A/N: Okay, I am going to put in the Terminal in this one before the mission because they will have no idea how the Flood steals their memories to find something very useful for them. Just to let you know, the Halloween special's synopsis is going to be shown soon. There's not going to be much reaction when they play the mission due to the shock of the terminal.

Run was sitting on the couch on one side of the room with Sheele leaning on him happily as he began thinking of Delta's response to his question about who released the Flood.
"The Prophet of Stewardship ordered such a thing. The Fleet Master was angry that he took over without consent." He remembered and he wondered who this Fleet Master was exactly.
"Pardon me Delta, but is it alright if I ask you a question?" He said and Delta turned to him.
"Yes Reclaimer, feel free to ask anything." She replied respectfully.
"You said that the Fleet Master was angry that this Prophet of Stewardship took control without consent but I been wondering who this Fleet Master is?" He asked. This got everyone's attention as they began wondering who he was.
Delta paused for a second in slight hesitation of their possible reactions but decided to elaborate.
"Alright but don't get enraged when you hear it please." She replied as she knows he's the same one who led the attack on Reach and multiple campaigns to exterminate human colonies. However this only got the audience's attention even more.
"The Fleet Master's name is... Thel 'Vadamee." She revealed nervously.
In an instance there was a collective of "What!", "Him!" and "The Elite that slaughtered over a billion innocent lives!"
"I knew this would happen." Delta sighed loudly.
"He needs to pay for what he's done!" Tatsumi said with gritted teeth.
"Eliminate." Akame said darkly.
"Hope we get to kill him..." Leone says cracking her fists.
"Bastard." Najenda and Lubbock said.
"Well this will be interesting." Esdeath said in her head.
"Alright, alright I get it, you humans don't like him. But you don't know him personally, you haven't seen it from his perspective Reclaimers so let's calm down." Delta said trying to cool the wrathful environment.
"He's killed over a billion people in cold blood!" Mine said "He deserves no mercy!"
"Yes he's killed more than a billion people but I shall let you know that he is not like Esdeath, he's not a sadist. He's a honourable admiral more similar to Budo then Esdeath Reclaimer." Delta counters.
"Yeah right I doubt that." Najenda said with venom. Too her, he was nothing more but another Esdeath in her mind.
"Again Reclaimer you don't know him personally yet, you haven't seen his story, and you haven't seen how much more honourable he is. At least he gave his opponents a fighting chance unlike Esdeath and didn't fight for a nonsensical self-defeating philosophy that values only selfishness above all others."
Delta gestures to the blue haired woman who chooses to ignores Delta. "And his armies were far more organized with warriors who were simply fighting for the Covenant not for themselves. He is NOT like Esdeath at all. He was just following orders from the Hierarchs because he thought at that point of time that he was doing the right thing for the betterment of the Covenant as all of the Elites did also." Delta countered defending Thel 'Vadamee.
"I believe it is best for you to know more before you decide to judge Reclaimer." Delta said ending the subject for now and floating back to the seat next to Dorothea.
As soon as everyone calmed down, the screen changed to a terminal.
"Hmm?" some of them said.
"Oh no." Delta realised what this terminal was.
As the next Terminal plays everyone even Esdeath feel a sensation of dread and primordial fear as the cutscene plays on screen with an eerily growth covering it.
(Cutscene)

Fade in to Jacob Keyes' eyes. They are shut, with a pained expression.
"Oh my gosh...is he alright...?" Sheele asked with futile hope as she was shaking as she was getting scared.
"I'm afraid not Reclaimer..." Delta replied as she knows what's happening to Keyes exactly.
Akame tried her best to keep her fears of what was happening at rest but her usual stoic face was being overpowered with horror.
Jacob Keyes: "I, forgot something..."
A bright sun rises amidst a cloudy sky.
Jacob Keyes: "What did I- My name. I forgot... Oh! Uh... Keyes, Jacob. Captain. Service number 01928-19912-JK."
"What is happening... to him...?" Cosmina tried to ask.
"Keep watching Reclaimer." Delta stated.
Keyes' name patch and medals are shown.
Fade to black, then to Keyes' closed eyes.
Jacob Keyes: "What is that noise? What is that damned noise?!"
"What noise is he talking about..?" Leone asked shaken.
"Something the Flood use to gather information." Delta said darkly.
Keyes imagines himself standing at attention in uniform, saluting.
Jacob Keyes: "Where am I?"
Keyes' memories take him back to the Flood containment facility, as his contingent of Marines battle the Flood. All hell breaks loose in slow-motion; every sound is distorted as though underwater.
"Oh my God..." Chelsea muttered as she inched closer to Tatsumi for comfort.
"Now this is scary." Lubbock said uncomfortably as he watched the scene.
The Marines open fire at a charging combat form, to little effect. A Marine runs away from a horde of Flood as another is overwhelmed behind him. Keyes is shown, screaming with an infection form latched on to the back of his neck.
"I don't like where this story is going." Wave uttered.
Jacob Keyes: "Covenant captured me. Didn't they? I - I can't, I can't remember..."
"Why can't Keyes remember what happened?" Suzuka asked as she felt uncomfortably horrified at what happening. Soon however she would get her answer immediately.
Keyes' eyes have opened. He is now part of the Proto-Gravemind.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" Mine exclaimed when she saw the flesh.
"What in the name of justice is that thing!" Seryu screamed shakenly.
"That there Reclaimers, is the first stage of the Flood's hivemind. This is known a Proto Gravemind after they leave what is known as the Feral Stage. They become more coordinated and tactical and they are made out of several dozen corpses and individuals that were assimilated... alive." Delta revealed with a sad expression.
"Ugh...I don't think I feel so good..." Leone said as put both her hands on her mouth as she was about to hurl, she wished she didn't drink that much alcohol earlier.
"Lubbock is it okay that I hide behind you... please?" Mez asked pleading her hair covering her eyes.
"Oh...um sure." Lubbock replied nervously with a slight blush on his face. And so Mez got up and hid behind Lubbock wrapping her arms around him tightly while shaking.
Cosmina was hiding behind the couch again in fright as she didn't want to imagine what it was like to be infected by the Flood.
"Disgusting." Suzuka said with disgust. Even she was horrified by what the Flood were doing.
Keyes imagines himself standing at attention again.
Jacob Keyes: "Keyes, Jacob..."
The Keyes standing at attention screams as his arm mutates to that of a Flood combat form. Blood pours out of his stomach.
Everyone including Akame and Esdeath visibly flinched when they saw the transformation. They could only imagine the sheer amount of pain and agony he was going through.
"Oh my..." Chelsea uttered frighteningly as she tightened her hand around Tatsumi's wrist.
Jacob Keyes: "Oh, God... It hurts!"
A partially-infected Keyes is shown firing an assault rifle.
"He was... infected." Wave stating the obvious.
"Damn it Keyes, if only you and your squad didn't go into that room." Najenda said tightening her metal fist at the knowledge of the captain's capture.
Jacob Keyes: "This - will - never - work, you Covenant bastards! I'll never lead you to Earth!"
"He thinks he's been captured by the Covenant?" Esdeath asked. To which Delta replied.
"Correct he doesn't realize it yet because the Flood are forcefully ripping his memories apart causing both physical and mental agony." She replied. "Even you Esdeath would succumb to the same fate if they were here because they would want your knowledge and they would definitely give you worse treatment then what you did to your victims." Delta said with malice as she knows what Esdeath has done in her time in the Empire.
Esdeath glared at the monitor, but the monitor didn't flinch. "You may say you are fearless but you're sacrificing your own humanity in the name of power tells me otherwise. The Flood, they don't care what you think, they don't care about your philosophy, they care only to consume and show their victims the worst of pain and agony. Imagine them setting upon you mental scenario after scenario of you and your loved ones and comrades dying and being consumed, imagine them ripping your memories away and replacing it with new ones, imagine them mocking your very existence and flawed hypocritical beliefs. They have done this before and they will do it again and even you are not above their reach Reclaimer and they surely do not fear you." Delta said without any hesitation to Esdeath as she revealed the details of what they would do to her if they assimilated the Empire's strongest.
This only served to fuel the general's anger but also set in the seeds of doubt and fear into her very soul.
The UNSC Home Fleet is shown in Earth orbit. Fade through a human city, a desert highway, and Sydney Harbour at night.
"So this is Earth?" Tatsumi asked trying to ignore the horrifying images.
"Affirmative, homeworld of humanity and filled with over 8 billion individuals." Delta answered.
Jacob Keyes: "Keyes, Jacob... Captain. Service number...01928-19912-JK."
Human teeth flash for a moment.
Jacob Keyes: "Oh God. You don't want Earth...you want everything! Get out of my head!"
Keyes' eyes look around in terror. A human combat form flashes by, as Keyes screams again.
The Proto Gravemind's full form is revealed on screen for everyone to see with Keyes partially assimilated.
In an instance Leone and Mine throws up in a bucket Delta materialized for them. As everyone including Esdeath is horrified and wide eyed at the abomination's form. Chelsea can't bear to look at it and places her head on Tatsumi shoulder.
"GOOD GOD!" Tatsumi exclaimed.
"KILL IT WITH FIRE!" Mine yelled as she was finished throwing up.
Akame looks away from the cosmic abomination as she will be having nightmares worse than her time as an assassin for the Empire now. Kurome doesn't closes her eyes tightly as she clings on Wave who can't bear to watch anymore. Tears started to come out of her eyes as this was giving her bad flashbacks.
Run can only just hug Sheele, who was crying tightly and growled in anger as he could already imagine his deceased students being reanimated by this... this demonic entity.
Bols could only slowly shield his eyes with his hands as he didn't want to imagine this monster assimilating his wife and daughter. Susanoo, Najenda, and Esdeath only reaction was closing their eyes from the scene with Najenda gritting her teeth.
Gravemind: "Everything..."
Jacob imagines his daughter Miranda, as an adult and in her uniform.
Jacob Keyes: "Miranda...? Is that you?"
"Who... who is that...?" Seryu tried to ask but shuttered as she had barely recovered from seeing the Proto Gravemind for the first time.
"That is Keyes' daughter Reclaimer." Delta responded with sorrow.
"Oh...oh no..." Bols could only say.
Gravemind: "Forget everything."
Fade to another shot of Miranda, who vacantly nods her head.
"What is... what's happening?" Dorothea asked horrified.
"The Proto Gravemind proceeding to take away his memories and strip him from his very identity and... it is taking great pleasure from his suffering." Delta responded.
Everyone was even more horrified at what it was doing to Keyes and only wanted to end his agonising torture. Esdeath began visibly shaking at this knowledge as she could only imagine what it would do to her and Tatsumi.
Jacob Keyes: "No. Please! Don't let me forget-"
Miranda slowly fades to black, as Keyes' memories of her are taken from him. Keyes strains in effort.
"Good God will someone just put him out of his misery already!" Leone exclaimed, she prayed Sergeant Johnson didn't suffer the same fate.
Jacob Keyes: "-Keyes, Jacob..."
"He's in so much pain, he's crying blood..." Sheele uttered as her tears were dripping from her cheeks.
Cut to a swinging ceiling fan, then to a young Catherine Halsey in a nightgown.
Jacob Keyes: "Captain. Service number...01928-19912-JK!"
A human Flood combat form darts around with inhuman speed.
"I think I'm going to be having nightmares from this." Bulat said.
Cut to the Proto-Gravemind.
Gravemind: "No more, what you were. Memories..."
Keyes is standing in uniform, then shaking hands with Halsey.
Gravemind: "Emotions..."
Flashes of memory. Keyes is standing in a starship's bridge, taking a walk with Halsey, holding a slip of paper, two Marines in battle dress. Cut to black.
Gravemind: "All is now ours."
"You bastard..." Tatsumi angrily said with gritted teeth. He hated the Flood for what they were doing to Keyes and all of those marines and dare he said it even the Covenant out of pleasure. This was just too much for them to watch.
Esdeath truly was horrified at the thought of her losing her memories by force and turned into this demon's plaything.
Keyes has now lost all trace of fear, showing only determination
"Come on, please Keyes hang on just a little longer!" Leone said.
Jacob Keyes: "Keyes, Jacob. Captain. Service number 01928-19912-JK!"
Keyes' voice grows more and more distorted, matching the Gravemind's.
Jacob Keyes: "You will not! Have! Me!"
Cut to black.
Gravemind: "...we already do."
Night Raid, Jaegers, the two remaining members of Wild Hunt and Rakshasa Demons, and even Esdeath shivered at what the Gravemind said as it became apparent it was hopeless for Keyes to survive this and that he would suffer a fate worse than death. Delta simply turned away from the screen knowing what will happen.
Without hesitation, Tatsumi, Mine, Akame and Kurome picked up the controller and played the next mission to try to end Keyes' suffering.
Under New Management
View flies through a canyon filled with pools of reactor coolant under the Truth and Reconciliation. The CCS-class battlecruiser is resting on the top of the canyon, heavily damaged. The Flood and Covenant forces are fighting all throughout the region.
Cortana: "The Covenant network is in absolute chaos! From what I've been able to piece together, their leadership ordered all ships to abandon Halo when they found the Flood, but they were too late. The Flood overwhelmed this cruiser and disabled it. The Covenant are terrified the Flood will repair the ship and use it to escape from Halo. They've sent in a strike team to neutralize the Flood and repair the ship for immediate departure. I've got a good lock on Captain Keyes' CNI transponder signal! He's alive! And the implants are intact! There's some interference from the cruiser's damaged reactor. I'll bring us in as close as I can."
"Yes, end his suffering!" Leone exclaimed as she and the others couldn't bear his suffering.
John-117 teleports into the end of a corridor in the cruiser. The view flips over, upside down, and the Master Chief falls on his head; he was teleported in upside down.
Cortana: "Ohh... I see, the coordinate data needs to be— "
The Master Chief whacks the side of his head with his fist as he stands up.
Cortana: "Right. Sorry."
Some who recovered from the nightmare snicked at this.
(Gameplay)
The four begins to walk down the hallway.
Captain Jacob KeyesCOM: (weakly) "Chief... Don't be a fool. Leave me..."
"We aren't leaving you; we're going to end your suffering!" Dorothea said.
Cortana: "Captain? Captain?! I've lost him..."
The four encounters a small group of Unggoy fighting the Flood; they are soon overwhelmed. The four eliminates the Flood, continues down the hallway, and gets to one of the hangar bays. A large hole in the floor is just past the door, blocking the four's progress. Several Sangheili are present in the area beyond, fighting more Flood.
Cortana: "Analyzing damage... This hole was caused by some kind of explosive. Very powerful if it tore through a ship's hull. All I detect down there are pools of coolant. We should continue our search somewhere else."
After staying in that corridor for a few moments, Flood begin dropping out of a hole in the ceiling behind the four, cutting them off.
"Oh, just how many are there!?" Leone asked in irritation.
Cortana: "Warning! Threat level increasing!"
The four fights off the increasing horde of Flood for a few more moments.
Cortana: "That jump into the coolant is looking better all the time, Chief!"
(Cutscene)
The Master Chief falls into a large pool of coolant, which breaks his fall. View begins under-coolant. Covenant and Flood are heavily engaged around the pool.
{Gameplay}
Cortana: "Let's get out of here, and find another way back aboard the ship."
The four navigates the area, interrupting fights between beleaguered Covenant troops and Flood forms.
Cortana: "We should head this way, towards the ship's gravity lift."
A navigation point appears on the Chief's heads-up display. He continues to head toward the gravity lift. Eventually reaching an overhang, the Chief is able to see a pair of Mgalekgolo engaged with masses of Flood carrier forms.
"You Flood bastards are going to pay!" Mine shouted as she shot a combat off the edge of the cliff.
"Now, this is it." Tatsumi agreed as they managed to reach the area.
Cortana: "The crash did more damage than I suspected. Analyzing. Coolant leakage rate is significant. The ship's reactor should already have gone critical."
The four fights their way through more Covenant and Flood forces until he finally reaches the gravity lift. Several Sangheili and Unggoy furiously defend the gravity lift from increasing numbers of Flood, desperately trying to prevent the parasitic creatures from entering the Truth and Reconciliation.
Cortana: "Power source detected. There's the gravity lift. It's still operational! That's our way back in!"
Once the area is cleared, the four takes the gravity lift back inside the ship:
(Cutscene)
The Chief, standing in the gravity lift, looks up and flies up into the Truth and Reconciliation.
Upstairs, Downstairs
{Gameplay}
The four arrives at the gravity lift bay, which is strewn with dead Covenant troops. Blood is splattered all around. A few Infection Forms wander around.
Cortana: "We should be able to get into the ship's control room from here."
The four finds an unlocked door and walks through it.
Cortana: "The Covenant Battlenet is a mess. I can't access the ship's schematics. My records indicate that a shuttle bay should be... here."
Cortana marks the spot with a navigation point.
Fighting his way through multiple Flood carrier forms, the Spartan eventually reaches the nav point, it turns out to be a cargo bay. Flood forms walk around the area, guarding the corpses of dead Covenant troops in the corners.
"Holy…." Leone said before she holds her vomit in her mouth.
"Okay, that will give us nightmares for a very long time." Wave agreed.
Cortana: "Look, in the corners. The Flood are gathering bodies here."
After fighting through hordes of Flood, the four finds more living Covenant. He continues on, reaching the shuttle bay. Akame and Kurome fend off against both Covenant and Flood forces on one side while Mine and Tatsumi were doing the same in the other side.
Cortana: "Looks like another shuttle bay. We should be able to reach the control room from the third level."
KeyesCOM: (pained) "I... gave you an order, soldier! Now pull out!"
Cortana: "He's delirious! In pain! We have to find him!"
A group of Sangheili hold the center of the shuttle bay, using a Shade turret to provide supporting fire while a single Mgalekgolo and other Covenant troops fight the Flood in the corridors. The four ascends through the corridors and reaches the third floor.
Cortana: "The control room should be... this way."
She assigns another navigation point. A Spirit dropship enters the open shuttle bay doors and disperses a group of black-armored Covenant soldiers in the lowest area of the bay. The ourf battles through more Flood guarding the open door that the navigation point directs him to. Killing all hostiles, the Chief follows the navigation point, venturing deeper into the chaotic hallways.
The Captain
Keyes screams over the COM channel in agony.
Cortana: "The Captain! His vitals are fading! Please, Chief, hurry!"
The four eliminates both Covenant troops and Flood forms outside the bridge. He then enters the bridge and walks up the ramp leading to the command center.
All looked at the Proto-Gravemind in disgust of what it did to Keyes.
The Chief aims his weapon at the Proto-Gravemind sitting on the command center in the bridge as he walks up to the raised platform. The Captain's face sticks out of it, with his body dangling below, deformed.
Cortana: "No human life-signs detected. The Captain! He's...one of them!"
"We're too late!" Leone said in sorrow.
The Chief stares at what's left of Keyes.
Cortana: "We can't let the Flood get off this ring! You know what he'd expect- What he'd want us to do."
Master Chief punches into Keyes' skull, sticking his hand inside. He pulls out the neural implants, shakes the Flood biomass off of them, and inserts them into his helmet.
"Keyes would thank you." Tatsumi uttered as Chief finally ends his suffering.
Cortana: (quietly) "It's done, I have the code. We should go."
{Gameplay}
Cortana: "We need to get back to the Pillar of Autumn. Let's go back to the shuttle bay and find a ride."
Side doors open and hordes of Flood forms charge into the bridge. At the same time, the doors the Chief entered through open up to reveal a Covenant Special Operations team. A huge firefight ensues.
Once the returns to the shuttle bay, another Covenant Spirit dropship enters the hangar, dropping off more troops, escorted by two Banshees. The Banshees land, and their Sangheili pilots jump out.
Cortana: "Perfect. Grab one of the escort Banshees, and we'll use it to return to the Pillar of Autumn."
The Chief, after fighting through Covenant Special Operations troops and Flood forms, eventually reaches the lowest level of the shuttle bay and steals one of the Banshees. (Alternatively for Akame and Kurome, they just jump off upper level and skip most of the fighting.)
{Cutscene}
The Chief, onboard the Banshee, flies out of the hangar. Multiple Covenant infantry and a Shade turret fire at him, but the Banshee quickly flies out of range.
Fades to black.
Level ends.
As the level ends, everyone was know thinking about Keyes' death. It was one of the most brutalist if not more inhuman than anything Night Raid had witness. Bols felt sorry for him that the Flood made him forget about his daughter, and everyone now hates the Flood with pure hatred and contempt at how the Flood tortures their victims.
"I advise all of you to take at least two hours of rest." Delta advised all of them. "Use that time to take your mind off that horrific scene."
Taking the Monitor's advice, everyone except Delta left the room to try to get their heads off that scene. Delta and the Engineer just tidied up the room, as none of them could even think properly. But they're not the only ones…..
MEANWHILE IN THE PARK…
Benson immediately threw up his gumballs in the floor and Pops started crying in fear as all of the groundskeepers saw what the Flood did to Keyes.
"Ugh, sick!" Mordecai retorted in disgust.
"Okay, this is straight out from a horror movie." Rigby admitted as he was hiding his fears from the Flood.
"Okay, we need to continue this game so we can clean all of this mess." Benson added as he would want to fire Mordecai and Rigby, but couldn't as he was still trying to recover from seeing the Proto-Gravemind.
AT THE OCCULT RESEARCH CLUB
All of the members looked in pure horror at how they torture their victims into assimilating into a hivemind. Kiba then grabbed his left wrist tightly as he remembered that he was being experiment for the Holy Sword Project.
"Damn, that was pretty cruel." Issei admitted.
"I agree." Asia said as she was being hugged.
"I need to go somewhere." Irina said while both of her were in her mouth and soon exited the room to throw up somewhere.
"That has to be one of the sickest death I have ever witness." Rias admitted as she really wants to forget about this.
"My my, there are other people who has the same reaction as you." Akeno acknowledge her friend as she knows that other people will be truly horrified by it.
ELSEWHERE IN THE TOJOU HOUSEHOLD….
None of them uttered a single word. As they saw Keyes being assimilated by the Flood from what is known as the Proto-Gravemind. Chisato was truly horrified of what the Flood were just doing to their victims. And it was all out of pleasure.
Mio was growling in anger at the Flood since it reminded her of what Zoglar did to her "family". Luckily, Maria just patted her back to make her calm down.
Celis was still crying in shocked about that and a Revelation. After they all listened to the origins of the Flood, there was a glitch in their TV and a voice coming out of it. It then mockingly taunted them saying that the Heroes Clan was only created to be Cannon Fodders against the Flood and they were just the Divine God's plaything.
That made her angry and angrily she shouted at the TV for saying such a blasphemy, to which it mockingly responded by saying that she and all of the members of the Heroes Clan was nothing special and never cared by the Divine Gods, which made her breakdown in tears. She still wouldn't believe that wasn't true until the Goddess in disguise confirmed it, making her cry even more.
IN BEACON ACADEMY…..
In seeing the Proto-Gravemind, Ruby, Weiss, Pyrrha and Jaune went into the bathrooms and threw up.
"That was truly horrifying." Nora said while trying to make everyone calm down.
"Yeah it was." Yang agreed.
Blake just stood there in horror. It was truly horrifying for her as she and the other members of RWBY and JNPR are going to have nightmares for quite a bit.
"Ughh, can we continue?" Ruby begged as she and the others came back to the dorm room.
ELSEWHERE IN SMASH MANSION…..
Many of the watchers were just hurling in their buckets as they watched Keyes being assimilated into the being known as the Proto-Gravemind.
"Oh God…." That's what Snake could say.
"Man, that was brutal." Sonic admitted.
Samus was breathing heavily, this started to remind her when that bastard Ripley murdered her entire family and her home planet's inhabitant. This was just too much to handle.
FINALLY IN THE ROYAL OFFICE ACADEMY…..
Every member of the Royal Knight Squadron including Yoruka rushed out of the room to throw up. This was very disgusting for them since the Arcadia Empire was still ruling.
"That's so MESSED UP!" Lisesharte exclaimed in horror as she and the other saw Keyes being assimilated.
"Now, now. Let's all calm down." Relie tried to make thinks cool down. But deep inside, she was truly disgusted by the Flood as it reminds her of her younger sister being assimilated into a half Human- Abyss hybrid.
"I don't feel so good." Lux said.
"Try not to throw up." Celis said as she was still recovering from seeing the Proto-Gravemind for the first time.
"I think I'm going to have nightmares." Krulcifer admitted to herself as she was leaning on Lux's shoulder, earning her a glare from Liseharte
That wasn't the only reason that they were all in shock. From what they read in a Manuel that came from someone, the Abyss and the Drag ride and were that of Forerunner origins and that they were created to combat the Flood, which shocks them as they had all believed that the Arcadia Empire were the ones that created them.
