You should give Hibari some homemade chocolate.

It had been a couple of days since Yamamoto told her this and even now as she sat in the rooftop with Hibari napping on her lap, the blonde contemplated about those words. She should not focus so much but tomorrow was going to be Valentine's Day. The chocolate that she wanted to give to Tsuna, Yamamoto, Gokudera and the other males in her life was already bought.

Hibari's chocolate was still a debate in her mind and the blonde sighed. Her hand wandered to Hibari's cheeks and without a second thought, she stroke his cheek. The softness of his cheeks was enough to sooth her as she contemplated about tomorrow. Should she really do as Yamamoto suggested? It would be a lot of effort.

But he helps me with the clean-up. The memories of the past year flashed before her eyes and Naruto exhaled. She looked down at the napping boy and allowed her eyes to drop to his thin lips. Giving him some cheap chocolate would make it seem like the alliance they have between them was not strong, when it was actually really strong. Her finger traced his lips as the memory of what happened in Kokuyo Land flashed before her eyes.

I don't think I can ever forget what

"Do you like my lips too, Little Fox?" Hibari yawned and the blonde snapped her head at him. Blue eyes widened as amusement leaked out of Hibari's tone. She bit back the little squeak that threatened to spill out of her mouth and she pulled her finger away from his lips. How could she do that? But his lips were soft and she could distinctly remember what his future self had done to her.

He took away her first kiss and made her feel desirable. Ten years. That was what his future self told her and she wondered how she ended up being with him. No. The better question was why she was now willing to believe that illusion? Was it because of what have been happening between them? Maybe. She was not certain.

But she did know his lips were soft.

Think of something else. She inhaled as grey eyes continued to inspect her. It was better for her to focus on whether or not to make some chocolate for him. Making chocolate for him was meaningful. In her opinion, it came from the heart but there could be a lot of meaning that he might mistake if she gave it to him.

If she gave him homemade chocolate then it might imply she had strong feelings for him. Did she want to give that kind of message? There had been one close call with a kiss. A kiss that she stopped from happening because the idea of carrying romantic feelings terrified her. Well it was the idea of being vulnerable that scared her.

But Hibari did deserve chocolates which held a lot of deep meaning.

"Little Fox."

The blue-eyed girl blinked as grey eyes gazed deeply into her eyes. What are you thinking about? That was what she understood from his tone and the look in his eyes. She hummed a small tune as she debated about how to bring up the topic with him. She was not going out right tell him that she planned to make chocolate for him but Naruto did need to know what kind of chocolate he liked.

She had never seen him eat chocolate but Naruto could guess what he liked. I still shouldn't be so arrogant to think I know his preferences. It was this thought that gave her the push to talk about the topic. A sigh escaped her lips and the blonde combed through his black hair. She lowered her head and Hibari made no sign of annoyance about her hair touching him.

"Valentine's Day is tomorrow," she commented. Hibari sighed and closed his eyes. At first glance, it would look like he did not care but Naruto could see the slight tension on his forehead. A sign of his annoyance towards the day. She smiled softly and let out a little laugh. Grey eyes opened, not looking one bit amused by her laugh.

She could only imagine his pain.

"The herbivores will herd even more tomorrow," he grumbled. The smile on her lips widened as grey eyes fixated on her lips. Naruto should look away or at least drop the smile but it was amusing to see Hibari like this. He looked a little bit like a child or maybe it was the fact his tone almost sounded petulant in her ears.

A grumpy Hibari was probably scary in the eyes of everyone else but it was cute in her eyes.

"You really don't like Valentine's Day, do you Hibari?" Naruto mumbled as her hand stroke his hair. Another sigh escaped from the boy's lips and he closed his eyes. The lack of answer could mean a lot of things but judging from the way he was relaxing against her lap, she would guess that her words were on point. The knowledge made her chuckle and without a second thought, she touched the tip of his nose.

The boy opened his eyes and raised his eyebrows at her. The blonde curled her lips into a wider smile as her blue eyes swept from his forehead to those stormy grey eyes. Why did you do that? His eyes asked that question to her and Naruto paused. Should she be honest with him? He did prove time in and time out that he would never judge her.

"I felt like it," she admitted. Blue eyes widened when she saw the little smile creeping up on his lips. Butterflies erupted in her stomach and a snort escaped from Hibari's lips. I know he can show his emotions but it really gets to me. She could feel her ears burning and a part of her wondered if her face was as red as a tomato.

Judging from the way the older boy's lips were twitching, the answer was a yes.

"Do you like Valentine's Day, Little Fox?" He asked. Curiosity shone through his grey eyes, telling her that he was genuinely interested to know about her feelings towards the wretched day, and Naruto paused. She should tell him about her feelings towards the day but it meant opening up to him. Then again he did open up by admitting he disliked the romantic holiday.

That was probably more than what some people would get from him.

"I always saw that romantic holiday as one of the most annoying days in the year," she replied as her hand continued to detangled the tangles in his hair. Blue eyes faded and a scowl played on her lips as the memories of her time in the Academy flashed before her eyes. "Girls would cry for days because their crushes rejected them and the whole day just get depressing for no reason."

Hibari nodded and Naruto looked up at the sky. People always thought she was a cold-hearted bitch or an annoyance whenever she complained about their behavior but she would like to think she had her head straight. So what if someone rejected them? They should just get back up and brush it off. It was a crush on a guy they did not know anything about.

Shaking her head, the blonde looked down at Hibari. Now that she thought about it, none of those girls went to the extreme effort of asking their crushes what they liked to eat. It is the thought that counts. That was what the mothers would say to their daughters but Naruto really did not think that it showed effort.

Not a single one of them actually tried to get to know their crush but Naruto knew she was going to do things differently from them. Not that I have a crush on Hibari. She was just going to ask these questions because she did want him to actually eat what she made for him. It was also a gift that showed her gratitude to him. Nothing more and nothing else.

She would make that clear to him tomorrow.

Hopefully.

"Hibari, do you like chocolate?" Naruto asked, tilting her head to the side. The black-haired teen blinked and stared at her for a good ten minutes as if he was trying to figure out what was going through her head. She kept her eyes focused on him, not allowing him to figure out what was going through her mind. She did not want him to find out that she was going to make chocolate for him.

It was okay for him to think she brought it but the blonde did not want him to learn about the surprise. I will tell him when I give him my chocolate tomorrow. She hummed a small tune as her hand continued to brush against his hair. The black-haired boy closed his eyes and let out a sigh that tickled her face. A small laugh escaped her lips and Hibari opened his eyes.

"I like them," Hibari answered. His grey eyes locked onto her and the blonde smiled at those words. That made things easier for her if you asked her. Now she would not have to worry about him not liking the chocolate that she would give him. But now I just need to ask his favorite type of chocolate. Her blue eyes lit up with determination, only to falter when Hibari looked at her lips.

His tongue kept peeking out and the blonde gulped. It should be a cool day but the temperature seemed to be rising up, almost like she was being burned by a fire jutsu. She took in a shaky breath. Why the hell was she focusing on this? It was time for her to focus on the more important thing. Wait, what was the important thing again? Right. His ton…his gift! She shook her head.

"Do you like milk chocolate or dark chocolate?" the whiskered teen asked, keeping her tone steady. Hibari tilted his head to the side and looked almost thoughtful at her question. While she waited for him to answer her, the blonde caressed his cheeks. It felt calming to touch him like this. It helped her to feel the touch that she never really had as a little girl.

The black-haired boy regarded her and curled his lips into a smirk as his grey eyes gleamed with understanding.

"I enjoy dark chocolate, Little Fox."

Why did she have a feeling that she just walked into a trap?

"Uzumaki-san!"

Naruto snapped her head around when she heard a familiar high-pitch voice called out to her. Blue eyes turned absolutely blank at the sight of Kyoko running straight to her. It would be a good idea for her to walk away but people would whisper if she dismissed the school idol of her year. While she was starting not to care about what people think, Naruto still did not want to deal with accusations from their classmates.

The brown-haired girl grabbed the sleeve of Naruto's uniform, panting as her golden eyes gleamed with hope alongside with some anxiety. A single eyebrow was raised at the girl. It was rather odd for her classmate to call her out, but then again today was the first day that she actually went to classes. Since she learnt everything in the Academy, the blonde saw no point of always attending classes.

If it were not for her good grades and the fact she was not a delinquent, the teachers would probably call her out for her attitude.

"Sasagawa-san, is there a reason that you called me out?" Naruto asked. She narrowed her eyes at the students, who were now slowing down in their steps to look at them. Did they really want to listen to what Sasagawa had to say to her? Honestly people say that she had no manners but Naruto knew better than to make it obvious that she was trying to eavesdrop to a conversation.

But she would have to give them some credit for trying to be discreet for a civilian, not many civilians would bother to try and be discreet.

"Haru-chan and me were wondering if you wanted to join us tomorrow," Kyoko answered with a nervous smile playing on her lips. Her golden eyes gleamed with hope and Naruto just stared at her with blank eyes. She should just listen to what the girl wanted to say before dismissing her. "We are going to learn how to make chocolate from Bianchi-san!"

Cheerfulness leaked out of her voice and the blonde wondered how the girl could still be so happy after a long day in school. I want some of her happy pills right now. It was stressful for her to think of how to make the chocolate for Hibari. It felt like she was trying to make chocolate for her boyfriend and Hibari was not even her boyfriend.

He was her ally and her ally deserved to have edible, tasty sweets. If I make chocolate with Bianchi then I will be sending Hibari to the hospital again. She had only met the woman from a distance but Naruto had seen the woman with her poison cooking, chasing after a green-eyed boy. There was no way for her to know the woman knew not to make her food poisonous but Naruto was not going to take the chance.

Kusakabe will kill me and Hibari is going to take advantage of my mistake. She would rather not deal with Kusakabe grumbling about the paperwork left by Hibari or having Hibari demanding for things that she had no time for. There was also the fact she had training to do after school with Jiraiya. Her mentor was hopefully going to teach her another chakra control exercise.

She shook her head and regarded the hopeful eyes of her classmate. I should pretend to be happy with the offer but I know there might be another reason for them to ask me to come. Naruto knew she was not the most friendliest person. Kyoko might have no problem talking to her but Haru was a little bit terrified of her.

Actually the girl was terrified because of the prices that she demanded from Tsuna.

"Why are you asking me to join you?" Naruto asked. She stuffed one hand into her pocket and tightened her grip on her bag as golden eyes did not falter one bit at her rude tone. Then again she spends time with Sawada and in return Gokudera. The thought made her sigh as she looked around the school yard.

"We thought it would be a nice way for us to bond," the girl answered. Blue eyes regarded the girl and the blonde could see the sincerity in her eyes, telling her that the brown-haired girl was being honest in that sense. But Naruto could see her body quivering as if she was trying to gather the courage to say something else.

Naruto took a deep breath. She needed to keep her temper in check because if she ever wanted her plans to come to fruition then she would need to learn how to not be rude. Besides I will never hear the end of it from everyone in our class. She exhaled. "What is the other reason? I don't like bullshit Sasagawa-san, if you aren't straightforward with me then this whole thing would not work."

Kyoko nodded.

"Ryohei-oniichan refuses to tell me anything about the attack against him," Kyoko admitted. "I argued with him but he is still not budging from the idea that I don't deserve to know the truth."

It is rather annoying when someone decides for you whether you deserve to know the truth or not. That was something Naruto understood well from her experience with the Hokage. She thinned her lips as golden eyes shone with frustration. But she was irritated that the girls tried to do it in a round about way to get information from her.

Haru of all people knew that she would give them the information if they gave her a lot of money. Then again my prices are ridiculously high for students. She rubbed her chin and regarded the girl. She could always say no just because they tried to trick her. But this was her chance to manipulate the situation to her advantage. Kyoko was someone that she did have plans for the future.

The brown-haired girl was also someone that could be useful too. I would just have to train her in the arts and make her learn how to be less loud. That thought made her pause. But how was she going to do this? To suddenly agree was out of character for her. She would have to do this slowly and make sure Sawada did not learn of her plans.

His whining would grate her ears.

"I'm not going to learn chocolate with you guys," Naruto informed the girl. The brown-haired girl slumped her shoulders and the blonde sighed. It was nothing personal but Hibari's chocolates should be edible. "I have plans for tomorrow and that is why I can't hang out with either of you guys."

As soon as the words spilled out of her mouth, Kyoko looked a little bit hopeful. The blonde pulled out her phone and clicked on her calendar. I'm going to be busy until the weekend. Bobbing her head, Naruto focused her attention on the girl. If the girl wanted to know what happened to her brother then she should give her the information that she wanted.

"I can tell you everything that you want to know on Saturday," the blonde said. Kyoko smiled widely at those words and Naruto regarded her with blank blue eyes. Even though she was going to give the information to her, she had a reputation to maintain. "But if you want all of the information then you and Haru will have to pay me in some way for the information."

Kyoko did not agree immediately, which told Naruto that the girl was smart. She is just too naïve. The thought did make her pause as her blue eyes regarded the girl. What would happen if she just knock out the naivety? Would she get stronger? Or weaker? Naruto would like to think Kyoko would get stronger and have some backbone.

But it could be the other way around and knowing this, made her realize that she was going to gamble everything. Gambling with money is one thing and a person is another thing. She was willing to take the risk because the benefit would outweigh the risk.

"Can I talk about it with Haru-chan?" Kyoko asked.

Naruto nodded.

"I will give you till Friday to tell me your decision."

Their decision would determine her plans for the future and until they made their decision, she was going to worry about making sure the chocolates turned out nice for Hibari.

She really could not mess up with those sweets.

(Next day)

"You have got a lot of paperwork, Hibari."

Naruto stared at the black-haired boy, who had his back hunched over his desk as he read through one stack of paper from the large pile of papers on his table. The sunlight shone through the windows behind Hibari and almost gave an angelic glow to her ally. With the way that sun shone down on him, it reminded her again that the boy was attractive.

That she was alone with an attractive boy in a room. Although this time, the room is larger. She could run away again if things got tense between them. There was also a window this time too. If she really could not handle things again then it would be easy for her to jump off from the window and run away.

Hibari looked away from the paperwork and fixated his grey eyes on her. Those grey eyes looked from her blond-hair to her whiskered cheeks before landing on her pink lips. His eyes gazed at her lips for the longest time, looking at it like it was a fruit that he wanted to taste. She should just put the sweets on his table and go away.

But it would be a cowardly thing for her to do.

His eyes looked away from her lips before fixating on her neck. Naruto gulped. Was it weird that she just remembered how he kissed and bit her neck? That she leaned her neck to him and gave him better access to her neck. She could still remember how her mind just shut down when he did it. She steadied her arms as those eyes looked to the wrapped box in her right hand.

Do I just give it? Or do I start explaining about the box? She did not know how to go about this whole gift giving on Valentine's Day. Was it the same thing as giving a gift to someone on their birthday? Because she was amazing when it came to doing that. But this felt different for her. When she gave gifts to Hinata, Shikamaru and Choji…she never had the urge to run away like a little prey.

She never had butterflies in her stomach.

"What brings the Little Fox to my office?" Hibari asked. His tone sounded innocent but his eyes were anything but innocent if you asked her. His eyes looked heated. They looked at her like she was the water he needed to quench himself and that made her heart raced against her chest. She really should just pushed the box at him and run away. That was logical but her legs were not following her mind.

They were just stuck in place, not willing to walk away as the black-haired teen prowled at her. With his black hair and grey eyes, Naruto could almost picture Hibari as a panther that was ready to gobble up his prey. Well he does call me his prey. That was something he had been calling her for a while now but she did not feel like a fox at that moment.

She felt like a little rabbit that was going to be gobbled up soon.

"I came here to give you some chocolate," Naruto said. She should look away from him but the grace in his movement kept her attention on him. She should have also kept her tone cool and unaffected but she knew her voice squeaked at the end. Was she acting like this because of what happened between them? She had been fine the other day with him.

Then again, his voice hadn't sound so wicked yesterday.

"Then that box is my Valentine's Day gift?" The knowing glint in his eyes should have made her bristle but she could only flushed red in embarrassment at how the boy figured out her intentions so quickly. I should have made it less obvious. The victorious gleam in his eyes alongside that intensity in his eyes were doing things to her.

"Technically it is my thank you gift to you," Naruto answered. She should focus on everywhere but his eyes. The walls. The windows. Hell even the paperwork on his table was a better place to look than his eyes. If she looked at his eyes then she was going to be the little prey that was hypnotized by her predator.

She knew that but her eyes could not tear away from those stormy eyes that kept flickering from her neck to her lips. Those eyes looked at her like she was the oasis to his desert and that was something Naruto was still not used to. Hatred and annoyance yes but never desirable. Desirable was for other girls. For someone to want her so badly was something she still could not wrap her head around. It made her heart race and it also made her legs wobbled.

Naruto cleared her throat and Hibari gazed into her blue eyes. He was now only a couple of centimeters away from her. His whole body loomed over her, almost like it could cage her. Give him the box. She screamed those words in her mind and handed him the box of chocolates that she made for him.

He tore his gaze away from her and unwrapped the box. She held her breath as Hibari opened the box of chocolate, revealing all of the small animals that she knew he loved. Kittens. Puppies. Birds. Hedgehogs. Those were all the animals that she could find in the chocolate mold in the supermarket. It had been difficult for her to make up an excuse to Jiraiya and Haku about why she chose that mold.

"You like small animals and well I thought it will be difficult for me to find chocolate with animals that you like," she explained softly as grey eyes inspected every single animal that she made. "So I decided to make it from scratch since you helped me a lot in the last two years."

Hibari closed the box of chocolate and placed it in the side of the room before locking eyes on her. Walk away. That was what she should do since she was done with giving him chocolates. But amusement shone through his eyes and there was a dangerous glint in his eyes. Not the dangerous glint that he made when he was going to fight her.

No.

It was the kind of dangerous glint that made her whole body shiver. The kind of glint that made her heart race against her chest and made it difficult for her to breath properly. The kind of look that made her feel like she was the small prey and Hibari was the big predator who was going to devour everything that she had.

"There is one small animal that I can't find in there," Hibari whispered. She knitted her eyebrows together as his hand tilted her head up. The spicy scent of his cologne clouded her senses while the warmth of his hand left a mark on her. Look away. That was something she should do. Smack his hand was another reasonable thing for her to do.

"What animal?"

That was definitely not a reasonable thing for her to do.

Hibari lowered his head and locked his gaze on her. Hunger and desire were emotions that she could clearly see radiating from his eyes alongside another emotion that made her gulp. An emotion that Naruto was not used to seeing on a boy's face. She should push him away but her heart screamed at her to stay there.

Her breaths became short and rapid, the more he dropped his head down. Only a few centimeters away from her. Close enough for her to smell the scent of salt in his breath alongside whatever spicy meal he had. She could feel her whole body trembling as Hibari continued to gaze at her as if he was trying to figure something out.

"You miss the Little Fox."

Time seemed to have slowed down when Hibari pressed his lips against her. The scent of cologne enveloped her, made her whole brain shut down and stopped her reasoning. She knew she should think properly but his lips pressed against her like he thought she was someone who was wanted or maybe because his lips did leave a mark on her. She knew from his lips that he would do anything to have her. Maybe that was why she parted her lips, giving him permission to deepen their kiss.

Her whole body felt on fire as Hibari wrapped his arms around her. This was wrong. They were allies and allies don't kiss like this but the words were stuck in her throat. Except his older self did kiss her. They had a cub in the future and that means that maybe she was wrong. Maybe allies could do things like this.

Hibari pulled her in, claiming her mouth again and again until she was certain that her lips might be bruised. She could feel her knees buckling against him as if all the strength inside of her had been drained by him. She did not know how long he kissed her but Naruto knew that when he finally tore his lips away from her, she felt a deep sense of loss.

Grey eyes looked at her with pride while Naruto was certain that she was still at a daze. No, she knew she was at a daze because her brain was fogged up. It felt like there was a mist around her brain and her blue eyes just looked at him with wonder.

"The Little Fox is my favorite small animal."

Those words were now definitely something she could not purposely misunderstand.

A/N: So how was the kiss between Hibari and Naruto? What do you think about the pace between them? Please tell me of your thoughts about this chapter.
