ZELOTYPIA (Excessive Jealousy)
Hailey entered the Precinct with a male that none of them recognized, except for Ruzek.
"Why the hell is Josh here?" Ruzek asked pulling Hailey into the break room by her arm.
"Let go of my arm, and find out." She said going into Voight's office. Ruzek watched through the window as Voight's expression changed from rock cold, to that of gratitude.
"Thank you, for understanding." Hailey told Voight.
"No problem, Hailey. there is always a place back here in Intelligence if this doesn't work out." Voight said giving her a hug.
"Stop what you are doing and pay attention!" Voight snapped.
"Go ahead, Hailey." He said nudging her forward.
"Um...I'm not really sure how to tell you this...but I have decided to leave the Intelligence Unit." Hailey said, weakly, looking around at her team mates faces plastered with shock.
"Why?" Kim asked her alarmed.
"I'd rather not talk about it." She said as she turned to leave.
"No. no. this is not happening! You owe us a reason." Ruzek said blocking her way.
"She doesn't owe any of you a damn thing!" Josh snapped pushing past Ruzek,
"Are you sure about this?" Kim asked trying to approach her.
"She's sure." Josh said leading Hailey towards the stairs.
"Let her speak for herself for God's sake!" Jay said madly. But this time Josh stayed silent and smirked. Hailey didn't even turn to look back, as she made her way down the stairs, past Sargent Platt's desk and out of the precinct.
"Something isn't right. Hailey would never just leave, without a explanation." jay said grabbing his black, leather, jacket and heading towards the stairs.
"Wait, jay. you don't know Josh as well as I do..."
"What are you trying to say Ruzek?" Jay asked him, waiting impatiently for an answer.
"It's'safer for us to stay out of this." Adam told him.
"You want me to just "forget" my partner!" Jay snapped back.
"Of course not." Ruzek said to Jay.
"Then what!" Atwater snapped
"Just let her go." Ruzek said, starting to turn around.
"What aren't you telling us?" Kim asked him, now jumping into the conversation.
Ruz, Is Hailey in danger?" Jay asked him, all of them intent on getting answers.
If I tell you, are you going to run off and play "hero?" Ruzek snapped at him.
"What the hell kind of question is that?!" jay snapped back.
"Just because you sleep together…"
"That has nothing to do with that, and you know it!" Jay said, starting to get frustrated.
"She's my partner! And if you can't tell me if she could be in dqanger, I guess I will have to find out myself!" Jay said heading for the stairs.
"Don't you fucking dare!" Ruzek snapped, grabbing Jay's arm.
"That's it!" Jay said flipping around, catching Ruzek in the jaw with a left hook!
"So that's how you want to do this!" Ruzek said going right after Jay!
"Halstead! Ruzek! I do not tolerate this kind of behavior in my Unit! Leave! Don't come back until you can both act civil." Voight roared.
"Serge…."
"Stand down. just let them go, Burgess" Voight told her.
"They are going to beat the hell out of each other!" She said turning to head down the stairs.
"I said to stand down!" Voight said, slamming his hand down on Haliey's empty desk.
"Act natural!" he threatened her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder, making it appear as if they were a couple.
"That wasn't so hard, now was it!" Josh laughed as he forced her to walk to his car. Hailey glared at him, as he opened the car door.
"Get in, sweetheart." Josh said. Hailey wanted to fight back, but knew that if she did, She would jeopardize the whole Intelligence Unit.
"Good, girl." Josh said slamming the door shut, walked around to the driver's side, he went to open the door, but Hailey reached over and locked all of the car doors!
"Nice try!" Josh laughed holding up his keys and unlocked the passenger side door, got in, shut the door behind him. He slid the key into the ignition.
"After that stunt you just pulled, i should just kill you, but…." He said, turning into an empty dirt lot, pulling Hailey from the car and throwing her down onto the dirt, covered ground.
"Go ahead. But when my team finds out…"
"What team? The one that I just destroyed?" he laughed, kicking her in the side!
"You don't know who you are dealing with!" Hailey said, jumping to her feet.
"I'm not scared of your stupid boyfriend!" he laughed at her.
"Jay, will make you wish that you were never born!" hailey snapped back.
"You mean your partner, Halstead?" he laughed. She looked at him with a look of confusion on her face.
"I'm talking about Ruzek!" He watched as she went white.
