Sometime Later
"I love it here." Brooke remarked. Taking a short sip from her glass.
Lucas smiled up at her. "We've only been here a few hours. Barely scratching the surface. I'm excited for you to really see this town and explore everything it has to offer. Knowing we get to do this together makes it all so much more meaningful." He replied.
"I've always loved the beach you know that. Having a home like this where we can spend a lifetime creating memories is more then i can fully take in. I just am in awe that you bought this place and put together this weekend for us without me knowing anything about it. After all these years and everything we've overcome you manage to show me time and time again how much you love and value me. I'm never going to get used to that. Feel like i deserve it." Brooke confessed.
The expression on Lucas's face softened.
"I would give you the world if i could. You deserve this and more. You brought me back to life. In alot of ways and reminded me what true love and family is supposed to be about. We have so much more to experience to together. Just you wait and see." Lucas said.
Brooke felt tears well up in her eyes. "We're done with dinner. Let's spend some time by the fireplace. Enjoying the fact that there is only us here." She said.
"I'll start the fire. And you get dessert it's in the fridge on the top shelf." Lucas said.
Brooke smiled as she got up from her seat kissed him hard and raced towards the fridge.
Lucas got up from where he was seated. Going straight to the living room. Turned on the fireplace. Then took a seat and awaited her.
Brooke walked over with her arms full of a dessert tray. Placing it down on the nearby coffee table.
"Chocolate covered strawberries. You know my few weaknesses."
"We can indulge in these and whatever else we want." Brooke said. Sitting beside him.
Lucas took ahold of her hands in his.
Their eyes locked on each other.
"When i came back to town. I was broken, haunted, and hurting. I was determined to distance myself from my old life and anything that could bring me back to who i once was. But once you were apart of my life again there was no way i could ignore that and push it away. Then found out about the kids we shared. And that changed everything."
"We have been side by side helping each other grow and evolve into the best versions of ourselves. Now things have never been in a more stable secure place in every aspect of life."
"You are my present, future, and forever. Brooke Penelope Davis. Will you marry me.?" Lucas asked. Revealing the ring he had hidden.
Tears of happiness fell from her eyes.
"Yes. Luke there is nothing i want more then to be you're wife." Brooke replied.
Lucas slipped the ring on her finger. And pulled her into a kiss.
Brooke kissed him back. Eventually the two pulled apart.
"Come on. Give me a proper tour of our bedroom." Brooke said.

Brooke felt her heart jump into her throat as she heard the bedroom door shut with a loud bang.
She was laid down on the bed. Her body and hands aching to touch his. When he rejoined her on the bed. His lips crashing into hers. As Brooke kissed him back. Pulling off his shirt. Running her hands over his chest.

Lucas took himself out of them and kicked it to the side. Joining the rest of discarded clothing items throughout the floor.
