June

Tris POV:

School has just gotten out and I can't believe that at this time next year, my friends and I will all be high school graduates and going on to the next stage of our lives. School got out early this year so my birthday isn't for another week.

But it's also Wyatt's.

Our birthday is usually the hardest and it is usually the day that my father hates me the most. My mother never really blamed me for what happened nor did Caleb. But my father did, and honestly, I don't blame him. Around this time I tend to stray from myself but I don't know whether that could be a good or a bad thing. My phone buzzes interrupting my thoughts.

Hey Missy Trissy! So end of school party 2nite uri & zekes come over 4:30 2 get ready?!

Yeah ig not? What clothes should I bring?

0 I saw the perfect outfit 4 u so I got it

Ughh Chris how short is it?

Actually I think u will love it… ttyl 4:30

Okay…

Well this should be fun. Let's hope that I will actually like it and look older than a twelve year old.

I show up to Chris's at 4:30 like she told me to in the car my parents (more like my mom) got me as an early birthday present. I knock on the door and it flies open within two seconds. Literally.

"Eager much Chris?" I ask.

"Oh very much so my dear friend." She drags me into her house, up the stairs, into her bedroom, and then pushes me down on the bed. She starts basically buzzing from one end of the room to the other almost like a bee who drank too much coffee or just a ping pong ball bouncing back and forth and back and forth. I decide to make myself comfortable and I lay down on her bed. Soon enough, I start to drift off after being up late last night since it was the last day of school and the group all hung out until the early hours of the morning. The only thing to wake me is a hair brush to the face. Thanks Chris. I hear her yelling at me from my place underneath the enormous mounds of clothing.

"Get up! We only have an hour until the party and I have to both of our hair and faces!"

I hope this doesn't take too long.

Turns out it only took about 15 minutes for Chris to do my hair and make up. She curled my typically straight hair and the loose waves now rest on my shoulders. She did some natural makeup on me since she knows I wouldn't be super happy if I looked like I was caked in makeup. I had a thin layer of foundation and concealer on with only a bit of powder as well as a little blush. On my eyes, Chris gave me a natural smokey eye, small wings for eye liner, and mascara. Lastly, she put a tinted lip gloss on my lips then declared I was done.

When she started to do her hair and makeup, she told me that my dress was hanging in her closet with the matching shoes on the floor under it and to get dressed in her attached bathroom.

The dress is gorgeous.

It is a shorter, but not too short, summer dress. Its yellow with white and pink flowers and a sweetheart neckline. The heels she gave me were nude wedges that laced around the ankles. I quickly changed into the dress being careful of my hair and makeup. I sat her toilet to lace and tie the straps of the heels around my ankles. I checked my hair, makeup, and outfit in the mirror and walked out of the bathroom and back into Chris's room. She's already dressed in a red, strapless jumpsuit and platform sandals. Her makeup is a little more bold than mine with longer wings, darker eyeshadow, and deep red lipstick, but it looks amazing with the red in her outfit. Her hair is in simple waves like mine. She looks over at me.

"Oh my God, Tris!" She gasps. "You look so good! I wonder if Four will think the same?" She says, wiggling her eyebrows. I blush, but she keeps going. "Speaking of him, how far have you guys gone? Anything I should know, Trissy?"

"Chris…" I whine. She knows I hate talking about this stuff.

"Hey I'm just asking some simple questions. If you'd answer them, this whole conversation would be over already."

"Okay, fine." I surrender. "We've… made out… with some… touching I guess you could say. But we haven't done… it." I get out. Ugh that was awkward and difficult.

"Man, I was hoping for something juicy." Chris sighs. I throw a pillow at her, but she dodges it muttering about how my apparent goal in life is to mess up her makeup. She looks at her phone. "Okay, we gotta get going. It is 7:48 and the party starts at 8. We're playing Truth or Dare at 11. Let's go!" Chris bounces out of her room and down the stairs of her house. We get in her car and drive to Uriah and Zeke's. We get there at 7:55 but wait 10 minutes to be 'fashionably late' for Chris. Time to party.

So this is chapter 20. I'm sorry I haven't posted. I know its been a long time, but I am going to try to post more especially since I'm home a lot more now. Anyways, I am sorry to all of my readers and I will try to post more.
