there aren't many possible options."
Izuku sat in silence as he began talking to himself.
If she wanted me dead, I'd be dead already. Who knows how long we've been out here? I can't just run away. She's too fast. The best thing I can do to keep them safe is just to play along with her.
He spoke, "I'll do it. I'll train with you."
Xivu Arath said, "Excellent. Let's get started."
