Chapter 22: The Grand Elder

Chi Cha, Krillin and Chi Chi had been following Dende for several minutes.

As they flew, Krillin asked, "uh, Dende, you mind if I ask you something?"

Dende, "what is it?"

Krillin, "you said you've never seen a woman before, right?"

Dende, "yes. They don't exist here on Namek."

Krillin, "well, then how come you didn't react to Chi Cha all weird?"

Dende, "what do you mean?"

Chi Chi, "Chi Cha is my daughter. She's a girl."

Dende, "oh! Well, with her age, I thought she was just a pretty boy."

Chi Cha, "you think I'm pretty!?"

Dende, "yes. When I learned you were a female, your beauty made sense."

As that conversation ended, with Chi Cha and Dende blushing up storms, they caught sight of their destination. A large dome like building atop a towering plateau.

Dende, "there it is! The home of the Grand Elder, Lord Guru!"

Soon, all four of them stood outside the home, when they heard someone walk outside. Out of the large hut came an adult Namekian man in a blue vest and white pants. He looked a lot like Piccolo.

Dende, "oh Nail, it's good to see you!"

Nail, "Dende. What are you doing here? And who are these people?"

Dende, "my village, and many others have been attacked by invaders. I was the only survivor. These people, Earthlings, saved me from them."

Nail, "hmm, I've been sensing much loss on our planet. These men are after the Dragon Balls, are they not?"

Chi Cha, "yessir. We only came to Namek to ask to use them to bring our friends back."

Krillin, "yeah, and these men wanna use it for more diabolical reasons."

Dende, "so I've taken them to see the Grand Elder, so we may hide his Dragon Ball in a safe place, so these evil men won't find them!"

Nail, "hmm, you'll have to ask permission from the Grand Elder himself. Follow me inside."

And so, everyone followed Nail into the building. He climbed onto a platform, not unlike the one for Kami's ship, and the others followed him onto it.

Nail, "Piccolo."

The platform went up, entering the second floor of the hut. And everyone now saw what the Grand Elder looked like.

He was a very large and older namekian in a red vest, red scarf, and white pants. His eyes looked closed, but he could clearly see the people in front of him.

He was huge, compared to the group before him.

Nail, "Lord Guru, you have visitors. Dende, and a group of Earthlings."

Guru took a deep breath and said, "greetings Earthlings. I am Lord Guru. Please speak your names."

Krillin, "hello there Lord Guru. I am Krillin."

Chi Chi, "Chi Chi."

Chi Cha, "I'm Chi Cha."

Lord Guru, "can you explain to me why you are here?"

Chi Chi, "well, you see Lord Guru, about a month ago, our planet was attacked by two very terrible men. And in the battle, we lost our friends."

Krillin, "Chief Bora and his son Upa, former Emporer Chaotzu, and a member of your race, Piccolo."

Nail, "a Namekian lived on your world?"

Chi Cha, "two. Well, sorta. The Guardian of our world was a Namekian named Kami. He created Dragon Balls on Earth, and split himself in two."

Lord Guru, "I am familiar with this. Long ago, I too was split into two halves to purge the evil from myself."

Chi Chi, "Piccolo was the evil half. But when he chose to help us defend the Earth, he lost his life."

Krillin, "he sacrificed himself to save the son of my best friend."

Lord Guru, "I know of whom you speak. An old friend of mine, before our world was struck with famine, sent their child away until it was safe for them to return. It saddens me to know of his passing."

Chi Chi, "so, we came here to Namek in order to bring our friends, and thus, our Dragon Balls back."

Krillin, "but we had no idea that your planet was in danger."

Dende, "so they've come up with a plan!"

Nail, "what kind of plan?"

Chi Chi, "we hide your, and whatever Dragon Balls we find from these men, and wait for some help in order to fight these men, and save Planet Namek."

Lord Guru stayed silent for a moment, before he reached up and plucked the One-Star ball from the top of his throne, and slowly handed the large orb into Krillin's outstretched arms.

Krillin, "woah, these things are much bigger than ours!"

Lord Guru, "before any of you leave, I have one last thing to give you."

Nail, "Lord Guru?"

Lord Guru, "I sense much power locked away within these three. I can unlock it for them, so they may grow stronger in the future. All three of you, please, line up, and join together."

Krillin, Chi Cha and Chi Chi all stood side by side at the side of the throne. Chi Cha and Chi Chi set their hands on Krillin's shoulders.

Guru's hand was held above Krillin's head, when suddenly, white hot energy seemed to envelope the three fighters! They felt something unlock within, unlocking some hidden strength that they didn't even know was there!

And just as quickly, it ended. Guru took his head away and said, "you have so much potential. You will grow stronger than you thought possible."

Krillin, "I feel it!"

Chi Chi, "wait, if you made us stronger, could you do that for two more of us? A boy named Gohan and my husband, Yamcha?"

Guru, "I suppose I could. Bring your friends here, and I shall unlock whatever potential they have underneath."

Chi Cha, "thank you Mr. Guru."

Nail led the trio out, as Dende decided to stay behind with Nail and Guru for now, much to Chi Cha's disappointment.

And soon, the three fighters raced off back to camp, with the Dragon Ball in tow!

….

Meanwhile

Vegeta was standing atop a very high plateau, overlooking the only village that had not been attacked by Frieza and his men.

He slowly flew down, surprising the Namekian's who were all gathered together.

The leader asked, "um, young man, what are you doing here?"

Vegeta simply gave an evil smirk and cracked his neck….

….

During this, we see a large space ship, almost shaped like a UFO you would see in a cheesy B-movie from the 50's.

Frieza was standing in his ship's throne room, drinking a glass of blood red wine. Nearby were the five Dragon Balls he had gotten his grubby mits on.

He was waiting for a report on what happened to Dedoria. He had been gone for so long, that something must have happened to him.

Within a few minutes, Zarbon entered through the door, bowing to Frieza.

Zarbon, "Lord Frieza, we believe we know what happened to Dedoria."

Frieza, "speak plainly Zarbon."

Zarbon, "our men at the ship seemed to pick up some very high power levels. One was Dedoria. The other was that huge power level that killed Cui."

Frieza, "... Vegeta."

Zarbon, "that's what we believe sir. He's gotten stronger, and must have killed Dedoria."

Frieza, "well, Zarbon, here is what I want you to do. One; find Vegeta. Two; get him out of the picture. And three; do NOT fail me like Dedoria did."

Zarbon, "yes Lord Frieza!"

As Zarbon ran off, Frieza began to ponder if he should call in a certain group of elite fighters….

As Zarbon walked through the ship, ready to grab one of the only scouter left on the ship, he stopped by a room that was flanked by two guards.

Zarbon, "just checking on Prisoner-G, before I head off."

Guards, "yessir."

Zarbon entered the dimly lit room, and stared at what sat in the middle of it. A large cryogenic storage pod. And inside of it was a Saiyan woman in her mid thirties, with short black hair and brown and pink Saiyan armor. With a tail wrapped around her waist.

Zarbon, "such a pretty face, frozen in time. Lord only knows how Raditz would've acted if he learned we have Gine like this…."

And so, the green-skinned minion left the room, ready to start his task of capturing Vegeta.

….

Vegeta stood among the burning remains of the Namekian Village, holding the Dragon Ball in his hand. The seven star ball. He knew he'd have to hide it, so no-one else would be able to get it. So, the Prince threw the large orange orb into the water in front of him, waiting for it to sink to the bottom before he decided to race off. As he did so, he slowly began to notice a power level following him.

He turned around, and saw a green haired silhouette far enough away So he couldn't make the figure out 100%.

It wasn't until he stopped, and the figure started getting closer that he saw it was Zarbon! Zarbon immediately went on the attack, punching at the Saiyan who was barely able to dodge.

As this occurred, Zarbon yelled, "where's the Dragon Ball, Vegeta?! I know you've hidden it!"

Vegeta, "like I'd tell YOU anything, pretty boy!"

The two kept trading blows. In his current form, Zarbon and Vegeta were evenly matched. Vegeta even seemed to be gaining the upper hand as he and Zarbon separated, both glaring daggers as they caught their breaths.

And then, Zarbon smirked and said, "you think you've won, do you?"

Vegeta, "what does it look like?"

Zarbin, "well, I've got a little secret for you…."

Vegeta, "please don't tell me you wanna see my 'other' tail?"

Zarbon, "oh KAMI no! Why dies everyone assume I'm gay?!"

Vegeta, "well then, what is it?"

Zarbon, "you know how you Saiyans can transform into giant monkey's?"

Vegeta, "who doesn't?"

Zarbon, "well, I myself, can do the same thing."

Vegeta, "oh, so what do YOU turn into? A giant frog?"

Zarbon snickered, "close. My second form isn't as good looking as this one, but it gets the job done."

Vegeta took a step back as Zarbon started growling, veins popped out on their forehead, and their skin started getting all bumby. As they transformed, Zarbon looked like some sort of deformed frog man!

As Zarbon finished his transformation, he spoke in a gruff voice, "I'mma rape ya, BITCH!"

(I had to make another DBZA home here).

Vegeta, "what the fu-"

ZArbonunged forward and started wailing on the Saiyan Prince like he was a ragdoll!

The Prince was no match for Zarbon at this rate! This went on for several long agonizing minutes as Vegeta could only try to block and dodge any of the attacks aimed at him. The only strike Vegeta made that was effective was smashing Zarbon's scouter into scrap metal!

And finally, Vegeta was knocked down and unconscious by a well placed punch to the gut. As Vegeta lay there, Zarbon hefted the Prince onto this shoulders, "Lord Frieza will be pleased with this."

And thus, as he transformed back to his regular form, Zarbon flew off towards Frieza's ship with the Prince of All Saiyans in tow….

….

Bulma was sitting by the cave, fiddling with the cannon on her arm. She was worried right now. Gohan and Yamcha had run off when they had caught the signal of the last Dragon Ball that had yet to be taken.

As she sat there, she looked up and suddenly saw Krillin, Chi Chi and Chi Cha flying towards her.

Bulma, "oh Thank Kami, you guys are back!"

Krillin, "yep, and look at what we found!"

Bulma was amazed by the size of the Dragon Ball.

Bulma, "jeez, these are Namekian Dragon Balls? They're bigger than my head!"

Krillin, "yep! Now we have a slight advantage!"

Chi Chi, "say, uh…. Where are Gohan and Yamcha?"

Bulma, "well, they said they wanted to search for the last Dragon Ball before they went off to meet with this Grand Elder guy."

Chi Cha, "let's hope they stay safe."

Krillin, "I guess we should just hide out here for now until they get back?"

Chi Chi, "that sounds good for now."

….

Vegeta was held within one of those medical pods, as the machine healed the injuries he had sustained from Zarbon. Zarbon was there, watching the Saiyan. He needed to know where that other Dragon Ball was.

But, he also had to report back to Frieza, to inform him of Vegeta's capture.

So, he went on ahead towards the communication room, where anyone could make calls to friends, family, or in Frieza's case, a certain powerful group of fighters he needed right now.

Zarbon entered the room, just as Frieza was ending his call with five silhouetted figures. One was really small and dumpy. One was large with short spiked hair. One was large with what looked like bumps on its head. One was normal sized with long spiky hair. And the last was a fairly muscular man with horns.

Frieza, "thank you Captain Ginyu. Please get here as fast as you can with that new batch of scouters.

"Yes Lord Frieza sir!"

As the transmission ended, Frieza turned back to Zarbon, "ah, Zarbon. What news do you have for me?"

Zarbon, "I have been able to capture Vegeta. He is in a medical pod as we speak. Once he's out, we'll force the information on the Dragon Ball he's hidden out of him."

Frieza, "very good Zarbon. Very good."

Little did either of them know, Vegeta had just woken up from his slumber, (swearing he heard Nappa's voice). He quickly blasted himself out of the pod, killing the soldier monitoring him. Before anyone could react, Vegeta raced through the ship, and entered Frieza's throne room. He grabbed each large orb one by one, throwing them out of the window, and they soared far away into a hidden chasm Vegeta had scoped out earlier. A great place to hide the Dragon Balls. As Vegeta turned around, he found several soldiers surrounding him. Before anyone could react, Vegeta blasted all of them in one single fell swoop, and zoomed off, quickly locking into the power level of the Earthlings, and sped off before Frieza and Zarbon could see where he went!

….

Zarbon had just started to catch up with Vegeta, watching as about twenty minutes after he had escaped, he now stood before Krillin and the others.

Krillin, "the Hell are you doing here?!"

Vegeta, "selling biggot scout cookies, WHAT DO YOU THINK!?"

Chi Chi, "you aren't getting this Dragon Ball!"

Vegeta, "oh, I think I am, unless you wanna join those friends of yours from Earth?"

Before anyone could blink, Zarbon had jumped down and was glaring daggers at Vegeta.

Zarbon, "Vegeta!"

Vegeta, "oh look, it's Frieza's best boot licker!"

Zarbon, "shut it."

Bulma found herself staring at the green man who had just arrived, chanting in her head, 'I'm a married woman, I'm a married woman, I'm a married woman!'

Zarbon, "now, listen close Vegeta. You WILL give me that Dragon Ball. You WILL lead me to the other one you have hidden. Or I am going to rip your heart out of your ads and shove it back down your throat!"

Chi Cha whispered, "that's literally impossible."

Vegeta, "oh, that's not gonna happen Zarbon. What I AM gonna do, is kill you, take their Dragon Ball, grab that other one I hid, put them all together, and make my wish."

Zarbon grinned madly as he suddenly transformed into his stronger form.

Chi Chi, "gah!"

Bulma, "kill it with fire!"

Chi Cha, "he looks like a toad left in the sun for hours on end!"

Krillin, "mother…."

Vegeta simply smirked. The two enemies lunged at one another, but unlike before, Vegeta was slowly but surely gaining the upper hand in the fight. Due to him losing that last battle, Vegeta was now strong enough to kill Zarbon! Now the shoe was on the other foot! Zarbon grew angrier and angrier as Vegeta punched and kicked him left and right. Zarbon tired one last attack, trying to blast a burst of energy from his mouth, but it was cut off as Vegeta plunged his arm through the alien's middle.

As Vegeta grinned at Zarbin, he tried begging for his life.

Zarbon, "w-wait, Vegeta, p-please! I-I think we s-should, w-work together! T-take down Frieza!"

Vegeta, "let me stop you right there, before you repeat what I've already heard twice in the last two days. And listen to what I'm about to say."

Zarbon, "a-and what's that?"

Vegeta, "I'm about to blow my load inside of you."

Zarbon, "w-what?"

Vegeta, "no homo."

Vegeta fired a blast of energy that sent Zarbon back, but then incinerated him into nothing, not even ash!

As it was quiet for a few moments, Vegeta said, "Freaky Alien Genotype."

Vegeta turned to the frightened Earthlings, "now, about that Dragon Ball?"

Korin had no choice if he didn't wanna get the others killed. He carefully passed the Dragon Ball to Vegeta. The Prince of All Saiyans grinned and said, "until next time…."

Vegeta flew away, leaving the group there.

Chi Chi, "well, now what do we do?!"

Krillin, "Gohan and Yamcha will have the last Dragon Ball. They'll obviously head to Lord Guru's house after they find it. We should meet them there. All of us. You too Bulma.

Bulma, "right, just give me a second to put everything back into their capsules!"

As soon as Bulma had her Capsules stored away, the group all flew towards Lord Guru's home. Bulma had built a jet-pack into her suit so she could flu alongside them.

….

We see Yamcha and Gohan hiding, making sure the Dragon Ball they had found was hidden in a small crevice on the plateau they hid on. They had sensed Vegeta's power level, and thus, were hiding.

Unfortunately, as Vegeta went by them, holding the One Star Dragon Ball under his arm, he caught onto their power levels, and stopped.

Vegeta, "I know you're out there! Come on out!'"

Yamcha and Gohan stayed hidden.

Vegeta suddenly powered up a bright ball of energy in his hand, "if you don't come out, I'll turn this area into nothing but rubble before I find those other Earthlings! One…."

"..."

"... Two…."

"..."

"... Thre-"

"HEY!"

Vegeta turned his head to see Yamcha and Gohan standing there, scared out of their wits, but standing up to the Saiyan.

Vegeta, "well look who it is! The little hybrid, and the man who almost got killed by a Saibaman!"

Yamcha, "the name's Yamcha!"

Vegeta, "does it look like I care? And what the Hell is with the watch you're wearing?"

Gohan looked at the Dragon Radar, "oh, right. It's a watch. It tells time…. And nothing else."

Vegeta, "yep, that's what watches do."

Vegeta now stood before the two fighters.

Yamcha, "ngh, stay back!"

Vegeta, "yeah, like that's a credible threat. But, y'know, I think I'm gonna go easy in the boy the next time we meet."

Gohan and Yamcha pulled confused faces.

Vegeta, "you, your father, uncle and I. We're the last of the Saiyan race…."

Vegeta seemed to actually grow a kind face before he punched both Gohan and Yamcha in the gut, making them double over.

Vegeta, "so you better decide what side you should be on."

With that, Vegeta raced off towards where he hid the other Dragon Ball. And even as Gohan and Yamcha were in pain, they gave bitter grins as they grabbed the Dragon Ball, and flew off towards the Grand Elder's home….

TheMediaGhost: it'll probably still be Krillin who gets killed by Frieza. While Bulma had the suit, she wouldn't really be useful in the fight against Frieza, so she would most likely stay behind. But I will tell you this; someone else WILL get killed with Krillin. I won't reveal it now, but it's gonna happen, and that person will be brought back along with Krillin, Bora, Upa and Chaotzu.

PokemonFreak90: my plan is that Gine has been held captive in a form of suspended animation that makes her age slower. So physically, she'll look like she's in her late thirties, or early forties, but in reality, she would be somewhere in her mid fifties.

mmat: no. She would get teleported off of the Planet with everyone else besides Goku and Frieza. And as for any other Saiyans, Tullece and Tarpal would most likely appear later on.

yasserkend8: I felt like Raditz would have gotten used to low gravity after so long, so he and Goku would start off at ×10 and work their way up. That, and Raditz is trying to get used to calling Goku by his Earth name, hence why he slips up at times and almost calls him Kakkorot.

A fairly long chapter, what with everything I was able to get into this one.

As you can see, I'm trying to build up Chi Cha and Dende as a couple. They find one another cute, and later, when he becomes the Guardian of Earth, he and Chi Cha pursue a relationship. Eventually, I would have Dende make a wish that would allow him to have a child and to be intimate with Chi Cha when they are adults. Just a neat idea I thought of when thinking of the various relationships in the story.

Poll results thus far: Marvel has 6 votes, Bruce Timm DCAU has 5 votes, Ben 10, (my favorite option), has 4 votes, and Star Wars is at 3 votes.

I try to think of what the story will be for each story.

Like, for the DC one, it would most likely be a Batman x ? story. For Ben 10, I was thinking that Ben goes back to the Ultimatrix, finds one of the baby Big Chill's from Alien Force, and while he raises it with help from his friends and family, he ends up in a romance with one of the many women in the Ben 10 universe, most likely someone like Looma, Ester, Attea, Helen or Charmcaster, (no Gwen or Kai, since one is incest, and the other is canon, and this story isn't supposed to be, since it's in an alternate future shortly after Omniverse). For Marvel, it would most likely be a Spiderman x ? story. And as for Star Wars, it would be a human man and an alien woman, surviving in the world of the Empire.
