Chapter 20: Gems and Faces of the Past
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Now many of you guessed who those easter eggs were in the last chapter and you got most of them right save a few. And now a few of them will make their debut. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
We find ourselves watching the original Dragon Mage battle Necrafa.
"Stand down Necrafa. The realm shall be free from your tyranny once and for all! Release the Star Dragon!" She said when she suddenly stopped.
Zooming out we see this was merely a recording and the Dragon Mage and Necrafa were just holograms.
"That's when everything went kablooey and Necrafa was no more." Barnabus said revealing he was telling the story to Mathis and a few other kids who were bored out of their minds.
"Ugh lamest story ever." Mathis said texting.
"Thank you for choosing Eco Quest and Myth adventures. I've been your tour guide, Barnabus Dingleknot." He said.
"I wonder how bored I look." Mathis said taking a selfie. "Yep, pretty bored."
"Kids these days, so busy looking at himself he doesn't see the world of adventure around him." Barnabus said as the ground started to shake and crack. "RUN!"
As everyone ran for their lives Mathis was too busy taking selfies to notice until he noticed Necrafa was in the background.
"Ugh these illusions are so lame." Mathis turns around and flicks it only for the real Necrafa to grab him.
"I assure you young man I am very real." Necrafa said throwing him to the ground causing Mathis to run away in fear. "Come to me my treasure." Necrafa blasts the ground and from it a purple and green gem came out.
Putting the gems in her necklace Necrafa laughs manically.
Meanwhile, at the Royal Palace, Ryou, Arakyna, Zarya, Sophie, Piper, Em, Tecna, Musa and Zhalia were watching a video.
"This has been going on since you guys left." Zhalia said turning up the volume.
"The Seekers and Mysticons may have to call it Quitsticons as the Astromancers decide whether Drake City's heroes need to hang up their capes." Medusa said.
"Hey I can't hang up my cape. I don't have a cape." Piper said.
"Piper this is really important." Zarya said.
"Sorry nervous talker." Piper said.
"The Mysticons and Seekers have performed many noble deeds, activating the Dragon Disk, gathering Seeker artifacts to unifying the Codex, but they are overshadowed by their crimes. Like breaking into the Astromancer Academy." Nova Terron said.
"Hey we did that to save the realm." Arkayna said.
"Willfully attacking us and unleashing a scourge of monsters." Nova Terron said showing footage of the gummlumps.
"More like a scourge of cutie pies." Piper giggles.
"And we only attacked you because if we didn't the whole city would have been turned into monsters." Sophie said.
"And releasing Necrafa." Nova Terron said causing all of them to cringe.
"Yeah that one was all our fault." Em said as Ryou gulps seeing footage of his mom.
"We have no choice but to declare the Mysticons and Seekers outlaws and offer a reward for their capture." Nova Terron said as wanted posters for them, Musa, Tecna, Sophie, Zhalia and even Dante had one.
"Come on! What has my dad done to deserve one?!" Ryou snaps when they heard eating. Looking over they saw Piper eating popcorn. "Not the best time, Piper."
"Sorry, nervous eater." Piper said.
"What'cha watching?" Gawayne asks walking out and noticing the news. "Oh isn't it hilarious? There's even a hot line for you to call if you spot them, like on Drake City's Most Wanted."
"What do you want Gawayne?" Arkayna rolls her eyes.
"Just a sec, I need your advice because you're like a girl. It's my one-month anniversary with Lateencia so I got these out of the treasury. I just don't know which is better." Gawayne said taking out an orange and blue gem.
"The Royal Treasury is not your personal piggy bank." Arkayna said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, what color?" Gawayne asks not caring.
"Fine, orange." Arkayna said.
"Blue it is. Thanks Stepsis." Gawayne said walking away.
"You think if we tried to dethrone him, we'd be cleared of all charges or become worse criminals?" Musa asks.
"Either way, no more Gawayne." Ryou said when suddenly Arkayna got a call.
Opening it they saw Malvaron and Dante on their line.
"We got a problem." Malvaron said.
"Bigger than us being declared outlaws?" Arkayna asks.
"Much bigger. Suit up and meet us all at Victory Heights." Dante said.
"We're on it." Arkayna said when they heard a noise and saw Piper playing with a paddle ball.
"Sorry, nervous paddle baller." Piper said.
Changing into their Mysticon and Seeker outfits all of them met up with Dante and Malvaron who were with Barnabus at Victory Heights.
"Tell them what they told us Barnabus." Dante said.
"Well after retiring from my Mall Security I got a job as a tour guide." Barnabus said.
"Pretty sure you can skip that part." Zarya said.
"Sorry. I saw Necrafa. She used her magic to pull two things out of the ground." Barnabus said.
"What kind of things?" Tecna asks.
"I didn't get a good look." Barnabus said.
"Whatever they are it's probably not good for us." Zhalia said.
"Which is why we'll have to get a good look. Mysticons, Seekers, we're going on a field trip." Malvaron said.
"Ooh I love field trips. Where are we going?" Piper asks.
"It's not so much as where." Malvaron said as all but Barnabus and Choko disappeared.
"Okay that's enough craziness for one day. I quit. It's all yours." Barnabus said taking off his hat and putting it on Choko.
Appearing in what appeared to be a wasteland all of them saw a battle was going on.
"By the stars! It's Imani Firewing, the first Dragon Mage!" Arkayna gasps.
"It's over General Bane!" Imani said before blasting him with her staff but Dreadbane blocks it with his shield.
"Yes, it is Mysticon." Dreadbane grins.
"This is the battle of Victory Heights, a thousand years ago." Musa gasps.
"Actually this is a hindsight spell." Malvaron said.
"So we're looking into the past." Dante said.
"Exactly, I'm guessing Necrafa lost something that day. We just need to find out what." Malvaron said as Necrafa appeared next to Dreadbane.
"The noble Dragon Mage, if you can't even handle my General how can you hope to defeat me?" Necrafa asks.
"With my help." Rushing towards them was Lord Casterwill holding the Willblade.
"It's Lord Casterwill." Sophie gasps as Lord Casterwill defeats Dreadbane and knocks the Vigilante titan out of Necrafa's hands.
"And with this!" Imani said blasting Necrafa.
"Freeze!" Malvaron said as he froze the memory right as Necrafa was hit by the attack.
"Whoa." Zhalia said impressed.
"Ooh fabtacular. I've been waiting a long time to do this." Piper runs up to Necrafa and made a series of funny faces.
Ryou was about to walk over when he noticed a small patch of darkness leaving Necrafa.
"That's how she did it isn't it?" Ryou asks as Dante walks up to her.
"Yep that's her power. It was so small no noticed it was her for a thousand years. It's how she tried to make tools out of both of us." Dante said.
"Dad I'm scared. What's gonna happen when I run into her again?" Ryou asks looking at the mark on his hand.
"Hey, don't worry. This time you won't be alone." Dante said putting his hand on his shoulder.
"Hey what are these?" Sophie asks pointing to Necrafa's necklace that had 4 gems flying out of it.
"When she got blasted by Imani the four gems from her necklace scattered." Arkayna said.
"That must be what she was after." Tecna said.
"Wait that look like the gems Gawayne took for his girlfriend." Musa points to the blue and orange.
"Oh boy." Ryou said.
"Malvaron take us back. I need to make a call." Arkayna said as Malvaron brought them back to present day.
Arkayna dials the number but ended up getting ignored by him.
"How did he even get his hands on them?" Dante asks.
"From the Royal Treasury." Ryou said.
"Ugh this is King is the worst." Dante groans.
"Don't worry, this guy posts every second of his day on Snapdragon." Em said as they all took out their glyphs.
"Hanging with my boo on Mermaid Avenue before going to lunch. Love really works up an appetite." Zhalia cringed.
"Ugh gross." Piper said grossed out.
"It's gotta be his money no living thing alive would put up with him for any other reason." Ryou said.
"We need to get to him before Necrafa does." Arkayna said.
"Be careful, you're still wanted fugitives remember." Malvaron reminds.
"Relax, the people love us." Piper said as they ran off.
Little did they know Mathis was hiding behind a rock spying on them.
"Yes, I'd like to report a Mysticon and Seeker sighting." He calls.
In Drake City, Lateencia was flying down the street while tried to catch up on a hoverboard.
"Boo, wait. I have a present for our one month anniversary." Gawayne said when he bumped into a crossing guard. "Hey watch it! What do you have one eye?"
Turning around the crossing guard was actually a cyclops and boy was he angry at that comment.
"Whoa, okay touchy subject. Here take this and stop giving me the stink eye." Gawayne said giving the cyclops the orange gem before taking a picture of him and skating away. "Just donated a gem to a poor cyclops. Can't help being generous. Hextag blessed."
Looking at her glyph Mura rolls her eyes at the post. "Ugh who is he fooling with this?"
"More like hextag annoying king." Zarya said.
"That's on the corner of Queen and Squire." Em said.
"We better hurry." Zhalia said as they ran off.
As the cyclops was examining the gem a red light shot out of an alley and grabbed it.
"My gem." Necrafa said coming out of the alley scaring the cyclops. "What's a matter? Spectors got your tongue?"
As if on cue multiple spectral beasts flew out and forcing the citizens to run.
"Just one more." Necrafa said when a boltflare knocked it out of her hands.
"I see you're still the same as ever." Dante said walking out to face.
"Dante Vale, never thought I'd see your face again. Come to rekindle what we once had?" Necrafa asks.
"Hard pass." Dante said as Zarya, Arkayna, Em, Piper, Sophie, Tecna, Musa and Zhalia appeared next to him.
"Mysticons, you're proving to be more annoying than your predecessors." Necrafa said.
"We'll take that as a compliment." Arkayna said as Necrafa blasts them all back.
Looking up they saw the Spectral beasts heading towards them.
"Go Sabriel!" Sophie said calling out her warrior.
"Rip them apart Wolf Knight!" Zarya said calling out her armored wolf.
"Come on out, Caliban!" Dante said calling out his power bonded Caliban.
Charging forward Caliban and Sabriel slashed the Spectral beasts to pieces while Wolf Knight smashed them into the ground destroying them.
Necrafa looks around for the gem when the Willblade was inches from her face.
"Hi mom." Ryou glares as Necrafa whacks the willblade away before turing to see her son was no longer in his Dragon of Destruction for.
"Ryou, what did you do to yourself? You looked so much better before." Necrafa said.
"To you, not to me." Ryou said readying the Willblade.
"That Willblade doesn't change what you are. My own flesh and blood. I am the only one who will accept what you truly are. Join me and we can rule the cosmoverse as Mother and son." Necrafa said.
"Take over the cosmoverse? Why would I want to do that?" Ryou growls as his mark glowed and his eyes turned red. "Don't you get it? I never wanna be like you! I don't want to be a monster!" Ryou roars in anger as red energy shot out from him destroying windows and even destroyed a spectral beast.
"Ryou no!" Dante gasps seeing this.
As everyone turned to Ryou growling in anger the ground under him started to break.
"What is going on?" Piper gasps.
"Yes! Go on! Let out that anger! Do it! Destroy everything!" Necrafa declares eager to have her son by her side.
Zarya looks to Ryou and does the only thing she could think of to calm him down.
"Sorry about this Ryou." Zarya runs towards Ryou and slaps him across the face knocking him to the ground.
Groaning in pain Ryou's eyes returned to normal snapping out of his rage state.
"Damn you Mysticon Ranger! I was so close!" Necrafa snaps before blasting Zarya and Ryou knocking them towards the others.
"Nice try Necrafa, you're not getting him that easily." Dante narrows her eyes.
"Ryou will join me in the end Dante. It's only a matter of time." Necrafa vows.
"Not if we have anything to say about it! Unleash the Dragon!" Arkayna said firing a dragon from her bracer.
"Battle Unicorn, Charge!" Em said firing a unicorn.
As the beasts charged towards her the green and purple gems on Necrafa's necklace glowed allowing her to absorb them.
"Whoa, can she do that?" Em gasps.
"I have more power than you can ever imagine." Necrafa said creating a wave of red energy that knocked them all to the ground and forced the titans back into their amulets.
"We gotta get that gem!" Sophie said as Necrafa picked it up and flew off.
They tried to follow her when suddenly a barrier appeared around them all trapping them inside.
"What's going on?" Musa asks.
"Got you!" Nova Terron said as he, Proxima and the other Astromancers came towards them.
Little did any of them know a few shadows were watching them.
"How the great have fallen. Dante you disappoint me." Nova Terron said.
"Oh no, how I will I live with this?" Dante rolls his eyes sarcastically.
"Nova Terron you have to let us go!" Arkayna said.
"Necrafa is getting away!" Sophie points only to see Necrafa was long gone.
"Where'd she go?" Em asks.
"I don't see anyone." Proxima said.
"Spare us your lies. The only threat to Drake City is all of you." Nova Terron said as citizens of Drake City looked over.
"Fear not citizens, the Mysticons and Seekers will trouble you no more." A female Astromancer said causing the crowd to cheer.
"These citizens have no respect." Zhalia growls.
"5 Gold? That's all I get for hand delivering the outlaws?" Mathis asks outraged.
"Run along." Nova Terron glares before turning to them. "Now to deal with you."
Suddenly a battle axe flew in and landed right in front of Nova Terron startling him.
"Take more step. I dare you." A voice said causing Dante to smile.
Looking up they saw a large beefy man with a black hair and a beard. This was Montehue.
"I see you're still getting into trouble Dante." Montehue smiles.
"Montehue, I knew you would be the first to show up." Dante said as Montehue leaps down and lands in front of Nova Terron picking up his axe.
"You dare stop us?" Nova Terron asks.
"Yes I do." Montehue smirks.
"Wow, I guess some people do care about us." Em said amazed when the manhole opened up below them and they saw a boy around their age with red hair and glasses. This was Tersely.
"Quick down here." He whispered causing them all to grin.
"Do you really think you can take on all of us by yourself?" Nova Terron asks.
"Not at all, I just needed to buy enough time." Montehue smirks.
"What?!" Proxima gasps as they saw Ryou climbing into the sewers. "It was a trick!"
"Darkfog!" Montehue said creating a dark cloud around the Astromancers before escaping.
"We have to catch them!" Nova Terron orders.
"If we hurry we can cut them off at the end." Proxima said as they chased after them.
Down below in the Under City, Tersley led them out.
"Phew that was close." He said.
"Good timing Tersely." Dante smiles.
"You know this guy?" Arkayna asks.
"After Nova made those Wanted Posters I made a few calls to get us our group." Dante smiles when a blast narrowly misses him.
Looking over they saw the Astromancers on their tails.
"Everyone split up!" Ryou said as they all ran in different directions.
"Don't let them get away!" Nova Terron orders as he, Proxima and the others split up.
As Dante and Tersley were running down a street one Astromancer followed them close behind.
"Quick this way!" Tersely said as they turned a corner and Monthhue appeared punching the Astromancer knocking him into a dumpster.
"Good timing." Dante said.
"We came as fast as we could." Montehue said.
"By the way how's Ryou doing?" Tersely asks causing Dante to chuckle.
"You guys are in for a surprise." Dante smirks.
In another part, Zarya, Piper, Choko, Em and Zhalia were running with Proxima chasing them and trying to destroy them.
"I will have justice for this!" Proxima said pointing to her scar.
"Whoa, we did that?" Zhalia asks.
"Oh my goblin! I am so sorry!" Em said summoning her shield to deflect it.
As they ran down a street two sets of hands grab them and pulled them behind a food stand.
Looking up they saw two girls one with medium length blonde hair and a one with long orange hair. These were Cathy Lambert and Scarlet Byrne.
"Who are y—" Before Em could finish Scarlet covered her mouth.
"Quiet or she'll hear you." Scarlet whispers as Proxima ran by.
"Where did you go?" Proxima asks when Cathy picked up a can and threw it down the street getting Proxima's attention causing her to chase after it.
"That was close." Zhalia said.
"Best switch out of these outfits. You need to lay low before we meet up with the others." Scarlet said.
"Who are you guys?" Zarya asks.
"Friends." Cathy smiles.
In another street, Sophie, Musa, Tecna and Arkayna were trying to lose Nova Terron.
"Stop right there!" Nova Terron said holding them both in a magic rope. "Gotcha."
He was about to move in when he heard a crying noise. Looking over he saw a young girl with long blonde golden hair. This was Vivian Casterwill.
"Sir please help me. I'm lost." She sniffles walking up to him.
"Oh you poor little girl what's wrong?" Nova asks looking to her.
"I got separated from my grandma when we were going to the upper level." Vivian said.
"Oh well that's easy just go up that staircase and you'll find her." Nova points unaware that while Vivian kept him distracted an old woman with white hair came out of the alley and broke Sophie and Arkayna free from Nova Terron's spell. This was Nimue Casterwill.
"Thank you mister." Vivian said running off but when Dante saw his prisoners had escaped he growled in anger.
"Mysticons!" Nova Terron roars as Vivan snuck over to them.
"Told you he would fall for it." Nimue said.
"Too easy." Vivian smirks.
"Lady Nimue it is such an honor to see you and Vivian you've gotten so big." Sophie said.
"Sophie you know these two?" Arkayna asks.
"Of course I do, they're Casterwills." Sophie said surprising her.
"Come along Lucas should catch up with us soon." Nimue said causing Sophie to gasp.
"My brother is here too? How?" Sophie asks.
"You can thank Ryou and Dante." Vivian said as they made their way out.
With Ryou, he was trying to lose two Astromancers when a boy his age with light brown hair was chasing after them on the rooftops. This was Lucas Casterwill.
As Ryou turned a corner he saw it led to a dead end. "Oh no."
Ryou turns to try and double back but found himself corned.
"Nowhere to run now." The Astromancer said.
"And no one to help you." The other said.
"That's what you think!" Leaping down Lucas jumps down ontop of them knocking them out.
Ryou looks at Lucas and a brief memory of a young him facing a young Lucas came to him.
"Let's see if what Dante said is true." Lucas said raising a fist as if to punch him.
Ryou didn't know what was going on but his body seemed to act on instinct as he raised his right arm to punch, but in the end they both fived back and forth with their left hands before fist bumping with their right hands.
"Well I'll be, Ryou, it's really you." Lucas smiles.
"Uh do I know you?"" Ryou asks not sure.
"Wow, Dante wasn't kidding when he said you lost your memories. I would think you remembered me." Lucas cringes.
"Dad? What's going on?" Ryou asks.
"Follow me, we'll explain everything." Lucas said.
Leaving the undercity, Ryou was almost crushed under a big hug by Montehue as everyone gathered together.
"I can't breathe." Ryou cringed as Montehue let go laughing.
"Oh Ryou, look at you." Montehue smiles ruffling his hair.
"Cut it out!" Ryou said as they all laughed.
"Hey guys give him some breathing room." Cathy said helping him up.
"I know it's been a long time but still." Scarlet giggles.
"Listen uh not that we're all not grateful for all your help but who are you guys?" Zarya asks.
"We are the Huntik Foundation, a team of Seekers created by Ryou and Dante Vale." Tersley said.
"Wait so you guys are on our side?" Piper asks.
"Bingo." Montehue said.
"Hey Sophie, it's been a while." Lucas said.
"It's good to see you again Lucas." Sophie smiles hugging her older brother.
"Allow me to introduce you all. Our saviors from earlier Montehue and his assistant Tersely." Dante said.
"Thanks a lot for back there." Em said.
"Happy to help." Montehue said.
"Scarlet Byrne and this is my good friend Cathy Lambert." Scarlet said.
"Pleasure." Cathy said.
"And of course, you've met me and my granddaughter Vivian." Nimue smiles.
"Glad to see we have a decent amount of people on our side." Zhalia said
"You may not remember Ryou but you had quite the adventures with everyone here." Dante said.
"I do?" Ryou said surprised.
"We have a lot of catching up to do." Scarlet smiles.
"We can catch up later, if Necrafa gets that last gem we're all in trouble." Arkayna said.
"How are we gonna find it?" Tersely asks.
"Yeah isn't Gawayne ignoring you?" Ryou asks.
"Yes, he's in danger and I have no idea how to find him." Arkayna said.
"But I bet I know someone who can." Dante smirks sending a text.
"Another old friend?" Ryou asks.
"Yeah and this one is really good at finding people who don't want to be found." Dante said.
At Sky Pies, Gawayne was having dinner with Lateencia but the female pixie was totally ignoring him.
"Lateencia, I love the sound of your name." Gawayne said.
"Uh huh." Lateenica said not caring.
"I'm trying to find a cute couple name for us like Gawayncia or Lateencyne or…"
"It's kinda hard to glyph when words are coming out of your mouth and this isn't working out." Lateencia said causing Gawayne to bang his head on the table sobbing as the door opens to reveal a large muscular man with blonde hair and a green military outfit. This was Grier.
'There he is.' Grier thought taking out his glyph and sending a message to Dante.
"It's not me, it's you." Lateencia said.
"But I got you this gem." Gawayne said holding it out.
"Aww that's so sweet." Lateencia tried to pick it up but the gem was too heavy for her little pixie body. "Can you just mail it to me, thanks." She said flying off causing Gawayne to sob.
"Kid, you're in a public place have some dignity." Grier said.
"She broke my heart and all I have left is this gem." Gawayne said.
"Sorry I need that." Grier said taking the gem out of his hand.
"No I need it!" Gawayne turns only to stop to see Grier looking down at him.
"Do you really want go there?" Grier asks when the door opened causing everyone to scream.
"He might not, but I do." Necrafa said causing Grier to gasp and turn around. "Give me that gem!"
"How about this instead?! Charge Megataur!" Grier said pulling out an amulet and a large titan that was half man, half bull and had golden chains on its body.
"Another Seeker? Just great." Necrafa said as the titan charged towards her.
Raising her hand Necrafa stops Megataur in its tracks before blasting it from close range sending it smashing into some tables and knocking the gem out of Grier's hands.
"Hands off the gem, Necrafa!" Arkayna said.
Turning around she saw the Mysticons, Seekers, Lucas, Dante, Scarlet and Montehue ready for battle.
"Mysticons!" Necrafa fires a blast for her staff when Ryou draws the Willblade and deflects it.
'The Willblade? How did Ryou get that?' Lucas thought looking at him in shock.
"The gem!" Arkayna points as Necrafa tried to grab it.
"Oh no you don't! Raypulse!" Scarlet said firing a blast of lighting knocking Necrafa back.
"Thanks for finding the royal pain Grier." Dante said helping him up.
"So that's your ex-wife, huh? Boy Dante you really knew how to pick them." Grier said.
"Hey I was under a spell." Dante said.
Swinging his sword, Ryou and Necrafa clashed.
"You can do better than that. Where's that rage from earlier? I know you want to destroy everything just as much as I do." Necrafa said.
"No I don't!" Ryou said pushing her back before nailing a kick to the chest.
Around the restaurant, fights were breaking out everywhere.
Lucas blasts a Spectral beast when another came in from the side and rammed him towards the counter.
Looking up he saw Mama Calamari holding a Pizza Peel. "Can I borrow that?" Grabbing it from her hand Lucas smacks two spectral beasts away.
Scarlet and Sophie were back to back as they dodged attacks by the Spectral beasts when they moved out of the way in the last second and the two beasts end up slashing each other.
As Necrafa recovers, Arkayna swings her staff firing a blast but Necrafa deflects it.
"When we're done with you, you're gonna wish the original Mysticons had destroyed you." Arkayna threatens.
"Empty threats." Necrafa said knocking her back.
Drawing both his axes Montehue slashes the Spectral Beasts away with ease when he noticed the gem on the ground.
"Get the gem!" Arkayna said.
"NO!" Necrafa slams her staff to the ground and everyone inside was transported in the air outside the restaurant.
"Is it just me or did it get breezy in here?" Gawayne asks before all of them screamed as they started to plummet.
"Oh my goblin!" Em said as they whistled for their griffins.
"Kipperin, Cavalier help!" Ryou said as Kipperin wrapped around him and Cavalier caught Montehue.
"Thanks for the help!" Monethue said as Sophie, Zhalia, Musa, and Tecna landed on the griffins.
"Save the citizens!" Arkayna said when Lucas took out an amulet.
"Help me out Sunhawk!" Lucas said as a giant orange eagle appeared and he landed on its back and caught several people.
"Featherdrop!" Dante, Grier and Scarlet said as they landed safely on the ground.
"Help me!" Gawayne said falling at an alarmin speed.
"Someone catch him!" Ryou said.
"Megataur!" Grier said as Megataur leaps up and catches Gawayne before bringing him down.
"You wouldn't happen to have an extra pair of dry pants would you?" Gawayne asks as Megataur drops him on the ground.
Landing nearby everyone ran off.
"Did any of you get the gem?" Arkayna asks.
"The gem is right here where it belongs." Necrafa said causing everyone to panic in fear. "SILENCE!"
"Fly Phoenix Fly!" Piper said firing her phoenix but Necrafa absorbs it. "Oh yeah I forgot she can do that."
"Your powers are useless against me." Necrafa said when Cathy, Tersely, Vivian and Nimue came up behind her.
"But ours aren't! Go Hoplite!" Cathy said pulling out an amulet and a Centaur in armor appeared.
Charing in Hoplite slashes Necrafa making her scream in pain as she drops the gem.
"Cavalier!" Ryou said as Cavalier's swords burst into flames and it delivers two flaming slashes causing the orange gem to fly off her necklace.
"You should have put that in when you had the chance. Time to Howl!" Zarya said firing her wolf bracer and knocking the remaining two gems off.
As Piper, Em and Arkayna catch each gem they aim their bracers at Necrafa.
"NO!" Necrafa gasps in horror.
"Oh yeah, this one is gonna hurt." Arkayna grins.
"Sorry Necrafa you lose." Dante said.
Growling in anger Necrafa roars as she took off into the sky.
"Is she gone?" Tersely asks.
"Not for long." Nimue said.
"Well Huntik Foundation, I think this could be the beginning of an amazing partnership." Arkayna said.
"Thanks but we better get moving before Nova Terron shows up." Zarya said.
"There they are! The outlaws and their accomplices!" Nova Terron said as he, Proxima and a dozen Astromancers made their way towards them.
All of them cringe in fear when all of the citizens they just saved stood in between them and the Astromancers.
"Stand aside!" Nova Terron orders.
"If you want them, you're gonna have to go through us!" A girl said as they all cheered in agreement.
Smiling the Mysticons and Seekers made their escape.
"So you think Nova Terron has forgiven us?" Piper asks.
"Not a chance." Zhalia said.
"The important thing is the people are behind us." Arkayna said.
"Not to mention we have some awesome backup." Ryou said.
"If you ever need us or you just want to meet up and talk. Give us a call." Tersley said.
"See you soon." Ryou said.
"Absolutely." Montehue smiles as he and Tersely went in one direction.
"Will I see you all again?" Sophie asks.
"Absolutely." Vivian said.
"You better watch yourself Ryou." Lucas smirks as he, Vivian and Nimue left.
"Try to stay out of trouble you two." Scarlet smirks.
"Scarlet you and I both know trouble just loves us Vale men." Dante smirks causing her to giggle.
"We'll meet up again." Cathy said as she and Scarlet left.
"Let me know if your evil ex shows her face again." Grier smirks.
"Will do." Dante smirks.
"Hey Ryou, keep on fighting." Grier said.
"I will." Ryou nods as Grier left.
Back at their Mysticon Base, Dante was sitting down drinking some water when Zarya walked in.
"Hey Dante, can I ask you something?" Zarya said walking up to him.
"Sure Zarya what's up?" Dante asks.
"Earlier today when Necrafa made Ryou go crazy I saw that happen to him before. What is that?" Zarya asks as a serious expression appeared on Dante's face.
"Who else knows about this?" Dante asks.
"No one, just me and Choko." Zarya said.
"It's because of that mark on his hand. Necrafa poured a lot of her dark powers into Ryou when she was pregnant with him. The only time he's not able to control it is when he becomes enraged. The mark releases Necrafa's energy and it fuels Ryou making him stronger than ever, but the problem is Ryou doesn't know how to control it. All that dark magic twists his mind into being of pure destruction unless something can snap him out of it." Dante explains.
"Like when I slapped him earlier today." Zarya realized.
"Exactly. I've seen him go into that state a few times and each time it hurts to see him turn into that monster, but that's what Necrafa created him to be, a monster." Dante sighs.
"Except he's not a monster. Ryou's the best friend a person can ask for he's kind, smart, funny and…handsome." Zarya smiles.
"Handsome?" Dante asks.
"Handy! I mean handy!" Zarya corrects.
"Well I'll be, Zarya are in love with Ryou?" Dante smirks causing Zarya to blush.
"Well I uh…yeah I am." Zarya admits nervously causing Dante to chuckle when he noticed Ryou walk out.
"Hey Ryou." Dante said snapping Zarya out of her thoughts.
"Hey dad, Zarya." Ryou said.
"What are you doing?" Zarya asks.
"Well I was gonna go get some Snork Balls. Kinda need a snack after a day like today, you guys wanna come with?" Ryou asks.
"Nah I need some sleep." Dante said standing up.
"Well I guess it's just you and me then Zarya." Ryou said.
"I guess so." Zarya said.
Smiling Zarya and Ryou walk out together.
Looking over Dante sees Zarya reach out and hold Ryou's hand. "Those two make a cute couple." Dante smirks.
