Chapter 20: Leads

After digging through teacher records on Alex Withmour, they came across a complaint filed in 2016.

"Hey, Danny?" Baez said.

"Yeah?" Danny answered.

"Look at this." Baez said and she handed him the complaint copy.

"Sexual Harassment complaint in 2016, undisclosed student reporting." Danny said.

"I think we need to pay a visit to NYU again." Baez smiled.

"Yes, Ma'am." Danny said and he smiled back.

They got in their car and drove off again to the NYU, they arrived and went to the Campus Police station that's located in the NYU.

"Detectives Reagan and Baez, NYPD. We need to speak with your supervisor." Baez said.

"Sure, hold on." The female campus officer said and she went to her Sergeant's Office.

"Let's hope we get the student's name." Danny quietly said.

"Mhm." Baez answered as the male Campus Sergeant approached them.

"I am Sergeant Mills, Campus Police. How can I help you detectives?" The Sergeant asked.
"We are hoping to get the name of a student who reported a teacher for sexual harassment." Baez said, giving him the copy of the complaint and he took it.

"Hm, I am afraid we can't help you without a subpoena." The Sergeant said giving them back the copy.

"You're kidding me right? This is police business, all we want is a little cooperation." Danny yelled.

"Sorry, can't help you." The Sergeant said.

"Fine, have a good day." He answered and both exited to their car and drove back to the house.

"Basically we got nothing to go on." Baez exhaled as they collapsed on the couch.

"We could talk to him." Danny said.

"Maybe, but with what evidence?" Baez asked as she stood up.

"Let's say we are looking into the cases and we speak with everyone they came into contact with." Danny said.

"Alright, let's go tomorrow, it's getting late." Baez said.

"Alright, let's go to sleep." Danny said as he kissed her and they went upstairs.
After some bed talk, they both went to sleep.
