Elliot and Olivia both groaned when they heard the alarm go off on her nightstand, abruptly waking them. Elliot reached over her, slapping his fingers onto the snooze button before wrapping his arms back around Olivia. He felt her stirring though. "Five more minutes."
"Then, hold me like you mean it." Olivia mumbled with a smirk, snuggling closer to his chest.
"Alright, sassy pants." Elliot smiled before pulling her closer. He reached down and grabbed her ass, bringing her hips against his as well. "Is this better? Can I do anything else for you while my hands are at your disposal?"
Olivia giggled, pressing her nose against his neck. "I know your hands can do better than this." She jerked in his embrace with a laugh when he pinched her ass and ultimately brought her even closer to him. She finally opened her eyes to peer up at him, seeing he was just opening his eyes as well. "Good morning."
"Good morning." Elliot smiled before pecking her lips. He sighed contently as he rested his head back against the pillows. He felt her fingers tracing the vertebras of his lower back, digging in and reaching knots only she seemed to know were there. "You slept well."
"Very." Olivia hummed, enjoying the protective embrace he had her forever locked in. "What time is Eli getting dropped off tomorrow?"
"All Kathy said was 'before breakfast.' So, early." Elliot said, glancing at the alarm clock over her shoulder. "Probably around this time. We're going to need a lot of coffee tomorrow." He peered down at her, meeting her eyes. "That is if you're coming over tonight."
Olivia's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Do you want me there?"
Elliot rolled his own eyes, scoffing at her question. "Benson, I want you everywhere." He dropped his forehead to hers when she giggled. "I would love nothing more than for you to be with me. Even if we're going to be crabby and tired all day tomorrow and just sitting around in our sweats eating junk food."
"Then, I would be more than happy to indulge." Olivia grinned, pecking his lips again with her nose pressed to his. "I'll pack bags for Noah and I when I pick out what to wear. I've gotta pick something special since it's our second date tonight."
Elliot leaned down and peppered kisses along her neck, behind her ear. "What were you thinking?"
"Black pants," Olivia grinned when Elliot groaned his approval into her skin. "Black sweater."
Elliot nodded as he continued his path of kisses down towards her collar bone. "Blazer jacket?"
"For the day." Olivia's words shrugged it off, but she was smirking against his ear. "When we storm the place, I'll be wearing kevlar." She chuckled when Elliot pressed his face between her breasts, muffling another groan that had erupted from his chest. "With my badge and the word 'police' written on the chest." She wrapped a leg around him and pulled at him until he lifted onto his knees. She wrapped her other leg around his waist, cupping the back of his head with his face still buried in her chest. "You okay down there?"
Elliot nodded, his nose tickling her sternum. "Can't wait to see what you'll wear on our third date." He reached up under her arms and sat back on his calves before lifting her to sit on his thighs. Her arms wrapped around his neck, holding onto him with only her feet left touching the mattress. He reached up and brushed her brown hair back from her face, behind her ears, as he met her brown eyes. "But, you'll be just as beautiful as you are any other time I see you." He grinned when she rolled her eyes, but he hugged her hips, keeping her perched on his lap. "You are gorgeous, Olivia Benson. You may not believe me, but it's true."
Olivia blushed with a shake of her head before dropping her head to his, her forehead ending up pressed against his nose. "I don't believe you."
"I know." Elliot smiled gently before kissing her forehead, "but that doesn't mean it isn't true."
"The truck is going to look like a food delivery truck." Francis explained to Elliot, Olivia, and their respective teams in another parking garage closer to Louie's neighborhood, off to the corner to avoid being seen. "It will seem like product is being dropped off for the upcoming opening, but it's all going to be drugs. Coccaine, heroin, oxycontin, rohypnol - anything that can earn money or help the people in the community. At least, how he believes he's helping the community."
"You will need to capture it on the camera we gave you." Amanda explained, gesturing towards the devices she had helped him put on. "You also need to get Louie to acknowledge the shipment is for him and what is in the shipment. We need confirmation he knows those drugs are being delivered for him."
Jameson nodded. "Once we have that confirmation and see the delivery is drugs, we will come in and get you out."
"How many guys are delivering the shipment?" Reagan asked, leaning back against the hood of her and Jameson's car.
"Usually, there's three or four guys. Two in back with the drugs and one or two up front in the driver's cab." Francis breathed before glancing around at all of them, his eyes stopping with Elliot and Olivia. "Even if something goes wrong, you need to keep my family safe. They can't come back here."
Olivia shook her head. "They are protected. They won't see New York for a long time either way. Depends on you whether or not you go with them." She tapped her chest, reminding him of the camera hidden in one of his shirt buttons. "Your family sits with us, Francis. Everything else sits on you tonight. We'll hold up our end of the deal."
Francis took a deep breath and shrugged. "What if Louie kills me before any of that stuff can happen? Before I can get the evidence, before I can get back to my family?"
Elliot ran his hand down his face, sighing before he uttered the words that were both blatantly true and horrifyingly distant to the man standing in front of him. "If Louie kills you or orders your death on the spot, we'll be able to arrest him for your murder. We can still do our jobs to take him down." He clenched his teeth together for a breath second, exhaling sharply. "Sorry, Francis, but that's our reality at this point."
Francis looked defeated, but he nodded in understanding. "Can I at least call my wife and kids in case this all goes bad?"
Reagan motioned for him to come over. "You can use our car to take a moment."
As soon as the car door closed with Francis inside, Fin spoke up from his spot next to Amanda. "You know the chances of Louie killing him tonight are higher than the chances of him coming out alive with us during this raid, right?"
"There's also a one hundred percent chance that Louie will kill dozens more if we don't catch him tonight." Elliot nodded, pushing his sunglasses onto his nose. "He's doing this to protect his family, to protect his community. We will do everything we can to get him out, but we will also make sure that he died honorably if it does come to that. Dying for the people you love isn't a bad way to go."
Olivia felt a pang of nerves hit her as Elliot spoke those words. She turned to him, seeing him head towards the driver's door of their car. She moved to the passenger side, climbing in as Elliot started up the engine. She pulled on her own sunglasses as he pulled out of the parking space and drove down the ramps back to street level. He was tense. It radiated off him. "El, what's going on?"
Elliot shook his head, pulling out into traffic. "Just thinking about everything I have to lose now. There's nothing I wouldn't do for my kids, for you, for Noah. It's hard to distance from Francis when I know what it's like to feel like you might lose everything. Knowing that you would give up your life just to protect it."
"I don't want you talking about giving up your life for me. We've talked about this." Olivia breathed, shaking her head. "If I lose you, I lose the one love, outside of Noah, that I won't find anywhere else, that I don't want to find anywhere else." She reached over and grabbed his hand, intertwining their fingers together. "I told you the truth. You're it for me. If you die, you kill a part of me. And, I just got that part back."
"I will do everything to keep it that way." Elliot whispered before pulling their hands up to his mouth, kissing the back of her hand. "I want a lifetime with you."
Fin glanced over his shoulder, looking at Elliot, Olivia, and Amanda double checking weapons and strapping on their kevlar vests. "Louie just showed up, guys. It's show time."
Elliot looked up from his hands helping fasten Olivia in the vest, seeing the screens show the front of the restaurant and Francis's button camera footage. Louie had pulled up in front of the restaurant as was just walking inside like Fin had mentioned. "How many guys on the inside other than Francis?"
"Nobody showed up with Louie and Francis has caught two already in the dining room." Fin sighed, looking back at the cameras. "Once we hit this place, we need everyone to move in. Who knows how many guys Louie has on standby. We don't need to be ambushed in our own ambush." He jutted his chin towards Francis's screen, seeing Louie walk towards him. "There we go."
Amanda walked up behind Fin in the van across the street from the building, observing the footage with him. "Louie may not want to kill him. If he's trying to replace one of his guys with Francis, he wouldn't want to kill him, especially after all the time he's put into him."
"This guy had the mother of his five daughters repeatedly raped, beaten, murdered, and dumped like trash without even reporting her missing." Olivia stated, resting her hands on her hips. "Don't underestimate him."
"Francis," Louie beamed as he walked towards the back of the dining room, seeing Francis and two of his guys hanging around the bar. "Are you ready for your biggest payday yet? You can give your wife and those kids of yours a better place to call home. Hell, if you flaunt the cash off, you might be able to upgrade your wife."
Francis bit his tongue as the other laughed at the crude joke. "How much is coming? What exactly are you paying me for?"
"There's a whole semi coming filled from trailer bottom to trailer top." Louie grinned like he was high himself. The way he was sniffing and snorting every few seconds indicated that as well. "You all are going to have enough to pay your way through retirement and your own funerals."
"Do you really think we need all of that? Wouldn't that take a long time to sell?" Francis asked.
Louie frowned, pointing his finger at him. "Don't worry about my business, Francis. I bought the drugs, and now I need you all to sell them so we can make a profit. I've got college funds to fill. So, stop asking questions."
Francis nodded, glancing at the clock. "The truck should be here any minute. I'll go watch for it from the kitchen."
"The boys can go with you too." Louie waved his hand to his two other confidants. They both stood as if he held a remote control for them. "You'll need help with everything in that truck, and you don't ever want to appear that you're doing this alone."
"We've got a big green semi three blocks away." Reagan said into her walkie, glancing out the car window to see her captain's down the street. She sat with Jameson and a small team of SWAT members. She knew there were a few more vans around with more armed members, waiting for the go ahead. "This has to be our truck, Cap."
"Copy that." Elliot stated into his walkie, watching the screens with the other three in his van. "Do you see how many are in the cab?"
Jameson moved to the back of their vehicle, looking out the windows towards the truck and lifting his hand for Reagan to see. "Looks like there's three in the cab."
"Shit." Elliot breathed.
Olivia pulled her hair back with a hair tie. "That means there could be more than four in that truck." She leaned against the van wall. "With a shipment that large, they might've sent reinforcements."
"Or the shipment is so large, they all had to ride in the front." Fin piped in, still staring at the screens. They all felt the rumble of the semi truck going by before seeing it on their screens. "We're going to find out soon." He glanced up at Elliot. "I'll bet you six thousand dollars I'm right."
"Sorry, Fin." Olivia patted his shoulder, watching the semi circle around and back up towards the restaurant. "We don't gamble that much money."
Elliot lifted the walkie to his mouth. "Semi just parked. Francis and two others have stepped outside." He waited another moment until he saw the guys climb out of the truck's cab. "All passengers in the truck are armed so far as well as both of Louie's guys."
"Is Louie armed?" Jameson's voice came over the speaker this time.
"Don't know about a gun, but we all know he carries that pocket knife around." Elliot reminded his team. "He may not be doing any of his own killing, but we should still consider him dangerous. Use precaution."
"Truck door is opening." Fin alerted Elliot, his eyes widened as two of the truck riders lifted the door and tossed it up and all the way open. "Holy shit. There's no room for any more passengers, Stabler. Louie wasn't kidding. Floor to ceiling packaged drugs, sealed and air tight."
Amanda ran a hand down her face. "They didn't even try to conceal it. There's probably enough drugs there to overdose Manhattan three times."
"We've got confirmation and proof of drug presence. Move in!" Elliot barked into the walkie.
"Go around the alley. Make sure no one escapes or is hiding out." Olivia instructed Fin and Amanda as she and Elliot head for the front door, guns pointed towards the windows and eyes checking for Louie.
Elliot moved in first, opening the front door Louie had left unlocked and sticking close to the outside wall. "He's not in the dining room."
"I'll check the kitchen. You check the roof." Olivia breathed, crouching down to look around as well.
"Keep an eye on your six." Elliot whispered before leading the way inside. He watched Olivia scan the tables and booths as she made her way to the swinging kitchen door. He searched every booth and table as well, pointing his gun up the stairs as he started climbing them towards the glowing red 'EXIT' sign.
Olivia looked around the fridges and stoves, keeping her back against sinks and counters where cooking and dining ware were neatly stacked with layers of dust on top of them. When she reached the back of the kitchen, she grabbed the handle of the door leading outside, but she felt something cold on the back of her neck before she could pull it open. It dug hard into her skin, and she knew immediately it was a gun.
Louie's voice echoed off the steel door in front of her. "Good evening, officer. Be a good girl and hold up your hands for me. Slowly. And, no funny business." He smiled when Olivia exhaled in frustration but did as he said. When her arms were out to her sides, he grabbed the gun from her hand. "Thank you."
Elliot cleared the roof before coming back down the stairs, gun leading the way in case Louie had hidden somewhere Olivia hadn't found either. But, he walked down to an entirely different scene. Between the kitchen and himself, Louie Diamond stood with his pocket knife to Olivia's throat, Olivia's gun pointed at him, and another gun resting on his hip. It looked like Louie had pistol whipped Olivia, because blood was trickling down the side of her face towards her neck from a gash by her temple. Some of it had already started drying and crusting on her cheek, but the wound was still deep red.
Louie's suit looked like it was building up condensation, creating a shiny look to it. He must've hid in the walk-in freezer and surprised Olivia before she could check it. He didn't have a mark on him, so he knew she didn't even have a chance before he jumped her. She looked like she was still a little hazy from butt of the gun slammed against her temple, but she was alert enough to know what was happening around them. She was alert enough to know there was a knife to her throat and a gun pointed at him. She was alert to know they were in deep shit.
Deep, personal shit.
Please review! Yes, I had this planned from the very beginning.
