Chapter Twenty-one: Halloween & The Chamber of Secrets
After the Coronation it was time for Vanessa to return to Hogwarts. Vanessa and Hunter had agreed to try the long distance relationship as they promise to write to each other three times a week. He even promised to visit her on their Hogsmeade trips. When the day came she introduced them to her friends from Hogwarts. Fred, George and Jordan had run off somewhere but they met Rain, Artism and Malcom. They were a bit surprised to see Malcom here of all places and Hunter was happy to see him. Then Hunter met Artism. Hunter didn't see much competition but knew that Artism had more incoming with Vanessa. With Artism, being the Hufflepuff that he was, he was kind to them but was a bit jealous and hurt when he heard Vanessa was dating Hunter.
Vanessa showed them all around Hogsmeade. They enjoyed the stores such as the joke shop and Honeydukes sweet shop. Then on the last stop she decided to show them the Shrieking Shack.
"They say that it's one of the most haunted places around." Vanessa said
"Oh please, there's no such thing." Jay scoffed
"Oh really, if you're so sure of yourself then I dare you to knock on the door." Vanessa said
"Ha. Challenge accepted." Jay smirked
He climbed over the fence and started walking towards the Shack.
"It's not really haunted is it?" Evie asked
Vanessa just looked over at her and gave them a mischief smirk before shushing them.
Jay continued walking but stopped half way there as he was getting an uneasy feeling about the place.
"You're not getting cold feet are you Jay?" Hunter joked
He and Carlos just laughed.
"Shut up, Hunter." Jay glared
He continued on till he reached the door. For a minute he hesitated till he went to knock on the door. Before he could two ghosts like being popped out of the door, scaring the daylights out of Jay and making him run away. The ghost flew in the air and popped into fireworks. That is when Fred, George and Jordan popped out of the bushes.
"Who are they?" Mal asked
"Mal, Evie, Hunter, Jay, Carlos, these are my friends Fred and George Weasley and Jordan Lee. The prank kings." Vanessa said
"Oh yeah, you two are the ones that pulled the prank on Captain Hook and his crew." Evie said
"That's us." Fred and George said together.

So far things were going well until Halloween appeared and that's when bad things happened.
Sadly for Vanessa, she had to sing for the Halloween feast since she didn't last year and this time no one disrupted it. This year she decided to dress up as a pirate.
"Alright. Alright, children settle down. Settle down." Professor Flitwick announced once the feast was over. "Now for your entertainment, our Gryffindor Pop Diva, Vanessa Potter!"
Everyone clapped in applause as they saw the princess witch step on the stage.
"Hello, everyone, Happy Halloween. And I better not hear anyone calling me that name. I was black mail into this." Vanessa said in the magical microphone.
Everyone laughed.
"Hit it." She said
With the help of Malcolm and Rain fog appeared and strobe lights were lighting up the place.

Vanessa had killer dance moves as she sang but what no one knew is that she charmed some of the armor and decorations in the room to dance along. Some students were shocked and laughed when they did.
'Y-You stayed in too late
To be getting afraid
This scene extreme

By now everyone was dancing to the song. Even the Syltherins' but some tried to contain themselves.

Suddenly all the armors and decorations circled around her and bowed.
'Gonna paint it RED

The room turned dark and the only thing that was lit were Vanessa's hands as they held flames that looked like scary jack-n'-lanterns . To this point even the teachers were impressed.

When strobe lights came back on her threw her flames to the ceiling that was bewitched and they turned to fireworks.

Everyone cheered and clapped at the great performance the princess did and pleaded for another song. Luckily she had a few more songs to try and she did. Everyone was having such a great time that almost no one noticed three second years missing the feast.
With Harry, Ron and Hermione they had gone to Nearly Headless Nick's five hundredth Deathday party. It was the promised that Harry made to Headless Nick for getting him out of trouble with Mr. Filch and he regretted it. The place was dark, cold, filled with every Ghost that stayed at the castle, there was moldy food and the music was dreadful. They stayed for a while till they had enough and were able to walk away without being seen. All of them were hoping to enjoy the feast and see Vanessa singing. They were almost there until Harry heard a strange voice.
'...rip...tear...kill…'
"Harry, what're you…?" Hermione asked
"It's that voice again...shut up a minute…" He said
'...soo hungry...for so long…'
Harry took off running with Ron and Hermione right behind him. When he came to a hult on the second floor there was water all over the floor and they saw something written on the wall.
THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE.
When they got closer they saw Mrs. Norris, the caretaker's cat, was hanging by her tail from the torch bracket. She was stiff as a broad, her eyes wide and staring. Ron tried to get them out of there but it was too late. The feast was over and every student saw them, Mrs. Norris that was hanging and what was on the wall.
"Enemies of the Heir, beware! You'll be next, Mudbloods!" Draco sneered
"What's going on here? What's going on?" Filch said
The caretaker pushed his way through the crowd of kids and he saw his beloved cat. Once he saw Harry and his friends in the middle he quickly blamed them and nearly threatened them. Vanessa quickly went to protect her cousin until Dumbledore arrived and stopped him. When he saw what was written on the wall he sent everyone to their common room. Everyone except for the Golden Trio. Vanessa sighed and wondered just what her cousin had walked into.

The next day everyone was still spooked about last night. Pretty much everyone was trying to figure out what was the Chamber of Secrets. Sadly not even all the copies of Hogwarts: A History had the answers. She tried asking Professor Binn as he knew pretty much everything in the magical world but he just continued on and on with his lessons. So she decided to ask Professor Snape if he knew something. Once everyone sat down Vanessa quickly raised her hand before he could start the class.
"Yes, Mrs. Potter?" Snape asked
"Professor, I was wondering if you could tell us anything about the Chamber of Secret?" She asked
The room got silent and they all looked at him. Snape sighed as he knew that she'd keep asking if he didn't answer.
"In honest truth, I believe it to be a myth. But...as all of you know that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin. Three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously. One did not." Snape said
"Don't need to guess who?" Malcom muttered towards Vanessa and Artism.
"Silences Mr. Mim." Snape said "Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. He believed magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. In other words, pure-bloods. Since he was unable to sway the others , he decided to leave the school. Now, according to legend Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle known as the Chamber of Secrets. Though, shortly before departing, he sealed it until that time when his own true Heir returned to the school. The Heir alone would be able to open the Chamber and unleash the horror within, and by so doing purge the school of all those who in Slytherin's view, were unworthy to study magic"
"Muggle-borns." Artism said
Snape nodded and continued on.
"As I said before it is nothing but a myth. The school has been searched many times in the past and no such chamber has been found." He said
He tried to start his lesson but Artism raised his hand.
"Mister Scamander."
"Professor? What exactly does legend tell us lies within the Chamber?" Artism asked
"The Chamber is said to be home to something that only the Heir of Slytherin can control." Snape explained "It is said to be the home of a monster."
With that said he continued on with his class. Once class was over everybody headed out.
"Do you think it's true? Do you think there really is a Chamber of Secrets?" Malcom asked
"Yes. Can't you see? All the teachers are worried...even Professor Snape. And that's not easy to do." Vanessa said
"If there really is a Chamber of Secrets, and it really has been opened, that means…" Artism replied
"The Heir of Slytherin has returned. But who?" Rain asked
"Well, let's see. Who do we know who's all about purebloods right, that's in Slytherin and their whole family believes all Muggle-borns are scum?" Malcom commented while looking over at Luca.
Vanessa saw this and scoffed.
"Really Malcom. You actually think Luca is the heir." She said
"Hello, didn't anyone hear what his little brother said last night? You'll be next, Mudbloods." Malcom said
"Yes, I heard the twerb. But the Malfoys' as the heir's, please. Draco is nothing but all talk and wuss. Luca...well...maybe...I'm not sure." She replied
"He does have some points, Vanessa. Their family have been in Slytherin for centuries." Rain said
"I just don't know guys, it just seems too obvious." Vanessa muttered
One thing for sure, she knew that her cousin and his friends were gonna meddle with this. Not to mention they'll blame the same person they were thinking.
