I'm sorry about not posting yesterday I worked 11 hours and was exhausted afterward. I hope this makes up for it. About the different ships. This fic will definitely stay AdrienxMarinette ship wise, but if an idea comes to mind for another pairing for the two like my Felinette one I think I'll just post it here. This started off as just a compilation of my old works and turned into something I'm really proud of so I hope a few different ships of the main characters here and there won't bother y'all too much. Also, I feel like I should give credit to this idea. It's mostly from the Manhwa: The Villain's Savior and just random soulmate TikTok's I saw lol.

Marinette was running late like usual. She rushed out of bed, making sure not to fall down the steps. She stood in the shower, letting the warm water wake her up as she rushed to wash her hair.
She wrapped a towel around her body, the seal on her bicep was a deep red. In about a year she'd beagle to show it off with pride and find her soulmate. Soulmate seals appear on everyone at birth and it's customary to keep them hidden until you're an adult so you can have an unbiased childhood.
She ran her fingers over the markings, following the circular pattern. It was similar to a tattoo but more intricate.
Marinette pulled on her usual jacket to cover it, heading out for the school. Alya met her at the main entrance. She and Nino were hand in hand. They'd been dating for years now. Alya wore a crop top, exposing the skin of her stomach and her seal.
"Alya! You know we're not supposed to show anyone until we turn 18," Marinette gave her friend a worried look, covering the area with her hands, looking around wildly if anyone else had seen.
"Oh what does it matter we have the same seal anyway," Alya smiled at Nino as he nodded.
Marinette was too afraid someone wouldn't have the same seal as her. She envied them. They'd been together for so long only to find out they really were soulmates, she wished it could be that easy for her.
They walked into class and sat in their usual seats. Adrien walked in shortly after them, laughing with Nino as he sat down, congratulating them. The class went by quickly as Marinette drew designs rather than listen.
Today was especially hot as they did gym class. Marinette took a break, sitting in the locker room. She let out a quiet hello, and when no one answered she took off her jacket. It was almost summer and the heat was sweltering. She wiped the sweat off her forehead, enjoying the coolness on her arms.
"Marinette?" A familiar voice came from around the corner. She struggled to cover the mark as Adrien came around the corner. "Ah, sorry," he looked away quickly. She prayed he hadn't seen. She pulled the jacket back on.
"Did you need something, Adrien?" He slowly turned to look at her and let out a sigh of relief when her arm was covered again. He chuckled awkwardly.
"I was just checking on you," he rubbed the back of his neck as it got awkward.
"Uh… thanks," she smiled and headed past him. Her face was a blushing mess. Why? Why did it have to be him? She wanted to scream but rushed back out to everyone else.
Adrien stood in the locker room, covering his smile with his hand. He hadn't expected to meet his soulmate like this. His hand clasped the matching deep red seal on his bicep. He jumped for joy. He had to be the luckiest guy on earth. Marinette was sweet, cute, and talented.
He'd slowly been getting over Ladybug. He had been holding out on letting her go thinking she might be his soulmate and now he had confirmation. He knew everything happened for a reason. He couldn't tell Marinette he found out, not with the reaction she gave. He would respect her boundaries.
"What do I do Plagg?" His kwami looked up at him from his pocket, giving him a look. A good idea came to mind.
Marinette was still embarrassed as the last bell rang. Luka met her outside the school as class ended. She smiled at him and he took her hand. She looked at him confused but he just smiled and pulled her to the park in silence. Was there something wrong?
Luka smiled at Marinette. "There's something I want to show you Marinette," Luka stared deep into her eyes as he pushed up his sleeve. She tore her eyes away from his long enough to see his seal.
The black circular seal on the inside of his wrist stood out against his pale skin. She gaped at him.
"Luka… I-" she couldn't find the right words to say so she just showed him.
Marinette lifted her sleeve with false hope. Maybe the universe would be kind and change fate. But when his face dropped she knew it would never happen.
"I… see," he squeezed his eyes shut before smiling at her. "It's okay Marinette you don't have to be my soulmate for me to know I love you," she stared up at him. "I know that… we shouldn't be together. But I do love you. Maybe not the same way I'll love my soulmate but you've taken space in my heart that no one can replace," she smiled up at him fully understanding what he meant. She hugged him tightly.
He looked at his seal with a melancholy smile. It might hurt to lose your first love but he knew he had an even greater love waiting for him somewhere.
Marinette made her way home and sighed.
"Not now Chat," he could tell from the look on her face she was emotionally drained.
"What happened purrincess?" he asked gently, stepping closer. She sat on her lounge, smiling sadly up at him.
"My friend showed me his seal… and it just wasn't meant to be," she squeezed the area on his wrist.
Chat pushed back his own happiness, kneeling in front of her, trying to comfort her. "I'm sure he understands Mari, that's just how things are he'll find his soulmate just like you will," he hinted, resting a hand on hers, pulling the tight grip of her hand off her back tears. She didn't know why she felt so sad, she should've known. Fate was cruel. She hated to admit the boy in front of her did help though.
She pulled him into her arms, holding him tightly. He slowly rested his arms on her back once the shock wore off, patting her head. She sniffled and he picked her up.
"C-chat?!" He held her bridal style, climbing the stairs to her bed with catlike ease. He laid her in the bed gently, wiping the tears from her face.
"In times like this you need a catnap," he smiled down at her. She giggled, finally smiling at him.
"You're right," she sighed. "But not without my kitty." She pulled him into the bed with her, separating them with a pillow. A wall was still between them emotionally, well in this case a long stuffed cat pillow.
Chat opened laid his open palm on the pillow as an invitation as he gazed into her eyes. She laid her hand in his gloved one and they interlocked fingers as she dozed off.
He gazed at her beautiful face as she fell asleep, mouth parted. He could hold out for a few more months if every day was like this.
