Part 22 Mapping the World?!

This chapter will be in Lucia's point of view.

Last time on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon ZB, our heroes were finally on their first job for the Expedition Society! Their mission, Going to the Stone Forest and retrieving a Zorua's lost item. A task which they completed with no problems other than a Monster House. What will happen today? Find out, now!

The next morning, we woke up like we normally do. And then Jirachi said, "Everybody! The Pokémon Nexus... is officially fixed!"
"Whoa! It's just like it... used to be? Wait a sec... wasn't it...?" I asked.
"Such stylish repairs! I knew I could count on you, Jirachi. And so quickly, too!" Ampharos told Jirachi.
"Of course. I'm a genius at this, after all." Jirachi said.
"We'll have to redo the whole map... huh? Everything outside of the Water Continent. We have to do it all again..." Archen then said.
"Yeah. What did you expect? I may be a genius, but even I can't just recreate all that data." Jirachi then told him.
"All my hard work down the drain... Heh..." Archen then said.
"Cheer up, Archen! It's happened before, and we always redo it! It's nothing new to us!" Kaiden then told Archen as he tried to cheer him up.
"Kaiden's right, you know." Jennifer then said.
"Who was next in line for mapping duty?" Bunnelby then asked.
"Oh yeah! About that... I was actually thinking... that I want Lucia and Jordon to take the next turn for us." Ampharos then said.
"What?! Lucia and Jordon?!" Buizel then asked Ampharos.
"That's right. It's true that they don't have any experience. But when you think about it, that might be a good thing. Mapping the world is a completely new task for these two. And the newer it is... the more passion they will approach their duty with! Unlike you all." Ampharos then said.
"That's true!" Buizel then said.
"Yeah, there's really not the same thrill going back to a place you explored before." Archen then added in.
"We've all had to redo the map so many times now that I've lost count. It's become more like a job than anything." Bunnelby then said.
"Brilliant idea, boss! I bet these two will make a fantastic new map for us!" Dedenne then said.
"It looks like there are no objections then. So how about the two of you? This is a very important task. Can we count on you to do it?" Ampharos asked us.
"O-of course you can! It's always been my dream to do something like this!" I told him.
Jordon, however, asked him, "But... are you sure we can do a good enough job?"
"Of course. We wouldn't have let you join if we didn't expect great things from you." Mawile told us.
Then after everyone else wished us good luck, Jordon put our Connection Orb into the Pokémon Nexus and then we were working on the map.

I still can't believe that happened! Lucia said.

See. I told you that we would be able to do your dream. Jordon said.

And the next few days, we were off doing work. However, one day, Jordon had to talk with Ampharos. He did however let me pick the job for us. And so I said to myself as I entered the plaza, "Hmm. Which job should I pick? Oh I just don't know!"
And then I heard a voice from before that I didn't like at all. It was Krokorok, and he said to me, "Hey! You there! Yeah, I'm talking to you. Remember me? The name's Krokorok. Boy, am I ever glad I ran into you again."
I made a weird face at him. "Why you gotta go and make a face like that when a good pal like me just says hi? You're making me feel bad... maybe a bit of money will help me forg-." Krokorok told me before being interrupted by Buizel.
"What do you think you're doing, Krokorok!" Buizel asked him.
"B-Buizel" Krokorok then said.
"You wouldn't be trying to extort one of our newest members, now would you? Not that I would expect anything else from you." Buizel then told him.
"Hah...hahaha... little ol' me? Never... just saying hi to my new friend, that's all. Right, friend?" Krokorok then asked me.
"Somehow, I doubt that. Regardless... if I do find you picking on her... you will live to regret it!" Buizel then told him.
"Eek!" Krokorok said as a Krookodile then appeared.
"What's going on here?" Krookodile then asked.
"M-Mr. Krookodile!" Krokorok then said.
"Krookodile!" Buizel then said.
"I've seen enough for me to get involved!" Jordon said as he then leaped out in front of us.
"Jordon!" I said.
"I thought I told you this the last time we met, Krokorok. I won't let you harm Lucia." Jordon then told him.
"Hmm. Come on, Krokorok. Trash like this isn't worth our time." Krookodile told Krokorok.

Later that night, "You two sure have some good appetites on you! I like to see that" Kaiden said as Jordon and I were eating dinner.
"Eat up so that you have plenty of energy to take on some grand adventures!" Jennifer then told us.
"Thanks! That's what we try to do!" I told them.
"So do you two want to come with us overseas?" Kaiden then asked us.
"Sure! When are we going?" Jordon asked him.
"Tomorrow!" Jennifer told us.
