Internal Deception
Chapter 26th
Special Agent Nick Torres wasn't all too sure about it with driving on over to Eleanor's apartment complex. He had butterflies in his stomach, though he wasn't supposed to be acting like this with Bishop. He had his share of dating women over the years of his life and including when he worked undercover.
He was going over the phone call from Bishop earlier asking him to come over. She did sounded somewhat calm with her tone of voice over the cell-phone.
He was turning down the street leading to her place. He was able to find a parking space in the front to be lucky mostly. Shutting off the engine to his vehicle with taking a deep breath before moving out of the front seat.
He moves to entrance to press her apartment to have Bishop to let him inside the hallway and to her apartment. It was quiet inside with very little traffic. He knocks on her door when Bishop with her hair up in a bun and wearing a blue tee shirt and black slacks. "Come on in Nick, anything to drink?" She needed to asked before she starts to talk with him.
"I will have a whiskey if possible Bishop." He watched her moved slowly over to the small bar that she kept in a corner for when ever she had friends over. Taking a few moments to make the two drinks, she came back over to hand him the drink while she sipped hers. "Alright Bishop, why did you call me to come here?" He was slightly annoyed while standing.
"Fine, I will get to the point Nick. I am sorry to be keeping you waiting for when it comes to the ring given to me and marrying you no doubt."
"Yes, Eleanor I came here the other time to ask me to marry me. That's if you wish to tell me an answer either way. I have thought that we have been really close the past year and I just getting tired of being alone with the rest of my life." He responded with raising arms up into the air.
She smiled. She knew that she was going to make the right decision. "The answer is yes Nick to wearing your ring and marrying you in the process. Just don't blow it Nick like what Jake did to me when I had found out the truth."
"Oh! Come on Bishop, I have no intention of ever doing that to you of all people." He walked over to her to prove it with a very passionate soft kiss onto her lips...He lifted her up off the rug into his arms to carry Bishop into the bedroom and with closing the door...

Gibbs House
Director Leon Vance was curious as to what the hell was going on to have Gibbs telling him to come to his house without a good reason. The door was unlocked to his front door of the house with the lights were on in the living room. He walked in to see his friend and Lt. Loreile Baskins sitting on the couch talking softly.
"Do you mind telling me what is all of the cloak and dagger stuff Gibbs?" He angered with his voice and annoying demeanor.
"Hold it Leon and please sit, Loreile will explain everything to you in a moment." Gibbs exclaimed with his request. "Ok."
She was able to explain to him about her suspicious nature for when it came to her boss and Vance's boss of NCIS. "I am willing tomorrow to discuss with my boss and place the GPS tracking device on him and see if he is caught in the trap. Gibbs and myself will no doubt believe that he will head for the Naval Yards and talk with your boss after he is given something on a small diskette filled with vital information for sale."
"Don't you know this is a dangerous situation for when it comes to you, Lt. Baskins? We have already had enough involvement for when it comes to the death of Hussein and the assistant warden."
"Sir, I can do this time. I will be fine believe me." She said with a slight smile.
"Gibbs, I can't believe you went along with the plan?" Vance said with annoyance raising his voice.
"The plan is sound Leon and we can catch two rats to get this damn case over for real." Gibbs shrubbed with his shoulders and neck stressing out all of a sudden.
"Very well go ahead. However I will have agents keep an eye out on you once we know that the bait has been taken." Vance announced sounding like he was fishing for Catfish. "I have been be leaving now and let the both of you go over the details for tomorrow. Good luck and good night!" He says with a smirk with watching the two of them waiting for him to leave and head home to his daughter Kayla.
Turning to face Gibbs...
"Wow! I didn't think he would go for it Jethro. But I am glad he will have agents watching in case something does goes wrong. But for now I am going to relax for the rest of the night." She smirk with Gibbs turning into her to kiss the woman.

The next day
Lt. Loreile Baskins was scared though she had a job that needed to be done. She had called her boss Frank Alexandra of the Evergreen safehouse. "I will be there shortly to discuss a delicate matter with you besides the details of the protection for Senator Murphy." She said with a lump in her throat.
Meanwhile agents from NCIS had been assigned to watching Loreile until she reached Evergreen. Besides the GPS tracking, they had placed a small electronic bug into her ear in order for those to listen in.
Parking her vehicle into the main parking lot of her bosses office. She spoke to those listening. "Ready to go inside." She said softly before entering into the building to head for the fourth floor.
She takes the elevator to the fourth floor alone. When the doors opened she walked out to head down the hallway and his office. His secretary must of been running an errand when she knocked on his office door.
He opened the door himself having gotten up with a pile of paperwork on his desk. "You made it in record time Lt. Baskins." He said calmly with asking her on whether she was interested in a drink.
"No thanks, I have business to attend with you and first I will make sure this door is locked right now." Afterwards she placed a diskette into his hands.
"What's this Lt. Baskins?" He asked having to be curious.
"You know damn well what it is sir! You're in deep with the deception and now you're caught with the cookie jar. You and Secretary of Defense Wynn Crawford won't be able to crawl out of it this time. I have to go now to study the work for when it comes to Senator Murphy." She didn't say anything further. She turned but before she did, she walked over to him to pat him on his back for a moment.
"Lt. Baskins I swear I will get even towards you along those behind this. Now get the hell out of this office before I kick you out." He cried out with anger in his tone.
