A/N: I had very bad writer's block for this fight... so not much else to say about that... anyway enjoy!

Chapter 37: Lighting VS. Ice

The two blue Pegasi looked at each other. The other could sense the other's power.

"I can't let Celestia rule anymore!" said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier looked at Thunder Cloud… there was something off about him.

But it was very hard to tell exactly what…

That was when Lighting Cloud began to spark with electricity.

"I am Lighting Itself! I am thunder itself!" said Lighting Cloud.

Glacier scowled, he knew very little about Eneru due to not going to the surface of the planet.

"You are nothing!" yelled Lighting Cloud.

His sparks grew more wild.

That was when Glacier came up with an idea to try to calm him down a little.

He flew away.

"Where are you going!" demanded Thunder Cloud.

However Glacier returned with a cloud that he threw at Thunder Cloud.

Thunder cloud shivered due the sheer coldness of the cloud.

"I can easily make ice clouds." Said Glacier.

"So you want a cloud fight?" asked Thunder Cloud.

"If you want it that way?" asked Glacier.

"You have no idea." Said Thunder Cloud.

He flew and grabbed a cloud of his own.

He began to use his powers on the cloud turning it into a storm cloud.

Once it was good and ready he sent it at Glacier.

"Okay… this was a terrible idea." Mumbled Glacier.

Thunder Cloud sent out another lighting cloud at him.

"I guess I'm stuck in a cloud fight." He sighed.

Thunder cloud sent out another cloud at him.

"Well I guess I have no other choice but to let this play out." He sighed.

He flew over and grabbed another cloud and froze it sending at Thunder Cloud.

This time around he hardened it a little. This way it would be a better weapon.

He then tossed it at Thunder Cloud.

This time it hit hard.

Thunder cloud managed to get up.

"You can hit hard with clouds too." Said Thunder Cloud.

"You think this is my first cloud fight?" asked Glacier.

"Yes." Said Thunder Cloud.

There an awkward since.

"This is your first cloud fight isn't it?" asked Thunder Cloud.

Glacier said nothing.

"Well hate to break it to you… but this isn't my first!" said Thunder Cloud.

He created a larger cloud, wasn't' Deathpia levels but close.

He launched it at Glacier who thankfully dodged and it exploded with a blast of lightening.

The attack was indeed a strong one.

"Why did I think a cloud fight would be a good idea?" he muttered.

"I don't know… but it was a bad idea for you." said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier gritted her teeth.

Thunder Cloud flew to another cloud.

This time he made sure it was far more powerful. Still not at Deathpia levels but still.

Glacier had to dodge once again as it exploded.

He knew he had to get out of the cloud fight.

But wasn't sure how.

However Thunder Cloud sent out another cloud at him.

He of course dodged it.

"Are you going to try again?" asked Thunder Cloud.

Glacier glared at Thunder Cloud.

"Are you going to get serious or do you want to do this all day?" mocked Thunder Cloud.

Glacier flew away.

"I guess you want to do this all day." Said Thunder cloud.

Thunder Cloud created another cloud but this one was clearly a Mini Deathpiea.

Thunder Cloud sent it towards him. However Glacier knew he had to let it hit him.

Better him than Canterlot.

Thunder Cloud smirked at it the Pegasus.

However once the explosion cleared.

"Huh… so it's a balance, I thought being made of a form of water would have effected me." Said Glacier was fully transformed into ice.

Thunder Cloud scowled.

As Glacier returned to full pony form they knew the cloud fight had to end.

Thunder Cloud glared at Glacier.

"Time to really get serious." Said Glacier.

"If you can." Said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier created an ice sword and aimed an attack at Thunder Cloud.

Thunder Cloud however trued to lighting to dodge it.

"We're evenly matched…" said Glacier.

"But I am a god!" said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier sighed, he should have known that would set him off.

"Why did I have to say that to someone with a god complex." He said to himself.

Thunder cloud began to shoot off a lot of lighting.

Glacier had to dodge a lot.

"Are you sure a god?" asked Glacier.

"What is he planning?" thought Thunder Cloud.

"I have no idea what I'm doing…" Glacier started as he began to sweat.

However Glacier wasn't going to say that outload.

And thankfully Thunder Cloud didn't hear it…

Which was a very, very good thing.

"Sure you have lighting powers! But guess what I have ice powers!" said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud glared at him.

Glacier still didn't know what to do.

But he continued, trying to come up with something.

"You're not a god." Said Glacier.

"So the false goddess counties to reign." Said Thunder Cloud.

"Has she ever considered herself a goddess?" asked Glacier, this time he was certain .

"What?" asked Thunder cloud.

"The thing about her being a goddess is just rumors… or things spread by ponies not herself." Said Glacier.

"What?" asked Thunder cloud.

This time Glacier knew what he was doing.

HE knew Celestia well thanks to his position, he had known she didn't see herself as a goddess shogun many ponies still did.

"She doesn't see herself as the goddess most ponies see her as." Said Glacier.

"How do you know!" demanded Thunder Cloud.

"Because unlike you know, I know her." Said Glacier.

"How can you claim you know her!" yelled Thunder Cloud.

"Because I've worked for her for years…" said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud stared at Glacier realizing he was right.

"Shed doesn't see herself as a goddess! It's the ponies that don't know her that do." Said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud glared at Glacier.

"You don't know her at all." Said Glacier.

"But…" said Thunder Cloud.

"have you even met her before?" asked Glacier.

"No…" said Thunder Cloud.

"Then how do you know she sees herself as a goddess!" said Glacier.

"It doesn't matter!" yelled Thunder cloud.

Thunder Cloud unleashed a large lightning bolt.

"None of this matters!" yelled Thunder Cloud.

Glacier knew that he had to stop talking.

Thunder Cloud was going to snap soon.

"This isn't good." Thought Glacier.

"I will prove to be a better god when I take my piece of Equestria!" yelled Thunder Cloud.

"You're insane!" said Glacier.

"I am god! I can have any level of sanity." Said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier looked at Thunder Cloud.

"I don't know how much damage this fight will have." Thought Glacier.

"You think you can beat me?" asked Thunder Cloud.

"I can… but not without cost." Said Glacier.

"So that's why you've been staling." Said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier said nothing.

"I guess I shouldn't hold back then!" said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier gritted his teeth.

"Now let's really start our fight." Said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier began to shake.

"Let's get serious!" said Thunder Cloud.

"Do I have a choice?" asked Glacier.

Thunder Cloud turned to lighting.

"Great…" muttered Glacier.

"Let's do this!" said Thunder Cloud.

Glacier sighed as he turned into his ice form.

He had to come up with a new plan to keep damage to a minimum.

He wasn't sure how well it would work though…

After all his opponents Haki was very powerful.

"I feel like I'm going in circles." He thought.

"You are…" mocked Thunder Cloud.

"I forgot it's like you can read my mind." Said Glacier.

Glacier realized something and flew away.

"You're not running from this fight." Said Thunder Cloud.

"I'm not trying to." Said Glacier.

"Then why are you?" asked Thunder Cloud.

"I'm running away! From Canterlot." Said Glacier.

"What!" yelled Thunder Cloud.

"I have to mitigate the damage to the city." Said Glacier.

"What?" asked Thunder Cloud.

"You never had a fight with a Logia in your past life have you?" asked Glacier.

"What?" asked Thunder Cloud.

"I have… a devastating battle." Said Glacier.

"It couldn't have been that bad." Said Thunder Cloud.

"It example changed the climate of an entire island" said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud wasn't honestly expecting that.

"What?" he asked.

"I'm not telling you the rest." Said Glacier, "I don't know what sort of effects our fight will have but I'm not holding after anymore."

Thunder Cloud looked at Glacier.

IT was clear that he couldn't avoid it anymore.

"I'm going to stop you no matter what." Said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud knew that something had changed.

IT was clear that everything was to make sure Canterlot didn't become some sort of wasteland.

He was serious now.

The air started to get colder.

"What!" yelled Thunder Cloud.

Glacier looked at him.

"I won't let you win!" said Glacier holding firm.

He flew very quickly at Thunder Cloud.

He covered his hoof in Haki.

However due to the fact that everything involing this Thunder Cloud wasn't sure how to react.

It was almost like his own Haki as failing him.

"What is this?" he thought.

However he didn't know that a part of himself was holding himself back.

Maybe it was the speech that Glacier told him earlier.

Maybe it was something else.

But it was like something had hit him.

Something inside.

IT was hard to tell what…

Maybe it was the fact that he truly didn't want any of it.

It was true… the one thing he kept from his past life was a god complex.

Most of him didn't want any of this.

But the part of him with a god complex wanted it.

The part of him that was still Eneru.

But most of him was Thunder Cloud.

Maybe it was the fact that he was out of Canterlot… with only this fight.

But he felt like he couldn't fight back.

That was when Glacier punched him and he didn't dodge.

Glacier was surprised by this.

"What?" he asked.

"I can still fight." Muttered Thunder Bolt.

"Something's wrong…" thought Glacier.

"Will win…" said Thunder Cloud.

"What?" asked Glacier.

"I said I will win…" said Thunder Cloud.

Thunder Cloud began to shake.

"There's something wrong…" said Glacier.

He then he turned back to a normal pony.

"What/" said Thunder Cloud/

"What's wrong?" asked Glacier.

Glacier began to realized that maybe what he said earlier might be true…

"I was just bluffing earlier…" said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud gritted his teeth.

"I wasn't sure really… but now.." said Glacier.

"What are you talking about!" yelled Thunder cloud.

Thunder Cloud was shaking as he said that.

Glacier looked at him.

And then took a breath.

He knew he had to finish this.

"I'm sorry." Said Glacier.

Thunder Cloud looked at Glacier.

"What for?" muttered Thunder Cloud.

Glacier took a breath.

He activated Haki into his hoof.

But Thunder Cloud didn't fight back.

Glacier then punched him and punched him hard.

Thunder Cloud fell down and Glacier had to catch him.

Glacier breathed a sigh of relief.

After all it was a very dangerous fight and he didn't want to destroy Canterlot.

"I hope whoever is fighting Firestone isn't having problems…" sighed Glacier.

Back in Canterlot Twilight was shaking as she looked at Firestone.

Her fist were swirling in her mind .

"Princess Celestia is weak." Said Firestone.

Twilight just glared at Firestone.

"You know how corrupt the World Government was…" said Twilight.

Fire Stone said nothing.

"You were there! There was blood on your hands!" said Twilight.

Firestone glared harshly at Twilight.

"Not to mention you're stuck in the old world…" said Twilight.

"What does that mean!" yelled Firestone.

"What we were in our past lives doesn't matter! Pirates! Marines… none of that matters anymore." Said Twilight.

Fire stone glared harshly at her./

"None of that matters anymore! We have new lives now! IT doesn't matter who we were in the past. What matters is now!" said Twilight, "You can still connect with your loved ones… but that's it… what you were doesn't matter!"

Firestone turned to Magma.

Twilight began to shake.

That was when he created a large fist made out of molten rock and sent it at Twilight.

She was frozen as it headed straight towards her.

That was when a figure jumped in and took the hit.

Twilight cried confused about who would do such a thing.

Then she saw who it was and breathed a sigh of relief.

It was Spike, he did look a bit dazed but he was mostly fine.

"How!" yelled Firestone at the dragon.

"I'm a dragon… that barely hurt…" said Spike.

Firestone glared at him.

"Spike!" cried Twilight.

"Hey we both know Dragon's bathe in lava and magma all the time, I'll be fine." Said Spike.

Twilight was just worried.

"I wasn't there that day remember… let me help you." Said Spike.

"Okay…" whispered Twilight.

She knew Spike would have her back… but she wasn't sure if it was good idea…

But she still fight wasn't going to be a good one for her, especially after he tried to kill her all those years ago.

All she could do is hope that they pull through, after all he was one of the strongest Devil Reincarnations there were…

Next Time: Twilight and Spike must face off against Firestone, will Twilight get over his fear... and even with his immunity will Spike be able to hold him off long enough? Find out next time!
