Reviews:
Drouppi : Yes Loki brainwashed people but not all of them were brainwashed, at least I don't think they were. If you remember Barton talking with Selvig before going to Germany then he mentions that Shield has no shortage of enemies, and I think it's more realistic for them to just hire goons or brainwash the leader of the goons than to quickly brainwash each individual one. So the ones that attacked Shield are all hired guns with the exception of Barton.
Home of the Brave : The suit can create weapons like swords and spears, but it has those claws (basically wolverine claws) already built in. If you mean why he has the claws then it was quite simply because I wanted him to have claws.
Druto : Padfoot is magical but I will explain what he is later on in the story.
Blaze1992 : It's what Natasha did to Barton in canon. And I would guess that it depends on the type of mind control.
Chapter 26 -
"Nat." Harry knocked on the door, a second later it opened to reveal Natasha. "You aright?"
"I've been worse." She shrugged, she then looked down and saw Padfoot next to Harry. "Hi boy." She smiled.
"How about Barton?" Harry asked, Natasha sighed before stepping out of the way and gestured Harry to come inside, Harry and Padfoot entered and closed the door. Harry saw Barton lying down on a medical bed with his wrists and ankles tied to the bed. Barton was awake, his whole body was tense, he looked exhausted and Harry could see veins popping out on his forehead and a look of concentration on his face,
"I think he's fighting off Loki's spell or whatever he used," Natasha admitted. "but I'm not the magic expert so I was hoping you could take a look."
"What happened?" Harry asked.
"I managed to find Barton and engaged him, he was still under Loki's spell so I decided my best course of action was cognitive recalibration." She replied. "I hit him really hard on the head." She added as an explanation.
"No need to explain, I did the same thing with Hulk." Harry waved her off. "Apparently great minds think alike."
"Is Banner okay?" Natasha asked.
"He's fine, probably sleeping." Harry replied as he walked towards Barton. "Hey Clint," Harry clicked his fingers, drawing Clint's attention. "what's your last name?" Harry asked.
"B...Barton." Clint gasped out as he shook his head.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" Harry asked as he held up three fingers.
"Three." Clint answered.
"Arrows are lame."
"Fuck off."
"Well good to know he's not totally damaged." Harry commented to Natasha before looking back at Clint. "Alright Clint, what I am going to do now is look into your mind and check to see if there are still any foreign presences inside."
"D...do it." Clint nodded his approval, wanting to make sure there was no more chances of him being mind controlled.
"Alright, stay still and relax." Harry replied as he looked into Barton's eyes and entered his mind, a minute or so later he exited Barton's mind and sighed. "You're fine," Harry said as Padfoot moved in and bit off the restraints on Barton's ankles. "there are still some pieces left but they're all leaving. They should be gone in a few minutes."
"Th...thanks." Barton sighed in relief just as Padfoot freed his wrists, Padfoot nudged Barton's hand with his head. "Thanks boy." Barton said as he petted Padfoot.
"Thank you Harry." Natasha said in an appreciative voice.
"I didn't do anything." Harry shrugged. "You two go and catch up or whatever, I'm going to check on Banner and then talk to Fury. Padfoot stay with them please."
"Woof." Padfoot barked as he nodded.
"Good boy." Harry said before he walked out of the room, he was about to teleport away when Natasha walked out of the room. "Nat, what's up?" Harry asked.
"I...just wanted to say thank you." Natasha replied.
"You already did that, I..." Harry found himself cut off as Natasha leaned in and kissed his right cheek. "...what was that for?"
"Just...being you." She shrugged, a small smile briefly appeared on her lips. "Just do me a favour, after all of this crap is dealt with, can we just sit down and talk? Please?"
"Fine," Harry said after a few moments of silence. "once we're done with Loki, we will sit down and talk."
"I'll hold you to that." She said before she walked back into the room, smiling at him from over shoulder.
Harry shook his head and teleported away.
"Banner," Harry said as he entered the room, he found Banner who was dressed in brown trousers and a purple shirt, sitting on a bed and looking down in deep thought. He looked up when he heard Harry. "you alright?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." Bruce replied after taking a deep breath.
"So what you're saying is that you are not fine and feel like shit." Harry nodded as if totally unsurprised.
"Speaking from experience?" Bruce asked.
"Well I've been injured a lot, and have healed quite a few people." Harry shrugged before he took his wand out and waved it around Bruce.
"What are you doing?" Bruce asked.
"Just checking to make sure you're fine," Harry replied. "no permanent damage." Harry said before looking into Bruce's mind. "Hmm, your mind should be fine, thankfully."
"You can tell that with a few waves off a wand?" Bruce said with disbelief.
"I have lost count of the amount of shit that I can do with just the wave of a wand." Harry shrugged. "You're fine, health wise at least."
"How many people...how many people did I..."
"None," Harry cut him off. "you damaged a ton of shit but it's repairable and nobody got hurt. Besides me." Harry added almost as an afterthought.
"I'm sorry," Bruce apologized. "the other guy...he's just...so out of control."
"Yeah but no," Harry shook his head. "the Hulk and you were both affected by Loki's mind spell."
"I didn't see any difference." Bruce frowned.
"Look," Harry sighed. "if I was the sort of guy who was good at this shit then I would probably have a nice speech to tell you about how the Hulk is really just a misunderstood creature but I do not have the patience for that. So instead I'm going to tell you to stop being a dick to the Hulk."
"Wait what?" Bruce blinked.
"Look, I knew a guy who had a similar condition to you. He would transform against his will into a creature which would attack any and everyone, he would actually transform every few weeks and lock himself up before, it didn't matter if he liked it or not. He didn't, he hated himself for it and thought it was best to just stay away and never tried to enjoy his life, eventually he tried to make peace with his 'other guy' and it made his transformations much easier and made the beast far less wild. I don't know much about the Hulk but I think that from his point of view you hate him along with everyone else who attacks him when he comes out."
"You think...I should make peace with him?" Bruce asked slowly, he looked unsure if he should actually consider it.
"I think that you should at least give the green guy a chance, I mean he stays locked away inside you for months and months only to be hated and attacked whenever he is allowed out." Harry replied, in a sort of way he understood Hulk, after all he and Hulk both knew what it was like being locked away, attacked and blamed for things you had no control over and being angry with the world. "Besides, he might even have a purpose beyond smashing things."
"Tony suggested the same thing." Bruce said softly.
"I would like to think the fact that I am the one who is suggesting it holds more weight over you." Harry said as he rolled his eyes. "Anyway, you'll be fine, I'm going to go see Fury. Just think about what I said."
"Fury," Harry said when he entered Fury's office, he saw Fury standing by the window and looking out into the distance. "so, everything went tits up." Harry said as he walked over and stood next to Fury.
"Well, that's one way to put it." Fury said in a soft voice.
"What were you thinking Fury?" Harry asked, also looking out the window, appreciating the beautiful and calming sky view. "You brought me, Rogers, Banner, Stark and even managed to get Thor all together. What were you hoping for? Some superhero team?"
"If you want a simple answer, then yes, that is what I was hoping for." Fury replied. "You all come from different worlds, different lives, different experiences, I believe that if you all manage to put in the effort then you could all become something great. Something that this world needs."
"What you were hoping for was a fantasy that likely wouldn't have worked." Harry responded.
"Before I had met you it was also very likely that magic did not exist." Fury countered.
"Fair enough." Harry softly snorted.
"Phil Coulson nearly died today, believing in heroes." Fury said. "He fought while believing in heroes, I believe in heroes."
"I'm not a hero Fury," Harry sighed. "Captain America probably, Iron Man...yeah. Thor, definitely has the potential to be a great one, so does Banner if he ever manages to get Hulk under control."
"But not you?" Fury asked.
"Fury I don't know what I am, I was never what I was supposed to be. Where I came from, they wanted a hero but I was never one because first I was too weak then I did things my own way. Saving lives, I don't have a problem with that, quite the opposite in fact. But rescuing cats from trees and helping old ladies cross the road, being a symbol of justice, hope and truth and so on, that's just not me. I would just as easily kill a man as I would save one."
"I'm not asking you to change who you are, nor am I asking you to become more than what you are." Fury said with a tired sigh.
"What are you asking then?" Harry asked, looking at Fury.
"I..." Fury turned his head and looked at him for the first time during this conversation. "am asking you to try. You have been through a lot, things that other people probably can't even imagine going through. All I ask is that you try one more time."
"Are you trying to give me hope?" Harry asked in a calm yet soft voice. "I have lost that more times than I can count."
"In that case you have got nothing to lose by trying one more time." Fury responded. "It's a lot to ask, I know, but can you please just try once more? Try for the others, try for yourself. I believe that you would be pleasantly surprised."
"Really?"
"I'd bet you ten bucks."
Harry sighed as he walked down the hallways of the hellicarrier, deep in thought. So much so that he nearly missed Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow walking towards past him. Captain America was wearing his costume with the helmet up and vibranium shield in hand, Barton had a quiver and bow, Natasha had her wrist gauntlets along with a couple of guns in her leg holsters.
"What are you guys doing?" Harry asked as he turned around and began following after them.
"Stark's taken off." Black Widow replied.
"We think he's worked out where Loki is." Cap replied as they all entered a jet.
"Hey," The Shield worker in the jet said. "you guys can't be in here."
"Son," Cap said in a tired voice. "just don't." He said right before Barton and Natasha walked past the Shield agent and took the two pilot seats.
"But I..."
"Look," Harry cut off the Shield worker. "just go, make a report and then enjoy your lunch or whatever, we have important things to do and not enough time to do so. Now get out of this jet on your feet or I'll throw you out on your ass." Harry said as he gave the Shield Agent a cold look, the Shield agent gulped before quickly rushing out.
The jet doors began closing but Padfoot ran inside before they closed, Padfoot quickly rushed towards Harry and rubbed his heads against Harry's leg. The jet slowly rose up before it flew off and flew out of the hellicarrier.
"Is he going to be alright?" Cap asked as he gestured to Padfoot. "I mean flying and then we're all going to likely walk into a fight."
"He can handle himself." Harry said with a knowing smile.
"Fair enough," Cap nodded, deciding to take Harry at his word. "Everything good?" Cap asked Clint and Natasha.
"All good Cap." Barton replied.
"I take it that you think you're good enough to be back in the field." Harry said to Barton.
"I like to think that I am," Barton nodded. "I'm good enough to shoot an arrow through Loki's eye."
"Glad to hear it." Harry said before turning to Cap. "So where are we heading and what do you know about it?"
"Alright," Cap said as he sat down. "me and Stark were talking about Coulson when suddenly...
"Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity." Loki said as he and Stark entered the penthouse of Stark tower. Tony had just landed at the tower a few moments ago, his robots removed his damaged Iron Man suit. Tony felt a lot more vulnerable without his armour but since it was really damaged he knew it wouldn't do much good.
"Uh...actually I'm planning to threaten you." Tony replied as he walled towards the bar.
"You should have left your armour on for that." Loki smirked.
"Yeah," Tony replied as he got behind the bar. "it's seen a bit of mileage, and you have the glowstick of destiny. Would you like a drink?" Tony offered.
"Stalling me won't change anything." Loki replied.
"No, no, not stalling, I am threatening, big difference." Tony corrected him "No drink? You sure? I've got some really nice and expensive ones, Pepper wishes I spent less on them actually but I'm rich so...I fear I might have diverted too far...well if you're sure. I'm having one." Tony said as he picked up a bottle and began pouring himself a drink.
"The Chitauri are coming, nothing will change that." Loki said, possessing all the confidence in the world. "what have I to fear?" He asked.
"The Avengers," Tony answered, Loki gave him a look that clearly said he did not know what Tony was talking about. "it's kind of what we call ourselves." Tony began explaining. "It's sort of like a team, Earth's mightiest heroes type of thing, you get the idea."
"I've met them." Loki said with an amused face, mentally remembering his escape on the hellicarrier.
"Yeah," Tony said with an annoyed smile. "it takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a head count, shall we? First of all we have Thor, your brother, the demi-god of Thunder." Loki turned away at the mention of his brother, allowing Tony to sneak two bracelets onto his wrist. "Next we have the one and only Captain America, a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to legend. Next up on our list is Bruce Banner, a man with breathtaking anger management issues. Followed up by Black Widow and Hawkeye, a couple of master assassins with a grudge against you. There's me, naturally."
"Of course, how could I forget you?" Loki said in a dry voice.
"And if that's not enough then we also have Grim, the magical wizard who kicked your ass and turned you into a crying little baby with a single spell. What was it called again? Oh right, 'crucio' I believe it was," Tony said, not even bothering to fight off the smirk that appeared on his face when he saw a small shiver go through Loki. "He will be coming too, I reckon he's probably not too happy with you either. Him plus the others and you, big fella, have managed to piss off ever single one of them."
"That was the plan."
"Not a great plan," Tony shrugged as he walked out and past the bar after taking a few sips of his drink. "because when they come they will come for you." He said as he walked towards Loki.
"I have an army." Loki reminded him.
"We have a Hulk." Tony replied as if that solved everything.
"Your plan is based on a mindless beast?" Loki raised an eyebrow.
"You're missing the point," Tony rolled his eyes. "there's no throne, there's no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe you're army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you." Tony said as he stopped in front of him. "Because if we can't protect the Earth then you can be damn well sure that we'll avenge it." Tony finished before taking another sip.
"How will your friends have time for me..." Loki walked towards Tony menacingly. "...when they're too busy fighting you?" Loki tapped his scepter on Tony's chest, unknowingly tapping his arc reactor, his expression instantly turned to one of surprise when Tony wasn't taken over by the scepter's magic. He tried it again only to receive the same result. "This usually works" Loki frowned, wondering what the hell was wrong with the scepter.
"Well performance issues, it's not uncommon," Tony replied. "one out of five..." Tony found himself being cut off as Loki grabbed him by the neck and tossed him to the floor ."Jarvis, anytime now." Tony groaned as he stood up.
"You will all kneel before me!" Loki said as he grabbed Tony by the neck and raised him into the air.
"Jarvis deploy!" Tony gasped out. "Deploy!"
Loki tossed Stark through the penthouse window and Stark shot down towards the ground. As Stark fell a red machine flew down after him, two red laser devices appeared out of it and scanned the bracelets on Tony's wrists, after it had finished the machine had attached itself to Tony and began transforming. A few seconds later Tony was in a fully functioning Iron man suit. Tony quickly activated his suit and barely stopped himself from crashing down onto civilians and the pavement, Iron Man flew up so he was now flying right next to the window that Loki had thrown him out of.
"And there's one other person you pissed off, his name is Phil." Iron Man said before he shot Loki with a repulsor blast, however he was surprised when a red beam followed his blast and hit Loki at the same time, Loki flew back and cried out in pain as he landed. Iron Man turned around and saw Grim in full costume flying in front of him. "Oh...hey." Tony greeted him. "Nice to see you here."
"Stark." Grim nodded.
"That red beam that you shot at Loki, was that by any chance..."
"Crucio, yes." Grim nodded.
"Delightful." Tony replied. Any further response was cut off by a large blue beam shooting out from the top of the tower and into the sky, a massive blue portal appeared and aliens began flying out. "Right...army."

"Get my phone and contact Grim." Fury said to Coulson.
"Uh sir..." Coulson replied.
"Which one is Grim?" He asked while looking through his contacts, all of which were the exact same besides the numbers attached to the end.
"Motherfucker number 1." Fury replied.
"Thank you.
Omake 2 :
"Pick a pet." Harry said as he took Bucky to the Pet shop.

"Yeah." Harry asked right before a puppy charged head first into the cage bars.
"I'm picking that one and I'm calling it Steve."
Omake 3 :
Natasha looks at Harry who had been listening to Groot say 'I am Groot' for the last half hour. Once Groot goes she approaches him.
"What did he say?" She asked.
"I have no idea, I just guessed when to nod and shake my head, I think it worked out." Harry replied.
"Hey," Rocket said as he walked up to him. "Groot told me that you agreed to help him wash his acorns and help him score with the oak tree at the park, thanks man, it saves me a lot of time." Rocket laughed as he walked away.
"...F**K!"
