Hi guys. Just a little warning for some mild violence and some character death. (Flashbacks in italics) Thanks for reading and please do keep reviewing if you have anything to say. Thanks. :)
Everyone was still staring at Munkustrap. Macavity hadn't said a word. He just stood there, not saying anything just standing. Luckily they didn't have to wait for an answer for much longer. Macavity straightened himself up and looked around the room looking for anyone who he could fight if they said anything.
"Well? Are we going to get an answer?" Munkustrap said, folding his arms.
"Fine. If you want an answer then I'll give you one." Macavity finally said.
"Go on then." Munkustrap said, staring Macavity right in the face.
Macavity looked down at the floor and then looked back down at Misto. Misto couldn't look him in the eye. He had obviously told him a lie about exactly what happened.
"Okay. Maybe I haven't told the exact truth about how I left the junkyard." Macavity started.
Munkustrap scoffed. Macavity hissed in his direction, Munkustrap hissed back at him waiting for an answer.
"It was such a long time ago, maybe I've missed out a few details."
"A few?" Munkustrap smirked.
"Dad let him speak." Jemima said towards Munkustrap.
Munkustrap knew not to get on the wrong side of his daughter so kept quiet. Macavity continued.
Munkustrap and Demeter sat together. They had just started going out and it seemed to be going well. Especially as everyone didn't think Munkustrap would ever settle down with someone let alone Demeter.
"It's so quiet around here." Demeter smiled.
"That's a first." Munkustrap smiled back.
Demeter looked into Munkustraps eyes. His eyes were blue and sparkled in the moonlight, which she loved. Munkustrap was pretty much thinking the same thing. He was completely in love with Demeter and that was never going to change.
"HELP!" A scream came from the centre of the junkyard.
Munkustrap got up without a moment's thought. Demeter sighed as she knew he would have to go and investigate what it was. Munkustrap looked back at Demeter and sighed.
"I gotta…"
"Go?"
"Yeah. I'll be right back."
"You said that the last time."
"I promise."
Demeter waved Munkustrap off. Munkustrap nodded and ran towards the centre of the junkyard to find out what was going on.
"Help! Somebody help!"
Munkustrap came into the junkyard. There he was, Macavity was back from whatever he was doing and was holding both Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer in his arms.
"Mac." Munkustrap said slowly as he approached him.
"Oh look who's here to save the day!" Macavity laughed.
"Let them go Mac."
"I'll think about that… No."
"Mr Munkustrap help!" Rumpleteazer called in Munkustraps direction. Both Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were only a few weeks old. Munkustrap needed to do something and quick in order to save them.
"Mac…"
"So how's everything going round here? Haven't been here in a while."
"Nothing's happened."
"Really?" Macavity squeezed the two young kittens in his grasp.
"No. Let them go!" Munkustrap shouted, trying to get Macavity to change his mind.
"I don't think so."
Macavity went to go. Before he could, Asparagus, Skimble and Alonzo joined Munkustrap. Macavity turned round and was flanked by Old Deutronomy. Munkustrap took a little sigh of relief when they arrived. Macavity gave a little smile.
"Need help these days brother?" Macavity turned to Munkustrap.
Munkustrap got closer to Macavity. Macavity let the two young kittens go and they ran off to find Jelly or Jenny for help.
"Get out of here." Munkustrap hissed.
"I don't think so." Macavity repeated.
Before any of the toms knew it, Macavity had used his magic on Asparagus and Skimble. They flew backwards and were knocked out cold. Alonzo went to join Munkustrap and his father but Macavity thrust Alonzo into the air and threw him to the other side of the junkyard. Old Deuteronomy and Munkustrap were the only ones left to face Macavity now.
"Using your powers Mac? Scared to take us on?" Munkustrap teased Macavity.
"Don't underestimate me!" Macavity replied.
Munkustrap stopped in his tracks. Maybe Macavity was right, he didn't know how strong macavity was.
"Go ahead." Munkustrap said.
"Son don't." Deuteronomy called.
Munkustrap couldn't reply. Macavity lunged towards Munkustrap claws beared. Munkustrap was sent sideways. He stayed on the ground scrabbling in pain. Macavity then turned to Deuteronomy.
"Just you and me old man."
"Just calm down. Maybe we can talk about this."
"I've tried that for years. None of you ever listen."
"I am now."
"No you're not. You're just stalling until Munkustrap gets back up again."
"I am not."
"Okay then."
Macavity looked back at Munkustrap and then at Deuteronomy. He smiled. This put Deuteronomy on edge. Only bad things came from a smile like that.
"What?" Deuteronomy asked.
"Chuck him out." Macavity said pointing at Munkustrap.
Deuteronomy looked over at Munkustrap lying there. He couldn't do that, not to Munkustrap. He then looked back at Macavity, his other son. He couldn't kick either of them out!
"I can't." Deuteronomy finally answered.
"Then you have to go." Macavity said, powering up his hands.
Munkustrap managed just to struggle to his paws. He looked in the direction of the two toms. He tried to get up to save Deuteronomy but he put out a paw to stop him from moving any further.
"Dad." Munkustrap whispered.
Before Munkustraps eyes, Macavity had powered up his claws and was about to use them.
"I'm sorry it had to end this way." Macavity smirked.
"No!' Munkustrap shouted as his world came crashing down. Macavity pushed Deuteronomy to one side as Munkustrap ran over to the old cat.
"What have you done?" Munkustrap said in tears.
"What I should have done a long time ago."
"Get out."
"What?"
"GET OUT!" Munkustrap shouted.
Macavity ran out of the junkyard. Munkustrap leant over his father's body crying a lot.
0000
The whole lair was in silence. Macavity had just told the whole story of what had happened that night. Munkustraps eyes had filled up with tears as he was reminded of that night. Mungojerrie was nearly in tears also as he remembered who saved him that night.
"There you go. The whole story." Macavity said quietly.
Macavity knelt down to see Misto. Misto backed up a few paces to get away from him.
"Don't be scared." Macavity said to the young cat holding his face in his paws.
"Get away from him." Carbucketty hissed as Munkustrap couldn't say anything.
"I can do what I want!" Macavity shouted.
"Munkustrap do something." Mungojerrie joined in.
But Munkustrap did nothing. He stood there frozen which had never happened before. Mungojerrie and Carbucketty looked at each other for guidance but didn't get any.
"Get them out of here." Macavity said pointing his henchmen to the cats surrounding them.
