Birthday

AJ grew unaware of where they were, their kiss deepening with every second as she pressed her body against his whilst wrapped around him as he sat on one of the solar panels. Feeling his hands on her body made her come alive. She wanted more.

Punk felt her hands leave around his neck and head to his pants, beginning to unbutton them as he broke the kiss and looked in her eyes as she smiled.

"What? You afraid someone sees us?" She teased as he smiled and shook his head.

"I don't think we should…" He looked at her tellingly, "Not in here." He said.

"We're technically not in the hospital." AJ reminded him as he laughed a little and nodded.

"No, but… if we're ever gonna do this I just think it should be the right place. The right time." He nodded as AJ looked across at him.

"You must think I'm so cheap." She realised, getting off of him and sitting down on the solar panel, a little further away from him than before, "Throwing myself at you like that." AJ shook her head, angry with herself that she'd sounded so desperate.

"You didn't throw yourself at me." Punk shook his head, "Trust me, I want this." He assured her as she looked at him, "Just not here." He said as she looked at him and nodded slowly.

"Ok." AJ shrugged as Punk watched her. He didn't want her to feel rejected, but he didn't want them to go through with something so special on top of a roof in the freezing cold.

"Why'd you kiss me?" He smiled a little as AJ rolled her eyes.

"Oh, don't be that guy." AJ scoffed.

"What guy?" Punk chuckled.

"That has to hear everything." AJ shook her head, "Don't make me say it." She turned to him with a small smile.

"Say what?" He smiled as she shook her head.

"I don't know what this is. I don't know if it can ever be anything considering I'm stuck in here." She said, "But I do like you." She looked up at him, "And I really… did not expect it." She admitted truthfully, "I feel like I'm in a really weird place right now, mentally." She admitted.

"Well it's always good to know that someone likes you back when you like them too." He said as she looked up at him, smiling to herself. Hearing him say it eased her feelings of protectiveness over herself. Knowing he was interested in her the same way was a relief. And in a way, him stopping them from going any further indicated that he wasn't just in it for sex, for the wrong reasons. He actually did care about her. That was hard for her to get her head around.

"Why would you even like me?" AJ shook her head with confusion.

"Why wouldn't I?" Punk shook his head with equal confusion.

"I know I can play tough and… I think that's just a coping mechanism whilst being in here. But, I know I have an illness. I know that… my life isn't gonna be quote on quote, normal." She shrugged.

"Normal is boring." Punk nodded to her, "I think you're beautiful, smart as hell, funny… in a very strange way." He added as she laughed a little, "I think you're amazing. And I think it's ridiculous that no one's ever told you that in your life." He said as she looked up at him, "And it's ok if you don't believe all the things I'm saying, but I believe them." He assured her.

"You could be waiting a while. I don't know if I'm leaving this place anytime soon." AJ said, "And I don't wanna trap you."

"You're not." Punk assured him, watching as he shuffled closer to her, this time tilting her face up under her chin as he leaned down and kissed her softly.

Kissing him was becoming her new obsession. It gave her a warm feeling in the pit of her stomach, goosebumps up and down her arms. She'd never been kissed with meaning before. He challenged her to think about the what ifs, and life outside this place. And her mind was racing with the possibilities.

"Where the hell have you been?" Dean asked, standing outside Punk's house as he pulled up after driving home.

"I got held up at the hospital." Punk shrugged, getting out of his car.

"Well give me the heads up, huh?" Dean nodded.

"What are you doing here anyway?" Punk asked, getting his house keys out and unlocking his door.

"I went to the kindergarten today to ask about Teresa." Dean told him, following him into the house.

"What'd you find out?" Punk asked curiously.

"Nothing too scandalous. She worked there when April was younger. The lady I spoke to didn't know what previous jobs she had. Remembered her being quiet and respectful. Just the same shit everyone has been saying." Dean nodded.

"April finally told me her mom is dead tonight." Punk told Dean.

"Did she go into detail?" Dean asked eagerly.

"No. No, but they had a good relationship. I can tell. I can tell she misses her." Punk nodded, "She said she's dead and she doesn't like talking about it so… I didn't ask anything else." He said as Dean nodded.

"Maybe she's gonna eventually open up to you." Dean said.

"Dean, I don't think she knows what happened. I don't." He said, standing in the kitchen with him, "I think she came home from school and found her mom dead. Called 911 and then… disappeared because she was so traumatised. Probably being homeless triggered her mental illness and then she ends up trying to take her own life, twice… so she ends up at Greyson." Punk said.

"I get all that, and I understand." Dean nodded, "But Teresa didn't have any friends. April was the only close thing to her. If there was something going down, April would surely know." He said as Punk sighed to himself.

"Yeah, maybe but… I don't think she has a name. Do you?" Punk questioned.

"I don't know." Dean sighed, "I guess you know her better than I do." He said as Punk nodded.

"Yeah." Punk agreed, "Look, I think we need to park the breaks on this for a second." He nodded, "I am… getting close to April and I'd hate for her to find out we're doing this. She'll think I've been just using her and… I'm honestly not." He said.

"I know you're not." Dean said, "I know you really like her."

"I do." Punk nodded, "And I don't want to give her any reason to shut off from me." He shook his head, "I think we gotta give it a rest for now." He nodded as Dean looked across at him.

"Alright." Dean agreed, "It's your call."

The next day, Punk got to work in the hospital in the afternoon. He got to see what it was like for the girls to celebrate a birthday. April, a crusher of dreams, didn't want any balloons or a cake. She did want to pick what they had for dinner, of course. And for afters, Punk had brought a pint of the ice-cream from the other night which she'd loved so much.

"So, how's your day been?" Punk asked her, sitting on the couch beside her where she was eating the ice-cream with a party hat on.

"Fine, I guess." AJ shrugged, "Chloe had a meltdown at dinner." She told him.

"Why?" Punk asked.

"I don't know. Cause of all the food." AJ said, "And I tried to be nice to her and I said, hey I didn't ask for a cake so… that's less food for you to worry about. And she swung for me. On my birthday." AJ shook her head.

"Where is she now?" Punk asked, looking around the room.

"They had to sedate her and take her to her room." AJ nodded.

"Maybe best not to say anything to her when she gets upset." Punk said, "Just a thought." He turned to her.

"I was trying to be nice." AJ scoffed.

"Yeah, but your nice and what other people consider nice are very different." Punk nodded.

"Maybe." AJ said, "I just don't think you can ever really celebrate in this place." She shook her head, "For the past eight years I've literally spent every birthday in here." She said as Punk looked at her. He could tell she was a little down, and he didn't blame her.

"Alright, meet me outside my office once everyone has gone to bed." He nodded to her as she turned around to look at him.

"I thought…"

"Mhm, well I changed my mind." Punk nodded to her as she smiled a little.

"Ok." She nodded with a small smile.

"Show me where you live." AJ smiled, sitting in the passenger's seat of the car later on that night after driving around town with Punk. He'd stopped outside the harbour as she wished to watch some of the boats going to and from. A little further driving around town and she was doing everything she could to make the night go on forever.

"Why do you wanna see where I live?" Punk chuckled.

"I'm just… curious." AJ shrugged, "Come on, show me." She nodded

"It's really not that interesting." Punk said.

"Please show me." She said as Punk glanced over to her in the passenger's seat.

"Ok, fine." Punk shrugged, "It's just like any other house here." He shook his head, taking the turn to head to his house.

It was only five minutes away. Once he stopped outside the house they got out and he lead the way towards the front door.

"It's nice." AJ nodded.

"I moved into this place about three years ago." Punk nodded, "I was in an apartment about ten minutes away before." He said.

"Yeah, I mostly grew up in apartments." AJ nodded, "There's something about houses that always fascinated me. It's like… where the happy people live, you know?" She said.

"I think happy people live in apartments too." Punk chuckled a little, opening up the door.

"You know what I mean." She shoved him a little, following him into the house as he closed the door behind her.

"I hope this isn't a typical bachelor's house where there's laundry everywhere and pizza boxes." She chuckled a little, "Or I hope I don't find pictures of your out of town wife anywhere." She teased, smiling at him over her shoulder as he chuckled a little.

"No pizza boxes. No wife, either. Just to be clear." He shook his head.

"Good to know." AJ smirked a little, walking into the living room, "It's a nice place." She nodded, "Must be nice to come to a good home every night." She said as he nodded.

"Yeah, well… the house is nice, the bills are a little annoying." He nodded, watching her run her hand along the couch, looking at the walls as she walked in circles, "You want a drink or something?" He asked her.

"Show me upstairs." She turned to him as he looked across at her.

He didn't say anything, walking out of the living room and heading to the stairs as she followed.

She ran her hand along the railing up the stairs, following behind him as they reached the top.

"That's a spare bedroom I've never decorated yet." He pointed, "Bathroom ahead and my room over there." He said, watching her walk by him towards his bedroom as he scratched his neck nervously and took a nervous deep breath.

"This is nice." AJ nodded, looking around the room as Punk watched her closely. She was deliberately running her hands along things to get his attention. He knew what she wanted. He wanted it too. And somehow her being out of the hospital was easier to escape in their own private world.

"It's basic." Punk shrugged.

"I like it." AJ looked across at him, "Better than a… rooftop?" She questioned as he laughed a little.

"April, this isn't why I brought you out tonight." He assured her. It really wasn't. He just wanted to make her birthday a little less confined. Taking her home, taking her to bed was never a plan. Things seemed to just progress that way.

"Well we're here now." AJ whispered, walking towards him as he looked down at her, "Tell me you wanna take me back now. I dare you." She whispered as he looked down at her, leaning down and pressing his lips against hers as she wrapped her arms around his neck, stumbling back a little with the force of his kiss.

She felt his hands run down her sides as they shared in a passionate and fiery kiss. She only pulled back for a second to rip his shirt off, not expecting the impressive tattoos covering his chest, raising her eyebrows a little, only for a second before he pressed his lips back against hers.

Her clothes went next, bra being unclasped and tossed aside as he cupped her breasts, backing up against the bed as she pushed him down, undoing his pants and kneeling down in front of him.

He watched as she pulled his pants and boxers down, eyeing up his large length with a small smile before wrapping her hand around him, stroking him up and down as he closed his eyes for a second.

She replaced her hand with her mouth eventually, bobbing her head up and down on his length as Punk moaned quietly.

"Fuck." Punk clenched his teeth, bunching her hair back from her face as she took him in and out of her mouth. She kept her eyes on him the entire time. She felt herself getting wetter beneath her panties whilst she watched him moaning. Feeling him grabbing her hair, adding a little force to the back of her head was all things she enjoyed. She wanted him to want it desperately. She got off on that.

Punk watched as she barely stopped for breath, her lips dragging up and down his length, at times letting him hit the back of her throat.

"Fuck, April." Punk moaned. The feeling of her velvet mouth gliding along his shaft, up and down was sensational. She had him on edge, controlling his pleasure as she maximised ad minimised it when she needed to.

She freed him from her mouth, using her hand on his now slippery length, looking up at him as she kissed his thighs, kissing up his body as he stood up, quickly lifting her up as she giggled a little.

He lifted her and placed her on the centre of the bed, pressing his lips against hers as she wrapped her arms around his neck. His kiss trailed off down her jawline and down to her neck as she moaned softly.

Just the feeling of his skin against hers was enticing her. His lips on her neck was sending shivers all over her body, feeling him slide his hand down her body and inside her panties, parting her folds and stroking her clit.

"Feel how wet I am." AJ whispered in his ear as she grabbed the back of his slicked hair, "That's yours." She whispered as he turned and looked at her, watching her eyes staring into his.

He took his hand from her panties as he kissed down her chest, using his tongue on her breasts as she smirked. He knew what he was doing, it was fairly obvious, and the further south he went the more excited she grew.

He got between her legs and pulled her panties down. She raised her eyebrows immediately when she felt him pull her towards his mouth, wrapping his arms around her thighs tightly whilst burying his mouth between her folds. She almost passed out.

"Oh my God." AJ arched her back, running her hands through her hair as she felt his mouth tackling between her folds, sucking on her clit and teasing her entrance.

She propped herself up on her elbows, looking down at him as he looked up at her. He didn't disconnect his mouth from her for the longest time, holding her tight against her mouth, as if not letting go until she came.

She could feel it rising within her and the more she moaned the more he teased.

"Phil." AJ panted, "Fuck, I'm gonna cum." She whispered, feeling him insert a finger underneath his mouth, filling her a little, teasing her like she'd never experienced before. It was all too much.

"Fuck." AJ cried breathlessly, feeling herself reach an orgasm as her entire body went rigid, clenching her fists and arching her back as Punk watched her, slowly backing his mouth off from her centre as he watched her orgasm, watching her cupping her breasts and moaning out. He was rock hard.

He kissed his way up her still quivering body all the way to her lips, pecking at them multiple times as she looked at him in a daze.

"How are you still breathing?" She laughed a little.

"I got a nose." Punk whispered as she moaned, feeling him kissing her neck again.

She could see him stroking his length between them, teasing her entrance before he paused for a second.

"Wait, are you…" He looked at her with hope that she was on birth control.

"Yes… yes, I'm on the pill." AJ nodded quickly, not wanting to waste any more time.

He didn't wait around, sliding his length inside of her as soon as she confirmed, filling her up with him as her mouth gaped open, no noise coming from it as she felt her breath hitch for a moment.

"Fucking hell." Punk moaned at the feeling, "Fuck, you feel so good." He moaned.

"That's big." She whispered to herself, looking down between them at his length buried deep inside of her, biting her bottom lip as she held onto his arms.

She then felt him take her hands and pin them above her head as she smiled a little, feeling him beginning to thrust slowly inside of her as her eyes rolled back. The slow pace was intense. She felt all of him. And he wanted her to.

He kept her hands above her head whilst pressing his lips against hers, thrusting in and out slowly as she moaned into his mouth.

"Fuck." AJ moaned blissfully. She really didn't want this night to end.

They wound up using every space the bed had to offer. The sheets had been kicked off onto the floor, one underneath them creased and damp as they switched positions. AJ couldn't describe how amazing it felt to be with him. It was intense and pleasurable and sexy. He took notice to what she liked, and then did it until she cried out in ecstasy.

It wasn't until she got on top of him where she realised this wasn't like any other relationship she'd ever have in her life. This was something on a whole different level.

Punk looked up at her, watching her perky breasts bouncing as she moved her hips up and down on him fiercely.

"I'm gonna cum." AJ moaned, placing her hands on his chest to steady herself, moving her hips up and down at a quicker speed, so desperate for another orgasm.

"Fuck." Punk watched her breathlessly, feeling himself getting close, not able to hold it back for much longer, especially not with her, as beautiful as she was, on top of him the way she was. He was about to lose it all.

AJ orgasmed around him as he followed straight after, spilling himself inside of her as she leaned over him, listening to him moaning as she kissed his neck.

AJ slowly lifted her hips up to release herself from his length, smirking as she felt some of his seed running out as she collapsed down beside him, breathless and exhausted.

"Fuck." Punk panted, running his hands through his now messy hair, keeping his hands behind his head as she looked up at him.

She'd never experienced sex where she hadn't felt used. Not until now. It was magical in every sense of the word.

"Yeah… fuck." AJ gasped, leaning up and pecking his lips as he laughed with her.

They passed out shortly after, not without Punk setting an early alarm so they could go back to the hospital before anyone woke or the staff came in.

Whilst he was in a deep sleep, AJ had woken up, not sleeping at the best of times, and not being able to shift the adrenaline from their wild and passionate night.

She lay watching him sleep for a little while before getting out of the bed, putting his shirt on and heading off into the bathroom to clean herself up a little before heading downstairs for a drink.

She walked into his kitchen, turning the light on and looking around. She had no shame in admitting she was nosey.

She opened up the fridge, finding a bottle of water and taking it out, chugging half before sitting it down on the table, wandering around the kitchen curiously.

She opened up some drawers, quickly realising how messy he was with random things buried in different drawers. She loved it.

It wasn't until she opened up one of the drawers which looked like he kept mail and paper work, that something caught her eye.

She pulled out the papers, sitting them on the table as she saw her mother's name on a folder, opening it up and feeling her knees weaken at the crime scene pictures, realising this was her mother's case file.

"Oh my God." AJ placed her hand over her mouth, looking at the tons of paper work he had, tears welling in her eyes as he saw a suspect list with her name circled and a question mark to it.

Suddenly she felt sick. She suddenly she felt like she needed to get away from him. As far away as possible.
