At the presence of the moon, Azure found himself quietly getting ready, after he was sure his sisters had fallen asleep, he slowly opened the door and exited, closing the door as quietly as he could behind him, and headed to the entrance of his school, pulling his hood over his head, noticing Kyros had done the same with his white jacket, and Drake had put on a red jacket for the sake of doing so, himself. "Sorry I'm late...I had to be careful with getting out, Glace isn't a heavy sleeper when it comes to me and Kristall." He admitted.
"It's fine, you're only about 2 minutes late, anyways." Kyros commented. "Still, let's get going, then. According to the rumors, that alleyway over there leads to the underground fights. Be careful, and don't give out unnecessary information. You never know who could try to use it." He said, as he lead the group towards it, seeing a bunch of grown men fighting each other, but also seeing them grunt or shout in pain every time they took damage, making the three boys relatively curious, before hearing a voice.
"You kids shouldn't be here." A man with black hair said to them. "Even if you hide yourselves, this place is dangerous." They remarked.
"Well, what about you? Why are you here, if you're trying to warn people off of the place?" Drake asked.
"The underground's not my business anymore...but I know what it does to people. If you kids came here thinking it was some kind of cool dark experience, You're better off leaving now. It's not worth it." The man said, simply.
"But we didn't come here for that...We heard rumors about a strong fighter that comes by. The one that exposed some of the other underground rings..." Azure admitted.
"Azure..!" Kyros said. "That may be saying too much..!" He said, Azure flinching, as the man...seemed to laugh a bit.
"I see...So that's why you came. Admittedly, I came for the same reason. It's only natural to want to see if the rumors about a strong fighter are true, after all. However...I don't know if you kids are cut out for this kind of environment." The man admitted, before holding out a deck. "So, If one of you can beat me, I'll let you enter, and help you find that rumored fighter. If I beat all of you, however...You all hit the road. Understand?" The man asked.
"...We don't have much choice...Fine, we'll do it." Azure said, before hearing a voice.
"Actually...I'll do it." A female voice said, as Azure looked over in slight surprise.
"Kristall..?! What are you doing here..?" Azure asked.
"You were talking audibly on the phone. I decided to follow you." Kristall said.
"Are you mad..?" Azure asked, as Kristall just pat him on the head.
"Of course not. If you had gone alone, I might have been...Still, if the condition for meeting that rumored fighter is to beat you, then the least I can do as your big sister is help you and win a fight." Kristall said, as the man's eyes slightly narrowed.
"She's your sister, huh? Rumors spread fast in the underground...Even rumors from more than 5 years ago." The man commented, Kristall shrugging.
"...If you know who I am, that's fine. However, I came to support my brother and his friends, and make sure they got out of the underground in one piece." Kristall said, before catching a pair of gloves the man tossed.
"In that case, you'll be using those gloves with your Neo-Fight System. If you're so aware of the underground, you must know what they do, right?" The man asked.
"I've never personally been to the underground, but if your rumors are right...They'll cause an electric shock every time damage is dealt, right?" Kristall asked.
"That's right. However, this will still be a regular fight. I'm not going to resort to the underground tactics...I've been done with that for years." The man said, putting the gloves on. "My name's Jun, and if the rumors serve...I already know your name, Kristall." Jun remarked.
"...I see. I suppose it wouldn't have been hard to learn that, since those fights were televised..." Kristall commented.
"Exactly. You became a topic of interest, beating adults even since you were 12 years old. Some would even say you had a gift with your cards. I wasn't expecting to meet you here, but this just means I may end up seeing two fighters of interest tonight." Jun said, before putting the gloves on, and turning on the Neo-Fight System, his first vanguard laying facedown. "Still, enough talk. Let's fight." Jun said.
"My thoughts exactly." Kristall said, putting her own gloves on, the Neo-Fight system activating as well, before taking out a coin. "Let's settle the first turn in a normal manner. Heads or Tails?" She asked.
"...Tails." Jun said, simply, as Kristall flipped the coin, and caught it, putting it on her other arm.
"...Heads. The first move will go to me, then." Kristall said.
"In that case, we're ready to begin." Jun said, as his hand appeared in front of him, redrawing, as Kristall did the same.
"Stand up, Vanguard..!" The two declared in unison, as pillars of light appeared, and from Jun's, a familiar beast appeared.
"Reborn Anti-Hero Larva, Zeal." Jun said, simply, as a baby dragon composed of clear crystals appeared on Kristall's side.
"Crystal Dragon, Clear." Kristall said.
"This is the first time I've seen your sister fight..." Drake admitted, before looking over at Azure. "We can leave this to her, right?" He asked, Azure nodding.
"Yeah...even before she got that new deck...She was always stronger than me. I have faith that she'll pull this off for us." Azure commented.
