Ellia's Journal #6

An unending fever. It has been four days past since then, and his fever is not going away. The cure that I cooked still hasn't taken effect, I do not know if it does even, now I felt like a fool. He drinks and eats, little by little, and then sleeps, he never talks, he doesn't even recognize me and calls me a nurse, it feels like he's hallucinating or the pain is so strong that it made him hallucinate or mentally makes reality different to him. The fever just never ends, the last four days doesn't feel like four days and the last how many weeks doesn't feel like many weeks, it felt like months to me, months of being trapped inside with a dying friend of mine.

Everyday I have to console him, assure him that I won't leave him, that I will help him, and I'm glad that I'm here for him. Everyday, I have to clean the puke on the floor as his coughs so much that it causes him to vomit. It disgusts me but it doesn't matter, what matters is that my need to save his life overcomes whatever is happening. Even the regret of destroying the hearthstone crept up, I expected that to happen sooner than later.

With how much I concern for him, in a way I'm depending on him to save my life. I'll just wait for now...wait just a little bit more, in those four days, I used all my potions, all my brewed antidote for Terrokarantula's venom, there's nothing more that I can give, I can only hope and pray that he'll pull through, he's strong enough to do that. I know he's strong enough. I'll just wait- *a wet spot ends the journal.

The Unity of Sin'dorei's

El'nor to fa'se le teh (Coming slowly and tame.)
Ba'sha no falor talah (Tasting, the chill of true death)
Ash'al ni som shine to'ro (For I have seen it all)

It had been quite sometime for her to have heard her voice in a song. She never sang to anyone other than her sister, she once sang to her parents but they never seemed to care, that's usually the case for elven nobles and their children, though her parents have never been nobles at the start, they only became nobles because of how many nobles were slaughtered during the attack of Quel'thalas years ago. They came into their kingdom and slaughter all of the elves that they could find, Ellia was lucky that her parents were sensible enough to leave the place and let the attack pass, but when they came back at the request of Prince Kael'thas, she still could not believe the amount of blood and gore that was on the streets of Quel'thalas.

The memories were still fresh to her, how many people that she had to help as a priestess. How many children, women and men with wounds that almost killed them. Though the memories were still fresh and painful, in the end she managed to pull through, she'll avenge those who died by living her life. Only life, can defeat death. She says to herself. In the four days that Celvic was sick, she took note of everything, every mistake that she made, every drop of potion that Celvic drank, every puke that she had to clean and every outburst that the sick man creates, she took note.

Now, she just lets her back rest against the wall with Celvic's head resting on her lap, occasionally caressing his face to calm him down. It has been the most effective manner of helping him in his outbursts and seizures, she hopes best that her antidote had taken effect on the man. She had seen people die to Terrokarantula's venom, it is the same for everyone who got bitten, very high fevers, seizures, and vomiting, just like Celvic is experiencing, though she had to admit that most venom's exhibit the same effects, she remained her hopeful that her assumption was right, as most of the time the venom kills its victim inside the week, rarely does it go past that.

And most of the victims that recovered, recovers within the first three days, and the case for Celvic, it had been four days. Four days of unending fever and struggle for both of them. She looked at him, seeing his face covered in sweat, slightly shivering despite the amounts of blankets she covers him. A bowl of water at her side and a small cloth for her to use, dousing it with the bowl water and then wiping his face to clean him, to cool him down as his heat went up.

"It's been four days Celvic, I used all my potions and antidote on you, yet you're not improving in your health." She said to him, though she knew that he likely hadn't heard her, he would sleep without end, only waking for seizures and vomiting. "Do you know what caused this? Your prodding and sticking fingers on that small chest caused that, it has a mechanic that would pierce your fingers if its pressing against the keyhole, that's what got us in this mess." She chuckles, she wondered if Celvic, despite sleeping can hear what she say.

Gently lifting Celvic's head, she laid herself down against the wall and put Celvic's head on her stomach, laying down herself while still keeping her medical eyes on him. "A hearthstone was inside." She says, her voice was soft but slightly agitated and frustrated that it had come to this. "I should have used it and left so that I can be back home, safe and sound."

She trails her fingers on Celvic's brow, then sliding it down his cheek, his breath was fast and heavy at the same time. When she met Celvic, she had been hostile and distrusting, that had been her nature towards humans since the fall of Quel'thalas and it was proven more so when Garithos ordered their execution. She had hated humans, but when she was trapped here, she had known and met him and befriended him. Showed her the other side of humanity, just like elves they have the good and the bad. "But it means that I'll leave you here alone Celvic..." She softly says as she cupped his cheek, she changed her position so that she's sitting up, her face being close to his.

"And I promised to you, that I won't leave you here." She says as she leaned in and kissed his cheek. Ellia had grown accustomed to such intimate acts, though she's confident to do it considering Celvic is asleep and does not recognize her for the moment. Though she admits that all this affection towards him might not be that because she starts to grow fond of him, perhaps its because she's scared for her life considering she depends on him to get out of this place.

Oh please, stop denying it, if you believe what you are thinking right now, you would have used that hearthstone and left him here. Ellia's eyes widened for a moment, her heart stopped as she momentarily stopped her thoughts and began to contemplate that voice inside her head might be the succubus. Then after a few moments of thinking, she gives a soft sigh. It wasn't anyone else that is talking to her, it was just her own consciousness talking to her own self. But you didn't leave him, you wanted to save him, you're afraid for his life because deep inside you knew that you might have loved him.

She sighs as her hand touched her forehead, perhaps being trapped here might have developed her a case of Stockholm syndrome, she never knew herself how long she had been trapped here with Celvic, she had counted the days but the days felt slow. She would have grown feelings to anyone else had anyone been trapped here with her. Had it anyone else beside him, they would have raped you already. Her thoughts are just now bothering her. Look at him... For some reason she did, he stared at his peaceful sleeping form, his breaths are still heavy but no longer rapid as her right hand softly touches his cheek. His face, before this moment you would have left him the moment you had the chance on the hearthstone, but this human made you open your eyes, humans to you before being trapped here were traitorous savages that threatened to rape and kill you, but him? No, he befriended you, made conversations with you, introduce himself to you and even made laughs and exchanged ideas with you, and the same to you for him.

She felt like she's arguing with herself. Conflicted to the matters at hand, but nonetheless if she's fond of him or not she's determined to see it herself that they both make it through.

Ellia shifts her postion once again, as she lifts herself up, sitting against the wall at the head of the bed while gently placing Celvic's head on her lap to put themselves in a comfortable position. Everything was calm for now, and eerily quiet, but Celvic's loud but soft breaths give her small assurance that she's not alone even though he can't do anything, she knows he is fighting, fighting not just for himself but for him to help her. That's what they call the so called human spirit does it?

She had only experienced human scums, traitors and rapists that she seemed to have forgotten that humanity has good people in them. In a way their ill fated meeting made her smile a bit, softly caressing the locks of his hair. "I'm glad that I chose not to leave you here Celvic." She says as she leans on the wall, everything was quiet, there were no roars or footsteps outside, no wind inside the room to circulate, all that there is, is the sound of her own breathing and his.

Band'or shorel'alan (Prepare to say farewell)
Elu'meniel mal alann (May peace calm your heart)
Ash'al si ne fan'dala ni amin'e (For this is not goodbye)

Ellia slowly slithers her hand towards his as putting hers over his and then gently squeezing his calloused hands.

Ellia felt her captor's grips loosen, her hands were on her ears, covering just muttering and mumbling prayers in ope that all of this are a bad dream inside a younger mind, where she'll wake up from her sleep to see a pristine and beautiful Quel'thalas. But it was not reality, this is reality, metal clangs and blood gurgling screams, her whole body shaking as she's curled up in the corner with her ragged dress ripped apart by their human hands wanting to have a taste of maiden purity.

When the cell opened again, she just automatically screamed as hard as she could when a hand touched her. "Stop! Don't touch me please!" She yells loudly as she dug her nails at her scalp, her fear of being violated by then was just so overwhelming that she didn't notice the pleads of the elven lieutenant. She kept on and on of her screams until the voice of her own sister finally made her look up, despite this she still pleads. "Please, please, please, don't hurt me." She says, closing her eyes tightly before feeling her embrace.

"It's me, it's me, shh were safe, were safe, we're getting out of here." She assures as she finally opened her eyes, taking out the tears from her delicate cheeks with her soft fingers.

"They-they tri-tried to." She wants to say it, but she already understands. "They're dead, they're dead. No one is gonna hurt you."The beautiful image of her face calmed Ellia, her ragged and ripped clothes did not go unnoticed with her as she covers her with a cloak. Her breaths no longer fast and heavy as her gentle and warm embrace calmed her hysterical self.

After a few moments, they stood up as she watched a very large gathering of elves, there were some nagas even, she could see a couple of naga sorceresses, she is fascinated by them. "What is happening sister..." She asks, though still shaken. "And mother and father?"

"They're safe, they are here also." She says before adding. "We're getting out from here Ellia. These humans...they're just...horrible beings." She said to her, and Ellia couldn't agree more. There was a time that she respects them, but no longer. "Prince Kael is getting help from a few nagas, they said that they will save everyone first before leaving this place, I don't know how we are going to leave but I trust that he'll lead us somewhere safe." She said.

Her memories in the Dalaran dungeon were still fresh in her mind, a few years is nothing but a passage of time to Elven ages, it lingered in her mind like as if it just happened a few days ago, where they almost violated her. She would have died probably had no one saved her at that moment, but nothing else matter now. Their kingdom had risen again and Prince Kael'thas is dead from his insanity, though he might have betrayed his own people, she believes that he was a good man, but corrupted by the forces around him, and she'll always be indebted to what he did for them.

A few years had just gone by but entire histories and kingdoms were altered in a blink of an eye. A few years for her feels like a lifetime of struggle for her right now, where she's all around the world. "Is this how humans feel for having such short lives?" She asked as she looked down unto him. Celvic mentioned that he left because the money is too good to pass by and they were struggling, but she doubts that, somewhere inside of him she believes that he wanted to go out and explore the world for his short life to see. "I'm not buying what you said about leaving to solely provide Celvic." She says, she had been talking to the sleeping man to not go insane in the last few days. She had missed his voice. "There are other reasons, perhaps you loved adventure? I'm sure getting trapped here wasn't part of the plan." she chuckles.

She explores other things in her mind now, talking to him and to herself kept her mind intact, the few days were being alone in a room was really starting to get to her, and the silence was torturous if she does nothing. She caresses his hair, his oily hair stopped her action albeit though. Her face crumples in dusgust as she felt the oil in her hand and rubs it on the bed to scrape it off from her.

Celvic never bathes like in the nude inside the tub like she does. Preferring to take a cloth, bathe it in water and proceed to scrub all over him bit by bit with his clothes on. Though she once suggest that he bathes in the nude to be completely clean like herself, he dismissed her saying she might see something big and scary with her elven eyes.

She chuckles at that moment, Celvic telling her rather flirtatiously that he'll not bathe in the nude because he arrogantly implies that he has a rather imposing sexual prowess. She is not prude enough to be offended by that. He had his fair share of humor and kept it interesting, and kept their entire days trapped here better than it seems, she once felt protected when they were trapped in that nightmare and with all of those things, she considers him a good friend because all of those events. And now she wonders deeper, had she met Celvic in a different place and at a different time, would they have had a chance to become friends? Would they even give themselves the time to talk to each other?

"Probably not." She says. "I was pretty xenophobic towards humans because of what happened in the past, I'll probably have never give you a chance to talk to me." She chuckles as she gently lift his head from her lap and gently places him on a pillow, deciding that now is not the time to entertain herself.

She went to the other side of the bed and takes a chair, sitting down beside his sleeping form once again. She took his hand, where the contraption needle pierced his index finger and poisoned him, and the effects of the poison was clear to her eyes, blue veins covered his hand, some of it bulging through his skin and it spans from his hand all the way to his elbow. She had never seen this from Terrokarantula victims, be it cured or dead, they never had developed such symptoms, it just exhibits her fear even more.

Ellia already noticed this just a day after Celvic was bed ridden, and she still went on with the Terrokarantula cure despite the chance that it isn't a Terrokarantula venom. She couldn't think of nothing else, she put all her eggs in the basket, but it looked like she's certainly going to lose. spreading the palm of his hand, she puts her left index finger on the center of his palm and calmly prayed, her hands glowed as she used her abilities to help him in anyway. Celvic warned her from the first day about the demons finding them out because they could sense holy magic, but what could she do at this point?

If she doesn't do anything, eventually he will die and so does she as she's trapped inside forever till she starves to death. She'll probably go insane first as Celvic's corpse rots beside her before that happens. She had been trying to heal him in the last two days with her abilities as a priestess, the holy light trying to heal his illness, though it can only ease his pain as it cannot heal poisons, broken bones or illness, only open wounds, she would still need for Celvic to fight in order for him to have the chance to survive.

His resilience had been admirable for her, she never thought thought a person could want to remain alive as he is as he just kept on with the struggle. Her model of a human being has been so skewed by Lord Garithos that she forgets there are more than enough good humans worthy to be given respect, to be a friend and even a lover.

Lover, she hadn't think about it since she was a little girl thinking the most handsome prince would become her husband. Except a rich snob would be her candidate as a husband, not a lover just a husband. The word felt foreign to her, she remembered that there was never really in any moment for her that she had a boy that she liked, it has always been about being sheltered by her parents with only her own sister as a friend. Finally she felt a bit aware on what Celvic meant, frowned or not she could look at Celvic and see that he would be a better man for her than the one she is supposed to be married with.

She looked into his closed eyes and admits something she had never thought would be possible. All the days she had been trapped here, their first day on saving their own lives that led to their meeting, their animosity at first but it developed to tolerance and eventually friendship. She held out her hands and softly caresses him on his cheek. "If only we met at a different place and different time Celvic, there could have been us..." She admits, there could have been, she doesn't know if Celvic returns the same feeling for her. "If you were an Elf like me Celvic, I would have loved to meet you and perhaps take you as my husband." She says, she wants to say that she would take him still despite human, but sometimes there are just certain routes that goes too far for a person, and it she might not be one to cross it.

Ellia wonders if she is ready to die, because her gamble now to stay seems ill fated. She goes over to the box and decided to take a couple of bottles with her and sit back down again beside Celvic. Putting the bottle lid over to his lips and gently let him drink down the liquor. Alcohol had been her friend in the few days that had followed, after she had used the last of her potions, she had been using alcohol as a replacement to it blunt the pain. She is wishfully hoping that the alcoholic drink helps in clearing out the venom inside his blood stream. Though she could clearly see that there is little to no effect on its part to helping Celvic.

Pulling away the bottle from him she drank one herself, recklessly. More than her body could handle as she drank the whole bottle in one quick setting. It felt like it wasn't enough for her as she goes for an another bottle, this time not just immediately drinking all of it as she just slowly drink it down bit by bit. She wondered if ever by miracle they would both live on, she would become an alcoholic because of this, the thought of it could only make her chuckle.

Her head felt light though, she wondered how many hours had she been sleeping these days, usually she would just sit and wait for Celvic to do anything because she's too scared on what might happen, but now with the help of the alcohol and the sleepless days that she had been getting. It starts to take toll on her. "No Ellia, don't sleep..." She says as her heavy eyelids fought against her to open. She wants to remain active, but drinking an another round of alcohol is not helping her as she stood up and go to the other side of the bed, next to Celvic. "Hmmm, though I think a nap won't hurt." She says as she rests her head, thinking that everything might turn out well.

Ellia awakes at the strong shake of the bed as she immediately sat up. Her eyes widened when she saw Celvic's body rapidly shaking, his eyes were on the back of his head as all of him trembles with strong shakes, his mouth was bleeding as the result of him accidentally biting it during his seizure, all the while making dreadful sounds and painful sounds.

She immediately rushed beside him as she pressed tried to press his legs, but being so much bigger than her, his seizures just tossed her off from him. She had never saw him experience such strong seizures before, she went beside him and held his arm and press her hand over his chest in order to stop his body tossing itself around. It seemed impossible for her as each of his shakes almost tossed her from him as she tried to held on to his right hand with her left, while she kept on pressing her hand to his chest as gently possible, but strong enough to suppress him. She held on as strong as she could, as she watched Celvic accidentally biting his tongue during it all, some of it spitting out from him and landing unto her face.

"Celvic just hold on, shhh, just hold on." She tried to soothe him, but it was fruitless as suddenly her left hand was grabbed by his and during his seizure squeezed hard to the point that she could feel her bones fractures. "Grrr-" she tried to suppress the scream, as she felt her hand was crushed by his. And then he let go before shaking more rapidly for a second before stopping- in dead silence as his body suddenly went limp.

For a moment Ellia went numb when his movements suddenly stopped, suddenly stopped all too still as she could not feel her hand being lifted by his steady breathing. There were only silence, a silence that she so dreadfully fear. Her lips trembled as she softly uttered his name, intense pain of her left hand seemingly disappeared entirely. "C-Celvic?" And there were no response from him as his body was still, his eyes were closed, no breaths of life coming out from his mouth. "Celvic?!" Ellia repeats as she tried to shake him awake, and still there were no response.

It doesn't take long for her to realize that Celvic's heart is no longer beating as she immediately tried to rip out Celvic's shirt so that her hand is bare to his chest. Despite the very strong pain on her left hand, she immediately set herself up with a proper CPR position despite her injured left hand and start manually pumping his chest. "Celvic, respond please!" She yells as she desperately tried to bring him back to life, briefly stopping to perform a mouth to mouth resuscitation, it was the first time that she had done this.

Medicine was not a primary subject for priestesses like her, but because she is a healer by nature of class, they were required to know how to brew antidotes and perform CPR for life threatening situations like this, in all her years as a priestess she had never done so, she had practiced it as a student but never used until now. She mustered whatever experience, and memory that she had in learning CPR for the desperation in saving him as she repeatedly breathed air into him through his mouth. "Please, please, please." She repeats as she kept on pumping chest. Sweat were just pouring from her forehead.

"Uggh" Suddenly Celvic finally responded as he took in a large amounts of air, filling his lungs. Ellia stopped her CPR as she sat back, her own breathing were heavy as she watched Celvic breathe slowly, standing still for a few moments as she carefully watched him slowly breathe to make sure that he wouldn't go to an another dangerous episode. She could even see that the protruding dark veins in on his right hand were no longer bulging through his skin.

Finally she could assure herself that he wasn't going to die after furthering just straight up looking at him for the past hour as she broke down and gently crawled towards him, caressing him with her injured hand, not letting the pain get the best of her. "Don't you scare me like that..." She pleads, somehow despite being so close to being claimed, she knows that he is going to be alright as she kissed his forehead.

All of you know the deal, gimme my reviews!
