Chapter 29 Rebuilding and Talk to Father

Fili's POV. It took a few days of negotiations with Uncle, Thranduil, and Bard but they got a deal to rebuild Erebor, Dale, and Laketown. Laila was still unconconsious. I never left her side less Uncle needed me or to sleep but she was never alone. One of the dwarves or her brothers stayed with her in the tents the elves set up for the injured and people to sleep. The dwarves were trying to get the royal chambers clean and organized to move her into the mountain before the snow was fallig.

I push the flap away as Remi and Zarrek sat near her. They weren't ready to leave until they knew their sister was alright.

"We are moving her now to the Royal Chambers." I said. Remi and Zarrek nod.

"No change. Father has been silent." Remi said.

"She's probably healing after using all her energy." Zarrek said.

"It's now a waiting game." I said. I walk over and gently scoop her up bridal style. I walk towards Erebor with Zarek and Remi walking with me. Thorin had sent word to the Dwarves in the Blue Mountains. My mother should be here in a month. I prayed to Mahal that Laila would be awake to meet my mom. I press a kiss to her head as we come through the gates of Erebor. Everything was turning out like it was before Smaug took the Mountain, under Thorin's watchful eye. I head for the royal chambers. Thorin and Kili were standing in the parlor, talking as we enter. Thorin didn't seem like it, but I knew he was worried about Laila.

"Her room is ready." Kili said with a grin.

"Lay her down and Fili. Get some sleep. You haven't slept since you haven't slept since yesterday." Thorin said.

"Yes Uncle." I said.

"I'll stay with her." Kili said. I gave him a smile.

"Thank you." I said. I enter the room and lay her on the bed. A fire was going in the fireplace as I wrapped the blankets around her. I run my hand across her check and sigh.

"Go. I'll get you if she wakes up." Kili said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I lean down and kiss a kiss to her forehead and head towards my bedroom and soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.

Laila's POV. Darkness was everywhere as I slept. I heard voices and talking. Fili's voice asking me to come back to him. Thorin sounding worried asking if I'll be okay.

"Laila." Father's voice came in my head. My eyes open to find myself in the halls of my father. Father stood in front of me.

"Father." I said.

"I am proud of you, my daugther. You saved the line of Durin." My father said.

"Fili? He's alright?" I ask.

"He survived. You gave him some of your life energy, making him immortal like you and your brothers. I will be blessing Thorin, Kili, and Dis with long life so he won't loose them." My father said, earning a smile from me.

"What about me?" I ask. My father gave me a sad look.

"After you saved Fili you were uncounsious for awhile. You were almost knocking on deaths doors, but there is something coming in the future that I see and your future is still intact. Make sure that dwarf takes good care of you, my daughter. You chose well." My father said.

"Thank you, father." I said. Blackness took me again.
